Chronicles of Spira: Another Pilgrimage

Sorry about that guys, i just have been a bit busy, and forget entirely that i signed up for this, don't get me wrong, i still want to do it, it's just that... well sorry i forgot... lolz

Kamui was leaning on the piller, ouside the faith chamber, he was looking up at the door, waiting, Faith walked out, he breathed a sigh of relief, everything went well, she was now a summoner, and going to fight the monster Sin, who as the records show, was supposed to have died 1000 years ago, but for some reason had returned.

"Its the same wheel of time again," Kamui had said to himself that day, "If we were to defeat sin again, would there be another 1000 years of peace before he returned?"

Kamui walked out, outside into the fresh air of Beside island,
"So she has become a summoner now... i wonder how this will end, hopefully it would be a happy ending," whispered Kamui, he saw Rene go up to Faith, and asked her if she had become a summoner, and saw her confirmation in Faith's face. she seems happy, he thought, i suppose that is a good thing.

He stepped out of the shadows, and into the light of the flames and torches, walked to Faith and whispered into her ear "You have become a summoner now, you have skills a powers now, that most people will never have, don't let it go to your head, just words of advice, but congrats."

OOC: Nice long post, Dark Fantasy X. Seems you've improved a little since we last RPed together. I like that ... :) Time for me to post now ...

Faith heard all their questions and also heard Kamui whisper in her ear. She knew that he could tell by the happy look on her face and the exhaustion through the sweat pouring on her forehead that he knew she had just become a summoner. She wiped the dust off her skirt and then turned to face them all. "Yes, I have done it," she said, finally cracking a smile. "I have finally become a summoner." There was a bright smile on her face. The past three years of working towards this had finally paid off.

She wiped the sweat off her forehead and couldn't stop smiling. It may have taken me three years to get here. It may have been a whole day of intense praying, but ... I finally did it. We can start the pilgrimage tomorrow. I can't wait to go and finally defeat the monster that my uncle also faced. "We should go and get some rest later," she said. "I'm sure that the rest of the village would want to hear the good news." It was a tradition for a summoner to summon their first aeon upon initiation. And that was what Faith was going to do.
 
OOC: no problems, i'm going to bed now, so this will be my last post for today, and thanks for the compliment, i have been improving by writing my own story Darkness of Destria

Kamui lent against the entrance to the Besaid temple, he looked out over Beside, and saw a crowd gather at the base of the temple, around cement circle there, they were waiting to see whether or not, Faith, the girl they saw grow up, had become a summoner or not, they would be happy he though, grinning, then is the tradition of the summoner summoning her first aeon for them, it would be entertaining, but at the end of the pilgrimage, Faith would... no he didn't want to think about the end of the journey when they had yet to begin.

He remembered studing the history of the pilgrimage of high summoner Yuna, in his past time, it was an amazing history, but they didn't show how she had defeated sin, and brought the eternal calm... well the calm wasn't eternal, it only last 1000 years, but it was close enough.

The breeze blew the hair from Kamui's eyes, seems Faith is happy though, there is nothing that i can do or say, that would make her even consider giving this up, and i don't want to do that... he looked up at the blue sky, but how had high summoner yuna do it all those years ago...? was it through yevon, or did they discard their faith... no that couldn't be it, no would do that.

The crowd was assembling, he could hear the muttering of the possiblity of the new summoner.
 
IC: Rene was excited at seeing Faith summon her first aeon. He had heard what Kamui had said to her in the chamber of the fayth and he was happy he was there he still remembered when Kamui found him washed up on besaid beach nine years ago, Kamui introduced him to Faith and they became good friends. "Now here he was" he thought to himself "about to start a journey to beat the hell outta sin just like he promised his dead family. I'm gonna be with friends all the way and i'll do anything to protect Faith it's my job as a guardian" He gave the staff back to Faith who gave to him before she entered the the Fayths chamber. He went and stood next to Seth waiting for Faith to start. He was still amazed that she had done it in a day the last summoner only managed two days and even then people were astonished "She has promise doesn't she Seth?"

He watched Faith carefully he could tell she was happy with her bright smile across her face.He could also hear some people in the crowd muttering the possibilty of her failing the pilgrimage.

"Go see the birth of the greatest summoner since Yuna!!!" He shouted with such conviction that the people who had doubts about Faith were now her devoted followers.The reason he did this was because he knew perfectly well that she would complete pilgrimage.

He decided that he would head to the port to go get some rest aswell as meeting a old friend.He took a quick glance at Faith before he began leaving the village.
 
The crowd was gathering. Many of them had awaited her return so eagerly. Faith knew that this pilgrimage could go one of either two ways. It could turn out the way she wanted it to be and she could defeat Sin to keep many years of peace in Spira. But then there was the dark path. The path in which she could keep the power and use it for her own greed. But Faith wasn't one to have the power all for herself. She wanted to use this power to set Spira free from Sin, even if it was for a few mere nights, weeks or even months.

She thought to herself, as she approached the centre of the village with her staff in her right hand. Even if it means the children can sleep, then it's definitely worth it. Now silence only reigned throughout the village. Everyone had her eyes on her. Faith had to draw her confidence from them ... and from the power she had been given to defeat Sin. Here goes nothing! As many villagers had their heads bowed doing the prayer, Faith raised her staff. A glowing circular light appeared around her.

Far out in the distance, Valefor was flying towards Besaid Village with her beautiful golden wings. She descended upon the ground and stroked the aeon's beak, despite being hesitant at first. There were many surprised faces, many of those who had never ever seen an aeon before. Faith smiled and turned to her guardians, still smiling and nodded. I guess I've done it then.
 
IC: Seth looked on as he watched Faith stroke the aeons beak. He couldn't help but to have a suprised look on his face. So this is an aeon, he thought to himself. This was his first time actually seeing a real aeon. Before he had only heard of them in stories. He was impressed that Faith could control such a beast. After witnessing this, he was confident that they would be able to defeat Sin, but the journey itself would not be easy.

OOC: I'll try to write a little more in my next post.
 
IC: Rene had only seen an aeon once before and he was still amazed when he saw valefor it looked so beautiful but you could tell it was strong and fast he watched faith stroke the aeon but then realised that Bellicus was walking towards the beach he thought to follow but decided he should stay and be here with the others and faith he couldnt wait for tonight so he could have some fun before going out to the pilgrimage tomorrow he asked Seth " do you know where Bellicus is going?" he looked back over to where bellicus was and carried on wondering

OOC: will try to write more next time as well
 
Seth's attention had been so focused on the aeon that he didn't notice that Bellicus left the group until Rene said something. That guy seems to have his own agenda, he thought. Seth debated with himself on whether or not to follow him. Seth didn't know Bellicus very well or for that long.
"Where ever he's going, he should be back before we begin the pilgrimage," he told Rene. Right now my job is to protect Faith, so I must stay by her side, he thought. I'll have to keep an eye on him, but maybe I won't have to. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Right now, he would just have to put his trust in Bellicus. He turned back to Rene and Faith and said, "You should rest. The journey ahead of us will be difficult."
 
OOC: I don't really know how Guardians are "Recruited" (I never played FFX) so if I get it wrong here sorry.

IC:

Leon looked up at the massive building in front of him. The Bevelle Temple he thought, Where I had never hoped to go. After leaving the theatre Leon had spent most of the day standing around in taverns looking to pick up any rumors he could find about ways to destroy Sin. Luckily for him, Sin was all anyone could talk about. He heard a lot of nonsense, and bragging, and contradictory stories, but there was one thing consistent with everyone. Lady Yuna.

Apparently a thousand years ago Lady Yuna, a summoner, and her guardians had managed to defeat Sin. A summoner Leon had thought, I wouldn't know where to begin. A Guardian perhaps...it'll do. Walking slowly across the courtyard towards the temple Leon played with the idea in his head. When he looked up he saw, with surprise that he had reached the huge iron gates. Guards milled around. One of them confronted him. "I seek an audience with a Maester" said Leon.

OOC: I was hoping I could meet you Wulfe, since the others seem to be a bit away.I was assuming you were in Bevelle. Anyways - if not no problems.
 
Valefor took off for the sky and disappeared. As Faith was receiving so much praise from the villagers, she heard the advice of Seth and nodded. "Yes, the pilgrimage will be hard and long," she said. "I'll retire to my chamber in the temple for now. I'll get some rest, come back out later to join the night sky and then I'll rest properly. Thank you both for being here, Seth and Rene. I really appreciate everything, you know? I'm grateful you both stuck with me just like the others did. I'll see you both later." She walked back towards the temple and went into her chamber.

Resting her head upon the pillow, Faith felt the power running through her veins. It had made her stronger, yes, but it was not a power to toy around with. She wanted to become a summoner for a reason. And that reason was to defeat Sin. Sin was the mysterious entity, the very monster infamous for destroying people's lives. Faith would never forget the very night when Sin had attacked Besaid Island. She had survived the attack, but ... it changed her. Despite smiling and being cheerful, part of it was fake. There was a great sorrow hidden inside of Faith and she would not show it too easily to anyone, not even her guardians.
 
Rene nodded at Faith when she said she woudl go to sleep, the journey ahead would be very hard and tiring. Now that Faith was gone he told Seth "i'm gonna go see what bellicus is up to if you wanna come you can but you don't have to see you later" rene then set off to say good night to faith before heading toward the beach
 
IC: Rene was already on his way before Seth could even try to stop him. He couldn't just let Rene run off by himself and decided to with him. Kamui is still with Faith, so I shouldn't have to worry, he thought. He soon caught up with Rene and they both headed toward the beach after Bellicus. Even though he was reluctant to follow at first, he was curious about where Bellicus was going. It look'd as though he would find out.

OOC: I've got some stuff to do, so I won't be back for a few hours.
 
IC: Rene was relieved the Seth was going with him but he dare not show it, even though he's an excellent swordsman he still didn't fancy fighting any fiends after dark on the way he asked seth on the way "do you think we should be doing this? Maybe we shouldn't piss Bellicus off you know what he's like when he's mad. Aww what the hell i like making him mad!" Rene laughs loudly as he hears a loud growling he quietly takes out his sword just in case

As they carried on walking he thought about Faith and the aeon valefor even though they were the same age faith was always a lot different than most kids. Rene always knew she would be special and ever since she came out of the chamber of the fayth you could feel the power raidiate from her. They were going to have a long and hard journey ahead of them but he would always stick by her side and everyone elses as well

As Bellicus walked through the path towards his old friends place Bellicus realized he was being followed by someone.Bellicus stopped and took a look at the ground before saying "I know you are following me".A scrawny looking man who was wearing black robes jumped off a near by tree landing on his two feet.

"Ah Do you know who I work for?" The black robed man said as he looked at Bellicus directly in the eyes.
"Tell the maester that he shall die before my story ends" Bellicus replied as he began leaving the robed man to countinue walking through the path.
The black robed man ran as fast as he could into the woods proberly to tell his employer of what Bellicus said.

As Bellicus made it to his old friends place which was basically a hut on the beach he noticed that his friend was no where to be seen.
He went to a old woman that was nearby "Do you now were Hoist is?" Bellicus asked hoping that Hoist was just out fishing or something.
The old woman started crying before replying "My husband Hoist died 3years ago when he was out fishing,his ship got destroyed by sin".
"Im so sorry" Bellicus said with remorse before heading out to the edge of the beach to watch the sea.
As he watched the sea Bellicus knew he had nothing holding him back now.

IC: Rene noticed a black robed man running towards them with great haste before he got a chance to run past Rene and Seth he grabbed hold of his cloak pulling him back "Hey what's going on!" Rene asked the man politely
"Nothing young sir nothing at all" The man was scared
"No please do tell me" Rene was becoming impatient
"I have to give a message to one of the 4 maesters from sir Bellicus" He was extremely scared of rene now
"Oh really whats the message?" rene was now very interested in what he had to say
"He says that the maester will die before his story ends! now please i must go sir!" With that he broke free and carried on running away
"What the hell! Kill a maester! C'mon Seth lets hurry up and get to the beach

Kamui saw the aeon, it seemed gentle... almost familer, but that was the first time seeing it... must be just my head playing with me, he thought. He saw Faith leave for the temple, and saw that she was smiling, seems she is happy, thought Kamui, but he knew that deep down inside her, that isn't all completely real, but she hides it because she is a summoner and she has the power to change, but... "She shouldn't let that power control her, people look to her, for strength." he whispered to himself.
Kamui was leaning inside the temple, outside the chamber that Faith was sleeping in, i don't really have a purpose, he thought, so if protecting Faith is all that i am good for, so be it, he watched, as a man in a black robe entered the temple, and headed for the chamber that Faith slept in.
"What is it that you want?" Kami called out.
"I have a message," was his reply.
"Well what is it?"
"It must be given to the summoner directly."
"Why don't i believe that."
A look of utter shock crossed the man's face, "It is the truth."
"How do you know that Faith has become a summoner, she only became on yesterday, that is hardly enough time for the word to spread to the rest of Spira."
"Well that is... uh..."
"If i were you, i would leave, before you die, don't ever approach her again... understand?"
"Understood," was his reply, and the man left running, out the temple door.
"Hmmm... i wonder, it seems something is in motion, i think someone may have discovered something about us... i must stay by her side, i will protect her, i have no other meaning now."

IC:

::Just as Wullfe had finished his final scribe, a messenger bursts through his doors, the very same one who was shadowing Bellicus. Out of breath, he falls to his knees in front of Wullfe. For a moment, a frown crosses Wullfes stoic face. Sighing, he raises a glass to his lips as the man delivers his report.::

Robed man: "Maester Wullfe! Oh, it's terrible. That wretched sinner Bellicus has threatened your life."

::Wullfe wasn't sure he heard correct.::

Wullfe: (Threatened my life?! Does he know the penalty for killing a Maester of Yevon?)

::Upon seeing his master silent, the robed man recounted the incident with Bellicus. Before he finishes, Wullfe crushes his glass in anger. the robed man gasps, and slinks away bowing. Wullfe rises, and rushes for his door, the broken shards of glass still embedded in his hand, the blood trickling down to the floor.::

Wullfe: (I see. A threat from Bellicus is not to be taken lightly. Out of all the guardians, he is the one to be most feared. I'll have to pay him a visit in person... And end his story with mine own two hands.)

::By now, Wullfe has Donned a midnight blue cape and matching hood, bordered by black. The hood lies on his shoulders and his hair is neatly parted, held in place by a small silver halo. He's finished bandaging his injured hand, and now strives up to the gates of his residence, only to find his guards harassing a loyal citizen (Leon). He approaches, and they both part, allowing the man an audience.::

Wullfe: (I don't have time for this, I'll have to dismiss him-)

::Ready to do so, Wullfe raises his bandaged hand and pauses when he sees the mans eyes.::

Wullfe: (Perhaps I was too hasty.)

::Wullfe lowers his hand, and nods to the man.::

Wullfe: "Speak. Why have you come here, my son?"

Yes i know that, that is why i'm standing guard outside the chamber in which Faith is sleeping, it is still the same day, i know all that, i just followed her, and am guarding her while she sleeps

Kamui was a little uneasy... only a little, that messenger, ment Faith harm, and how did he already know that Faith had become a summoner? he thought... seems this trip isn't going to be as easy as i hoped it would be... not suprising really.

He looked at the chamber door, i hope she is getting some good rest, she will need it, probably the last time that she can sleep peacefully like this...
