Your most emotionally intense moments in Final Fantasy

1) Well, even if my favourite ff is number VIII, I have to say that it is very very emotional every time I see the end of FFIX (because of Vivi's words and the final scene when Steiner and Beatrix open the door to Garnet).

2) Squall & Rinoa on the Ragnarock and Laguna-Julia scene in FFVIII

3) In FFVI of course the (final) death of Rachel. Poor Locke.

1. The end of FF7
2. Death of Aeris
3. Seifer pwns Odin, then gets pwned by Gilgamesh (lol, 2x epic)
4. Death of Rachel
5. Fight with Yunalesca
6. Death of Zack and the end of FF7 Crisis Core
7. Kefka breaks the alignment of the 3 statues and kills Emperor Gestahl
8. Exdeath is consumed by the Void, and becomes Neo ExDeath
9. Sin's arrival at Zanarkand and other locations
10. Celes and Cid trapped alone on the island after the destruction of the world

Sad Final Fantasy scenes.

Ever cried at Final Fantasy?

The scenes that made me cry were:

FF4: Edwards
'Death'
i loved him more then anyone in ff4 apart from rydia obviously.

FF5: Gilgamesh final battle, just his speech to everyone especially Bartz: "Bartz.... i wanted to fight you one more time mano-a-mano. You have admirable companions i envy you." I felt close to Gilgamesh and he was one of the recurring fights where you were like "Yes W00t he's here!"

FF6: Sabin and Edgar's Figaro castle scene, their father has died and the way that they just speak.... Gau and his father, Gau was the worst character in the game but the most usefull probably, anyway, t's just sad that his father left him on the Veldt as a child. Cyans dreams, i totally cried like a baby at this one. Locke's scene
where Rachel dies
you knew nothing was gonna happen but again it's the speech. Terra in mobliz with the children, she protected them and cares for them and then realises why she has to fight. I suppose the final speech before Kefka made me cry aswell. It was just like: "I know what love is, My family lives on inside me, I know why i have to fight."

FF7: Probably the Seto and Nanaki scene although i didn't cry that much as other scenes in previous games.

FF8: the ending, i loved the game but it wasn't really as sad as 6.

FF9: Kuja's
death
scene. He just realises what friendship is and why Zidane is fighting.

Crisis Core: Clearly the ending. "Those wings, i want them too." Whole scene made me cry and made Cloud cry too.

I think that's it, there were other sad scenes from the series but these are the saddest scenes for me.

Whilst I don't think I've ever cried at an FF scene (did cry at a pokemon anime scene once though 8() there are some scenes that made a big impact on me at the time.

FFIV: Two scenes stand out for me here, first one is Palom and Porom
when they 'sacrifice' themselves to save Cecil, Tellah and Yang
. The second one is at the end when
Golbez decides to join Fusoya and go to the Lunar sleep, and Cecil has to bring himself to forgive him
.

FFV: The final appearance of Gilgamesh, when he turns up
to save your party against necrophobe in order to give you a chance versus Exdeath. It was both an awesome and a sad moment seeing as he was probably my favourite character from that game
.

FFIX: The
destruction of Lindblum, whilst Garnet pretty much breaks down and Zidane just looks on. That one got me just to see my favourite characters so helpless and to see my favourite place in the game destroyed
.

Well the ending for any game is always sad, I'm always so sad to see it end :gonk:But here are some specific scenes I saw especially sad.

FF7- SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Aerith's you know what, obviously. Especially Cloud's reaction, and the sad music. It's all so...sad :'(
Sorry, spoiler tags ain't workin.
FF10-
When Tidus found out Yuna would die. It's very heartbreaking. And also the ending, it was the most tragic of any game.
DoC- Every frickin scene of the game was sad! It is a very sad game.I still loved it to bits, but finding out poor Vinnie's past was both sad and depressing :(

Well that's it. The only other games I've played are 8, 10-2 and 12, and those games had no really sad or tragic scenes. Funny how the two games considered best in the series (haven't played 9) have many sad and tragic scenes :hmmm:

FF 1
The Ending
If you think about it carefully, it's really sad and depressing.

FF2.
When Joseph and Minwu die.
These moments are really emotional, epsically for the time it was made, and how choppy the graphics and pixels were back then.

FF 4.
When Tellah dies
It's kind of unexpected unless you were paying attention to every note and moment of the game. Just felt so bad for all the party members.

FF5.
When Bartz speaks to his Father's grave
Oh so sad... felt really sorry for Bartz, and usually he's so happy and cheerful...

FF6.
Celes tries to commit suicide.
:sad3: No words to explain how sad and heart- ripping this moment is. Just... oh man.

FF7.
Nanaki's Dad cries
Alot of people mention Aeris, while this scene gets forgotten about. I like Aeris, but this moment is just so sad, and the music.... it has " You're going to cry now, like a baby " written all over it.

FF8.
Rinoa lost in space
It's a touching and sad moment, and it makes you also worried or concerned for the character. Also it marks a big change in Squall's personality. Squall goes from big dick, to big sweetheart.

FF9.
You're Not Alone
Maybe one of the most emotional moments in Final Fantasy history. It's also made of awesome too.

FF10.
Zanakand near the end
This may sound strange, because it's more of a level than a " moment ", but you have this sad feeling that you could loose one of your members, also there's no victory cheer, and the music just adds to the sadness. :sad3:

Though I'm a person who can hardly cry, I can recognize a sad scene when I see it, and I can be touched by those feelings it tries to transmit.

Gonna begin with:

FF6. After Celes wakes up in the World of Ruins,
after the very ill Cid dies
after she went for some fish... (Oh, well, I know that there was something I was supposed to do so
Cid couldn't die
, but my first time playing the game, it happened this way, so...)
Celes climbs up to a hill and tries to kill herself...
It really shocked me, because you don't get to see very often this kinds of situations inside a game's story. A character, whose grief goes deep enough to reach that extreme... When I first saw this scene, I felt my stomach sick and my wrists were trembling. After I saved the game and turned it off, I was almost going to cry happy tears,
cause Celes found the strength to keep on living just after she tried to end her own life.

FF7. It's gonna sound cliché, I know, but as many others, it was
Aerith's death
. You know, when you play a game like this at such a young age, and you see
one of the main characters die in the middle of it...
really messes up with your feelings towards the game. I was never very fond of Aerith to be honest, but I'd never deny how sad i felt
seeing her die for the first time
.

FF9. Well, basically all the ending sequence. From
Zidane's final talk with Kuja
, to
Vivi's farewell and Garnet's reunion with Zidane
. Teary ending. Game was incredible.

FF13. Towards the final battle, after an aparent victory against Orphan, he literally shatters the whole party's hope.
Fang accepts to become Ragnarok to save Vanille and goes against her friends, then they all seem to have turned into Cie'th. Seeing Fang's suffering and Vanille's decission, it was really bringing tears to my eyes, and then everyone is miraculously back to normal to save the girls. Lightning's epic speech was the icying of the cake.
Maybe FF13 wasn't the best FF game, I agree, but this was the first FF game that actually made me cry. Shame on me. :
P

I wouldn't say any of these moments made me cry, but they were all quite moving:

FFVIII: The bit in the ending with
Laguna at Raine's grave when he remembers proposing to her

FFIX: At Black Mage Village where
you first see the graveyard there and Vivi starts to realise about Black Mages having a limited lifespan. Plus it's very sad when the Black Mages there talk about the friends they've lost
. Also the ending
with Vivi's final letter before he dies

FFX: The ending
where Tidus passes through Yuna, and then leaves her, meeting Auron, Braska and Jecht

I cried when
I realised that Final Fantasy XIII wasn't going to get any better
if that counts...which I think it does.

Otherwise, the only even remotely emotional scene was when
Zack died at the end of Crisis Core, because Zack is the only character in the entire FFVII universe who actually has a character, and he's killed off because of it. It was quite well executed in the game, as well.

There are no such thing as sad FF scenes, only cheesy scenes. But I can't tell if they are sad in the older games since they are just pixels.

FFVII - I still have to hold back the tears when Red
finds his father.
The howl he does at the end combined with the music (one of the best tracks in the OST imo) is just too much  Actually just thinking about that scene gets me weepy.
I found
Aerith's death (why do we even bother with spoiler tags for this anymore, it's common knowledge lol)
very...forced. The music was beautiful and tragic but I found the dialogue clumsy. The part where Elmyra explains how she found Aerith was more emotional for me.
Oh yes, and any scene where "Interrupted by Fireworks" is playing. And the scene where
Tifa finds Cloud in Mideel.
Eat your hearts out, Cloud/Aerith fans.

FFIX -
Black Mage village...no. 256 saying to Vivi "You're very kind to use our words...but we already knows what it means to live and die." Then the other BM telling Zidane and Vivi how he put his friend in the ground, and wonders if he'll wake up again
As well as the scene
where the Black Waltz blows all the BMs off the cargo ship
. Again, the music chokes me up every time.

FFX - I can't watch the ending to that game without having tissues handy. Then X-2 came along and ruined the whole tragedy of it all
The scene where Yuna sends the spirits of Kilika is another emotional scene for me.

FFXIII - I know everyone hates Hope, but
the scene where he has to tie up his father
makes me get a lump in my throat :(

1. Edward seeing Anna dying. FF IV
2. Aerith's death. FF VII
3. Celes tries to commit suicide. FF VI
4. Tidus is reunited with Yuna. FF X-2
5. Snow proposes to Serah. FF XIII
6. Cecil turns to a Paladin. FF IV
7. Aria sacrifices herself to save Luneth. FF III (DS)
8. Scott dying and and says his love for Princess Hilda. FF II
9. When Galuf dies and says his last words to Krile. FF V
10. Rinoa and Squall Dance. FF VIII

Maybe predictably, FF8 and 9 both made me tear up with their endings. Just very emotional stuff that I loved.

Squall and Rinoa's dance was also pretty great and I found Garnet cutting her hair was a pretty poignant scene in itself.

But I think the whole, long space sequence in FF8 was my favorite. The first time I played the game it reduced me to tears and it's still one of the more touching FF moments for me. Squall carrying Rinoa for so long was also pretty touching; you have to figure he really loves her if he's willing to cross so much distance on foot, carrying her like that and talking to her as if she can listen. It just gushed me up.

The ending of X was just heartbreaking, in a good way. It's a shame it was ruined by the X-2 ending (I'd like to think the ending where she
accepts his death
is canonical).

Other than that the lake scene in X where Yuna briefly fantasies about giving up her pilgrimidge and living a happy life with Tidus, before dragging herself back to reality and realizing she can't do it because that's not the person she is.

Aerith's death was really sad :(

One scene I thought was pretty depressing was
Vossler's Death
from XII. It was really depressing for me, as that character saved my ass more than a few times :P The Gabranth scene has already been mentioned, on top of Pharos, as well as his conversation with Basch on the sky fortress Bahamut.

Crisis Core is just jam-packed with the stuff, like Zack, and Angeal. I thought the part where Zack runs into Genesis at Banora, and he reveals his wing and exclaims that they're monsters, was really well done too.

Sabin figuring out about the Edgar's coin toss was also nice.

And those are just some, that haven't been mentioned :P

Uhh, I actually cried when Zack died. You know when the flashabcks etc started with the broken MMW wheel. Oh well :P Atleast I'm man enough to be straight about it!

Oh and I found FFX ending to be quite sad too. :D (and the last letter from Vivi :( Aww, my viviboi!)

Theirs a quite a few actually, Ill never forget how I felt when I saw Bartandelous torturing Fang and punishing her repeatedly in front of everyone that almost brought me to tears actually the entire scene :x And I can still remember the scene with Yuna and Tidus at Lake Macalania and the sad music really helped :I Even Cloud when he was super sick and tifa had to take care of him .___. theirs just to many but those are the first things that pop in my head.
