Balamb Garden

Evan heard and understood what enigma was saying he then looked abck over the city, well what was left of it, he then looked back at Enigma.

Evan grabbed a piece of paper from his bag and wrote down a phone number, he then handed the paper to Enigma "call me if anything comes up and you need my help" Evan then turned and looked back towards Balamb. "I'm heading back to balamb" Evan picked up his bag and walked down the track towards Balamb, it was going to be a couple of days walk all the way back to balamb but he was not worried as he had the protection of Odin and Diablo.

he had been walking for about an hour and a half when he stumbled across a draw point "wow, whats this doing out here?" he walked over to it and held his hand out, there was a flash of light that passed into his hand and then he felt the power flowing through his body 'hey that was like 10 water spells' he smiled and continued his LONG walk down the the bridge.

As everyone talked about where to go, Arthvader has made his decisions on where he'll be heading. He turned on his communicator and said his message to the group. "Hey, this is Arthvader speaking. I've decided that I'll be heading towards Esthar. I'll be seeing you guys soon." After saying his message, he prepared equipment and began heading towards Esthar.

On the road to timber

Much to Enigma's surprise, Evan and Arthvader had just announced their plans to go in completely different directions. He had to respect their decisions, even if they were a bit wrong in his opinion.

"Dammit, that's two less people."

Worryingly, Evan had chosen to return to Balamb Garden where he would undoubtedly face the wrath of Headmaster Cid. Evan wouldn't care, they were hardly the best of friends. Arthvader's decision to travel to Esthar was unjustified. He gave no reason for his choice, no details whatsoever.

The more he thought about it, the less of an issue it became. They were much less likely to be found if they were in seperate groups. Maybe splitting up was the best choice after all. Only time would tell.

There was a cool breeze blowing in Enigma's face, almost erasing the problems in his mind. The time to move was now.

"Come on, let's go."

Enigma holstered his Sai and began his long walk down the train tracks, accompanied by Al and Amelia. They were definately going to be handy to have around.

"I just hope whoever destroyed Fisherman's Horizon hasn't planned for us to do this...Otherwise we're in serious trouble..."

Follwiingg Evaannn ^^

Al readied himself. His sowrd was where it should me. His energy was nearing normal.
All was well.

"Come on, let's go."Enigma stated
"ok" Al reaplied as he started walking after Enigma.

Suddenty, Enigma stated "I just hope whoever destroyed Fisherman's Horizon hasn't planned for us to do this...Otherwise we're in serious trouble..."
Al thought of it for a second.

"Well. if htey use distance weapons, or blow up the tracks. were fucked" Al informed.

Indeed, if they where to use explosives, or missiles, or somthing like that.
they mght be doomed

On route to Balamb town
Evan was enjoying his long walk down the train tracks when he heard a strange rumbling noise, he stopped walking and looked around...there it was the same rumbling noise, he looked into the sky but it was empty and then the noise struck again but this time there was an intense pain in his stomach. he fell to his knees and grabbed his stomach "I'M SOOOO HUNGRY" he shouted as he crawled over to the side of the bridge.

Looking down on the water below he could see Fish swimming around "hey they look tasty" he thought to himself he pulled his newly acquired gun from it's holster and shot one of the fish, it floated to the surface and stayed there Evan reached down and due to the hight of the bridge he couldn't reach it "Fuck!" he muttered to himself. he rolled over and looked to the sky "I miss leviathan" he though to himself then he sat up "thats it!!!" he announced as he summoned Diablo who arrived on demand.
Diablo: "you summoned"
Evan: "go and get me that fish"
Diablo: "???? (looking blankly)"
Evan: "please"
Diablo looked over the side of the bridge and then jumped in, five minutes later he came out of the water carrying a dead Shark by the tail, which he dropped at Evan's feet
Diablo: "Eat that"
Evan: "it aint fish but who cares...theres so much of it"
Evan cast a fire spell on the dead shark to cook it and then he began eating it he was eating like an animal as it was his first cooked mean in days.

[[OoC: Mmm, thanks for covering Beccalyn for me, Damo. ;D]]

Maybe that man at the station deserved it, maybe he did not. Either way, the ends would justify the means.

Occasionally Beccalyn floored the acceleration pedal, rushing at the vehicle's top speed as she raced down the train tracks towards Fisherman Horizon. There, she hope to find her fellow SeeD.

She gripped the steering wheel angrily, reminded of the reason why she was held back. If it weren't for that, she would have been with them by now. She cursed herself for being so weak, unaware of how susceptible she was in the end.

It won't happen again, she promised herself.

"Hang on, guys. I'm on my way." The car jolted forward as she suddenly increased her speed. She still had miles to cover.

He didn't want to think about what could potentially be waiting for them in Timber, but he knew he had to.
The only thing Enigma took piece of mind from was the fact that Galbadia would not use such weaponry to dispose of a few SeeD members; it wasn't their style.

The tracks continued into the distance and took Enigma's morale with it. The long walk allowed him time to think.

The sorceress they encountered within Balamb Garden would not have just given up on her task, and going by the note it was apparently not her who caused such destruction to Fishermans Horizon.
He knew full well that she had the power to potentially wipe out Balamb Garden. However, there was a reason why the SeeD's were regarded as one of the most elite forces in the world.
Each member involved in the mission was worthy of the SeeD title, and there was no way they were going to go down without a fight.

Evan was happily pondering what he was going to do upon his arrival at Balamb when he heard a strange noise he stopped and looked straight to his stomach "I've just eaten so it can't be that" when he looked up he saw a glisten on the horizon "is that a train??" he asked himself "i sure hope not there isn't anywhere for me to go" he decided that he had to run and pray that up the line there was somewhere for him to stand out of the way. He began sprinting up the track as the glisten got closer he ran faster, when he saw that it was only a car he leaps off the edge of the bridge and held onto the side so he didn't fall to his watery grave. as the car rocketed past he noticed it was Beccalyn driving as he pulled himself up and sat on the side of the bridge he looked to the sky and thought "could my day get any worse" then he noticed a black cloud forming over the bridge, and with a a large crack of lightning it began to rain. his head sank into his hands and he thought to himself "i just had to ask...didn't I"

As everyone began to leave the battlefield where the once vicious Elnoyle attacked them Damon searched around in hopes of finding some clue to the appearance of these advanced monsters. As he looked inside the debris of houses that once stood he noticed a strange smell, following it he found the near death body of a Grendel, still in it's powered up form. Seeing a good chance to get some kind of DNA sample he looked for an open wound, finding one on it's underbelly he ripped a small piece of his shirt and after 20 seconds of fumbling with it he turned it into a makeshift bag. Filling it with 15 drops of the Grendel's blood he then wondered what the best place would be to analyse it would be. Esthar, there was no doubt about it. After a short 10 minute break he readied himself for a long trip and began to make his way to the abandoned railway.

Not all went as planned however when he spotted the familiar dark figure of Diablos, wondering what he was doing he noticed it readying it's familiar dark matter ball, knowing what was coming he quickly started to run as fast as his body would allow, driven by the fear of annihilation he would not alllow fatigue to stop him. He was too late however to reach the train station, Diablos unleashed his attack destroying the present area of FH he was inside. Quickly grabbing a few planks of wood from the floor he started holding them together, awaiting the inevitable shockwave. As his body was forcefully flung into the ocean he noticed no wet feeling, instead the hard surface of stone, it seemed he had been hurled onto the train tracks leading to Esther. Discarding the wood he looked around, he could not see any of his allies nearby so he began walking to Esther, but first he checked for his communicator. Luckily it seemed to have not been lost in the blast. Taking it from its holder he placed it to his mouth and switched it to 'all stations'

"Alright everyone, I don't know where you all are but I am heading for Esther, I have a sample of blood from one of the evolved monsters, I'm going to see if I can find anything out about them. You can follow if need be but I am not changing my mind, I'll keep my communicator with me in case you want to let me know about anything your end."

Ending his transmission Damon faced the direction of Esther, breathed deeply and began to walk in the direction of Esther, hoping to get the answers he sought.

Evan stood up from his depressed state on the bridge and continued walking ge was walking looking into the horizon when it came into site Evan's eyes light up with happiness "thats it" he began to run towards what he was staring at "Finally i can see balamb" he stopped running and didn't bother walking he just stopped.
"WTF am i doing??" he though to himself "why run when i can fly" he Summoned Diablo and watched as he made his entrance
Diablo: "you summoned me?"
Evan: "yea could you fly me to that little town at the end of the road"
Diablo looked at the town then back at Evan, he then lifted Evan onto his back and carried him to Balamb dropping him just outside a restaurant
"thank you, your dismissed" Diablo turned into his regular thousand bats and flew off, although this exit scared a teenage tourist who was only in Balamb because the trains no longer work, Evan laughed at her as he walked into the shop "Obviously you have never seen a GF like Diablo" he muttered as he walked past her, she did not reply as she was still scared that Evan was going to rob the restaurant.
Evan walked into the restaurant and sat down he grabbed a menu and started looking over what he should Order he then put the menu down and informed a waiter he was ready to Order
Waiter: "yes sir, what would you like?"
Evan: "bring me 2 14ounce Steaks and don't hold on the chips"
Waiter: "Will someone be joining you sir?"
Evan: "no I'm just damn hungry"
Waiter: "yes sir, i shall bring your meals when they are ready"
Evan: "cool"
the waiter walked into the Kitchen and Evan looked around the room, he felt like everyone was staring at him, because they were. Evan noticed that he was sat in a highly classy restaurant in which everyone was in suits, and there he was in a shredded Seed uniform, he scratched the back of his head and smiled "I just got back from a mission" he announced loudly and clearly so everyone heard him.

Finally the small group was nearing Timber and their seemingly endless trek could end. It was about 10 minutes further down the track and it was now pure adrenaline that was allowing the SeeD's to walk.

"Phew, finally we're here."

The relief shone through on every one's face, thankfully they could rest.
The SeeD's remained close and relatively quiet, attention was the last thing they needed.
Despite keeping themselves to themselves, they were still receiving curious looks; the residents knew the group of people heading towards them were not your everyday people.

"HEY!"

The SeeD's froze. The shout had came from behind them. Slowly and cautiously they turned.

"...You dropped this, buddy."

The kind stranger patted Enigma on the back and strolled away. He had handed Enigma a scrappy piece of paper. He sighed in relief as he stuffed the paper in his pocket.
The group exchanged looks with each other and after a split second of discomfort, they all chuckled at their paranoia.

"Seems like there's an inn over by that bar. Let's check it out, yeah? I think I might need a drink first...Who's joining me?"

Evan began eating his meal rather quickly, the only way he could have ate it faster was with a shovel, instead of a knife and fork he was eating with two forks, he stabbed a fork into the table and squirted a load of steak sauce on his meal, he then left the fork were it was and grabbed a steak knife and began cutting up his meal he was still wolfing it down like it was going to be stolen from him and he stopped briefly for a drink, after he finished he stood up, Paid and left.

Walking down the street to were his foster parents lived he knocked on the door, and an elderly lady answered
Lady: "Evan, please come in"
Evan: "thank you Annette"
Annette: "it's fine" the old lady walked into the living room "your room is still how it was, please make yourself at home"
Evan: "thank you"
Annette: "I'm just glad your safe"
Evan: "listen Annette about me leaving I..."
Annette: "all that matters is your safe" Annette interupted

Arriving in Timber

As soon as they arrived, As the stranger stopped them. Al could not do much, but put his hand on his sword, and readying for an attack.

Luckily, an attack was not happening right now.

"Seems like there's an inn over by that bar. Let's check it out, yeah? I think I might need a drink first...Who's joining me?"

This was music In Al's ears.
A drink. All they had seen forever was salt water. Finally something that wouldn't end you to drink.

"I am most deffinatly in" Al assured as he followed Enigma towards the Inn.

Amelia didn't know where she was, or when she dozed off to sleep. She was surrounded by a curtain, which she recognized immedietly.
I'm in the Infirmary! Amelia thought, nearly bursting the words out of her mouth.
She took off the bed sheets and laid her feet onto the floor. She was stil wearing her SeeD clothes from the incident in FH. Her weapons laid beside the bed, untouched and unscarred. The were clean and pure, as if they were already made.
Amelia stood up, looking around and rubbing her eyes. Why did she turn up in Balamb Garden? Why didn't she go back to Timber with the group?
These questions raced through Amelia's mind. She needed to go to Timber. It was the closet way to get to Dollet, where Marko was waiting for her. Amelia sank back into her bed, and laid herself down, closing her eyes, and fell into a sleep.

The Inn...in Timber

The bar was conveniently located at the base of the inn, so it had to be passed in order to get to the room. Clever.
Enigma didn't care, and usually he would never think about drinking on a mission, but he made an exception just this once.

"Bartender, 2 beers please."

He grabbed hold of the ice cold bottle, dripping with condensation, and slid the other over in Al'umars direction. They deserved this drink and there was no way they were going to be interrupted..

"Hey are you two guys SeeD's? We had a couple of Galbadian's in here earlier that gave us a picture of you...and a few others actually."

Maybe they weren't destined to enjoy their frosty beer, or maybe they were just having a very bad day; problems were arising already.

"Sorry buddy, I think you've got the wrong guys, we're Galbadians ourselves"

He would never believe that, would he? Al'umar could be seen to be gripping his sword discretely, Enigma knew he had back-up.

"Oh! My mistake, you all the damn same to me! Why are you still in a little place like this? Rest of them headed East down the tracks."

Enigma and Al swung round and looked at each other. East was Fisherman's Horizon...Were they there with the Galbadians?
They were understandably concerned at these comments and now on high alert..It was important Enigma kept up the persona of a Galbadian Soldier.

"Shit, man we must have missed briefing again! Did they say anything else?"

Enigma waited in anticipation. This bartender was stupid as hell and had no clue the duo were blatantly lying.

"Whoa you guys are in for it! They didn't say where exactly, but one of the older generals kept complaining about how he hates their freaky uniforms...I hated that guy, didn't tip me so I spat in his beer."

Freaky uniforms, Fisherman's Horizon? Fisherman's Horizon doesn't have any kind of force...It suddenly dawned on Enigma. East of the tracks, Esthar. Past Fisherman's Horizon, they had their own army. Shit!
Enigma subtly turned to face Al:

"Dude, they're in Esthar, I'm sure of it. We've gotta warn Damon and Arth...We're a hell of a distance from them now; what do you think?"

Al turned a round.
facing away from the bartender. Which was about as smart as a common door handle.
He turned away, so that Enigma would hear him, but the bartender should not.

"Well. if they have their phones, or comm units, we should be able to contact them." Al started. "but if we cant contact them. We might have to borrow a vehicle and get there."

They did not have much choice, there where no way in hell they would get to FH in time.
Not unless they stole a car, or a train, and rushed there.

Al turned back.
and took a huge sip of the beer.
He would be damned if he held it, and didn't get to drink from it. So he used the chance he had.

OCC: Since I have been gone for 2 months or so, I wonder where I should start off.
---------------------------
Amelia opened her eyes, and looked up at the ceiling. It was the same picture like before when she was injured in a fight against a Gnat when she was only 8.
She lifted her back up, wondering what to do to get to Timber in order to meet the others. Amelia also needed to see Uncle Ian, who worked as a local item seller in Timber. Uncle Ian was a former Ex-SeeD when he was young, but he left to join his true ambition: Businessman.
Amelia got off the bed, and stood up, rubbing her eyes. She looked round for her weapons, which were beside her, untouched.
Amelia picked both her Cancer and Gemini and patched them to their rightful place on Amelia's body.
Amelia walked towards the Infirmary door, and opened it quietly, the door creaking slightly. No human or monster sound came from out the door, so it seemed to Amelia that there was no danger.
Amelia fully opened the door, shocked to see where she was. She wasn't in the Balamb Infirmary. She was in the small train Infirmary, which was to be modeled exactly like Balamb's Infirmary, only smaller in size.
Amelia looked out the train window in front of her, and the scene she saw was recognized immedietly.
"Timber!" Amelia nearly shouted in astonishment.
Amelia raced through the hallway, and found the train exit. She slid the train exit door right open, and raced towards her Uncle Ian's item shop, which was just in the centre of Timber.
People watched her race, disgusted about her manners, pushing people about, not saying sorry.
She was nearly to the shop until she tripped, crashing down as people looked at her, shocked.
"Shit," muttered Amelia, and she gathered her strength to ignore the people looking at her. She stood up, and said, "I'm okay!" and ran again to the item shop, which was an approximate estimate of 20 metres away.
When she got there, she barged right into the door, denting it. A middle-aged man looked up, quite shocked to see someone catching her breath in his own shop.
"Uncle Ian?" Amelia asked, still catching her breath.
Ian looked at Amelia, and a smile broke through his face. He left behind his desk and went to Amelia with open arms.
"Amia*!" his voice boomed slightly, as Amelia raced into Ian's open arms.
They both hugged, happy to see each other. After a few moments, Amelia looked around, saying, "Thing's haven't changed at all, have they?"
"Not at all, everything's the same. It's been 6 years, I believe, since you left for SeeD." Ian said, seating himself upon a chair nearby.
"Well, Uncle," Amelia began, quite nervous about telling him about the incident at FH. "Something happened."
Ian looked confused. "What do you mean? Tell me, dear, there's nothing to worry about."
Amelia sighed, and told Ian everything that happened in FH, from when they arrived in FH to see it in ruins, to when Amelia unleashed Abigail from her heart.
Ian had no expression on his face. It was blank, but he looked like he was thinking.
Finally Ian said, "Go, I will think, and I'll call you over again to tell you what to do."
Amelia was relieved, and walked towards the door. "Thank you, Uncle," Amelia said, and she left the shop, leaving Uncle Ian in deep thinking.
----------------------------
*When Ian said "Amia," he called Amelia by her Tribal name, which meant, "Life," in Amelia's Tribal language.

Evan was sat in his room drinking a glass of orange, when Anette walked in "Evan how long are you staying" Evan stood up and looked at her "Don't worry I was only here for a shower and some change of clothes which i've done so I'm leaving now" Anette looked at him sadly "I would let you stay longer but.." Annette hesitated to finish her sentence and then Evan did it for her "Frank, is he still angry at me for punching him?"Evan smiled and continued "the asshole hit me first" Evan grabbed his Evo Keys from the pocket of his shredded Seed uniform and walked out the house.
Evan walked as fast as he could without drawing attention to himself to his White Mitsubishi Evolution, he pressed the unlock button on the key and the car let out a quiet beep, he opened the drivers side door and climbed in
he started the engine and reversed it out of the car parking slot it was in, he then drove it into and through the train station onto the tracks and began down the bridge, he turned on his CD player and
began accelerating

Amelia looked around, wondering where Enigma and the others were.
They're probably at the inn, Amelia thought.
She headed forwards, as the inn was not far from her Uncle Ian's shop, it was just 10 metres away.
Amelia soon reached the bar, and opened the door. She peered inside, scanning around for her companions. She saw Enigma, drinking a mug of beer, as Al was doing also.
Amelia walked in, stepping towards Enigma and Al. She found an opened space between her two companions,, so she planned a little surprise for them.
As Enigma and Al didn't notice Amelia was right behind them, Amelia pushed between them both, "Looks like you haven't been missing me at some time," she said, smiling and looking at both of them.

Arrival at Esthar

After a long journey, Arthvader has finally arrived at Esthar. Upon arrival, he headed towards the nearest inn to his location. Lucky for him, the inn was just 5 meters away from him. As he walked towards the inn, he noticed several Esthar soldiers, patrolling the vicinity. Not wanting to get into any problems, he hid in a dark alleyway to avoid any problems.

'Shoot. What are these guys searching for? I better contact the others if they are having any problems.'

Taking his cellphone from his pocket, he decided to dial Enigma's phone in order to see if he found out any information about their situation.
