*Eureka Academy:Second Semester*

Raistlin Majere
Now that Raistlin had thought about it, it was today that missions would be put up. There was a certain happiness in signing up for missions. Of course, he would sign up for the most dangerous one and take it. He even had a plan to loophole that whole “two miles” business he had to comply to. If the mission took him more than two miles away, he would simply finish his current project and have so much fun. Taking out his phone, he looked at the online bulletin board.

The missions, of course, looked fun, but there was one in particular that struck his eye: Trouble in Paradise. Without a doubt they would be going through a portal, and it would take them miles away in all probability. With a smile on his face, he signed up for the mission, it looked as if he would definitely be finishing up that new project.

As he put his phone back in his pocket, Elaine walked into the room. “Good morning, Raistlin. How was your evening?” Raistlin smiled, “almost completely uneventful, yours?”

Alyss Mithrandir
Alyss had been sitting on the couch for a few minutes, but no one had come out for her to greet. There were rumors that the school would have missions up today, and she really didn’t want to be late for them. Even though she would spend most of her time today in the library, she still wanted to try out a few new things. Even though she really wanted to meet her roommate, she also really wanted to hurry up and grab a mission or two. Apologizing in her head, she left the dorm room and locked the door behind her, but not before grabbing her swords. After all, it would save her the trip of having to go back and get them later in case she needed them later.

She ran out of the main doom hall, and quickly left for the bulletin board. Once there, she took a look at all the perspective missions. Trouble in Paradise looked scary… so that was out of the question. There was also the mission called “Guards”… that one looked to be interesting, and it seemed as if she would be with other Red Sect students. Although, it looked only slightly less scary than Trouble in Paradise… the airship mission looked like fun though, and there was a possibility that teachers would be on board…

Alyss smiled as she signed up for Guards and the airship mission. Little did she know, she had made a mistake. While she had indeed signed up for guards, she wasn’t looking hard enough at the mission with the airships. She had just signed up for Trouble in Paradise, and didn’t even know it. Walking over to the nearest vending machine, she bought a small bag of chips and a coke. It was going to have to settle for breakfast. She opened the bag, and started eating as she walked to the library.

Ecthelion Anwamane
“Airship race, hmm?” Ecthelion really liked the sound of that as he looked on the online mission board on his phone. Without hesitation he signed up for it. There was also another mission that was exclusive to teachers… but he didn’t know who the other teacher that signed up for it was, nor did he care. He wasn’t here to get to know them; he was here to get to know the students he would be teaching. He would only sign up for it if requested, but as of now, it wasn’t his problem.

As he entered the cafeteria, he smelled eggs, bacon, and other assortments of great tasting breakfast food that was all part of a balanced breakfast. Grabbing a tray, he walked over to the line. “One of everything,” he ordered. He was starving… I really should have eaten something last night…

Sunlight hit Orion's face as it came up in the morning. Yawning, he opened his eyes and observed his surrounding. He had fallen asleep on the roof, not bothering to get down to his room, and so was woken up by dawn. Nature's most basic alarm system. Orion decided that first he would check his computer for the missions. He scrambled over to the edge of the roof, hung off it, and then swung inside his window. Landing neatly on the floor, he adjusted his throwing knifes as they were jolted slightly by minor fall and yesterday's activity. That done, he went over to his computer and logged on.

Doobie doo... Trouble in Paradise seemed good. It was a mission requiring good fighters, and Orion had little doubt he was qualified in that category as a black sect student. He signed up, and then turned the computer off as he went over to his window. Stairs were so slow... He clambered out, hung from the bottom of it, counted to three, and then he released, falling down. He would catch himself at the bottom of the second story window. At that point, he would release again, and at the top of the first window he kicked the wall to kill most of his momentum and flip backwards to land on the ground in a crouch. Standing, he brushed himself off before turning and walking towards the cafeteria.

Athena entered the cafeteria, rolling an apple in the palm of her hand. She would, of course, be offering herself up for one of the missions that were to be put up today. Not only because it was good for a Disciplinary Committee member to join in on activities like this, but it kept her physically fit. After all, there was only so much classes could do.

She didn't meet much on mission mornings, preferring to have a light meal-in this case a simple apple- so she didn't get bloated during the potentially physically taxing mission to come in the afternoon. A bigger meal post mission would make up for it.

She bit into her apple and took a seat, rolling the apple around in her palm with a bored expression on her face. Right now she would happily talk to anyone who came her way. Even though she wasn't the warmest person, even Athena needed the occasional social interaction.

Prince Horatio Nelson Charles the Third was lounging in his tank, chilling out and conserving energy before tackling the problems of the day. But first, a smoke… ooh and some food… Some food would be good…

Putting his monocle on Charles left his big tank for HMS Victory, before rolling himself to the kitchen where he availed himself to a large helping of China salad with a curry of tuna. Say what you want about those bloody Frenchies, but they do know food. As long as they aren’t trying to convince the world that frogs make for fine dining. One healthy portion of food and maybe –only maybe mind- a glass or two of very good Chateau Barbanau’s Rosé Provençal L’Instant, a bit early in the day perhaps but a meal this fine would be wasted without some wine. And besides, it’s only early if your body doesn’t break down alcohol at a superhuman rate, he’d be stone cold sober before he had to teach his class...

WAAAAAAAAGH CLASS!!!! Nelson thought, causing a mild explosion when he didn’t clamp down on his thoughts fast enough, SHIT it simply will not do to be late on my first day! Quickly grabbing his hat and watch he hopped back into the victory and said about breaking the land speed record for psionically propelled fish tanks on wheels.

-=-=-=-

Waking up and quickly rolling out of her bed Nova was awake and armed before hitting the floor, having been woken up by gunfire and explosions to many times for this to be anything other than sheer force of habit. Not even stopping to get something more decent then a night gown on she was out in her kitchen finding the wreckage of what used to be her kitchen, burst water mains making a mess of things.

Grumbling under her breath about how annoying royalty could be and how unfair it was that she was hooked up with a fucking psionic octopus... Grumbling might be petty but it did make her feel better. A long warm shower later, and there was ALOT of singing, die Zauberflötethis morning. A good thirty minutes later she was all towelled off and once more UTTERLY appreciative of ATMA and his help in making her life just that little bit easier when she walked back into her repaired and cleaned kitchen to find a big steaming pile of pancakes, the kind with chocolate chips, tonnes of whipped cream and B&J’s vanilla icecream, and fresh strawberries. Where he had managed to get fresh strawberries in this season would forever be a mistery. Digging in with gusto she mumbled around a full mouth of pancake and cappuccino she said “Whatever the hell i’m paying you dude it isn’t enough!”

At which point her stereo turned on saying in his clipped british accent “I believe you will find that you are not paying me, period.”

“As I said! Not enough! Now do you have some more of these pancakes? They are truely exquisite! So what’s on the agenda for today?”

“Nelson had his first class today, which is presumably why he left the kitchen in such a state... Your class is tomorrow at 0900 but you might wish to spend some time getting a curriculum in order... Other than that your docket is empty as far as i know, and as you know, i make it my business to know...” Atma said implying a lot more then you’d think a disembodied voice at 39.500km altitude capable off...

“Well i guess I’m already late enough as is... Although I don’t think I actually HAVE a contract with these people that mandates when I am expected to be there. Guess I had better get dressed and such...” Nova said leaving the kitchen with the remains of her destroyed breakfast. Walking to her closet nova selected a rather demure two piece grey suit with a hemline well below the knee... Pinned her hair up in a bun on the back of her head and considered going full tilt with the librarian look but decided to leave the glasses at home and instead strapped her case on her back. A thin 4 by 12 by 48 inch aluminium case with a piano hinge with two straps on one side that kept the case centred over her spine and with a pair of matching stockings and sensible shoes, with but the hint of a heel, she was off to work.

-=-=-=-

At the same time not that far from her a fish tank on wheels was RACING towards his class, jumping up and down stairs with water acting most peculiarly, landing in the tank when it should seriously be anywhere but in the tank. Having almost reached his class room, after almost running into a group of freshmen who only just dodged out of the way in time at a psionic shout of “Out of my way land lovers! ROYALTY COMING THROUGH!!!! And I am in a hurry!” Reaching his class room just before the bell indicating that class was in session to find, rather to his immense dismay, a totally empty class... He had not caused this much havoc and behaved in such an utterly unbecoming manner to find an EMPTY CLASS ROOM! Blowing a big stream of bubbles through his pipe he decided he had best wait... He had no idea how long he was expected to give his students before he just considered the cause lost...

-=-=-=-

Walking into school at about 1100, Nova saw that there was a mission that she would be quite suited for... Not that she cared about the portals, the IT-X and the Void engineers had cracked them a whiles ago but were wondering if it served the static reality to keep them in place versus keeping them open. However getting a hold of the other copy of the data might be worth something to someone... So she plopped her name down... That airship race could be cool as well, if a rather silly way of getting the thing back, she would have just stolen the thing back with him on it... Putting her name on a list of "If you cant get enough people feel free to call me" which she thumb tacked to the paper...

And besides, she was bored...

Her chips were near empty as she got closer to the library. During the day time, the building looked much, much bigger and even more beautiful than when she had seen it at night. When the library was lit up in the fashion that it was currently in… it looked more like a small castle that just so happened to have a lot of books in it rather than a library. Even though she had explored it yesterday, she still felt in awe of it. The doors were open, so it appeared that the library was open for students.

However, she hadn’t touched her coke yet, and she didn’t want to take it inside. She instead sat on the outside of the Library on the stairs and cracked open her coke. Taking a sip, she “ahhh’d” as it went down. Alyss knew that it was bad for her… but she couldn’t help it if it tasted good. As she sat drinking her coke, she wondered if Rose would get there soon.

Etchelion Anwamane
Perhaps he should have been a little more… specific about “one of everything”. They placed a bright red apple on his tray, and even though he liked apples, it was his least favorite fruit. At least, the red ones were. Everyone worth their salt knew that red apples were largely inferior to their green brethren. Looking around, he perfectly balanced his tray with his left hand as he put on his sunglasses with his right. Now that he thought about it, he hadn’t spoken to one student since he had been here. By his own logic, he was not doing a good job as a teacher.

He noticed a brown haired student rolling an apple in her head. Considering that he didn’t want his apple, and she obviously enjoyed her apples, it was only logical that he offer her another apple. She could eat it or play with it for all he cared; he just wanted the apple off of his tray. Walking over to her, still balancing his tray with his left hand, he decided that she would be the first student he spoke to. “Greetings,” he said. “I’m a teacher here, and I noticed that you have an apple. I, not being a big fan of them, have an excessive need to get rid of the apple on my tray. Would you like it? I can assure you that it’s just an ordinary apple, I haven’t poisoned it…” There was a slight pause as he smiled in a joking type manner. “Or maybe I did, but you can be the judge of that.”

Nicolo Zorzi:

Nicolo was awake early in the morning, working to put his clothes on. Putting his cape on his shoulder around his sword and dagger, he looked at the schedule in question. He had checked his schedule, it appeared that he's having classes all day today, so whatever the case may be, it was going to be dull and boring. At least that's what was in the young Assassin's mind right now.

Nicolo climbed out of the second story window and landed safely on his feet like a cat. He was going to head over to the cafeteria to breakfast, and hopefully see a few people off to do their missions.

As for classes, Nicolo began to wonder what the teachers were like. After seeing so many fantastical creatures, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see teachers the same way too.

The rumbling in his stomach made him remember. "Okay, I need to eat something."

"Oh, the usual things." Elaine said, answering Raistlin's question. Pulling out her cellphone, she began registering for a mission involving an airship race. Being the daughter of a top-line pilot, she knows much about how flying works. Then again, it was an airship, one that defies all laws of aerodynamics. "I just have a mission to look forward to."

She wondered who was going to be going on the mission with her. She also was not familiar with the airships schematics, how fast it will be going, and if it will require armament. Nonetheless, this will be an interesting venture.

"Well Raistlin, coming for breakfast?"

Escaflowne Zraith

Escaflowne woke up 5:30 on the dot as usual. It always seem to kick into gear when she was at school nowadays, ever since the attack by Daiga. The events had made her realise that she could not coast on her current level of abilities. What was needed was a crash course of intensive training and serious studying of her magical abilities. Admittingly, Escaflowne knew that her wind abilities had taken a complete backseat since she had started school, opting for her swords. Without the slaving driving regime of her parents, Escaflowne had let her abilities slide into neglect. It was time to do something about it.

First things first however. Being butt naked, Escaflowne hurridely slipped on a pair of tracksuit clothes, a far cry from her usual uniform, and went for an hour jog around the school ground. Its crisp air felt good every time she breathed in, seemingly energizing her with every step. The view wasn't shabby either. Next was a full course of taichi for an hour. Tai Chi was said to be able to help invigorate Chi and nurture her magical powers, so an hour every second day would be ideal.

Come 8:00, Escaflowne was back into her grey uniform with her white blazer on her shoulder and she was out of her room. First course of action was to go to the StuCo room, see if any of her fellow members were there. Escaflowne stepped out from the portal door right next to Eliane while she registered for the Sky Diving mission.

Annnnnnd.... there. Done. Hey Eliane, Raistlin. Mornin'. Guess im not the last one then....

Checking the confirmation of her application for Sky Diving, Escaflowne spotted Eliane had also applied for the mission.

Oh hey.... Eliane, you're doing the Sky Divin' mission as well?

Delijah Fei

Delijah had her own little stool to stand on for her bathroom. The sinks in her dormitory was a bit too tall for her to wash normally and much to her humiliation, her parents sent her one when she wrote to them about it. Still half asleep, Delijah quickly finished all her morning rituals and just as she was aobut to depart to the school cafeteria, her phone bleeped. Delijah had synced her phone to update on new missions, information and any events that may register on the network. Right now, new missions have been updated and the very first one intrigued Delijah.

Trouble in Paradise huh....hm? Whats this?

Reading further into the information, it seemed to be a mission down in the water, and there was mermaids that may help as well. This hooked Delijah in as she always wanted to see a mermaid in the flesh. As quick as she can, Delijah applied for the mission before slipping the phone back into her pocket and made off towards the cafeteria. There was a bit of time left and breakfast was crucial for one's body to grow.

Maya Kamiya

Maya was feelig lazy. There was no class for her in the morning, but she had managed to register for one in the evening. It was funny. When Maya was scanning down the classes that were available to the students, she realised that many of the classes had odd names. Usually, Maya was used to things like Physics, Phys Ed, Mathematics, History and such. However, in Eureka, the classes were more like Study and Cultivation of conventional abilities
, Tactics and Strategies and Theory and Application of Alchemy. It all seemed very fantastic and magical, but Maya guessed it was just different vocabulary since she wasn't in Japan. Alchemy probably meant science or something anyway. She did find it interesting that Tactics and Strategies seemed to have a more limited spot that many others and on a whim, Maya applied. Through some freak chance, her applications was accepted and now, with the whol morning to waste, Maya was going to sleep in a bit more, then probably hed out to the music room

Raistlin Majere

“Sorry, I don’t think I’ll have too much time for breakfast today,” Raistlin replied. There was a slight smile on his face as he said it. “If I want to be able to leave the necessary two miles to go on my mission today, I’ve got to complete my project first…” There was no telling how much time it would take to complete the Homunculus. Luckily for him, it was almost done. However, it still had to make sure to perfect it.

Homunculi by default were already taxing. Controlling one meant that it was already using a major part of your power, and they were weaker. Without a doubt, 25% of his power would be gone through it, and it would only be able to use the remaining 75% of his power for attacks. Not to mention that physically speaking, it was worse… much worse. If it took a hard hit, it was likely that it would be broken. Raistlin would have to ensure that he controlled it carefully…

As he got lost in thought, Escaflowne had entered the room. Rastilin had muttered out a brief “hello” as he continued thinking about it. Homunculi weren’t like they were made out to be in television shows. They didn’t regenerate, and they were far from being indestructible… but if it was the only way to leave campus, it would have to do.

The Great Hall stood empty and hollow this morning. "Don't these children know that morning missions are beginning in 5 minutes?" Akabea grunted as he checked a watch upon his wrist.

"U-um normally Krell would just send out an announcement sir." Stella spoke standing in the Great hall beside him.

Lucky for her she had posted up the missions just before he had arrived downstairs. Sadly though all she managed to snag from the cafeteria was an apple and banana, two deliscious fruits that barely filled her stomach halfway. A sigh of aggrivation escaped Akabea's lips as he pulled out a small handheld device from his pant pocket and held it up to his mouth.

"ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS. THE TWO MORNING MISSIONS SHALL BEGIN IN THE LOBBY THIS MORNING AT THIS INSTANT. ALL WHO ARE READY PROCEEDE TO THE GREAT HALL SO THAT WE SHALL BEGIN. THAT IS ALL."

The headmaster's voice had rang loud through the halls as if Akabea's device was an intercom without wires. "They should be down shortly sir." Stella spoke as she glanced outside the giant oak doors leading outside.

The dark clouds floating past were definite signs of a terrible storm. She couldn't help but hope that the airship race would not be done in this terrible weather. Lost once again in her daydreaming, Stella let out a gasp, as she found an idea she had once had long ago in her first semester of Student Council president. "Um Mr. Akabea?" She asked looking down at the headmaster, something which felt very awkward to do to a person with big authoratative power.

"Yes?" The serious child's face erupted gazing at her.

"I have a plan for an event of the student council that slipped my mind from before."
"And what kind of plans are these?"

"Oh nothing it's just a celebration for Eureka's annual celebration. It used to be a ball celebrating the founding fathers of the island put oon by the town of Eureka. I was thinking since we're so close to the date, that we could also make it a homecoming and a celebration welcoming our new headmaster also." Stella breathed.

An moment of silence had gotten Stella a bit nervous until the headmaster spoke once again. "You want me to approve of a 'Homecoming Dance?'" He asked in a shocked tone.

"N-no! Well, yes, it's a bit more formal. The guys and girls get dressed up and it's a really fun tradition as the student dance in the lighted courtyard. Last year there was live music and everything." Stella explained. "Please sir, the students really need a happy event to look forward to after the past tragedy-"

"It'll be tomorrow night then. You and the Student Council will take full responsibility of the planning preparation and discom. We'll speak no more of it." Akabea spoke looking out at the gray coulds as he could hear droplets of rain hitting the grounds outside.

"R-REALLY?" Stella almost shrieked nin surprise. "Excuse me, I mean, Okay then!"

Akabea looked back at her in question. Judging from her reaction he instantly could tell that maybe the students didn't see him as the type to enjoy a bit of fun. "I guess you thought wrong." he mumbled in hushed tones as he waited for the mission participants to arrive.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pharra Lee stood in the room as her dorm mate left out. She couldn't help but feel a bit awkward that her dorm mate had strolled right past her as if she wasn't there. With the flick of her finger, her room door opened allowing Pharra to get ready. More swishes and flicks with her finger and her outfit and hair was ready for the day. Her finger felt a bit worn as she reached for the handle of the door, making sure to lock it behind her.

Pharra had alot on her mind as she left out, gazing down at her phone. It seemed as though Stella succesfully posted the missions up and ready. With a quick sign up of a night mission the girl had left to go exit downstairs. She descended the stairs from outside her floor, only waving at her sister in the Great Hall once as she passed by into the cafeteria. The girl craved nothing in particular so she grabbed a bit of cereal in a bowl and a bottle of milk before she left to go to her favorite spot in a quiet corridor where she could be in peace.

On her way she spotted her room mate, sitting close to the library entrance. The girl looked fragile, and had the most peculiar ears. With a small sigh and a sleepy expression still etched upon her face, Pharra carried her bowl over towards the girl. "Hi. We never got to meet officially, but I saw you leave out earlier." Pharra spoke in what she figured what a nice, peaceful tone. "I'm your dorm mate Pharra Marx."

Pharra held out a hand for the girl to shake, balancing her bowl and juice in the other.

Alyss Mithrandir
As Alyss sat drinking her coke, a girl walked up to her. She had really long hair, and was dressed rather nicely. She wondered what the girl could possibly want with her. “Hi. We never got to meet officially, but I saw you leave out earlier. I’m your dorm mate Pharra Marx.” She spoke pleasantly, so the odds of her being angry at her for coming in so late were low… and she looked somewhat sleepy. Pharra had held out her hand, presumably for Alyss to shake it… but she wasn’t wearing gloves.

However, Alyss didn’t want to be rude. While she didn’t want to be rude, she also didn’t want to touch anyone… She had to act quickly. Placing her hand on the inside of her sleeve, she wrapped it over her hand and shook Pharra’s hand. With a smile on her face, she introduced herself to Pharra. “I-I am Alyss Mithrandir. Very sorry to have missed you this morning, I did not mean to be rude.” As she released her hand, she hoped that Pharra had not thought of her strange for it.

“Did… you perhaps sign up for any missions to-“, Her words were interrupted by a loud booming voice that sounded like the Headmasters. “ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS. THE TWO MORNING MISSIONS SHALL BEGIN IN THE LOBBY THIS MORNING AT THIS INSTANT. ALL WHO ARE READY PROCEED TO THE GREAT HALL SO THAT WE SHALL BEGIN. THAT IS ALL.” Alyss gasped, she wasn’t going to be able to meet Rose… However, she made an obligation, and now she was going to have to roll with it. “V-very sorry again, Pharra. I have got to go for my mission. It was a pleasure to meet you… and I hope you were not bothered with my late entry last night.”

Waving behind her, Alyss started walking off towards the Great Hall. Alyss felt as if she was being rude, constantly taking off and leaving people behind... she didn’t like it. However, she had things to do, and she feared punishment over people thinking her rude. As she neared the Great Hall, she could see students lining up. She checked her phone real quick to see where she was supposed to meet up. Of course, she was still unaware of her accident earlier, so she looked someone surprised when the message said to meet up in the corner of the Great Hall.

That was where the Trouble in Paradise mission was supposed to meet… Had there been some kind of mistake?

Raistlin Majere
Raistlin smiled as he heard the announcement. He had five minutes to get his project off the ground and running. “Well, ladies… I’ve got to get things ready. Later,” he said. Getting off of his chair, he opened the closet door, and made it lead to his Allod. After he closed the door, it would go back to leading to the closet. Stepping back inside his tower, he ran straight to section that led to his workshop. That’s when he saw… himself, more or less.

It was a spitting image of him in every way. It wore the same clothes; it bore the same scars, etc. However, it would never be as powerful as Raistlin was himself. It was physically weaker and unable to handle as many hits as Raistlin could, and it would only operate with 75% of Raistlin’s power, so it wouldn’t even hit as hard. However, he would have to make do with it.

Sitting in a chair next to the table it lay on, she started up the connection. Instantly, he could feel the drain on his powers as his mind melded into that of the homunculi. Suddenly, Raistlin’s eyes no longer saw what he himself saw, but what the homunculus saw. His movements were not his own, but the homunculi’s. Standing it up, he walked it over to where he sat, and took the stone off from Raistlin’s neck.

“Damn, that’s eerie…”, Raistlin thought aloud. Seeing himself laying in a chair with his eyes closed was certainly eerie. It was like an out of body experience he had complete control over. Placing the soul gem around “his” neck, he left his Allod once again and made way for the great hall. All the while, he was trying really hard to get used to moving again.

Ecthelion Anwamane
“Oh dear, missions already…” Ecthelion sighed as he placed the apple and tray on the nearest table. He would be damned if he at least didn’t eat his toast. “Sorry about that, feel free to take my tray. ‘No rest for the wicked’, as they say.” Leaving the cafeteria, he walked over to the Great Hall. He wasn’t surprised at all that students were lined up and ready to go. Marching in, he walked over to the designated place for the meeting place where students would be meeting for Sky Diving.

Mission time. Ho-hum. Orion had been calmly eating in a corner of the cafeteria, and thankfully all he had left was an apple when the announcement came. He tossed the trash he had left away and walekd over to the Great Hall, biting into his apple as he walked. It had been a while since he actually had need to defend his life, so it would be good to work out the kinks. Taking out his phone, he checked who else was going.

Delijah... hopefully she wouldn't waste time and energy attacking him. Raistlin... still an unknown factor, but he was smart enough to not waste time, at least until after the mission was done. The remaining two he didn't know, but that didn't bother him much. As he approached the Great Hall, he saw Raistlin going as well. Might as well figure out now if Raistlin would attack him.

As Orion approached, he felt that something was off about Raistlin. Something about him... Orion shrugged it off. He fell into step next to him and spoke calmly.

"Hello there, Raistlin. It seems we are working together for this mission. The greatest mage on campus and one of the top physical fighters. Should be interesting, so long as we don't waste our energy on each other, don't you agree?"

Elaine Chevalier:

“Sorry, I don’t think I’ll have too much time for breakfast today, If I want to be able to leave the necessary two miles to go on my mission today, I’ve got to complete my project first…”

Elaine knew what Raist meant when he said that. Ever since he made the school float, he had no choice but to remain in the school, less he wound up becoming a soulless zombie. Veerle probably doesn't know, or else she would be very worried for him. But can she blame him, Raist did what he knew best to save their school from Diaga. As far as she was concerned, he was their unsung hero.

"Good luck on that endeavor, Raistlin." Elaine said as Raistlin went off into his thoughts.

"Annnnnnd.... there. Done. Hey Eliane, Raistlin. Mornin'. Guess im not the last one then...."

"Heh, I guess not." Elaine said.

Oh hey.... Eliane, you're doing the Sky Divin' mission as well?

"Actually yes, I like to participate in something like that." For Elaine, the daughter of a fighter pilot, she always wanted to be a pilot, and she hoped to win enough points to allow her to own her own airplane. "So, shall we be on our way?"

______________________________________________

It was around the time that everyone should have been waking up by the time Estrella finished her refurbishing. Snapping the buttons of her blazer closed, she looked behind her while moving her hair in front of her and out of sight to see that the gold chain was evenly hooked on each side of the jacket's back. The charms 'D' and 'C' hung loosely on one spot of the chain, and shimmered from the light coming out of the window. It was a bit brighter than it was before, but still no sunlight, so the silverette still had hopes of going outside for a while.

Looking out the window, she could see several students already up and heading towards the cafeteria, so breakfast must have already been served for those ready to eat. Folding her arms, dark gold eyes wandered the courtyard slowly as she noticed that it was definitely a lot calmer than it was when everyone had arrived yesterday; but that was no reason to keep her eyes open for anything that could happen. No sign of the other committee members yet, she noticed. They were either already in the cafeteria or getting ready for the day - whether they were going to eat, go to classes, or get ready for missions.

And with the thought of missions suddenly on her mind, Estrella turned to a certain wall where her Touchscreen Overlay had hung. To her, it was like a computer inside of a wall; although she could check her phone anytime she wanted to. She would be keeping it close to her throughout the day in case any of the staff or students needed her, but using the overlay would be quicker. Checking the school's information, she spotted that there were several notifications of missions that were just put up not too long after she woke up. As she tapped the screen lightly with a long nailed finger to bring up the list, she read the list to herself clearly, even at the distance she stood from it.

Trouble in Paradise . . . Research . . . there were several missions listed, but from the looks of things - to her misfortune - it didn't look like there were any that suited her interests. Huh. There will be other days. She assured herself. Stepping up to the overlay, she held down the button to shut the device down until the screen was off. Walking over to the shelf, she grabbed her phone and shoved it in her back skirt pocket and stepped out of her dorm. A few other black sect students were walking up and down the sect hallway, some giving her odd glances as she made her way downstairs and towards the courtyard.

Stepping outside and making way for the cafeteria, slightly cold air breezed around Estrella's face, and her skin tingled from the chill as she strode over to dining hall. The architecture of it was certainly more noticeable during the day, she'd give it that, and several students from different sects were already sitting and enjoying whatever they picked for their breakfast. Estrella decided to get something with good quality but that could also be eaten in a good amount of time, seeing as she wasn't totally hungry when she just wakes up, but missing a meal was something she didn't condone.

Walking over to the station where the food was prepared, her eyes had already focused over to a sausage and egg sandwich, and she picked one up as she scanned the rest of the cafeteria. Not a whole lot of students were in here at the moment, unlike last night where staff had to take reserved seats in order to find a spot, but within a few seconds, she recognized someone sitting by herself over at one of the tables. Walking over a bit closer, she noticed it was Athena - DisCo's second chair. She didn't speak a lot during last night's meeting, but seeing that she was eating by herself, Estrella felt it generous to give her a greeting.

"Morning, Athena. Did you get a good rest?" She asked once she was standing at the girl's side. Almost right after she asked the question, a slight click could be heard in the surroundings, and then a loud voice echoed through the hall.

"ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS. THE TWO MORNING MISSIONS SHALL BEGIN IN THE LOBBY THIS MORNING AT THIS INSTANT. ALL WHO ARE READY PROCEED TO THE GREAT HALL SO THAT WE SHALL BEGIN. THAT IS ALL."

Already? Estrella thought to herself. Despite that she hadn't signed up for any of the missions for today, she pitied the students that would probably end up missing breakfast for it. When the intercom shut off, chatter had gotten a little louder in the cafeteria, and a couple of students were quickly leaving the area. She eventually turned her attention back to Athena. "Ah, I didn't sign up for any of them for today. Didn't catch my interest, really. But if you did for this morning, you may want to depart now."

"ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS. THE TWO MORNING MISSIONS SHALL BEGIN IN THE LOBBY THIS MORNING AT THIS INSTANT. ALL WHO ARE READY PROCEED TO THE GREAT HALL SO THAT WE SHALL BEGIN. THAT IS ALL."

Rose had been walking down the steps that led to the courtyard grounds when the voice sounded. She was about to head off to the cafeteria to grab something to eat quickly, until her concentration came back to her and she realized what she had just heard. "Wha- kid, are you serious!?" She asked to no one in particular, but the disbelief in her tone was very clear. She hadn't even had time to look at the new listed missions yet, or eat breakfast at that note. Students woke up just now maybe? Kind of ridiculous. She thought to herself, managing to not think out loud as she often did as a bad habit.

The way to the Great Hall was a blank to Rose, even though she could have looked for it earlier last night before she met Alyss, but from the sight of several students heading the direction opposite of where she was facing, she could only assume that they were on their way to the hall as well. Stepping near one of the pillars that stood near the entrance, she had yanked out her cell phone and quickly checked the main page of the school. She wanted to start doing missions this very day, and she didn't want to miss any opportunities. She had clicked the first mission on the list and checked to see if it caught her interest.

Apparently it was called Trouble in Paradise, and it involved going to an . . . underwater city? Rose's interest had immediately shot to its peak as she skimmed through more details involving the missions, all while a few more students went inside of the Great Hall to meet with the groups. Rose didn't want to waste anymore time outside the hall, so she eventually followed the crowd, signing up to do the mission the moment she walked through the door. With a sigh of relief, she discovered that it hadn't been too late to sign up when the headmaster made the announcement. But if she had known that morning missions were going to be very close to the wake up call, she would have woken up earlier.

As she slowed her walking pace, Rose's thoughts had immediately brightened up. She went to many places, but only on land. This would be the first time she's been to a floating island, and as she went on this mission, it would be her first time going someplace that was underwater. How that would work out, she had yet to know, but the thought excited her. She walked over to the corner of the hall that was apparently where all of the applicants were meeting, and checked the other missions on her phone out of curiosity. But to her dismay, she was only eligible to go to this one and the Skydiving mission that was meeting at the same time as the TiP partipants.

As much as Skydiving seemed fun, it wasn't nearly as exciting as the thought of visiting a city that was beneath the ocean. A side grin had formed on Rose's face without her being aware of it, but she didn't care at the moment. Snapping the case back on her phone and putting it in her inner blazer pocket, she looked over at the people who had met in the area for the time being. So far, it wasn't anyone she knew, but that wouldn't be for long after she looked around the rest of the hall. As she looked around, she had suddenly spotted Alyss standing at a random spot in the hall, staring at the group that Rose was in, but not directly at her. She looked . . . confused about something, but Rose would fix that in a second. Raising her hand, she waved it over to Alyss grab her attention.

"Alyss! Come over here for a second!"

Alyss Mithrandir
There were two others that had shown up for the mission. The first one was Raistlin, and the other one Alyss didn’t know… but he looked kind of familiar. They had begun speaking, but Alyss couldn’t concentrate on what they were saying. She was still very confused about what was going on. Why had she been sent to wait over here, in the Trouble in Paradise section rather than over there in the Skydiving section? Also, why would someone like Raistlin be wasting their time on Skydiving? Surely he would be of more use in Trouble in Paradise?

Something was clearly wrong here… As Alyss sat down to think about it, she heard Rose in the background. “Alyss,” Alyss’ eyes lit up as she heard it. “Come over here for a second!” Doing so, Alyss stood up making sure her katanas were still at her side (as she had the habit of losing them at times) and walked over to Rose. “Quel amrun”, she said, forgetting that no one on campus would know what that meant. “Oh, I mean good morning. Sorry, I still let that slip from time to time… I take it you signed up for Skydiving too?”

She really hoped she had. Alyss was starting to get the sneaking suspicion that she had made a terrible mistake.

Raistlin Majere
As he walked in, the first thing he noticed was the Elf sitting over in the Trouble in Paradise mission. There must have been more to her than meets the eye if she was willing to sign up for a mission like this. Perhaps she wasn’t as timid as she let on. While it peaked his interest just a bit, Orion’s words peaked his interest a little more. Of course, his words only served to ensure that Raistlin wouldn’t kill him the first chance he got. However, Raistlin still found it a bit funny.

Turning around to face him, Raistlin grinned. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to attack you. You’re none of my concern, really. Besides, it seems as if most of the students here hate you. The last thing you’ll be needing is me as your enemy.” Turning his back to Orion, he couldn't help but make a joke. "Besides, the last thing I need is to square off in a dancing competition with you as you dance and dodge around in that profane manner."

Delijah Fei

"ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS. THE TWO MORNING MISSIONS SHALL BEGIN IN THE LOBBY THIS MORNING AT THIS INSTANT. ALL WHO ARE READY PROCEED TO THE GREAT HALL SO THAT WE SHALL BEGIN. THAT IS ALL."

Delijah had just finished downing the last of her cereal when the Headmaster's message blared throughout the school. She had to admit, even if his size wasn't imposing (ironic coming from Delijah), his tone and voice sure was. Almost on instinct in reaction to authority, Delijah stood from her table, discarded the trash from her breakfast and made a B line for the lobby. A fair few students have begun to gather as the missions were about to commence. Amongst them, Delijah spotted Orion, Raistlin, Alyss and many others. Polearm in each hand, Delijah quickly double timed it to the meeting point for Trouble in Paradise.

Good morning Raistlin, Orion, Alyss. It seems i am the last to arrive. My apologies.

From the people she saw, 3 of them was in this mission, plus an additional Black Sect girl that she did not recognise, which unfortunately left Delijah unable to greet her. This left a nudging sensation down Delijah's back as she ALWAYS felt more secure if she had some idea as to who she was interacting with. From her phone, Delijah pulled up her school data, but that wasn't particularly informing besides telling Delijah the girl's name was Rosalynn Hera.

I do not believe we have met before. Delijah Fei.

Like always, quick and terse. It was best to at least get acquainted with Rosalynn right now rather than later when in a sticky situation. Delijah held out her small hand, trasnferring Yatagarasu to her right hand, in a gesture of a hand shake. With her here, they were good to depart.

Escaflowne Zraith

"Actually yes, I like to participate in something like that. So, shall we be on our way?"

Yea... there was something i had my eye on for a while and i thought this may give me a chance to brush up on flying.

Flying seemed to be the way to go, considering they were on a floating school. However, that said, her chances in this race was sketchy at best. Admittingly, Escaflowne's flying experience is not that expansive, while on the other hand, Eliane as the daughter of a pilot. She just hope that flying is as talked up as she heard it to be. If not, then becoming mangled in a wreck seemed hardly worth the effort.

Well, why walk when we can portal?

With a snap of her finger, Escaflowne opened another portal door straight towards the lobby, right next to where teh Sky Diving members would be gathering at. Escaflowne stepped through first, as if stepping straight out of thin air for those that weren't looking at her from the front. It seems as though she was the first there.....

Hm... cool. First one... oh wait... maybe not.

To the right side, Mr Ecthelion Anwamane, one of the teachers here arrived. From memory, he was also part of the mission as well.

Heya Mr Anwamane....bleh....

Escaflowne always thought his last name was a mouthful. In actual fact, so was his first name.

Seems like we're gonna be flying together today.

Alyss Mithrandir
Almost as soon as she had asked her question, Delijah had shown up. Of course, Alyss recognized her immediately from the dinner last night, and was happy to see another friendly face. Delijah had introduced herself to Rose, as Alyss stood there. However, she still had the nagging feeling in the back of her head. She had to figure out what was going on. “Ms. Fei… this is the Skydiving mission… right?” Rose was here, Raistlin was here, and now Delijah… none of them would be wasting their time with Airship racing. Suddenly, Alyss was starting to feel sick…

Ecthelion Anwamane
Ecthelion couldn’t help but smile as one of the students stumbled somewhat over his name. Shamefully enough, he hadn’t learned any of the student’s names here yet. He had been far too busy setting things up to sit down and start getting to know people. “Don’t worry about the name, dear. Men and Elves far greater than myself have stumbled over it. I take it both of you will be joining me on the mission today?” Moving closer to the students, he extended his hand. “If you don’t mind me asking, what are your names?”

Raistlin Majere
Moving away from Orion, Raistlin walked closer to Delijah, Alyss, and the black haired chick. Delijah had introduced herself to the ladder and Raistlin did the same. “Glad to see you three on the mission.” Looking over at the black haired woman, Raistlin introduced himself. “I’m Raistlin Majere, nice to meet you.” Though, in all reality, it was just a formality. It was rare for Raistlin to think it nice to meet anyone. Hopefully, the extra baggage didn’t slow them down too much.

Akabea narrowed his eyes. It was time to begin and it seemed as though the mission team to be leaving for Atlantis had already been assembled. He walked amoungst the gathered students and cleared his throat so that he would have their attention. "Good morning all." he began noticing the team's students right away.

Having researched all 500 something students of the academy, Akabea had learned a great deal about the participating students and some of their past records. "I, your headmaster has decided to accompany you on this journey. Being an avid researcher on the recent portals that have begun to spring up all over our world I have gathered a way to close them."

Akabea cleared his throoat once more glancing out at the gray clouds almost completely covering the island in a thick misty fog. "We will be travelling through one of these portals to perhapse what seems like another world. This may seem exciting at first but there are rules. First of all, keep all modern technology on school grounds, no interacting with citizens other than ones related to the mission objective and absolutely no harming the citizens in these places. Feel free to spread the word around to your fellow peers when you get back." Akabea said pulling out a small umbrella from inside the jacket one of his pant pockets.

"You may be wondering where the portal resides. In fact the island should be floating right above it as we speak. On our way out on the grounds you all are to follow me and keep close until we reach the island's edge. The portal resides exactly a mile below and stretches ten feet wide. I'd hold hands to make sure you won't miss the mark while we jump. Are there any questions?" The headmastster spoke as he began heading out the doors of the Great Hall. "Keep up now."

Hopefully these students could handle the battle before them. Akabea had no intentions of helping them contain the beast on the other side of the portal in Atlantis. He figured he would be able to brief them about additional information once they all had reached their destination.

Raistlin Majere/Alyss Mithrandir
“If anyone needs a place to put their phones, just hand them to me. I’ll have them stored safely at my home.” Raistlin said. He picked up his phone and caused it to vanish. It would appear back at his Allod on a table in his research room. Alyss had walked up to him, and silently handed him her phone, and Raistlin had done the same to hers. It seemed she was scared or something, for she was deathly silent. As Raistlin followed the Headmaster, Alyss looked down at the ground and stuck closely to Rose.

She was terrified, absolutely terrified. How could she have been so foolish as to pick the wrong mission?! She hoped things didn’t go bad… and if they did, she hoped that Rose would stick by her, because the only thing she had confidence in was her ability to be in the way at all times. And if she had interpreted what the Headmaster said correctly, they would be jumping into the portal from the island… Alyss started shaking at this point. She was sure she was going to die… As soon as she saw the Headmaster, she knew she had screwed up and signed up for the wrong mission.

However, Raistlin couldn’t be more excited. This was the first time he would be away from campus in ages. Why hadn’t he finished his homunculus earlier? This was a grand idea! Popping his fingers, he smiled as he followed the Headmaster. He was far too excited for this.

Orion calmly handed over his phone to Raistlin. If he wanted to mess with him by making it disappear permenantly, oh well. He fell into step a bit behind Akabea, who spoke of them all needing to stay together. He considerd his allies. Delijah and Raistlin were both powerful in their own right, but he didn't know the others. However, they were both above blue sect, so Orion wasn't worried. Akabea seemed like the type to stay out of the fighting, unfortuneately, so they would have to rely on each other.

Akabea began to detail not harming the citizens, nothing modern with them, do not interact more then necessary... basic planet-traveling stuff, if you thought about it.

This'll be interesting...

Elaine Chevalier:

Well, why walk when we can portal?

Elaine forgot about that part of the business. It was still time getting used to the whole portal thing, but nonetheless she followed Escaflowne's portal, which took her straight to the grand hall. As she entered the hall with Zee, she saw one of Eureka's professors nearby.

Heya Mr Anwamane....bleh....Seems like we're gonna be flying together today.

“Don’t worry about the name, dear. Men and Elves far greater than myself have stumbled over it. I take it both of you will be joining me on the mission today?”

"We will be participating on this mission, Mr. Anwamane."
Elaine said, being respectful to her teacher.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what are your names?”

"Oh, I'm sorry if I did not introduce herself." She said moving to shake the teacher's hand, "My name is Elaine Chevalier. It's a pleasure to meet you in person."

Nicolo Zorzi

After a light breakfast (some oatmeal and an apple) Nicolo looked at his class schedule, he will have class in the evening with Headmaster Akabea. So with his mornings free he has time to see if he can find someone to train with. If not he would go free running.

It was hard to think of things, it made him wonder...why did he not sign up for a mission? Nicolo put his hand on head in realization of this, and now he was gonna be bored to tears while people had fun.
