How many times did you die?

Um. Quite a few deaths in the first go-round. I can't remember exactly how many, but I died a few times fighting Seymour Flux (few is a serious understatement there), a few times fighting Yunalesca (probably an understatement there, too) and a few times against Geosgaeno, that ugly thing guarding Baaj Temple. There were more scattered deaths in between. I'm definitely no master at getting through games with a clean sheet of no deaths!
 
Hmm probably around 10ish times or so I can't exactly remember, but it's not like I was keeping count or anything!
 
Let's see...

The last time I remember dying was at Evrae.
After I beat Evrae, my weaked party was picked off at the monks.
Then, Seymour Flux's cross attack killed me.
I forgot to have one of my party member's in Zombie, so all my character's lives were stolen and crushed by Yunalesca.

...

And that's it.
 
I completely forgot about Evrae. I had a hard time with that thing, too, but the music was so cool I didn't mind so much. Also, I remember Yojimbo not being very helpful at this point.
 
I died a bunch on the Seymour on top of Gagazet and it sucked because there is such a long movie sequence that you can't skip before you fight him. I also died a couple of times on Yunalesca.
 
12 times with Saymour at the top of Mt....... forgot what its called.
After that I never died again. D*** you Saymour :lol:
 
i still havent finished it because i cant beat seymore when you go up that snow covered mountain- wheb he does zombie on you then full life.

if i was commited enough i probally could but yea i cant be bothered
 
If i remeber correctly, i died about 10ish times, But i never got to finish it due to my PS2 crapping out on me :<
 
I at least died less than 20 times through the whole game...it took me a while to finish since I took my cousin's advice to try getting all the characters to lvl 99 (my cousin told me i hav a chance defeating the enemies easily) and I had little help (help with defeating Seymour & another 2 battles i can't remember) from my cousin, who knows all the things (secrets, places, etc.) on FFX.

Mmm, around 14 times. About half were because of some big boss beastie, but I can't remember who. About four were because of that big flying thing, I think it's called Evrae, you fight on the Al Bhed ship, 'cause I couldn't go anywhere to level up. Y,Y

You can't get to level 99 in X, though. :/

To tell you the truth, once you have Trio of 9999, each battle is over in 2 minutes.
 
haha well im on the first battle with seymour (only got it on christmas day) and ive died about 3 times so far....argh so frustrating, i know what to do its just if i get one bit wrong the whole thing gets messed up. ive died more than just 3 times in total though heh. but hey, its my first final fantasy game! i am a newbie in the newest sense, so any advice will be appreciated. i swear to god i have never played a more addictive game haha.
 
i only died once ever, adn that was against yunalesca.
most bosses were easy since my Yojimbo always used that one hit K.O attack.
+ i think i trained tidus too much. one hit does 7k damage xD
 
i died in the very first boss fight... oh wait...

no, i died countless times in my first play, as i didn't know what to come, it all went better when i figured out the aeon overdrive trick
