A Song of Fire and Ice!

It is very far away, but at least we have some nice stuff to hold us over. Like the roaster of actors/actresses. Hold on, I'll get some links and stuff. Edits in a minute! :D

EDIT:
There is a LOT of new stuff, so make sure you go to the second and third pages before you leave the site!

:hmm:

I'm glad season 2's coming soon. :ohshit:

I'll have something new to watch when I work out.

Update, sorta!

David Benioff interviewed at WGA Awards

On Sunday night, the Writer’s Guild of America held their annual awards ceremony and Game of Thrones was nominated for two awards, although, sadly, it did not win. However, it did give another opportunity for Thrones writers to talk about the series. Hollywood.TV caught up with writer/producer David Benioff and his wife Amanda Peet on the red carpet and were able to ask them some questions about season two.

Winter Is Coming: David again mentions the moving of material from the third book into this season. What does everyone think they will move up?

Breaking down the Game of Thrones Season One box set

The box set looks amazing. I will be getting it! And I'll watch it all day long. :33

The first episode of season two will be called “The North Remembers”, pretty cool!

May I join?

Tyrion is my favorite character in the show, for sure! Well, him and Arya are the two I care for really, I didn't feel like anything was very awesome about the others, I mean they aren't bad but they aren't exceptional either, no offense to anyone Q.Q

I really dislike Drogor (May have spelt that name wrong) and the little prince too, ugh what an annoying brat.

You know what this means, right? You must must watch the other episodes! Or at least read the books, I don't know which is better, I am in love with both. Maybe the show is best for a new comer...? :hmmm:

Welcome, welcome! :D

If you haven't been following or checking up on Winteriscoming.net, or watching HBO (in case you don't have it?), there is a new trailer, way longer than the other (new) ones released.

If you haven't watched the first season and don't want to spoil it for yourself, please don't watch. :)

Anyone stoked for Sunday night? I'm seriously bugged. Can't wait for the continuation of this show.

In case you haven't been up to date, many trailers have been released, most of which are character features that show some new things, a couple official Season 2 clips and lastly, some videos on locations and sets. I'll get the links and edit them in, if anyone is interested?

I would say "remember to watch everyone!" but I was told it doesn't matter, 'cause people with Neilson (believe that's how its spelt) boxes only count. I'm going to watch that same night though, just to be safe. :P

Has anyone here watched any of season two? If so, what did you think about it compared to season one? What were your favorite moments? Quotes? Characters?

For me, I very much enjoyed season two. However, (don't read if you haven't watched the show or read the books)
they changed a lot of stuff. When I first heard Meera and Jojen would not make an appearance, I raged. I am a huge fangirl of those two, as well as Bran, so it really disappointed me. But the good news is, they will make an appearance in season three, which is going to be split into two seasons (season three part 1 and season three part 2) because of the book's details. Another thing that disappointed me was Tyrion's batter scene. The book was better, and made him lose his nose and whatnot. Seeing that not happen to Tyrion really upset me, because that is a very big development for him.

But putting the small flaws aside, I enjoyed the season a lot, though not more than season one.

Some highlights for me were, of course, all the Tyrion scenes. They were spectacular and funny. And then Arya's scenes, most notably the one where she told Jaqen H'ghar to "hurry". xD

If you haven't already, I would highly suggest reading the site winteriscoming.net. They have all the updates, including who will be in season three, places they are shooting and more. :)

So I'm in the middle of the third book in this series and I can honestly say I cant wait for season 3! There are so many unbelievable twists I just did not see coming. Definitely recommend any fan of the show to read the books. They're full of even more remarkable characters. I love Hodor in the books so far. I wish he got a bigger role in the show. >.<

Very much looking forward to Season 3 of GoT. Currently readin the books, which I got quite awhile ago. Put it on hold ever since I started to focus on my exams. But with them soon over, I'll finally be able to lay back and experience the awesomeness that is ASoIaF.

And since we are saying each others favorites, Tywin Lannister is my favorite characters. He hasn't had time to shine the yet like in the books, but that time is coming soon.

When you (both) are finished with the book, assuming you aren't so far, do tell which part you liked the most. Book 3 was, or is, among the best of the books I say.
Particularly concerning the Red Wedding (cry cry), Tryion and Dany's roles in the story.

So of those who have read to the current part of the story in the books, when you saw Sunday's episode, what did you guys think? I'm happy with the slight changes they made, but I'm not sure what to think of Daario's apperance. I don't like that they changed his appearance, but at the same time I am pleased they did.

Something about this season (3) that seems to be disappointing me. I think its because im now reading the books (though only upto the last half of Blood and Gold) that I'm now seeing how much is being missed or the order of scenes is a little off. Last couple of episode have been amusing at best but im pretty psyched for the next episode as im guessing its going to revolve around The Red Wedding. I just hope they do it justice.

Favorite character is (obviously) Daenerys Targaryen but I think Jon Snow is going to be a dark horse for later seasons and his part to play in it all is only just really beginning.

I had the same feelings through the first few episodes. They were still good, of course, but something felt missing like you said. I think it is starting to pick up, though sadly near its season end! And I hope they do The Red Wedding justice as well, since
it will be the end of one of my most favorite characters in the series (this includes Greywind). I hope it shows the Wolfhead-on-body part too, as sick as it sounds.

Well, I'll be back after tonight! :)

*melisandre revives thread*

Anyone looking forward to season 7? I'm so obsessed with it lately I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a show or movie.
