Are you pre-ordering?

I have pre-ordered my copy on PLAY.com already, want to get it through my door on the day of release :D

I'm really excited about getting to play this game, it looks like it's gonna be amazing!
 
I doubt im going to preorder my copy i think i'll just skip school in the morning, stroll into my Local GAME/Gamestation and pick one up
i only preorder if there is some sort of bonus with it, and i dont anywere in the UK is doing one for FFXIII:(.
 
I don't think I will. I don't have school on the ninth, so I'm probably just going to go to some department store at midnight and pick it up then. But if there's some bonus with preordering, then I definitely will preorder.
 
And to answer my own question, I just pre-ordered it yesterday xD I didn't see much point, and I kind of still don't, but I just want to be sure I can get a copy. It was only $5 to pre-order at GameStop, so I just figured why not.

Hopefully I can help myself from spending the reserved money on Uncharted 2. I need to save it :gasp:

To update on my last few posts on this thread, I don't think it's worth preordering. I only considered it because I've never preordered before.

We're not in Japan. Japan is the one place where preordering may be a necessity to be able to have a copy of the game on day one. I can easily walk into a game store or simply a supermarket and pick up a copy from there.

FFXIII isn't as anticipated in the west and with two versions of the game, I highly doubt it will be as sold out as Modern Warfare 2 for example.

I suppose I can just order from the internet if I don't feel like going out :ryan:
 
I reckon there'll be a midnight release for some reason, though I think that depends entirely on the demand for the game. All being said, Tesco is open after midnight anyway so I'll just go down then and get it if need be. I cba preordering though D:
 
Probably not, no. I've never pre-ordered a game and I don't think I'll be starting anytime soon.

Besides, I'm living in a flat at uni and will probably have that to contend with first before I can even get on with FFXIII. I still need to get a PS3, though I think I'll be getting one within the next few weeks. Like some other people, I think I'll just pop into town sometime and buy it if and when I have the money.
 
I haven't pre-ordered it yet, but I almost always pre-order games for which my local game stores offer this option. However this time I have a feeling most of you are right, it probably won't be the most popular game ever released (unlike Modern Warfare 2 and Gears of War for example), and of course being released on 2 platforms should spread out the numbers.
However I know the staff in my local stores and if they say they are getting a lot of interest then I will pre-order from one of them, or I'll pre-order from Play.com a couple of weeks before to ensure I get it on release day =)

Off topic, I've seen the trailers for this and played a lot of Final Fantasy recently so I'm hoping to get this on release day, either from a shop or internet based place.
 


EB Games Australia has announced that they're giving you a FFXIII calander if you pre-order... not too exciting but I'm gonna do it just to get it :P

Anyone know if they're going to release a SE PS3 like the lightning edition for other markets like the EU market? I still haven't got a PS3 but currently have enough money to buy it and am on holidays but don't wanna buy one and then get told they've brought out a SE for FFXIII:gonk:
 
GameCrazy told me if i preoder, i get the sound track, of course i then preordered, but yeah, i have it preordered
 
I preordered through GAME the other day, Apparently FFXIV is coming out at the same time...ahem WIN!
so I ended up preordering both, Oh man im going to be broke in March.
 
I pre-ordered it also, mainly as a way to not lose the money for the game for something else. I dropped 50 bucks on hold at gamestop for it.

BTW, I like things to be fair, so I was wondering....can we please change the description for the Final Fantasy XIII forum? Its not just for the PS3....just sayin

Slightly off topic here but Final Fantasy XIV won't be coming out the same time as Final Fantasy XIII. At the earliest I'd say back end of 2010 at some point, I don't even think the beta has begun on FFXIV yet but they'll most likely end up going through several beta stages then possible an open beta. Don't get your hopes up of getting FFXIV in March D:
 
No. I hardly ever pre-order things.

I'll be on a 3 week holiday then so I'll have loads of time to play it but I'm not sure what my UNI situation will be. I might need to be revising and obviously FF13 is going to be a huge distraction when trying to do that!

I will not be pre-ordering FFXIII... not for xbox 360, and not for PS3. Wanna guess why? I don't own the consoles to play it on xD

If I did though, I would've pre-ordered a while ago. My local game store has had the pre-order option for months now. They've got the option for Agito, even :ffs: I definitely would've pre-ordered if I was getting it, yeah.
 
Considering I saw double points offer in GAME yesterday, I may actually change my mind and pre-order FFXIII after all.
 
I'm still on the fence, i'm waiting to see if anything cool comes with pre-ordering it. If not i'll wait a week or so to get it, i'm in no hurry to start playing it when it comes out.
 
yeah i pre-ordered. I pre-ordered the collector's edition guide from game stop too, but then saw it on amazon for $15 cheaper. Don't pre-order either guide from game stop. Amazon is much cheaper for both!
