Interest check - Pokemon

1) No, starting with starters only. You could catch an Eevee at some point though, and you don't have to keep your Pokemon inside their balls if you don't want to.
2) Not really. All knowledge you need, can be found at Serebii. You just need to know what moves your Pokemon will have, that's all. Plus since fifth gen Pokemon will be in the RP (alas, I haven't found a good excuse to exclude them, plus it'd probably put people off...) it might be an idea to know at least what they look like if they're being used.

.... That reminds me of something.

Can our starters have more abilities then just the tackle/scratch and the growl/leer abilities? Having such little amount of abilities has always been a bitch... The fact that, if your playing right, you get the actual abilities for their type before the first gym battle doesn't apply to this.

Hmm...alright. We'll have it so that starter Pokemon have the first four moves they learn when they start, although they'll still be level 5. So, for example, my Bulbasaur will have Tackle, Growl, Leech Seed and Vine Whip.

I'm going to allow multiple ages, as well. Having everyone at ten would just be irritating, and not everyone starts their journey at ten anyway. That is the minimum age, though. I think the maximum age will be fourteen, or possibly fifteen...for trainers, anyway. Gym Leaders need to be a minimum age of eighteen.

Edited first post with Noctis' Piplup reservation and a change of my own...going with a Psychic Elite Four member instead. Might change that, though - I'm juggling teams right now. xD

SWEET! Thank you! No more fucking power-leveling for half-way decent moves.

*points at Nintendo*

EAT THAT NINTENDO! NOW YOU NO LONGER WASTE MY TIME!

And now to plot out my characters... who will be brothers 3 years apart (4 if you make the maximum age 14).

Be a gym leader.

By the way, my excuse for making the uber powerful 8th gym leader (compare the 8th to the other 7 and you shall know why I call him that) 18 is because he shall be a prodigy in pokemon! Which makes a lot of sense, really...

And his younger brother shall be trying (and succeeding) to surpass him. Question! Late in the RP, can we receive a pokemon from a family member?

I was contemplating being related to a pokemon Breeder, (the day-care man and woman to be precise) and when i reach them after going through the gyms, i was kinda hoping that they could bestow an Eevee on me

Hmm I am interested in being an Electric Gym Leader, maybe the 7th Leader?

Could you tell me what is involved? Do I just RP for my Gym battles?

Also how do we determine what levels my gym pokemon will be at? :)

Thank you <3

Edit: Sorry another Question I *think* it hasn't been answered yet but How do you know how much damage has been done when in battle? Or is that a mechanic still to be determined?

I'll deal with Gym leader 7, and she shall use Rock pokemon

well, rock and ground types

Both reserved. Although it'll be Rock types only your leader specialises in Noctis; leaders can't specialise in two types. Although nothing is stopping you from using dual-type Pokemon, of course.

Now, that depends entirely on what the Pokemon is, what level it is, and when in the RP you get it. We'll sort that out as we go.

I was going to go with the sibling rivalry route...although on a big larger of a scale, since my elder sibling is a member of the Elite Four. I might even bring the boss/champion into it, to make the ultimate dysfunctional family. xD

7th Leader was taken just before you posted this, but the 6th is still open if you'd like, as are three Elite Four members~

Well, you wouldn't RP for quite a while if that were the case. I plan on having my Elite Four member travel around, so you could always do something with her if you wanted to...plus the evil team will be putting their plans into motion almost immediately, and obviously they aren't going to be confined to one area, since there are three commanders (or hopefully there will be...I'd hate to make them NPCs). So there will be plenty for Gym Leaders to do outside of battling~

Also how do we determine what levels my gym pokemon will be at? :)
Via this page. This applies to the number of Pokemon you'd have as a Gym Leader, as well. It'll be this page (second round stats, although I'm going to allow a full six Pokemon team in this case) for the Elite Four.

Common sense and co-operation. People can discuss their battles beforehand in the OOC thread and determine how they want battles to run. Having overly complex battle mechanics would make things far too awkward.

My gym leader is going to be the older brother of my character, and with my parents being the daycare owners, my char will have been around pokemon all his life.

As for the Eevee i will recieve will be freshly hatched and i will be giving it battle experience in 2Vs2 battles so it levels up quite quickly, and i may very well evolve it quite early depending on the facts and placement of the different climates.

That would probably be alright, since you'll have to go to the first town to get your starter, and the Daycare Center will be in the fourth or fifth town. You'll probably have at least three badges before you get it.

As for evolution, I'd rather people not rush things. It takes a while to evolve things, after all.

Oh, and I'm banning triple battles. It'll just get confusing as hell...it's a stupid addition to the games anyway. Double battles will be fine though.

Will there be contests as well? Also, i asked back on page 1 about Torchic, and from your posts afterwards, nothing was mentioned about my request for Torchic.

I'm not inclined to include Pokemon contests, because it'd require at least four people for participation, and I'm not going to include 20+ towns/cities on the map.

I wasn't taking reservations back at that point, I was just gauging the level of interest. If you want Torchic for your starter though, I'll reserve it for you now~

The only reason i was goin to evolve Eevee early is because they learn the evolutions learn their first type attck quite early on, and its evolution that i will be getting is a vital part of my team, so i want it to evolve early to maximise potential.
