Fan Fiction Dissidia 012 Discussion

I think it would be strange for them to add Rude and not Reno, or vice versa. Rude and Reno are pretty much a pair.

I think that the major and most significant villain from FFVII which could be included would be Hojo, but trying to link Tifa up with Hojo would need a stretch. Hojo would be good for Dissidia though... His normal form, and then
his morphed Freakyhydenstein
look as his ExMode.

Yay, more info!

I'm not surprised to see Tifa. She's such a popular character along with being actual fighter.

And did someone say Celes? Awesome ^^

Really excited about this game now, for sure. I wonder how long these guys were working on it before they decided to make the annoucement O.O

They mistook Cecil for Celes I think. :wacky:

So I don't think that we can take it as Celes being confirmed. Unless they change Terra, I think Celes in battle and appearance would be too similar to Terra if they were both in Dissidia. I think that FFVI deserves a more varied representation as the characters in that game really were very varied.

If they were to include Celes then they'd have to give her ice, water and wind based attacks etc, and get rid of Terra's so that she is left with fire and earth. They'd have to make them different in an elemental way (similar to how the characters were meant to be) at least.

Yuffie > Tifa :mokken:

Who do we expect from IX? I want Vivi, but StienerxBeatrix is looking more likely if there are two villains. Beatrix :ohoho: Me like the idea :ryan:

Lightning Brea and Kingdom Hearts Strife.

Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy content will actually ship before the game. The 3rd Birthday comes with a code that gives Lightning an Aya costume, fitting since Aya has a Lightning outfit in her game. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix includes a code for a Kingdom Hearts Cloud costume. You’ll need to connect to PlayStation Network to download both costumes. It’s unclear if Square Enix plans on selling these as DLC or if they’re just a bonus for fans that pick up their other PSP games.

EDIT: COURTESY OF FFN;

DISSIDIA 012 [DUODECIM]: FINAL FANTASY
08:37p: Tifa Lockhart is the third newest Dissidia Duodecim character being revealed at TGS. (11:10p: We’ve now had multiple sources confirm this, so we’re calling it true.)
People are going to get to beat Tifa again? :rage: And Cloud looks god damn sexy. :rage:

It's odd Tifa doesn't remember Sephiroth--if she doesn't remember him, does that mean she won't remember anyone else? :hmmm:

Oh, and I like how Lightning has such girlie clothes. xD

I would love to see Steiner and Beatrix show up representing FFIX. I haven't played the first Dissidia, so I have no idea what the story basically is so far, but I'm rather fond of the idea of Beatrix initially fighting for the villains out of misguiding loyalty for them, then switch sides later on as another nod to FFIX. Anyway, enough of my pointless speculations now.

And I did raise an eyebrow at the initial oddity of the outfit-swapping of Lightning and Aya. It makes sense I suppose, in a rather "BUY BOTH GAMES NOW!!" kind of message. If it was me being asked to simultaneously promote The 3rd Birthday, I may as well just throw (the real) Aya in there as an unlockable character for the hell of it.

So is Celes in the game or not? :mokken:

I haven't seen any mentioning of Celes, but you never know. I think one of the sites thought they saw a Celes in there somewhere, but apparently it was Cecil instead. D=

Ahh, man. That sucks. Okay, thanks for teh info.

It better be Celes or Edgar for FFVI

They have to make up for not giving Terra a sword, screwing up the story line of the War of Magi and basically, everything around Terra. :P

Her not having a sword doesn't ruin her. :mokken: but I agree, she needs more weapons. Who knows, maybe they'll give her a sword she don't know how to use.:rage:

It's a far-off stretch to wish for Edgar in this game, as much as I wish he would appear. But I have a better chance of seeing Yuffie in the game than that. Which, by the way, they should have put Yuffie in here or Vincent god damn it. :rage:

I just hope the different costumes isn't the only change or add on. Hopefully the acting and plot/script is better this time around.

Sky, you haven't even played the game and you hate Terra, you can't judge. :mokken:

Besides, it does ruin her character, a rabid, freak, obsessive fan like me would know.

What? How is it a far stretch? Why you wanna hurt me like that? :(
Edgar would be great to play with. He could use sword, spears and a chainsaw! That's awesome! But no, they will troll the FF6 fandom like they've been doing for 17 years.

I don't hate Terra--I just don't like her. And I have played the game. :mokken:

Of course Edgar would be awesome to play--but it ain't gon happen. :rage:

Not sure if this has been answered but will there be any new significant add-ons? I've seen one trailer and it just looks like newer clothes. Which is a bust.

Well I'd certainly be happy with Edgar, but I think that the inclusion of another character such as Locke, Sezter or Shadow would be more likely. Edgar is a character in his own right, for sure, but I think that he might be considered as too linked to Sabin to appear on his own. I'm sure he could, and I'd welcome it, but I'm not sure if they'd think that way.

Locke might make it because he's the closest thing to a male lead in FFVI, and they might be wanting to add him for that reason. Setzer might be added because of his appearance in Kingdom Hearts, which may have made him known more to other people who hadn't played FFVI before. Shadow might be added because a fighting game seems to suit his style, and Interceptor running into the battle for an ExBurst would be pretty amazing.

Really though, I'd be happy with any of those. I'd be happy with any FFVI character actually. They're all awesome in that cast. I'd even welcome Gogo or Umaro as I really liked them too, despite being optional characters.

Then if that's the case I hope Setzer enters in the game. He'd be kick ass to play. Throwin' cards like Gambit--that's kick ass, man.

I think Mog would be a good candidate as the other hero for VI, seeming as he's a character well known to many fans of the series (not just hardcore VI fans). Mog working together with Terra in the story mode wouldn't cause an upset within fangirls of the male VI characters too.

Plus he'll have a pretty good set of moves with his dancing and spear attacks. Him dancing all over the stage would be fun to watch too.

That would be amazing. I think it isn't too far out for them to add that in. If I recall correctly there were bonus scenes involving Terra hugging a moogle, or something along those lines. I think that Mog would be a great addition to the cast and would be killing two birds with one stone; it will be representing FFVI AND one of the FF series' most treasured races and mascots.

Girl, don't you be lyin' to me, sister girl. :gasp:

Yup, the system has changed and add-ons have been given. If anything, the system has been completely re-made besides the graphics engine. The three player (? awesome?) is a nice addition.

Edgar would be the pimp the game needs. Chainsawin' and Toolin' people would be epicly awesome. It better happen, we had enough thieves and ninjas, so they better not add thoses. Setzer would be nice, I would say Sabin, but Tifa has just filled the spot of fist fighter, so I don't want another....

Well, I never really thought Locke was the main, just Celes and Terra, considering you don't get to play him as a important role besides South Figaro and I think the Opera scene, but Terra and Celes get to have a half of each game: Terra first, Celes second. Plus, you don't really need Locke in the game to beat the game.

I think they might add Setzer, since he was already put in KH2. Doesn't Nomura own Setzer's rights since he created him? So it might be Setzer and I guess a card slinger would be nice to place as. :>

Mog? Well, having a Moogle in the game already might have messed that up....didn't it?

Mog would be adorable. Moogles in 6 used spears and daggers, so it would be nifty. :D

I don't consider him the main either. I meant that he is close to being a male main. He's the first male playable character that you get to control and he is there in quite a few major scenes. I agree though that the main male of FFVI is tricky to decide, as all characters get good development, but I think that Locke is considered by most to be the leading man.

The mains of FFVI are undoubtedly female, and main status is shared between Terra and Celes (though personally I view Terra as the main, though others would disagree).
