Yes on both of those. I recommend it if you like movies with a lot of emphasis on atmosphere or mood, or post-apocalyptic movies. I would answer "Yes" to both of those personally.

Who else saw this? I thought it was quite good, I liked the atmosphere/mood of it all throughout. Yeah it was depressing and all but to be honest, I like depressing movies sometimes when I'm in the mood.

Don't really know if I'd want it... but I can see it happening since they are both set in the same world apparently. A big factor of it is how far they are set apart in the FFXIII universe's chronology. If they are set too far apart than a crossover would be extremley difficult to say the least...
