~Eureka Academy: Exitium~

Jack Miezer

Quickly reaching his way up the wall of the academy, Jack saw the shade with human skin that was hiding out of sight of the light from within. It was fairly obvious considering that the human skin shade was hanging on the wall with no signs of equipment to hold him there and dealing with dominus and magica students means that the shade was not using any sort of spells or such. With a burst of speed, Jack grabbed the shade and tossed it off of the wall before launching himself after it. He dropped one dagger, which his foot grabbed instantly as he sped toward the shade. The shade lashed out toward Jack by piercing through it's human skin and struck toward Jack, but that held no avail as the cyborg teacher sliced the attacking appendage off with the dagger in his hand. With a single fluid move, Jack brought his dagger wielding foot down on the shade vertically, slicing it in half. The bifurcated shade faded away into ash as the wind blew. The foot dagger resheathed itself as he landed in a clearing just outside of the academy walls. His ear mic crackled to life.

"Lyra, Jack how is progress going?"

“The enemy is dull and boring. I’ve killed one… I would at least want them to fight back as I’m burning them to death. A scream or two would be nice… but this is just dull. None of my team members have reported back, though I’m sure they’re fine. These things don’t seem like they can put up much of a fight.”

"I found one just hanging on a wall looking into the academy event itself. No spells, no gear to prop itself up. Just hands and feet. That one put a bit of a fight with me. But nothing that can't be handled. Also, remind me to collect a 20 page report from 5 students on why they were drinking on campus tomorrow." Jack muttered as sheathed his remaining dagger and started walking back to the academy.

---Eile Mires---

Apparently, Maeinardi's puppet knew the way as she followed her. After passing by some party goers, she reached a doorway. Watching Maeinardi open the door, Eile quickly slipped past the door and into what looked like the storage room if the barrels and crates were something to say.

"This passage leads to outside."

Maeinardi
pointed out a rather large crack in the wall near a shelf as she slipped through it. Quickly following, Eile slipped through the crack as she stopped behind Maeinardi.

"How far do we have to walk to get to this person?" Eile asked.

Elaine Chevalier

"Fine then here's what I have in groups so far- Oh wait it's Zee."

Elaine looked at Zee for a moment, whom just delivered her speech to all in attendance. While Stella seemed quite surprised about Escaflowne being quite the hostess, Elaine however thought she did good. Still, that was not the matter that needed to be discussed.

Bleh, i hate speeches.... Watcha all workin on?

"Oh just some mumbo jumbo work. I was just about to show Eliane the teams for missions I've set up. Here have a look."

Elaine looked at the list, which consisted of three teams, each with four members. The various little bit of notes amused her, though the thought of her being scary kinda worried her, as she did not want to put herself off as some kind of stern, authoritarian-esque figure not unlike Lyra. But she quickly snapped out of it and started analyzing the teams based on their abilities. The first team seemed more heavily orientated towards physical combat, however from what she saw of Elie, the ability to change classes as will would prove beneficial, and under Jack and Zee's combined leadership things would balance out.

Then there was Stella's team, this one is backed with experience, with two StuCo and 2 DisCo members on it. It's for this particular reason that this team would, despite being somewhat unbalanced in places, would make up for it in experience and skill.

Then there was her own team, Which included another DisCo member, the Magia House Head, and the gun-toting Germanian Hanzel. She also felt that the team is quite balanced, given she is good with both magic and physical combat, and Hanzel's ability to fight from multiple ranges if needed, to complement the other two's magic capacities.

“H-Hello…Do you need me to do anything?”

Her thinking would be distracted with the arrival of Alyss. Despite her meek exterior, Elaine felt that she had quite a strong heart and great potential, despite what anyone else would care to say.

"I feel the teams are fairly balanced, what say you? Zee, Alyss?"
She said with a smile, allowing Alyss to see the list herself.

Escaflowne Zraith

"Oh just some mumbo jumbo work. I was just about to show Eliane the teams for missions I've set up. Here have a look."

Geh, forgot about wor... i mean, ahem. Of course. It should be fine, but it doesnt hurt to look.
Stella's list of epic teams and such! { 'o'} -dinoaurs! rawr!

Group 1. Professor Jack(I wonder if he sees himself as naked all the time...) - Escaflowne(ninja skills! ya!) - Elie(I wonder if the carpet matches the green drapes O__O) - Maeinardi(weirdo lady)

Group 2. Eliane(Kinda scary sometimes. eeeek!) - Delijah(Such a cutie pie!) - Flick(Looks like someone familiar...hmmm) - Hanzel(or is it Hansel? Like Hansel & Gretel?)

Group 3. Myself(<3<3<3) - Ophelia( She's kinda pretty...kinda) - Lukas(Putting this hottie on my team whut whut!) - Alyss( >.>...)

"Err you guys could ignore all the scribbling and stuff. So what do you think?"

Too late. Saw it already.

As much of a bit of a ditz Stella may be, her StuCo leader position was earned, not given. The teams were nicely balanced and didnt emphasise on one aspect and leave the others empty. The little notes she had were amusing and it did raise her eyebrow a few times. In particular was the teacher Jack, Ophelia and Lukas. Escaflowne did not the >.> besides Alyss' name, unsure of how to interpret that emote. And when thinking of which, Alyss joined them, making the StuCo complete

“H-Hello…Do you need me to do anything?”

Heya sport! And naked indeed Stella. If he is, then im on a team with a pervert. As far as i can see, everything seems balanced. Mr Mizer and I can balance out for any shortcoming of the two girls. Eliane has the two little tykebombs and as long as they dont kill each other between fights, all good. Then we have the allstar team.... Did you make this team so you can take it easy Stella?

Of course, she didnt, but Escaflowne was never one to let an opportunity for jesting go.

"I feel the teams are fairly balanced, what say you? Zee, Alyss?"

In all seriousness, as far as i can see, they are safe and stable choices. We can mix them up later on when the less experienced students get... well more experience, but this formation is good.

Delijah Fei

Delijah began to earnestly comb the crowd. She honestly didnt know what she should be looking out for besides the normal sucpicious activity, such as contrabands and such. In fact, since her colleagues and herself were much more dilligent right now, Delijah managed to catch several students trying to spike the punch bowl with alcohol, several males harassing several female students and a bunch that had crept onto the balcony to have a cigarette. This was all normal and wasn't something Lyra would give such strict instructions on. Taking the opportunity to just idle away in the open night air, Delijah let herself kind of zone off when she noticed a few people way down below on the school grounds. THey were quite far up so it was hard to make out their faces, but they were definitely students and were kind of shuffling about in an odd, sluggish way. Not willing to leave her post and just jump off, Delijah decided to call it in to Lyra.

Ms Scarlet. Delijah here. I've spotted a few students mulling about outside on the west side of the Grand Hall on the ground. They are acting in a strange manner, very sluggish. Moving out of Great Hall in intercept.

Their actions were different than one that was intoxicated. For all she knew, they were drugged up. Hardening herself completely into steel, Delijah stepped off the balcony railing and plummeted straight down the ground floor.

You four! Halt! Show me your IDs!

Hanzel Von Marseille

"Oh we can go right now! Mopsy knows the way actually."

Apparently, Maeinardi and Eile was planning for a night time exploring adventure. It did intrigue Hanzel as she had never really been out and about on the grounds after sensible hours. So when Maeinardi offered her to join them, she didnt see a reason as to not accept the offer. That and the suddenly moving bunny was kinda cute.

"You want to see the spider man too Hanzel? Mopsy says this way. It looks like the entrance is closed anyways. Good going bunny!"

Sure, why not? Mopsy reminds me of Miss Potts, my toy bear, so i trust her then.

Following behind Maeinardi through the path she made, Hanzel quickly finished off as many of the sweets she had on her plate before sadly abandoning it on the last table they passed. Shifting Lowenzahn into her hand, she was was about to help Maeinardi witht he door when it swung open effortlessly. Inside, was a storage room.

"This passage leads to outside. Come on through! If it gets scary you can hide in my coffin."

Haha. I will pass. Coffin's and I dont really mix too well, but thank you for your offer.

Hanzel was worried that Lowenzahn wasn't going to fit through the gap, but after a few seconds of jigsaw puzzle work, Hanzel managed to fit it through and crawled in after Maeinardi, emerging from the other side behind the girl.

Bwah! I'm out! What do we have here Ms Reyes?

Coming after the girl, Hanzel had no idea what to expect from the other side.

Headmaster Krell

His office was still in shambles by the time he got back. There was no time for anger, something bigger was happening here. His students were missing, kidnapped from right under his nose. He had students but splitting them into two teams as well as having teams guard the academy from attacks was spreading their forces to thin. What's more, most of the students could barely take on the stronger shade.

Krell needed a plan. He'd need to return to where he'd taken his identical corpse but the students needed rescuing. Both missions were critical and both needed. If he didn't act fast, if they didn't prepare he could potentially lose either one. He'd have to locate where his students were being kept. No doubt a collecting ship of some sort. But those were where the stronger shades were. He'd seen the type before, large and navigating the skies better than any airship. Most of the shade ships were a dark ugly color. He'd need strong students to get the task done.

It took Stella a few minutes to reach his office from his summons of her. Jack and Lyra would no doubt rid the school of shade imposers before the night was through. For now he needed a team to depart with him asap. The other teams he'd asked her to put together could go through with finding the enemy ship. "Yes headmaster?" asked the student council president.

He stretched out his hand in which she placed the folder he'd given her earlier. The teams she'd put together seemed to work. "Wait, you left a few students out."

"That's just in case the school comes under attack sir."

Lyra and the other teachers would probably be enough to hold ground here. But he doubted anything bad would happen, yet given what happened the last time he'd dealt with disturbing the enemy... "Hmph." It was all he could say to the girl.

There was no point in arguing against the teams. For once he'd just have to trust the students. "Tell group 2 to pack their things immediately. I have use of them immediately. The rest of you will have to depart after I send Justise to find the location of a Shade ship."

The girl stared back, blinking a few times. "What's this about?"

"I'll explain it to you and the other girls later. Go alert those needed and enjoy the rest of the night."

Phelda Stella Marx

The first week of classes had really done her in. The Arma classes were physically tiring. Practicing stances against test dummies every evening after Dominus based studies were great exercise. She could feel a faint sting in her muscles where She'd worked out. Headmaster Krell had already left out a day after he'd alerted the Student Council to what actually happened.

Stella wondered whether he and Eliane's team were going to be safe. He hadn't explained himself much, he rarely ever did, but something told me it would something big. Yet, she couldn't possibly imagine a situation more dangerous than the one she and the other two groups were trying. Rescuing lost students from a ship full of those...creatures. She couldn't imagine what they'd find. Yet, Krell had recommended the participants himself.

She stood out on the docks looking out at the clouds ahead. It looked as if Eureka would be drifting into a rainstorm soon. A horn blew from the transport ship. She'd brought her weapon, gripping it in her hand. Last he checked Ophelia, Lukas, and Alyss were probably on their way at this moment. Professor Jack's team would be leading them to the large Shade ship which seemed to have taken refuge in a few mountains below. From there the two teams would have to infiltrate and rescue, however the planning on how would have to be done on the way there. There were no maps of the inside, and even worse there was no telling what type of creatures would await them. It was times like this where she thought of Eliane, but her mind shifted to more important matters.

The docks seemed to sway as Eureka island inched closer towards the storm clouds. Stella had begun to board the transport ship. She felt an anger. They had kidnapped her sister along with about 200 other students. Whether the rest of her team showed up or not it was her responsibility to bring those students back dead or alive.

Maeinardi Reyes

Maei skipped happily from the Arma dormitory, her excitement unable to be contained. She'd been briefed like all of the others of the situation and couldn't wait! It was her first mission of the school year. Her snack-time truffles tasted sweeter and her coffin felt much lighter upon her shoulders. It was rare for her to even get accepted to participate in missions in the past. She viewed this one as a field trip. It looked like this year was looking up after all.

She noted to herself that the spider man would want to hear about this as well. He rarely got visitors and she wished the creepy groundskeeper hadn't caught her and sent her back to the school when she tried to introduce more friends to him. "Girlie control yourself! You'll break your neck if ya keep jumping down stairs like that." Mopsy's voice grunted.

"Aw what do you know anyways?" she replied stuffing her puppet hand, along with Mopsy, in her pocket.

The candi's she earned ad boosted her rank and in turn she was able to train for a new ability. She was eager to use Mimsy during a fight. The lifelike wooden copy of her rested gently in her coffin. Maei was giddy after perfecting it and now she had the authority and the training to actually use her favorite puppet.

In a flash she entered the outside campus and crossed the green grassy fields over to the boat docks. "Hi hi!" she smiled as she neared the transport ship.

Headmaster Krell

The desert swirled with a thick purple fog. 6 days of non-stop travels had brought them through sweltering sun and gritty dirt. Krell almost second guessed himself, to bringing students out to a place like this. He had no choice. He couldn't do this alone. Eliane would know how to effectively lead her team, that he could count on.

The swirls of purple smoke got thicker with each step. He knew they were getting close and paused a bit. He'd found the body lying somewhere in these sands, but not the source. He held his hand back to signal a pause and a water break. They would all need to show their full potential, more than likely.

"Everyone check yourselves, make sure you're ready and listen to your group leader." he said before taking a gulp of water from a bottle he'd retrieved from his satchel.

He handed the team a bottle for themselves before blinking a few times ahead of them. He had not seen it before. It was a ship that was rather large, maybe as large as a small city. It was half sunken into the desert, long buried. There were wears and tears on it, not from age, but from battle and it's hollow insides whistled with the dark wind. This was what he wanted. There was something here, he could feel it, the presence of a powerful wizard.

"It looks like we've reached out destination. Arm yourselves." he said before walking towards a gaping hole in the vessel with peeling painted words beside it spelling the name Diaga.

OOC: Not sure yet on if the ship left the port or not. So this post will be edited once I get that intel

Jack Mizer

The first week of Classes was something close to a pain for him compared to hunting shades during the dance. Easily said, not one person managed to beat Mizer easy mode. He had a lot of work to do. But setting that aside, he was asked by Stella to come to the transport docks and prepare for the mission. This was what he was literally born to do. Making sure he had everything on him, Jack jumped out of his window and landed. Many of the students ignored him, already acquainted to his method of entry and exit to his room. Quickly running to the docks, he is met the others and entered the ship.

---Eile Mires---
The first week of classes was ok for Eile. She managed to get a hang of her skills and even learned a new skill for combat. She was back in the Dominus dorms when she was notified by the Student head herself that she was selected to go on a mission and to get to the transport docks. She didn't need to pack anything since everything she used was a skill. After telling her Loli cat girl of a roommate to not mess with her stuff while she was out, Eile quickly left the dorm and out of the tower. After a few minutes, Eile left the courtyard and soon found the transport ship. She saw Maei joining the ship. Shrugging Eile entered the ship herself.

Dominus classes were boring as usual. Ophelia had been hoping it would become just a little more interesting, but clearly, even that was too much to wish for. Rather than rot in class, Ophelia began to think about recent events. Who would have expected that the Shades would counterattack in this manner? She knew something was up from the message that Lyra sent out, but she had not expected it to turn out this bad. As the teacher droned on, Ophelia resisted the urge to cringe at the thought of Lyra's possible reaction. While on that note, she took solace in the fact that the mission team that she had been assigned to did not include the DisCom head.

The lesson drew to its slow-paced close after what seemed like an eternity, and Ophelia, after bidding her classmates farewell, headed for the docks where she was expected to join her team on the transport ship.As she approached, she began to feel more and more excited. This would be her first mission in this school term and that thought alone was enough. It didn't seem to matter so much that they do not seem to have a concrete plan for the mission, or even the fact that there may be groups of students to save from an even larger group of shades in a rather dangerous place; or even the fact that some of her classmates had been kidnapped. She barely knew any of them, and even though the rest of her classmates were pleading for her to save them, her response was mere lip service, void of an actual feeling of concern and empathy.

Fortunately for them, perhaps, a mission was a mission, and even if Ophelia was genuinely more excited than serious, she was most certain that this mission will not fail. Not on her watch, anyway. The docks was quite the sight, as usual. The storm clouds did little to mar the beauty of the imagery that Ophelia observed. While many see it as an ill foreboding, at least in terms of the weather, Ophelia saw a change in an otherwise dull atmosphere. A change that brought with it the drums of an orchestra, albeit inconsistent in its rhythm and pace. But no matter, she realized, noticing Stella already on board the ship.

Ophelia approached her team leader from behind and stopped, waiting around till she decided to acknowledge her.

Elaine Chevalier

Usually, the first week of classes would be a breeze, something that would set the tone for the rest of the semester. Instead, her first week of classes were spent marching for the past 6 days in the desert, where the difference in temperature, from sweltering heat to bitter cold, flipped around like a person's mood swings. Although Elaine was calm about it in the early parts of the moment, even she, after having been traveling for some time, had felt quite uneasy. Still this was a mission of the highest priority, and on top of that, she was in the presence of Headmaster Krell.

It was on this last day of travel that she would see herself surrounded by purple smoke, that all too familiar sign of Shade activity. But the question remained, was it still active? As the purple smoke got thicker and thicker, to the point where it was near impossible to get a good bearing on the positions of others, Krell stopped for a moment for a water break.

"Everyone check yourselves, make sure you're ready and listen to your group leader."

Elaine knew full well of the situation at hand. Although Krell was with them, she was still the group leader, and responsible for the party's role in this mission. As Elaine drank the cool, refreshing drink of water, she saw Krell blink a few times in suspense, "What is it headmaster? Hostiles?" She asked curiously, just wondering what is going on. But as she turned around, she looked quite surprised at the discovery, it was a ship, quite large indeed, but it seemed to be left behin, damaged and with it's starboard sticking out of the desert. It was a testament, or rather a monument to old sins.

"It looks like we've reached out destination. Arm yourselves."

Elaine would draw one of her swords, holding it in one hand, as she did so, she would begin to give out her orders. "Hanzel you must use your firearms to cover our rear, we cannot afford to be caught by surprise. Flick, I'm putting you and Delijah on support. I will entrust you both to help the two of us in both offense and healing support."

"Aaaah... such a nice day. Sucks that I'm lost..."

A boy stood in the Great Hall, blinking down at a map. He stood at a decent height of six foot, with a relaxed build. Across his back was a naginata, made entirely of titantium, blade down at the ground. He stood relaxed, despite the previous statement. He looked up from the map, looking across the hall. Tony sighed, shaking his head.

"Man, the Great Hall alone is bigger then my entire school. Where am I supposed to go..."

Shrugging, he rolled up the map, and it disappeared anime pocket style. He decided to just roam forward, hands behind his head, whistling. Someone would eventually approach him, and then he could figure out how to get to class. Hopefully, anyway.

OOC: Niuuu Oli! Its von Marseille! She isnt a frenchie! Btw, what time is it? Morning? After noon?

Escaflowne Zraith

Escaflowne's inherent laziness, unchecked by authoritative discipline, had turned the girl into a slug. Whilst the Arma classes wasn't so bad (for anyone really considering they all should be physically capable of actual combat), Escaflowne still enjoyed slouching about as if she was exhausted. The time in which she COULD spend lying sprawled on the school roof, however, was close to zero. The piled on top of school work and StuCo responsibilities, by the time she was free, the sun was beginning to set. Today was no different. They had various jobs to do. The one consolation Escaflowne could see was that her group had a teacher there. That meant that she could deflect most responsibility onto him. Her group mates, on the other hand, was not someone she would say she knew. Elie, she remembered from their arrival, helping her defeat the huge monster, but Maeinardi was a blank for her.

Escaflowne was early to the docks, but Phelda was even earlier. It was to be expected from such a diligent girl. REgardless of how she is usually, this mission was critical and very, very important. The dangers on these missions were very real, so at most, Escaflowne may crack a joke here and there, but she wont screw around.

"Hi hi!"

Maeinardi called out to those gathered at the docks. She appeared to have arrived at the same time as her, which was good. Oddball or not, at least she wasn't tardy. Neither was Elie and Jack, who was already on the ship. Escaflowne responded to her teammates greeting as she boarded the ship.

Yo. Mornin'. You're pretty chirpy this early in the morning.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Delijah Fei and Hanzel von Marseille
Both of them couldn't believe it. They were shacked up in the same team. Of all those available, they were picked and thrown in together. Not that it stopped Hanzel from waiting at Delijah's door and walked down to the docks together to meet with Eliane and the Headmaster. Of course, the usual greeting was nonsensical bickering as both resented the company of the other (not really). However, all of it dissipated once they began their mission. Even if they didnt want to, the desert environment would have forced them to conserve strength. Six days they spent marching through the blistering heat, and Delijah was taking it a bit worse than Hanzel. Black clothing and hair was a poor combination for the desert sun. Luckily, Hanzel lent her a shawl of sort and plopped it over the girl.
On the sixth day, purple smoke began to rise and became thicker and thicker as they went further in. It was a surefire sign of shade activity.
"Everyone check yourselves, make sure you're ready and listen to your group leader."
That meant trouble. In an instant, Hanzel cocked the Saber in her hand and held it in a ready position, its stock resting on her shoulder. Since it was against Shades, she loaded FMJ rather than the LTL rounds. After all, there was no need for mercy. In front was a hulking ship.
A ship in the desert? How odd...
Psh. Not that odd. For all we know, this could have been a sea a million years ago.
I dont think there was ships like this a million years ago.
Its a figure of speech. I meant it as saying a very long time ago, you dummy.
Why, you.... take that ba...
Both of them was aobut to keep it going, but quickly remembered where they were and who they were with, which quickly shut them both up.
"It looks like we've reached out destination. Arm yourselves."
"Hanzel you must use your firearms to cover our rear, we cannot afford to be caught by surprise. Flick, I'm putting you and Delijah on support. I will entrust you both to help the two of us in both offense and healing support."
Roger. I'll keep them off your back.
Alrighty. Support it is. Right behind you Headmaster, Ms Chevalier
Hanzel immediately moved to the rear of the group and side walked with her head watching the rear. Pulling out her wallet, she swiped the Tier I card and instantly, Sieghilde and Flugel popped up.
Need a panoramic view display.
Yes Ma'am. Installed.
Her HUD lit up in front of her face and the virtual screen space above her forehead turned into a 180 degree rear view mirror. This would hve been disorientating for recruits, but Hanzel was unfazed by it. From here, she could walk backwards and still be able to survey the situation at the main group. It also scanned the floor behind her and gave a slight yellow outline to objects, just so she wouldn't tumble over something.
Jack Mizer
Jack turned to see everyone in his group there. From what he read from the files, Eile was a Dominus student with a very useful ability to change from melee to range to what seems to be magic on the fly. Everyone else was primary melee based, himself included. That would mean that Eile would be s huge advantage and disadvantage at the same time. He decided to speak with the group.
"Ok Group 1. I have read the files on everyone here. Needless to say, out of everyone here, Miss Mires is the only one with Range capabilities. So if she goes down, we will suffer a major setback in fighting capabilities. Regardless, we move and fight as a single unit. Introduce yourselves to your fellow teammates. They may be the person you either thank for saving your life or the body you will have to walk over when they die." Jack muttered looking at the group.
----Eile Mires---
"Ok Group 1. I have read the files on everyone here. Needless to say, out of everyone here, Miss Mires is the only one with Range capabilities. They may be the person you either thank for saving your life or the body you will have to walk over when they die."
"So much for the 'do not die on me' portion of that speech." Eile replied dryly as she looked at Maei and the gothic girl.
"I won't say that since it is already a given." Eile heard Jack say that to her.
None the less, Eile sighed as she cleared her throat
.
"I'm Eile Mires. Maei already knows me from the dance last week. Class Roulette!" Eile muttered.
Nine cards rose around her as she grabbed two cards. The cards shattered as her Sig Sausers and her alchemy bag appeared on her hip.
"Ranger and Alchemist eh." Eile whispered before sitting down.
Lukas Edwards:
Time had passed since that first night, since Lukas had blatantly made a fool out of himself by both being late to a needed fight and doing haphazardous and generally bad job of monitoring the party guests. His rap sheet was definitely below par. But, Lukas had spent the huge majority of his time attempting to improve these things by doing different tasks: Identifying Shade habits, their movements, “getting to know” some of his fellow peers(Or more, checking out their files) and- within that short space of time- Lukas had actually improved in his indentification skills, albeit slightly.
On the other hand, the late nights had taken their toll on Lukas’s eyes and face: he looked slightly gaunt, with the hint of rings around his eyes. His yawn was the first indication of his arrival, a tired call from his maw. He’d barely remembered his group- or more, the names of his group. Of course Lukas knew Ophelia. He’d spoken to her on the first night, and the two of them were members in the Disco. Otherwise… He knew the other two were females and he believed they were StuCo members. Ironically, he never went over the files of the people whom he was paired with.
Eventually, he made his way onto the ship. His stroll was evenly paced- a cool and collected stroll. His attire was that of his usual, with the added addition of a dark coloured coat. He’d also opted to bring his blade along- something he hadn’t been doing the past week. Lukas made his way up the docks and onto the ship. His eyes scouted out the only member of his team that he could actually recall- that being Ophelia. With another yawn, he made his way over there. It seemed like this was an exercise to help out captured students… Or something like that. The way this school seemed to help their students was a mixed bag: Ready to swipe them from death, but leave another guy lost in on campus.
Lukas had seen that other fellow and honestly, he just didn’t want to help. Lukas’s personal motto referring to Eureka: “If you’d gotten into this school, you’re a big boy or girl. You can find your own way around”. Needless to say, Lukas was never the personality of the year when he was in regular schooling…
With that, Lukas’s head darted to the right. He’d picked up Ophelia’s head. Without a moments break, he sped over to the group in something of an awkward fast-walk. Lukas hadn’t rushed so the mission could begin. He rushed because ear-bashings really, really weren’t his thing.
“Edwards here, reporting for duty…”
With a sardonic mutter to the apparent leader (As according to Ophelia’s place behind here, whom he stood beside) Lukas quietly sunk into his spot. With slight shifting and the hint of a scowl- Lukas wasn’t impressed. He just wanted to get this over and done with.
(OOC: Makin up for lost students. Happy New Year n such! ^_^)
Phelda Stella Marx
The boarding whistle screeched across the island.
It was long pass the time limit and the students who had come seemed to be the only ones ready. There were a lot of things going on campus lately. Stella still worried about Alyss. She wasn't surprised the girl had chickened out. "This looks like everyone." she assured the captain of the transport ship.
"Aye Miss." Nodded the school groundskeeper.
She could have sworn the captain was someone different. The EA groundskeeper could often be seen in peculiar places and this was no exception. Today his pilot goggles and outfit made him look the part, and Stella never questioned his fighting skills one bit. She kept the silent pilot in mind as she observed the passengers. Jack's team had come in full and promising. Stella's would be just as strong with three members. The ship lifted to the sky and drifted away from the large island of Eureka. At school they were merely students but away, they were soldiers. It would take no time at all for the small transport ship to reach the Shade carrier. It had been a week. The fate of the students on board was currently unknown.
Recalling the plans in her head. The folder of information everyone had received had been vague. Stella was beginning to see that the headmaster was often very vague when it came to information and she didn't like it. As far as she knew both teams were to infiltrate: One to secure the missing students, the other to take out the large shade carrier. The battle ahead would require strength, stealth and all of the knowledge they had gained.
She spied Lukas and Ophelia. She, recognized them both but never remembered ever interacting. "Hi, I'm Stella." she smiled an awkward half smile.
They both seemed like serious people. And she had slightly begun to regret her choice in teams. However Lukas was nice to look at time and again. And Ophelia could compete with her in looks, but her ego would never allow her to see the inferiority of her own beauty. "I wish Alyss could have made it but I guess it's just us three now."
She realized they were all Dominus students. Probably very well balanced in battle, what a team! Acha! For a moment she'd almost forgotten all about the impending danger and the fate of her own sister aboard the enemy's ship.
Headmaster Krell
The ship was larger than he'd imagined. It was almost as large as the Academy. A shining light of his own magic lit up the passage of the dark ship. The halls were rusted and empty and stank a foul smell. Two parts rot, three parts sewer. The large ship slanted a bit and walking through slanted hallways was half the battle. Krell wanted answers.
"Stay close." he whispered, reaching a large iron door.
There seemed to be a sticky red goo oozing slowly from it's cracks like jello. Coagulating blood.
He opened the large door slowly, the red goo beneath it quieted it's rusty squeaks, and stepped inside. It was a large room. He'd beckoned for the others to follow him. It was a large room and looked like it could have been a gymnasium. The scene inside, however was not pleasant. Corpses were on the floor. Corpses of young children, and older men. Some were uniformed as school children, others military officers. All were dead with faint bits of flesh.
"What in the world..." He knelt down near one of the bodies examining it.
It had been shot through the head. The bullet was still lodged at the back of the skull. But what caused his flesh to leave in chunks. It took mere seconds to realize it. "Eliane does this look like a bite mark to y-wait where's Flick?"
He searched and searched the room. it seemed like they were in a den of wild hungry animals. "Flick report!" still nothing- and before he could say another word a skinny arm tugged at the iron door shutting it quick. Cannibals? "Someone's here with us. And it looks like they're hungry. Arm yourselves."
The objective had changed. They had to find the missing student. Krell would have sent Eliane's team out to find him, but he did not know if they were up to the task. "A member of your team has gone missing it seems. Would you like to search for him?" he asked Eliane.
He was not a man of morals, but he would not pass up the opportunity to search for a possibly dead student.
Maeinardi Reyes
Yo. Mornin'. You're pretty chirpy this early in the morning.
"Well it's the first time I've been recommended for a mission in years!" she turned and the black coffin on her back opened up with her actual self leaping out. "That and I finally get to test out Mimzy. Isn't she strong? She can carry tons cause she's wood."
She knocked on the wooden duplicate of herself which now slumped to the ground. It took a while for her to stuff the puppet back in her coffin. She followed the boarding whistle onto the ship and before she knew it they were up in the air. She popped a peppermint in her mouth before enjoying the view of the mountains below. "Don't lean too close over the railing girlie. You wanna go fallin to your death?"
"You act too much like girl bunny." she giggled at her puppet before pausing to overhear a conversation with the captain of the ship and one of the StuCo.
"We have to do WHAT?!" she heard.
"This is a stealth mission."
"But jump, from this height?! We can't even see the ship in this fog!"
"I can fly close up and get us all caught if you like."
"..."
The conversation was brief but she'd heard enough. She'd tightened the casket upon her back and found Elie. "Are you ready? It looks like you're the important one one the group huh? With all those ranged attacks. Oh! I just heard we get to jump off this ship too, from really really high-"
"Excuse me teams. Your stop is directly below the ship. It is rather large so I expect you'll hit the top of the large carrier on your way down. I suggest finding way in through the roof. I'll be waiting for your return."
"Told ya! It's just like in that movie with the secret agents and that pear and that lady who wasn't really a lady!" She gazed over the railing below only to catch a small glimpse of the ugly ship.
Not too long after Lukas' arrival, or at least in the time that was sufficient for Ophelia's self-absorbed musings, the boarding whistle began to screech across the floating island. Stella began to address the school groundskeeper just then, leaving Ophelia to take a last glance at the academy. Although she doubted she would be gone for long, she still looked around anyway, taking solace in the sight of ship staff preparing the ship for departure. She also noticed Lukas and his gaunt appearance. It roused her curiosity, but in front of her leader, she was hesitant to make small talk. After a brief moment of staring, she gave up and returned her attention to Stella.
Stella, on her part, appeared to be checking on her members. Ophelia couldn't help but notice the contrast in Stella's seemingly interested gaze at Lukas and then the less than pleased vibes that seem to emanate from Stella's gaze on herself. It was another curious detail, one she was again hesitant to talk about. "Hi, I'm Stella." An awkward smile adorns her face. Ophelia could immediately see her discomfort at this first meeting. Nevertheless, she paid it no heed.
"Acknowledged,"
Ophelia replied instinctively, cupping her hands over her mouth the instant she said it. For a brief moment, she appeared sheepish but she quickly regained her composure."Uh.. H-hello, I am Ophelia. At your service."
Ophelia was biting her lips, averting her gaze as she directed a volley of curses inwards. Her time with Lyra must have rubbed off her. To think she would respond with her usual affirmation, and in such a business-like tone! She could only hope Stella would not be harsh enough to consider this mistake one deserving of some punishment. Lyra would, she supposed, and it wouldn't be pleasant. Ophelia almost shivered at the thought.
Jack Mizer
Jack kept quiet as he went to the window. The ship has taken off and was quickly making it's way to the ship. The air felt nice as he took a deep breath. After enjoying the air for a bit, Jack overheard a StuCo and the pilot talking to each other. From what was said, it would sound like everyone would be jumping and considering the height, he would not be able to land without taking some serious damage upon landing. He decided to look for something to slow down his acceleration. But before he could even get a chance to start looking, the ship came into view. Shaking his head, Jack walked back into the area as he pulled out his sword.
"Everyone, prepare for the mission. We have arrived at reach the ship. Escaflowne, front and center." Jack muttered.
Eile Mires
"Are you ready? It looks like you're the important one one the group huh? With all those ranged attacks. Oh! I just heard we get to jump off this ship too, from really really high-"
Eile sighed as she didn't want to be the center of attention on the mission.
"It's not like I want to be the center of protection. But jumping off this ship, that sounds interesting. I doubt we'll actually have to jump." Eile muttered looking at maei.
"Excuse me teams. Your stop is directly below the ship. It is rather large so I expect you'll hit the top of the large carrier on your way down. I suggest finding way in through the roof. I'll be waiting for your return."
"Told ya! It's just like in that movie with the secret agents and that pear and that lady who wasn't really a lady!
"You watched too much movies." Eile muttered as she sheathed her guns and pulled out a handful of wind crystals before walking over to Jack who was on the deck near the railing.
Escaflowne Zraith
"Well it's the first time I've been recommended for a mission in years! That and I finally get to test out Mimzy. Isn't she strong? She can carry tons cause she's wood."
It was nice that Maenardi was optimistic and enthusiastic, but she couldn't really say about her lack of experience or how rusty she was. She just hoped that things didnt tumble out of hand.
"Ok Group 1. I have read the files on everyone here. Needless to say, out of everyone here, Miss Mires is the only one with Range capabilities. So if she goes down, we will suffer a major setback in fighting capabilities. Regardless, we move and fight as a single unit. Introduce yourselves to your fellow teammates. They may be the person you either thank for saving your life or the body you will have to walk over when they die."
Escaflowne couldn't help but snort to herself in her mind at Mr Mizer's speech. Straight laced, clean cut and incredibly militaristic. Rather fitting for the robotic like being, without a sense of humour or attempt at lightening the mood. It would have been extremely bad if his speech crushed Maenardi's confidence. Regardless, the tactic that Mizer decided to go with was turtling in and blast out with ranged attacks while everyone kind of babysat. It wasn't a tactic that Escaflowne was particularly good at. Her MO was always all out, balls out (metaphorically of course) offense and mow down people, taking the fight to her enemies. That wasn't to say she wasn't capable of it. There was no choice but to go along. As instructed, the green girl introduced herself first.
"I'm Eile Mires. Maei already knows me from the dance last week. Class Roulette!"
With a slight flourish, Elie summoned cards and from them, summoned two pistols and a bag of alchemic apparatus and goods.
"Ranger and Alchemist eh.
So a mixture of technological weapon and magic. Good versatility.
Out loud, Escaflowne introduced herself, resting her hand on her swords.
Well, my turn i guess. Name's Escaflowne Zraith. For those that didnt attended the ball, i am the StuCo Rep that organises and plan events. As for my style, I'm mostly centered around my trio of swords and mixed bags of skills that really fall into no real category. I guess i go where im needed.
Further introduction was halted by the arrival of their insertion point. From the murmurs that she could pick up, it seems to be an aerial insertion. Adrenaline coursed through her veins and Escaflowne couldn't hide the huge grin plastered across her face.
"Excuse me teams. Your stop is directly below the ship. It is rather large so I expect you'll hit the top of the large carrier on your way down. I suggest finding way in through the roof. I'll be waiting for your return."
"Everyone, prepare for the mission. We have arrived at reach the ship. Escaflowne, front and center."
Right here Sir...
Without fear, Escaflowne planted a feet on the rail and peered over into the abyss. They were directly over the enemy ship. The imaginary red jump light flicked to green and Escaflowne's impulsiveness rammed into over gear. Effortlessly and without waiting, she stepped up and balanced on the railing, turning towards both teams and smiled broadly.
... and if you don't mind.... I'll be off first and try and clear an LZ. Keep in radio touch. See you down there Stella! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In an adrenaline filled state of mind after such a long stagnation from the holidays, Esaflowne jumped. The last thing everyone saw was Escaflowne pushing off with both of her legs , back flipped off the ship with a cheeky wink of the eye and a snappy salute, before going into a controlled aerial tumble. The sky and cloud flew by in a kaleidoscope before Escaflowne straightened out her descent, streamlining herself. The captain wasn't lieing when he said that they would meet the top of the ship on the way down. Waiting for the very last seconds of thrill, Escaflowne deployed her chute, flaring it for several seconds before applying all the vector power she could muster. The result was a smooth sliding landing as she detached her chute just before the ship. Its white bulbous surface was weird as Esacflowne surveyed where she landed, Niidai ready in her hand. The surface was devoid of any enemies, but that was kind of obvious, given that their ship was in flight. However, that was not to say that there was ano hatch in which infantry could clamber up and repel boarders like themselves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Delijah Fei and Hanzel von Marseille

The entire ship was eerily silent, though that should be expected of an old wreck. The size of it, on the other hand, was a different matter as is the smell. Delijah had no problems with the gradients of the hallways, nor the stench, nor the trek. After all, she has spent a good deal of her youth clambering the mountains of China. So much so that her family at times said she was part mountain goat. Hanzel on the other hand, suffered. Walking sideways was taking a toll on her. Already, she has almost tripped and tumbled down a slope several times. The only good thing was that she was spared Delijah's poorly hidden laughs if she had saw her. She was too preoccupied with the job on her hand to pay any attention to Hanzel's folly.

"Stay close."

With almost trained speed and efficiency, Hanzel and Delijah tightened up the distance within the group as to prevent anyone from being cut off. Hanzel took cover behind some rubbles and trained her gun down where they came from whilst everyone else occupied themselves with what was in front of them, the door. As the Headmaster entered, Delijah tapped Hanzel a signal on the back, telling her that they were on the move. Once inside, the smell was explained. Corpses littered the entire area, with bodies of all types, all mostly rotted.

"What in the world..."

Despite the niggling feeling of wanting to examine how bad this was, Hanzel concentrated on her task of being the rear guard and trying to discern any movements in the areas further from them.

"Eliane does this look like a bite mark to y-wait where's Flick?"

He was with us before we entered. I am sure and he didn't walk pass Hanzel.

"Flick report!"

The sudden disappearance of Flick made Delijah uneasy. Flick wasn't an inexperienced newbie. He wouldn't have been chosen by Headmaster Krell if he was and the fact that he went missing meant that there was something dangerous around. Delijah closed in closer to the group, keeping ehr back to her comrades as she continued to scan before Hanzel called out.

Sir! Someone by the door! They closed it!

"Someone's here with us. And it looks like they're hungry. Arm yourselves."

The headmaster didn't need her warning as he himself spotted it. A bubbling feeling of dread swam inside Hanzel. They were locked inside a room, with a friend missing. They were at least 5 days from the closest reinforcement and there are unknown hostiles in their immediate vicinity.

A member of your team has gone missing it seems. Would you like to search for him?"

There was no need to think for an answer. Both of the diminuitive girls replied together.

We are ready for your command, whatever it may be. We're prepared for any search and rescue plan.

Elaine Chevalier

The interior of the ship reeked to high heaven, as if she was trekking through a sewer in one of Gallica's finest cities. Following ahead of the Headmaster, Elaine continued moving forward, not trying to let the stink get to her.

"Stay close."

There was a large door, with some weird red goo coming from the cracks. Elaine leaned forward to get a sample of what it was, and upon looking at it closely, and the faint smell, she confirmed that it was blood and with it's jelly like substance, it meant someone in there must have died a while ago. Watching Krell open the door she would look within. It was within that the source of the smell was confirmed. Corpses, lots of them were within this room. At best they've been in this room for weeks, maybe months now, since it seemed that they have not been fully decomposed.

"What in the world..."

"What is it?" She asked Krell as he was inspecting one of the dead bodies, she looked over at the corpse, and saw that the head was practically all but blown off, most likely from gunfire. But there was more to it, there was a bite mark on here as well. Could someone truly be eating these people?

"Eliane does this look like a bite mark to y-wait where's Flick?"

He was with us before we entered. I am sure and he didn't walk pass Hanzel.

"Flick report!"

Elaine looked around the room, but it seemed that Flick wasn't around. "Merde, where the heck are you?" Elaine thought to herself as she scanned the immediate area, it did not help that the door would suddenly close behind everyone's back. This too made Elaine fill with dread. The thought of a teammate dying by her side did not make Elaine at all confident of the situation.

Sir! Someone by the door! They closed it!

"Someone's here with us. And it looks like they're hungry. Arm yourselves."

She did not need any further warning to that, drawing her sword to confront whatever hostiles there were in the area. But there was still Flick to deal with.

A member of your team has gone missing it seems. Would you like to search for him?"

We are ready for your command, whatever it may be. We're prepared for any search and rescue plan.

On that note, finding her fellow team member is important. "Alright." Elaine breathed heavily, trying to focus on the situation. "Once we find an exit, Hanzel and I will go and search for Flick, Delijah, you stay with the Headmaster." She hoped that she had made the right decision. "Be careful you two."

Jack Mizer and Eile Mires

Jack and Eile watched Escaflowne jump off the ship with some unnecessary flair to her jump. Eile smiled a bit as she pulled out a handful of wind crystals. Looking back to Maei, she called her out.

"Come on Maei. I'll see you at the ship." Eile muttered as she jumped over the railing and aligned herself with the ship's side before tossing the wind crystals at the ship's side.

The wind crystal shattered as it gave a blast of air, pushing Eile forward. The wind howled loudly in hear ears as she saw the ship growing larger in front of her. The green haired lady pulled out another handful of wind crystal. She saw Escaflowne land on the ship first as she tossed her crystals ahead of her. A sudden blast of wind shot up at her as she slowed down quickly enough to land safely. As soon as she landed on the deck, Eile pulled out both of her Sig Sausers and scanned the area.

Back on deck, Jack looked at Maeinardi .

"No time to look around. Let's go." Jack muttered with a ghost of a smile.

With that, Jack jumped out of the ship. Going into a spread eagle position, Jack slowed his decent down as he made his way to the ship. As soon as he reached 5 stories length from the landing ship, Jack straighten himself out and landed just in front of both girls. Pulling out his sword, Jack started looking for a hatch to allow them access.
