Hera Ledro smiled with no intention of hiding the dramatic irony he now saw.
"Ah," Hera Ledro said, voice thick with mockery, "But you've made one small mistake. You see, neither my power, nor Jake's (and, make no mistake, you will pay with your life for mocking him), since neither one of us depend on the Dragons for our power, nor do we trace our power back through Dragonic routes."
Hera Ledro rustled his wings slightly, continuing. "These are only a symbol of my power, not the source of it. Neither is Jake's form the source of his power, only an incarnation that resulted from his extreme power." Looking Silverwing in the eyes, he said defiantly and mockingly, "It seems that you've found the weapon you've been searching for, only to discover that it is useless against the one you most seek to destroy. It's too bad you can't find the only weapon that would give one as weak as you any real chance to beat me, the Soul Calibur. Only I and the one who sealed it with me, long since dead, knew its location." Nodding at the Soul Edge-enhanced rapier that Silverwing held, he said, "Not even Night Terror, the creature you hold in your hand, knows where we placed it. And, since then, I have placed it in another spot, encased it in a shell that cannot be broken."
"In other words, only I know where it is. And you do not have the means to extract that knowledge from me." Standing up straight, and pointing his Dragon Blade straight at Silverwing, he cried, "I will no longer allow you to poison this world, good Doctor!" With that, he lunged at Julius A. Silverwing, slashing in a diagonal arc towards the one who held the Sword of Heroes.
He stopped mid lunge, and looked at another man, who had stopped an incoming volley of bullets at Hera Ledro, bellowing, "WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH THE PRESIDENT?"
It seems, thought Hera Ledro, keeping the majority of his fur sensors tuned to Silverwing, but also taking in this new person, that we have a new guest. This character was clearly hostile, as was seen by the power behind his shout, and Hera knew that this was nobody to toy with.
"Are you blind, human? I'm trying to kill the good doctor, here." And with that, keeping a few of his sensors tuned to the newcomer, Hera renewed his assault on Silverwing, this time loosing a golden ball of explosive energy at his opponent.

Jake landed on the rooftops in a nearby town, not knowing what it was, and sat down, looking off into the distance.
As he did, he saw an incoming truck with a curious apparition on it: a human, standing on its top, and staring towards the town. Squinting a little, Jake saw that it was the same man that he had encountered out near Yucca Mountain.
Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, Jake landed on the side of the road and awaited the stranger, staring at the incoming truck. I hope Grandpa's okay...
