Alternate Roads RP

Ariana growled, raising an arm to casta thunder spell at the sinscale, summoning power to her body and expelling it out.
The white gold bolt struck the sinscale in the face, and a maelstrom of pyreflies flew from its fading body, as, with a silent scream, it collapsed to the deck of the ship, immediately fading to nothingness.

OOC: Sorry for my absence, my internet kind of died and i couldn't get it back up and running for a while.

IC: After a couple of minutes lying unconscious Stephen finally came around with a jerk. he looked around, and saw that the sinspawn was dead and vesper was comming towards him. Stephen pointed up towards the serface, and the boat.

Stephen then began swimming back up towards the surface. after half a minute of swimming Stephen's head finally broke the skin of the water and launched water into the air. Stephen began floating and shook his head. Stephen then swam over to the boat and grabbed the ladder that was hung over the edge by one of the Auroch's.

When he reached the top of the ladder and finally got back in the boat he looked at the Auroch and smiled "Thanks Keepa" he announced as he ran to the front of the boat, he could see that Sin had been disconnected, but he could also see the large monster charging at Kilika at a very high pace "Oh no" Stephen announced, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop the behamoth of a monster.

Stephen gritted his teeth and felt his eyes filling with tear as he watched as Sin began his assault on Kilika. . . ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsRdl9qgFYY )

Sera gripped her weapon even tightly. To think she would have to go through the pain of having to recall the past memories of her parents' deaths in this manner- repetition of the exact same scenario over again.

Looking over to the devastation, tears forcefully made their ways to Sera's eyes. Turning away, she finally lost it and sobbed, trying to suppress the rising intent to lament loudly. The memories of the past were simply too heavy on her.

Vesper let out a cough of water as he broke the surface right next to the boat before swimming the last length to get on board Vesper was didn't notice the net off the side or whatever it was till he had climbed over the side of the boat. Vesper shook his head to quickly dry off his hair and walked calmly to the front of the boat to see everyone upset and Sera on the edge of tears, Vesper walked past and up to the edge of the boat to see Sin starting to leave the Harbor of Kilka leaving almost the entire town in wastes. Vespers fist clenched and he felt dizzy like before in the temple as memories came back. Vesper dropped to one knee and looked intently at the ground as they came back with a sharp pain in his head.

Vesper found himself looking on a scene of chaos similar to this one there was a man yelling at him he seemed to be in a panic before a sinspawn jumped on him killing him, Vesper turned and ran the other way as he could see other dead men in the same uniform as this one around him, hundreds of them while some still standing fought and tried to survive, it was chaos.

Vesper felt himself pulled back to reality suddenly with a tear rolling down his right check, Sin had done something like this before in the past to people he knew. But still Vesper didn't know enough. Vesper rose and walked back through the group laying a hand on Sera's shoulder and whispering as he did so.

"We are Spria's Shinning ray of hope, we have to be brave, the people are counting on us, draw your strength from them and you will find things easier", Vesper said this with as little sadness in his voice as he could.

Yuna saw the horror that befell Kilika. Many people helplessly died at the hands of Sin, those who didn't die, those who managed to find safety on the island proper, they would be forever haunted, and burdened with sorrow, which has been the case for Spira over a millenia.

"I will......defeat Sin.....I must defeat Sin." Yuna said, with a heavy voice. Everyone was daddened, burdened with the reality of what had happened.

FFX OST-Wandering Flame

As the SS Liki docked in what remained of the Port, Yuna ran down the steps and greeted a man and woman who was mourning at the dock, "I am the Summoner Yuna. I have come from the temple in Besaid." The woman exclaimed as if a burden was lifted on her, "Milady Summoner!" to which Yuna responded, "If there is no other summoner here, please allow me to perform the sending." The man said, "Thanks be to ye!", followed by the woman "Our loved ones....we've feared they've become fiends!" "Please, take me to them." Yuna finally said before the two lead them to where the people were to be laid to rest.

OOC: Due to the fact that we are in Kilika, I can now start RPing my original character.

IC: Marcus was looking out to the blue seas, safe in his hometown of Luca. He felt a wave of air, a breeze of death and despair coming from the seas, as if the screams of the people from the Southern islands just disappeared from sight.

Later that afternoon, he was told that Kilika Port was attacked by Sin, something that made him uneasy and sad. He was also told that Lady Yuna came to Kilika shortly thereafter. Marcus closed his eyes and said, "I'm glad that there won't be anymore casualties by fiends this time."

Stephen strode down off of the SS. liki and instantly glanced over his shoulder "look after the summoner, i have personal business to attend. Stephen ran off like sin was attacking again, he was making his way to one of the shoreside houses. he threw the door open, thinking to himself the whole time 'you can't have been in town' finally he after getting into the house he discovered it was empty.

Stephen ran out of the house and gritted his teeth "Where are you?" he said outloud "She is gone Stephen" a familiar voice came from near by "what?" Stephen asked as he turned around "Don't worry Guardian, Dona was not in Kilika when sin attacked, she had already moved on to Luca, heading for the next temple" Stephen smiled okay then" he replied, Stephen then headed to where Yuna would preform the sending, Sadly Stephen had seen sendings before and he didn't like it.

"We are Spria's Shinning ray of hope, we have to be brave, the people are counting on us, draw your strength from them and you will find things easier"

Vesper's words echoed ceaselessly in Sera's head as she watched Yuna, who was soon to perform the Sending. Tears welled up once again as she watched the carnage, memories of her past returning as she thought about it. Sadness was overwhelming, but even that itself was soon overcome by rage.

Rage against Sin. Rubbing off the tears, she continued watching over Yuna, scrutinizing the area for any potential threats to the Summoner. If Sin is to be defeated, Sera knew that Yuna would be their trump card, with the Aeons at her disposal. Sighing softly, she gripped her weapon tightly, though not drawing it.

[C'mon guys, can we please keep to the five lines minimum rule?]

The day was calm as Adelaida made her way along the wooden walkways that made up Kilika. Yesterday she had visited the forest, sustained a rather nasty sting from some bee-like fiend deep within, right upon her inner forearm. She stared at it now, a nasty lump, all swollen and red and growled softly. It was perhaps the first time some average fiend had managed to get the better of the monk woman.

Oh well, at least she had dealt with it, got the sting seen too and could now enjoy a stroll through Kilika under the softly warming sun.

The sound of rushing water caught her ears followed by a rather shrill scream of "SIN!!" before a massive wave washed over her, crashing her down against the wooden pathway. The wooden walkway snapped beneath her, debris thrown into the void of water as she turned and was slammed against the water surface again. Finding it hard to breathe under the tsunami that had suddenly hit Kilika in Sin's wake, Adelaida blacked out.

When she came around, sobbing tickled her hearing and opening a weary eye, Ade spotted several bodies laying around, their loved ones laid across them, weeping openly. A sudden rage coursed through her then, her eyes laid upon the true devastation of Sin. She had never witnessed an attack by Sin, had only watched the Summoner's come and go in Bevelle. Never before had she felt such a vehement desire to destroy something. Sajin rose from where she lay, brushing off a few worried looks with a dismissive hand. "I am fine." she said calmly, patting a small child on her head.

"I am the Summoner Yuna. I have come from the temple in Besaid."

"Milady Summoner!"

"If there is no other summoner here, please allow me to perform the sending."

"Thanks be to ye!"

"Our loved ones....we've feared they've become fiends!"

"Please, take me to them."

Adelaida turned then and laid eyes for the first time upon Summoner Yuna. Such a kind-hearted young woman she appeared to be. Did she have what to took to complete the pilgrimage? Her eyes flickered over the group with her. Her guardians no doubt. Never did Adelaida's eyes leave the young summoner, her arms folding as she fell into silence to watch the woman perform the sending of those who had died in the attack of Sin.

((Dunno what else to write. :| ))

Vesper stood and watched over the sending like a cold hearted angel of death, in situations like this it was always best to remain calm or so Vesper thought. To a person walking by Vesper appeared emotionless and cold during this time but the reality Vesper was honoring there deaths in his own way. Vesper didn't know why he did it but whenever he saw death and had the time Vesper recited something in his head for each persons death, it was a sort of prayer different to one of Yevon but was very long and required concentration, this was what he was doing not simply standing there so in the end by the time the sending finished and Vesper had finished his own Prayers he decided something, to think of himself as and Angel of Retribution rather than death.

With the crowd gathering Yuna went ahead towards the sea, usually people would swim in the water, but using her magic, Yuna was able to walk on water. When she stood on the center of the graves, she started to twirl her staff around and dance gracefully like a ballet dancer. As this was happening the sea water started rushing forward and started spouting water from under her, she was literally standing on a water spout. The spirits of the dead, pyreflies started to come out into the sky, heading for the Farplane. Though she was teary-eyed doing so, it did save everyone from a potential danger. After the sending, she said that she wants to rest. It was indeed so, as these days events probably would've wore on everyone.

Stephen watched over yuna as she danced, preforming the sending. stephen watched as Yuna came away from the sending, she was crying which was strange. yuna mentioned she had to rest and Stephen nodded as she walked past him. "Sleep well lady Yuna" he shouted after her. before heading for Kilika forest.

as stephen approached the forest he saw fiends inside, he drew Caladbolg and gritted his teeth, with a kind of smile. "Game on" he muttered to himself as he ran in, and cut down a dinonix in one blow and spun around only to get slammed to the floor by a thunder spell, stephen let out an argh as he hit the floor, but picked himself up.

The sending ended, with Yuna proceeding to rest. "Rest well, Lady Yuna." Sera said to her as she made her way back. Glancing over to Stephen, who at this time also shouted over to Yuna, she couldn't help noticing Stephen heading into the forest. Rubbing the tears off her eyes, she followed him, feeling a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

She lost him for a moment, stumbling over the roots of a tree she clumsily kicked into. Rubbing her bruised knees, she got up. Suddenly,a sound caught her attention, to Sera, this was unmistakable. It was Thunder. Stephen could use magic? An argh from Stephen cancelled that thought.

'He's in trouble!' Sera thought, picking herself up, she half-staggered, half-ran to Stephen, who was just picking himself up. Blasting another Thunder spell whoever he was fighting, she prayed it hit home. Her attention was fixated on her knees, which was bleeding. To think she could have hurt it so much from just a fall!

Frowning, she looked at her adversaries, fiends. "Stephen! You shouldn't fight alone!" She shouted out as she dashed beside him, hissing at the sting from her wound as she drew her weapon to stand in a battle pose beside him. 'To be hindered by such a wound, how can I stand beside Lady Yuna like this!?' Sera said to herself, mentally.

as Sera came to Stephen's aid he looked at her, noticing her knee, but noticing her choice of spell more "you should use Blizzard" he announced, hoping that Sera would accept his advice and use the fiends weakness. Stephen slashed down another Dinonix, "Sera, kill it" Stephen added as he spun around and kicked another Dinonix "they won't stop comming" stephen announced as he spun and looked around, seeing that no more fiends were attacking just the. *BZZZZZT* stephen hit the floor again, hard, he had taken another thunder spell "ouch" Stephen muttered as he began picking himself up.

Vesper couldn't help but yawn as he grabbed a wolf thing that was about to bit Stephan's foot before twisting its neck making it go limp and fade. "Watch your back the thunders aren't the only thing here that can hurt", Vesper said followed by another yawn as he drew his weapon and spun it round smartly over his head as a thunder came down on him, the spell hit the metal and was broken off and sent in every direction causing no harm. Vesper spotted the thunder elemental that was causing the main problem and ran straight at it before it could strike again. Vesper smacked it across the front hard causing its sections to break up and before it could reform he hit it again.

"What are you waiting for Sera, this won't kill it, use some magic I'm only stopping it from attacking", Vesper yelled over his shoulder as he struck a few more times making sure it couldn't attack back.

"What are you waiting for Sera, this won't kill it, use some magic I'm only stopping it from attacking" Vesper shouted over to Sera. Sera frowned, frantically casting the spell. Releasing a Blizzard spell, it hit home, crushing the Thunder Elemental.

Falling to her knees, Sera panted heavily. This constant usage of spell was starting to take it's toll on her. Having used the Thunder spell countlessly earlier has sapped much of her energy. Yet she mustered some more energy to bring her blade up in defence as a Dinonix charged at her. Spinning about, she successfully utilised the momentum to cut deeply into the Dinonix, killing it.

However, she was simply too weak. Toppling over, she collapsed. 'Damn. How can I be so weak!?' Sera chided herself mentally. 'At least..'

Summoning the last of her strength to call forth another Blizzard spell, she managed to put another Dinonix out of action before fainting.

as Stephen watched Ser hit the floor he sheathed the Caladbolg and ran over to her, he slid his arms underneath her and picked her up "Guys, lets go" he announced as he ran back towards Kilika as fast as he could.

Upon arrival in Kilika without another fight, Stephen went straight to the Inn and purchased a room for Sera and one for himself, he headed upstairs and laid Sera on the bed in her room, before leaving the key on her bedside locker and heading back out, and then to his own room, where he lay on the bed, and fell asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Yuna awoke the next day, put her garments on and walked out of the inn in the ruined village of Kilika, where she waited for her guardians to get up and go. The ruined village and the dead people reminded her that she needed to stop Sin soon, so that she could bring about the Calm. Yuna knew the risks, that by summoning the Final Aeon, she would in turn die. But to bring peace to the world, she will have to do it.

Marcus awoke in his room on a bright sunny day, walking out into the streets of Luca, he overheard from the people that the Grand Maester, Yo Mika, will be coming to Luca on behalf of the Blitzball tournament tomorrow. This put a slight smile to his face, as he would get to meet his uncle and friend, Maester Kinoc.

Vesper looked down at Yuna, since Vesper didn't have any money on him and everyone was asleep and he couldn't borrow any Vesper slept on the Inn roof and slept quiet well as the roof was made of a soft straw. After a few seconds of looking over the village Vesper dropped down landing next to Yuna with a heavy thump and stayed crouching next to her.

"Good morning my lady, I hope you slept well enough", Vesper said calmly before raising to his feat and stretching his arms over his head, Vesper got very stiff joints in the morning to his own disappointment.

Awaking with a jolt, Sera felt a sharp pain emanating from her knee, which she hurt yesterday. Rising from the bed slowly, she looked about the room. It was rather plain, with little furnitures to adorn the room, but it didn't matter much to Sera as she glanced over to the locker beside her bed. There was a key on it, which she concluded must be the room's key.

Picking it up, she then realized she was still in her armour. Hopping off the bed, she realized the ache it has caused her to experience throughout her body. 'Hope this is ephemeral...' She thought to herself as she ambled over to the mirror in her room. Taking out a comb she carried along with her, she began combing her hair. Eyeing herself in the mirror, she sighed softly. ''You're so weak, Sera!'' She couldn't help muttering to herself as the previous day's events filled her mind.

Nevertheless, she forced a weak smile. "You'll get stronger though. You'll get stronger." She added, as she kept the comb. Grinning widely at the mirror, she laughed at how silly she looked. Grabbing her weapon, she then left the room. A quick scan of the area revealed Yuna and Vesper to be already present there.

Yet it also brought the scene of destruction to mind, forcing the thoughts of her self-presumed weakness back into the picture. Sighing, she approached the two, her pace slow, but steady. Although her bruise shouldn't be that painful, she didn't want to push it too hard lest she goes overboard right before a battle- that wouldn't be good.

"Good Morning, Lady Yuna, Vesper." She greeted the two as soon as she came close, smiling gently at the same time.

"Good Morning Sera, hope you slept well, and I certainly hope your feeling better, you didn't look to well when we were heading back", Vesper said calmly still stretching his arms before there was a loud crack from his right elbow and he lowered them. "Ah much better", Vesper mumbled as the stiffness rapidly left his arm. Vesper thought it was a good idea not to mention the fact Sera was carried back as it might put her in a bad mood. So Vesper decided to act as if she walked back herself. "Those fiends gave us a work out didn't they", Vesper said with a smile as the inn keeper came out and looked him straight in the eye, he had a bad feeling suddenly.

"Free loader", the inn keeper yelled as she ran at Vesper surprising him.

"Hey, hey I slept on the roof", Vesper said as he did he got the inn keeper standing before him.

"The roof is still mine and you still got to pay", she responded back.

"Sorry to be rude but do either of you have any money cause I'm flat broke here", Vesper said rubbing the back of his head with a cheezy smile on his face.
