Endless Cry - Final Fantasy VII

i would take my post out but at the moment i can not locate the thread in which it was posted...ok found it... posts gone... i apologise for being new to this and for not realising that the game had progressed from the dark fang battle before posting... i am truly sorry and i hope the new bio is more acceptable

That's cool, Fayd, you made a simple mistake that's all. I've taken a look at your edited profile and it's now good to go. I'll add your profile in a minute to the new profiles thread. I want you make an introduction of your character entering Cosmo Canyon in order to join up with Avalanche. (In the story, only the group fighting Cloud know yet about Sephiroth's imminent return). Once you have, I'll provide you with some starting equipment and we'll get you into the flow of things.

Remember, one paragraph minimum (around six-seven lines) is expected from all players. Because of this very reason, I am not updating Shadow's actions until he has either altered his post, or responded to my post about it on here. I'm not trying to be mean, or do the Moderator's job for them, but a stipulation I made myself by setting this up was that people would still role-play naturally like in any other RP. This does have a really good story behind it, so there's really no excuses.

I've accepted your profile and set it up for you. There is one issue though, about your sub-weapon. I will allow them to be both melee and long range if you accept a varient on your description 0 that there is an opponent evade chance when they are thrown. Once you've got back to me on that, you can begin by making an introductionary post with your character arriving at Cosmo Canyon.

Well, in my bio already I stated that the hatchets are difficult to wield in close combat and the shape of them makes long range damage a difficulty to deal with, would that not count as an 'opponent miss chance'? If not I can just add in a kind of stat below it for how likely an enemy is to be struck/dodge the attack.

EDIT: I put an 'enemy miss chance' area below the weapon description, I've labelled the chance that the attack type will land, that should be suitable now.

No prob at all. I was just making sure that you knew I would accept the dual range weapon only on an opponent evasion chance clause. :) So yeah, you're free to post your introduction now.

Julius Aurelius
Of course. Your profile has been accepted and posted up (you have your starting equipment and materia already) so you are free to start participating.

So far in the role-play: people from all over the world have gathered in Cosmo Canyon in order to join the fabled Avalanche. Few however know the real danger and meaning behind this army being hastily formed. Yuffie took several new members (Shadow, Sage, Kayne and Tokugawa) into the Forbidden Caves in order to start their training. After defeating a monster, they were confronted by Cloud, who enlightened them of the war on the horizon and Sephiroth's return. The team are now in a fierce battle with Cloud as he tests their abilities.

So, you just need to make an introductionary post of your character arriving / or having just attended the meeting that was held there. You can go shopping and equip yourself up if you like (you have been given starting materia and some items already). When you are prepared, make your way to the entrance of the Forbidden Caves, and we'll integrate your character into events from there...

Alright, I made my first post. I based where I went more or less off of the Cosmo Canyon of FF7. And I went the way below to the cave where Nanaki's father was petrified, would I be correct that that is the forbidden cave? If i am mistaken I'll edit my post.

im there and waiting for the next part... wheres the character thread so i can see what is in my inventory.

Well, unphased, Yukio's finally back in the game. But, being a rather mean Mun, I decided to give him some temporary brain damage. xD Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes by going for headshots.

I'll get Fair_Game to post soon, promise. =)

No worries - everything is cool. Since you were hiding out Fayd, I didn't introduce you into things just yet like Alexander had (though I did mention Yuffie getting a feeling like she was being watched). So yeah, you can jump in whenever you are ready and I'll add you into the fight like I did with Jules. :)

Too bad the fight looks pretty much over. Unless Clouds got a super potion up his sleeve.

Sorry, for my inactivity, I was just getting back from vacation and didn't think about the RP at all.

My last post was pretty shotty, but I promise to make better ones in the future.

Side Note : You have NO IDEA how talented Contra is at 'getting people to post'. Her methods of persuasion are HORRIBLE. *pouts*

"Do it or your not getting any"? HAHAHA
sorry, that was not nice of me ^^

@Unphased:
I have been wondering about this for some time now.
My limit skill "Death and Rebirth" It has a cost of 110 Limit points
though, My limit number don't go to more then 100..

So, can I use this at all?
Or do I have to wait until I level, or gain more limit power.. or something?

@Fair Game.
Wrong place to write this, but get postin' in the RPB, or I might win by default, and we don't want that ^^
Details in the PM I sent.

Unphased: I just want to ask about The Limit Breaks. I'm assuming it doesn't use AP? I saw in your last post that I'm able to do my Limit Break, but I'm not sure which stat that takes away from. I'm assuming it's the Limit Break gauge?

Alright, I just made my first in-battle post, if I made any errors let me know and I'll fix them up.

Red Fox
Yes. Since the attributes for the limit itself is quite powerful (complete restoration on the group, and a strong death chance on all opponents) the requirement tallied up to 110. So you won't be able to access this particular limit until you level up.

Contra Fates
Indeed. Using your limit will deplete the Limit Break gauge (which starts off to a maximum of 100 at Level 1). So as you level up, your gauge will increase, and so you'll soon be able to fire off multiple limits in quick succession eventually.

Ah, I assumed as much, but thanks for clarifying

HOLY HELL this can be interesting later on.
What if everyone manages to have at least one, or 2 "goes".
That can turn out in a serious damage output ^^

----------------------------------------------

Well, It is not like I would have been avalible to wait if I got the chance to use Multicast. To save it for D&R.

Thanks for the reply, and may the RP do on for evah ^^

Hey unphased, just curious about the battle with cloud. At the end of your second to last post cloud had 507 hp. At the end of your last post he had 7 hp, but received 500 damage from poison and 204 damage from Alexander's attack. Shouldn't he be dead?

Yukio and Shadow *should be alive*.

Anyway, just thought I'd try and find out what the scoop was.

Oop. o_O Forgot to factor in Alexander's attack onto Cloud. I've edited the post and taken out Cloud's responce. Will update Kayne's actions when I'm back later on...
