Dream job(s)

It would probably being a famous DJ/producer. The "famous" it not necessary but it would be really nice to be known enough to play everywhere in the world, in huge clubs/raves and make a living out of that. You're basically getting paid to make people dance. That would be the dream life for me.

My dream jobs would be:

Full-time author: I have materials I'm working on right now to get this going, but there's a big difference between completing the books and actually selling them :lew: I need to get some better networking skills, but hopefully in time this will come to fruition, if I'm lucky.

Medieval Norse archaoelogist: I love the Viking period in history, and the post-Viking era Norse voyages to and towards the new world, and I would love to do some sort of research on the subject professionally, particularly out in the field digging up old homesteads :D I already have a Bachelor's in history so I'm at least slightly on the way to being there.

Touring performing musical artist--I always wanted to do this for most of my life growing up, and even though I'm not sure how well it would fit my current lifestyle with having a SO who has a stationary job location, I still think it would be fun. I doubt it will ever happen unless the music scene changes back to how it was in the late 90s, due to the style of music I write, but I suppose anything is possible to some degree :hmmm:

Primary School Teacher For the nostalgia of teaching at my old primary school, and learning why the students were never allowed in the Staffroom... it was a kind of mystery game. I'd always imagine myself having a lot of fun with the little kids...by little I mean 7-9... no 5 year olds...yeah

If not a teacher then a Graphic Designer hahahahahaha well the Graphics industry is growing, and I would like to see what it would be like to get a career out of Photoshop =)

My dream job is to be a manga artist or a mother of two children to my precious Leo. <3
I understand that some manga artists do not make a lot of money but it would be something I would forever love to do.

Hmm... Dream job? Let's see....

Working at Square Enix - designing characters and writing new FF story plot!hahah

^^ Not really my dream job but I would love to do that too!

My dream job is most probably working with and studiying about marine mammals like the whales, dolphins and manatees in their natural enviroment.

____

My work currently is kinda boring but it's ok. I work in medical laboratory running blood test for patients....

My dream job would be as king of the world. I would be very good at it and would be able to rain down the full extent of my wrath upon my many enemies.

If that would prove to be impossible, I don't know. We are talking about dream jobs, so I don't really want to settle for second best. Within more realistic bounds, I suppose I wouldn't mind being involved with publishing, either within the business in some kind of developmental role, or as a writer/artist myself. I think my writing style is sufficiently invigorating that certain kinds of people might desire to read more of it, and I'm an imaginative individual. Yet the crux of being a writer is having good ideas, and being able to pursue them to their logical end, even when the only reward for doing so in the initial stages is a sense of self ... something or other. Self-respect, self-worth, self-appreciation? Irrespective of, writing or artistry should be a passion first before it becomes a profession. It's lonely, underneath that pen, where the only ones who know the real you are your characters.

And they hate you.

I've been dreaming about a job where in I can do what I love to do, reading novels...
Just read maybe 16 hours a day... Like a book reviewer but without deadlines! :-)

might not be successful so it's just going to be my dreamjob: owning a coffee shop
ive been attracted to coffee shops and i was hoping to make one of my own but i know id be a failure so no hahaha!!!
second: novel writer
i like writing... fanfictions*cough*
third: patissier
this is something im really aiming for hahaha, but for now im on culinary D:

I have no idea what my dream job would be tbh. I know i would absolutely love to play music for a living. Thats my dream. As far as realistic jobs go theres never really been anything ive aspired to be, which is a bit sad i suupose. In a perfect world it would be something i loved that payed loadsa money..but thats just another dream. Looking back i kinda fancied the police force. The films make it look exciting but reality is very differnt from the movies.

:hmmm: I too have not thought much about what my dream job would be...

I looove animals so perhaps something to do with them like David Attenborough, just go around talking about animals on tv. I'd also love a job that could make me rich very fast, then I would quit my job and my dream job would then be being a rich bum.

Being paid to play video games would also be swell, that is every nerds dream I think.

Or a food critic

Well, ever since I was little I wanted to be a writer/journalist. But I really love history and geography. Something about traveling and walking in ancient places around the globe just completely fascinates me. I've always been stuck in the same place my whole life so I just sort of yearn to travel around the world and see all the places I've ever dreamnt of.

I wouldn't really mind going to countries where people need help, too--joining the peace corps is sorta always on my mind now. :hmmm:

But there was one other thing I've always just loved... astronomy. I am just very in love with the idea of it and since my grandfather works at NASA and helped with the moon lander I've just always loved the idea of being an astronomer.

But, I can't be an astronomer I've never been good at math and I'm not in the situation to get better at it. :lew: So shot down the drain that dream is. :okay:

I've always wanted to be a writer... but that's a fantasy.

I wanted to work in stores, so I choose this option at college, then I changed my mind and wanted to become an english teacher, so I did a bachelor's degree of linguistic... in the mean time I learned programmation and then went to a computer school, and now I'm a computer engineer.

It seems like I'm NEVER happy with what I have or can have, I work hard to get something and when I can have it I don't want it anymore and jump in another direction lol. I'll try to keep the computer engineer job for a few years at least though, I have to pay bills and it's not the worst job.

This one's easy. :ohshit:

1) Make cash.

2) Divert said cash to a useful purpose which benefits humanity(as opposed to pointlessly hoarding it or pretending to benefit humanity via addressing symptoms and not causes -- as charities and other potentially useless organizations do).

:argor:

I have quite a few dream jobs personally. Here they are:
1) Make-up artist: I have adored makeup from a pretty young teen age, and have slowly gotten the hang of it more and more. I'd love to one day be able to create tutorials for people, and if I were to become one, I'll probably be freelance. I did beauty for a bit at college so that helped with the experience. I miss that course; never completed it fully. :( I also wouldn't mind doing nails or hair; however out of those two I am better at nails.

2) Photographer: I've been told with my very basic skills I am decent at photography, and I would love to be able to do it someday - probably only as commissions for friends/family though.

3) Manager of a nice shop: Preferably of a lingerie or jewellery store. I love lingerie shopping, and jewellery shopping (providing it is a decent price), I know it won't be the MOST creative of jobs, but I would deffo like doing it I think.

Currently, my dream job would be as a sound designer. You know how those sounds for lightsabers and other fictional things were created? Yepp, those were all due to sound designers. They create the sounds but also go out to record particular sounds that they would need, process, edit, and mix to create new ones.

I find that whatever it might be at the moment, my dream jobs are all audio/music related. Or at least within the media industry.

I have 2

First would be to work for square enix as a writer/character designer. That would be totally cool, mostly because I want to visit Japan at least once.

Second would be to be the head creative writer for WWE. If this happened I would probably faint into a coma for weeks. Nothing would be better than this!

Ultimate Dream Job? Well I'd say mine was more of a fantasy job.. it would be in the creation of videogames like making all the modes like campaign, characters, multiplayer etc

realistic dream job- have my own businesses in multiple different areas such as catering, web design etc.. I plan to achieve all my dreams

If it could be possible, I'd like to draw costellations in the sky so all people could see my drawings made with stars during the night.

Or...I'd like to be a Pokémon catcher travelling all over the world!

But our world is so awful so I have to be satisfied with a common job like a teacher or an astronaut. In my dreams I'd like to do a job related to Japan, but I don't know exactly what type of job.

I've not had a single consistent dream job. :hmmm:

I remember graduating from my primary school, and we all had to fill in profiles for ourselves for the purpose of putting together a portfolio book of all the pupils transitioning from Year 6 to secondary school. Under "dream job", I said I would like to be an astronomer. More specifically, I wanted to be a planet hunter. I was so engrossed in the topic of space at the time that I would never shut up about it. I would religiously scour the internet for scraps of information on planets outside of our solar system, phenomena in the deepest corners of our universe, and remembering (vainly) just how many moons the gas giants have. Eh, that obviously isn't going to happen. NASA isn't going to pay me any attention anyway.

We were probably all in this child-like state of wonder when we first played our first Final Fantasy games, back when we thought they were some of the best things ever. I did dream of joining Square or a similar company when I was 13-14 to make the games for myself. I believed that I could put my artistic imagination to good use in designing characters, monsters and gear. Buuuut, game design is totally out of my reach. A career in tech seems very improbable, because look at me. I'm 20, and I'm still hopeless with tech and programs. There's this 19-year old who made a Skyrim mod featuring a whole new landmass and 25 more hours of quest content in only a year, for God's sake. I'd kill to be one of those people.

Ehh, what else? I suppose one of my more realistic ambitions was to be a journalist/columnist/writer. Or haha, whatever pays handsomely just for my bitching and whining about things in general. It could still happen, who knows, but journalism as a field is viciously competitive. I'd have to be exceptionally on my toes to keep my head above the water. I kind of wish I'm more versed when it comes to financial news though. Maybe a course in Politics, Philosophy and Economics could have been better. :hmmm:

Well, right now? It looks like my direction is teaching or academia. But people constantly joke that I should run as an MP in the future, then government minister, then Prime Minister. Ahahahahahaha. No. Nah, sorry. I'm not ratty enough for that den of lunatics.

Well... right now I fix gate openers, and I do love fixing things. However my dream job would be driving a Zamboni machine. Hell, they even made a song about wanting to be a Zamboni driver.
