As Roy noticed the sun was setting and darkness began to quilt the land Roy began to make his way to the woods, having no money he had to make do with his own survival techniques. As he entered the wood with his right arm raised slightly he walked deep within. Hearing the occasional sound of monsters getting cut down, it appeared that more people were nearby. Before he could inspect this he was set upon by a monster, before it could bring him to the floor he clicked his fingers and placed the fire as a whip, lashing its underbelly with flames. As the beast fell to the floor it began to steam, and eventually melted into the ground, possibly a reaction to the flames.

As Roy stared at what was once the monster, was now an assortment of fur and pieces of other monsters it must have attacked. Roy drew his eyes away from the carcass and began to gather dried wood. As soon as both of his arms were filled with wood he placed them on the ground and lit them. After the flame had engulfed most of the wood Roy laid down and crossed his arms over his head, he looked to the stars for a few minutes before falling asleep.

Seras frowned. The thought of going after someone was not something she wanted. She sighed and turned to face him.

"You know that I can't, Master....I just..."

Even though she'd been a vampire for quite some time now, she still couldn't bring herself to drink blood....despite knowing that normal human food would only make her sick........she bit her lip nervously. Master Alucard would probably keep on her about it for the rest of the evening. She decided to try and change the subject in hopes that he'd forget.

"Master, what are we going to do about coffins?"

"So far I doubt we could get any coffins.....for now...so we shall rest as normal humans, to avoid drawing more attention than necessary...." Alucard opened the window preparing to leave. It was still late and the sky was still dark, one could say it was about midnight, but Alucard couldn't stay here doing nothing. "Stay and rest police girl....I'll return soon....and don't forget to feed..." Alucard said without even turning as he picked a small empty bottle and put it inside his pocket. Then, as the swift wind, the area around Alucard darkened, the shadows seemed as if they were absorbing him until nothing of him could be seen, Alucard had already left the room.

After reappearing from the shadows, Alucard found himself before the Inn Seres and he were staying. He stared at the window of Seres' room for a few moments, and then he turned around and gazed upon the forest from which he came. The vampire smirked as he fitted both of his white gloves on his hands. "Times to let some bodies hit the floor..." Alucard said shortly after beginning to walk towards the forest. The darkness enshrouding the woods covered him whole as he ventured deeper inside, imposing his presence among the creatures of the night. He could hear their hearts beating, the cursed blood coursing enhanced by the the seemingly eternal watch of the moon.

OOC: nice quotation of "Bodies" by Drowning Pool :P

Seras watched him leave and sighed, going to the window to stare out at the moon. It seemed rather beautiful tonight, and it calmed her worries somewhat.

"Master....be safe..."

She put the Harkonnen in the corner of the room and lied down on a bed. She was extremely tired, and growing weaker every second. She would try to hold out another night before feeding...

OOC: I am listening to it right now. Just to give my mind some imagination for a battle. My imagination and ideas are triggered by music, so depending on he type of music I am listening to, it will affect the way I post.

Now to make some battle, Alucard style. Check this.

Theme Song for this battle: "Bodies" Sinner-Drowning Pool

Alucard found himself in the darkest part of the forest, the large amount of vegetation surrounding him made the area barely visible, but for him it was the perfect hunting ground. Alucard knew his presence would draw the attentions of the creatures of this forest, he could even hear their steps flattening the dark soil, their eyes fixed on him. He smiled confidently, ready to unleash his judgment on them. Quickly, he tightened his fist, he could feel his gloves stretching slightly as he closed his fist. His eyes moved fast to all angles, concentrating on the sounds around him to foretell a possible attack to counter it. "Come on....time to play....you will all be dead in 10 seconds by my count..." Alucard stood quietly as he awaited, sensing the creatures' foul pestilence. "10....." Suddenly a ferocious shadowy beast jumped from the weeds and bushes around him, slobbering jaws wide opened, heart and soul fueled by their malicious derangement. The beast attempted to bite Alucard's next, but the quick vampire ducked in time to avoid the attack. As he saw the beast's belly passing above him, Alucard drew back his punge and then lunged as if it were a sword towards the beast's chest, his fist sprouting from the monster's back holding victoriously the monster's black heart.

Only mere seconds passed and another beast jumped down from the trees. "9..." Alucard grinned, his teeth shown with a threatening intention. Almost mere seconds before the beast could land on Alucard, the vampire used the beast he killed before as a weapon and hurled it towards the new menacing enemy. "8....and I am just warming up..." Both bodies crashed with a tremendous impact that even their bones could be heard being crushed. The both corpses were sent hurling violently until they eventually crashed against a tree. Then a humanoid like shadow creature sprouted from the ground. Alucard allowed the monster to land a blow which pushed him flying a few meters away, his back crashed flat against the soil. Quickly, he jumped back on his feet pushing himself up with his hands and landing a few feet behind his original landing spot. "7....6....."Alucard then sprinted towards the humanoid creature. Once in range, a ferocious battle began. Alucard dodged most attacks with ease, taunting an infuriating and enraged spirit. The humanoid shadow made a fatal error as it launched a fist to Alucard's face, missing by mere inches. Alucard ducked under the humanoid shadow's arm and pushed his fist like a spear through the monster. The shadow was banished almost instantly by the attack. And last, but not least, a golem like monster formed from elements taken from the environment, as well as the bodies of the creatures Alucard had killed before.

Alucard laughed madly, as he jumped backwards and he bent his knees to gain momentum as he landed, and then his legs pushed him forward. The golem lunged its enormous right talon towards Alucard's head, slightly passing by it's right cheek and missing by mere inches. Alucard drew his guns and quickly aimed to the golem's head, unloading his rounds on the monster's face. The stones and wood forming its head began to shatter as the beast was pushed backwards. The golem counter attacked as it could, but failing to catch Alucard. "5.....4....." Alucard kept unleashing a barrage of bullets and blows that included kicks on the beast's torso, and head, until wearing the monster down to the point of exhaustion. Like a mad tornado, Alucard back stepped eluding the monster's grasp by inches and then sprinted forward, jumped evading a downward crushing fist blow that landed on the earth. "3.....2...." While in mid air, Alucard was upside down shutting from above landing the last fatal blows on the beast's head. Soon Alucard landed behind the beast and aimed the gun in his right hand to the back of the golem's head. "1....time is up....die...." A bullet burst from within the gun like a spear piercing through the core of the golem's head and terminating the source of its power. The golem fell on its knees lifeless as its body crumbled and the elements forming its body retook their original form. "My your souls find eternal your just reward in hell."

Alucard had finished counting and hell was unleashed, the bodies of the fiends faded away as the last ounce of life within their carcasses banished like mist. By then, he had finished reloading his guns with a new pair of magazines, keeping the empty ones in the pockets under his coat, Alucard still had a few magazines left. The fight had ended, Alucard placed his guns back on their individual holsters underneath his trench coat as he walked through the forest with only the moon as witness of the battle that happened a few moments ago.

OOC: Fine, I will try to copy Ichigo's attitude, but I cannot promise that I will hit it dead on....

*Ichigo awoke to the sounds of monsters being slain in the forest* I guess that someone went out for an early training session.*

Maybe I can go see how he did, and maybe spar with him a little....

*Ichigo the put on his kimono, and grabbed his zanpakto. He headed down to the lobby and out the door. After that, he went into the forest battling his way through a few small beasts, and found Alucard standing next to a dead carcas. He approached Alucard... He thought to himself "I haven't really seen the extent of Alucard's power. This is going to be fun...."*

Hey Alucard, while were up do you want to spar a little? I want to see where you are at.... If you accept, trust me it isn't going to be as easy as that battle you had with that beast.....

Alucard turned his sight too Ichigo, looking over his right shoulder upon the man that had just issued a challenge. He smirked, he was somehow amused to find another man willing to challenge his powers, much more after being proven from time to time. Alucard soon fully turned around to meet face to face with Ichigo, his menacing eyes looking through the the vivid amber color of his eye-glasses. "Are you sure, you want to do this? I am no ordinary man as you may see..." Alucard replied firmly to Ichigo's request. "Such a beautiful night....don't you agree?" The vampire stated with a malicious grin as he prepared for the upcoming battle.

Zoro sat stock still for a while, looking at the Devil Fruit. Inside him, a turmoil was raging. He has come so far without using the powers of the Devil Fruits, and yet, to finally come face-to-face with the fruit that was the only one he had ever sought after...
"What do I do?" he asked plaintively to no-one, "Should I eat it, or not?"
Getting up, he placed the fruit into one of his small bags and put all his other belongings under the bed.
"I need to go train."
Walking out of the inn, he made his way over into the forest, not too far from Ichigo and Alucard, and began to look at the trees, totally ignoring the sounds coming from not far away.
"Not my problem." He murmured, before finding a tree that was perfect.
Walking over to it, he stared it up and down for a moment, before punching it. Hard.
He punched it again, harder, this time making a dent in the bark.
He kept this up, moving around the tree, until it looked like a woodsman had been at it, as his punches had actually begun to break through the tree.
"Can't stop," Zoro muttered, as he ducked and punched, moved and punched, "Need to get stronger!"

Kenshin awoke with a start, forgetting momentarily where he was. However, a sharp pain in his abdomen brought with it the memories of the past day. He rubbed his bandaged stomache thoughtfully, reflecting on the events only hours old. He had come to terms with the fact that he was certainly not in his home world. What took a little stronger mental digestion was the odd coincidence of all these other 'other-worldly' people becoming dimensionally lost simultaneously as he. 'No, not coincidence,' he thought to himself, 'that beast had mentioned design and purpose. Something sentient brought this one and the others here. Of that, there is no doubt.'

His meditations were interupted by the sound of his door being opened, allowing a thin beam of light to shine across the otherwise dark room.

"Hey red!" Gip said with a wide grin, "Whatcha lookin' so solemn for? Now that yer awake, ya need to eat! Come on, the misses cooked up some fish that I know yer gonna love, if ya got any idea of what good eatin's are!"

"Thank you for the offer, but this one would hate to impose upon your-"

*Grrroolll* Kenshin chuckled weakly, while Gip's grin grew, if even possible, wider.

"Ha ha! sounds like yer belly'd love to do some imposin'! Get dressed 'n come to the table!"

Gip closed the door, laughing as he walked away. Kenshin smiled as he rose slowly from his bed and began to dress.

---------------

"Oro! It has been quite a while since this one has eaten something so tasty!" Kenshin said after his first mouthful.

"What, this Cowlu gal doesn't know how to cook good food?" Gip asked, consequentially receiving a slap from his wife.

"Don't speak so brashly of our young guest's friends," the plump, happy lady scolded.

"No, it is alright," Kenshin said hurriedly, "he is actually correct. Kaoru-dono can make the most basic of foods taste like mud." Immeadiately after he said this, a very sore spot on the back of his head which had far too much aquaintance with Kaoru's shinai began to throb.

"Ha!" Gip exclaimed, slamming his tankard on the table, "sounds to me like you need a new woman, uh..."

"Kenshin," he filled in as Gip's wife landed another smack on the back of Gip's head. "This one's name is Himura Kenshin, a rurouni."

"A loony?" Gip asked, rubbing the back of his head.

"No, rurouni, a wandering samurai," Kenshin answered

"Sam? I thought your name was Ken?"

"No, Ken-SHIN."

"Too hard. I'm callin' ya Ken."

"Do you know someone by the name of Gourry?"

"Who?"

"Nevermind," Kenshin sighed. In his mind, he pictured an ultimate knucklehead three-for-all between Gip, Gourry, and Sanosuke. The thought caused him to shudder. 'If two were to meet, disaster. If all three were to meet, apocolypse.'

Finishing his dinner, Kenshin got up and bowed. "Many thanks for the meal. This one would now retire to a bed."

"Sure, same one you were just in. Until mornin', then!" Gip said, grinning from ear to ear.

Kenshin bowed again and walked to his room. Reachin his bed, he collapsed onto it and immeadiately fell asleep.

As time went, and various sounds and explosions where heard.

Gourry slept through.
Dreaming of various foods, and desserts.

OOC: sorry, short post.
I'm back, and Id like a reply to the "splitting up" idea I mentioned.

As Roy was approaching sleep he bolted his eyes open as he heard a voice nearby... He recognised it as the one who used black magic. He quickly came up with a plan, considering his options in this place he would have to adapt somewhat. He decided that in order to survive here he would require strong allies, while dealing with the weaker troubles when the time came... Perhaps this black magic user and his servant could be potential allies. Roy stood up and put out his fire with a few stomps of his right foot. He then wiped the wood chippings from his foot against the grass and then walked towards where he guessed that the man was. As he walked through the ever darkening wood he soon saw the familiar attire of the man and walked towards him. Still retaining his serious composure he began to speak, addressing the man while ignoring the other. "Excuse me... I'd like to speak to you... Alone". After roy said this he began to turn away and walk towards some bushes that seemed to provide a cover, he stood beside them and extended his hand to 'call' the man towards him.

Alucard heard the man with the fiery soul he had meet before calling him to speak in private. Not knowing what business this man could have, Alucard decided that maybe it was worth listening to what he had to say. Before leaving, Alucard turned to see Ichigo, who was awaiting for Alucard's answer concerning their little battle. "I am afraid that we will have to leave it for another night." Alucard said addressing to Ichigo, as he turned away from him and walked in the direction the other man went.

The morning light played across Kenshin's face, waking him. He quickly got out of bed and got dressed, ignoring the minute twinges of pain that served as a souviner from the previous day's battle. At that moment, the door flew open as Gip's smiling face found itself inches from Kenshin's.

"So, ya gonna stick 'round for breakfast?" he asked, the smell of last night's meal still on his breath.

"Thank you very much for your hospitality," Kenshin replied with a bow, "but this one can dally no longer. Last night was full of thoughts and meditations, and this one believes the time to act has come."

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that," Gip said without the slightest hint of sorrow in his face, "just be sure to visit sometime, Ken."

Bowing again, Kenshin left the house and made his way to the inn to find Gourry. He believed that the two of them would make more headway as a smaller unit than as members of a cumbersome party. Also, Gourry was the one Kenshin trusted the most of the group.

"Excuse this one," he said to the receptionist upon arriving, "a friend is staying here, a blonde swordsman with a bit of a dull look to him."

"Ah, yes," the clerk replied with a smile, "That room there."

Kenshin thanked her and went into the indicated room. Sure enough, there was Gourry, with about as much mental activity as lint. 'Not much different from when he is awake,' he thought. "Hey! Gourry! Wake up!" Kenshin shouted in vain as he shook the sleeping body. Nonplussed, he drew his sakabato. "This one apologizes," he breathed as he raised his sword. From outside the room, one could hear the sound of two rather hard objects becoming violently aquainted with one another.

Gourry jolted up, as he was rubbing his head, looking around in a daze "Is it morning already?"
he was obviously oblivious of the fact that he had received a blow to the head, one that would cripple lesser men.

"Why am I on the floor?" he stated as his vision focused.
He noted the red haired one. Pointing towards him with a rather funky sword.
"Umm... I think your sword is the wrong way" he stated as he looked confused at the red head.

Kenshin stared in disbelief at the blonde. There was simply a point of stupidity and hard-headedness that people shouldn't be able to reach. Requiring a blow to the head to wake up and not noticing it happened was, in his opinion, as beyond that point as infinity is beyond negative infinity. However, it was one of the things he was beginning to like about the swordsman; namely he was simply too stupid to be tempted by evil.

Kenshin sighed, smiled warmly, and held out his empty left hand to help Gourry to his feet. "This is, a special sword," he replied. "The blade and the dull side have been reversed. This way, this one can protect those in sight without killing anyone."

Gourry accepted the hand, and gut up from the floor.

Gourry started to think of the explanation for the sword.
he thought hard, and long.
One could see various images going past his eyes.

"hmm. so, you fight with a broken sword, to protect someone? Will not that be hard, since it is backwards?"
Obviously, Gourry did not understand.
After all, from his point of view, the sword was clearly screwed. perhaps made wrong.

"Also, you have weird clothes, where are you from?"
Gourry was not the smartest pf persons, but he was often an excellent judge of character, and even thought this redhead had a broken sword, he was a nice guy.

Zoro came inside, knuckles bleeding and looked around the entrance of the hotel.
It seemed oddly empty, and that was worrying him, but he didn't care.
Walking to his room, he picked up his swords and buckled them to his belt, putting the Devil Fruit into his small rucksack. The weird gems he also put away, and then wandered outside, looking for the other outsiders who he had met the previous day.
He only had a faint whiff of some foul odour to warn him, but he instinctively ducked as a thin blade whistled out at the level he had been at.
Legs flashing out, Zoro tripped the surprised attacker and he dodged around, coming down over the man, Wadou coming out of its sheath and laying against the man's neck.
It was the man who had sold him the room the last night.
"What," Zoro growled, "are you doing?"
"L-L-Lord G-Ganon wants your head," the man stuttered, obviously terrified, "and s-so-o we w-e-ere after it..."
Zoro sighed and headbutted the man, before standing back up and walking out of the hotel.
He looked around the small little town and sighed again.
This place was a lot more boring than he had first thought.

"Rest easy knowing that the sword is the way this one likes it. As for this one's origin, suffice to say far away, like yours, no doubt." Kenshin crossed the door and turned to Gourry. "This one has been thinking about the best way to confront the problem at hand, and has concluded that information should be priority one. To that end, a small group consisting of you and this one would attract far less attention than a cumbersome caravan. Better yet, if we could secure clothes of this world, we would blend even more."

Gourry tilted his head, wondering what funky style the read head used, since he used a broken sword.

Gourry scratched his head, why did his head have a tender spot?

He ignored it, as he followed the read head.
"Umm, who are you?, and why do you say 'this one' all the time. Which one do you mean?"

"'This one' is used in self reference. It is simply the way this one talks." Kenshin continued out the inn and began looking for a clothing store.

"As stated before, this one's name is Himura Kenshin, a wandering swordsman with no destination. Or at least, this one had no destination." Kenshin smiled as he thought about meeting Kaoru, Yahiko, and the others, and about the first place he had called home in eleven years, the Kamiya Dojo.

He spotted a likely looking building and headed in its direction. "How about you, Gourry?" Kenshin asked with a smile. "Each swordsman has a reason for raising his blade. For whom or for what do you fight?"

"himola... kenchu...."Gourry tried desperately to pronounce his name, but to no avail.
"Ken. I will call you Ken from now on" he smiled with a dumb look.

"Each swordsman has a reason for raising his blade. For whom or for what do you fight?" Kenshin asked.

"Me?.. Hmm.. I guess to protect my friends.." he smiled ".. and Lina" he said in a low tine, as he was looking at the ground.

"But" he suddenly started "I have to find out how to get to them first" he stated wit the same smile
