How many times did you die?

less than 10..but I don't know exactly..yunalesca was hard for me until i figured her stategy out
 
After that battle on the ship against Sin's fin, you know that boss, right? Well, I died constantly at that battle. For some reason, I tried to keep track of how many times Tidus died. Lost count at 53...
 
I'm at Senubia Desert and i have a total of...0 game overs not bad, eh? the trick is to build up your characters stats for an hour or two anywhere there's a Save Sphere and Random Encounters.
 
I think the only time I died was the first time I fought Yunalesca.
 
I didn't die a lot...I know less than five times. I was extremely careful and my I leveled up a lot, so the game was pretty much a cinch to me.

Those encounters were about half of my deaths too. I don't know why, i just couldn't kill them. :O
 
i died at penance and about every other one of the dark aeons (not dark valefor or ifrit) i also died at seymour flux twice ( i guess i had low hp though )
 
It was only in FFX though. It seems like defeating them isn't even possible!
They poison you RIGHT at the beginning of battle!!!!!
 
Hm, can you heal fast enough to deal with the poison without curing it? That might work...
 
No, the thing is, right when the battle starts, it casts numerous spells on you with it's Bad Breath attack. I think it casts: Poison, berserk, and confuse.
If any of your characters aren't killed by the poison, but remain berserked, they'll be killed off by one of the other confused characters right away.
If you're lucky, you can keep yuna out of your party, and if EVER there's an opportunity to switch your characters out, you can bring yuna in and use her summons.
But with that strategy, you can never capture a marlboro.
 
Well people i don't know quite what to say...I said yesterday that I was at Sanubia Desert and I hadn't had 1 single Game Over but alas my big mouth gets me into trouble yet again...I got my first Game Over this morning after I was shamefully tossed aside by 2 of those Evil Eye thingys (I know I'm a disgrace!) but in my defence my characters were too strong not to kill each other after they've all had Confuse inflicted on them...Damn you Evil Eye thingys!
 
yeah confuse is really annoying especially if your characters have 255 str

What I do to kill them is have Auron out with his Masamune so he gets first strike then I switch to yuna and summon and kill it. Now to capture them you can use the same strategy just summon an aeon who can't kill a malboro in one hit and get him low on hp. Then dismiss the summon and kill the malboro. Viola, Malboro captured.
