Land of Dragons

Hera Ledro smiled with no intention of hiding the dramatic irony he now saw.

"Ah," Hera Ledro said, voice thick with mockery, "But you've made one small mistake. You see, neither my power, nor Jake's (and, make no mistake, you will pay with your life for mocking him), since neither one of us depend on the Dragons for our power, nor do we trace our power back through Dragonic routes."

Hera Ledro rustled his wings slightly, continuing. "These are only a symbol of my power, not the source of it. Neither is Jake's form the source of his power, only an incarnation that resulted from his extreme power." Looking Silverwing in the eyes, he said defiantly and mockingly, "It seems that you've found the weapon you've been searching for, only to discover that it is useless against the one you most seek to destroy. It's too bad you can't find the only weapon that would give one as weak as you any real chance to beat me, the Soul Calibur. Only I and the one who sealed it with me, long since dead, knew its location." Nodding at the Soul Edge-enhanced rapier that Silverwing held, he said, "Not even Night Terror, the creature you hold in your hand, knows where we placed it. And, since then, I have placed it in another spot, encased it in a shell that cannot be broken."

"In other words, only I know where it is. And you do not have the means to extract that knowledge from me." Standing up straight, and pointing his Dragon Blade straight at Silverwing, he cried, "I will no longer allow you to poison this world, good Doctor!" With that, he lunged at Julius A. Silverwing, slashing in a diagonal arc towards the one who held the Sword of Heroes.

He stopped mid lunge, and looked at another man, who had stopped an incoming volley of bullets at Hera Ledro, bellowing, "WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH THE PRESIDENT?"

It seems, thought Hera Ledro, keeping the majority of his fur sensors tuned to Silverwing, but also taking in this new person, that we have a new guest. This character was clearly hostile, as was seen by the power behind his shout, and Hera knew that this was nobody to toy with.

"Are you blind, human? I'm trying to kill the good doctor, here." And with that, keeping a few of his sensors tuned to the newcomer, Hera renewed his assault on Silverwing, this time loosing a golden ball of explosive energy at his opponent.

========================================================

Jake landed on the rooftops in a nearby town, not knowing what it was, and sat down, looking off into the distance.

As he did, he saw an incoming truck with a curious apparition on it: a human, standing on its top, and staring towards the town. Squinting a little, Jake saw that it was the same man that he had encountered out near Yucca Mountain.

Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, Jake landed on the side of the road and awaited the stranger, staring at the incoming truck. I hope Grandpa's okay...

Daros tried to ignore the insult but seeing a battle ensuing he tried to assist the more human of the two, as Hera Ledro called him the 'Good Doctor' he guessed at him being Silverwing

Daros: you appear to not know of whom you are dealing with, I am Daros, an elite spellknight, do not tempt me to utilise my abilities, I will not fall to the likes of you!

Daros ran to his foe and swung his Mageblade, Hera had a choice, would he pursue his attack on Dr. Silverwing or would he engage Daros? before Daros gave him much choice he utilised his earth powers and boulders appared out of nowhere, attempting to level the battlefield into a rocky mess, they had to flee the surrounding area in order to avoid grim death.

Daros: though I would love to entertain you, our time seems to be up.

With a quick bow Daros ran up a flight of stairs before they were barricaded by the boulders.

Julius rose his blade swiftly blocking Hera Ledro's attack. He stared directly to Hera Ledro's eyes devilishly. Julius knew that what he had within his hands was nothing less than a fraction of the demonic sword and was eager to see its full power once it becomes complete.

"Hera Ledro, it appears that you underestimate me my good friend. Even if I don't have the means to convince you to cooperate and can make you speak by force. You see, in order to take down a warrior we must attack the heart. Soon I will discover what is it that you cherish the most and use it to my benefit."

Julius stepped further closing the distance between Hera Ledro and himself. he soon thrust his lunged his blade towards Hera Ledro's torso. A malicious glint could be seen within the irises of Julius' eyes. Julius then halted his attack really close to Hera Ledro's torso and then made a surprise attack redirecting his blade towards Hera Ledro's neck. "Watch out if you don't want to lose you head!" He then halted his attack once again and jumped away swinging his blade from left to right putting all his evil intent on an attempt to slash Hera Ledro's chest. "On Guard my good dragon knight. Be on guard and do not allow anything to distract you from your main objective. I've always thought you've learned your lessons well but it seems I'll have to enlighten you the hard way."

Hera Ledro jumped back when Silverwing blocked his blade, and seperated his blade, making two equally-sized weapons.

Taking his left blade, Hera blocked the slash towads his chest as Silverwing lunged for him, and then flipped backwards into the air, his tail raking upwards as he flipped, straight for Julius' chin.

As he flew back in the air, he stopped 10 feet away from Julius, and blasted another ball at his foe, watching it explode on the ground at Silverwing's feet. The result was a huge cloud of dust and smoke around the room.

He doesn't have the same sensors I do, thought Hera. He can't feel the air the same way I can, so let's see what he can do without his shallow senses...

Tuning into his fur sensors, Hera Ledro closed his eyes, allowing his sensors to tell his mind what was around him, almost painting a picture in his mind.

Hera Ledro felt a flux in the cloud, and lunged for it, knowing from the power signature that it was Silverwing. Opening his eyes, he stared Silverwing straight in the face, and brought his left blade down on Silverwing, his right hand blade simultaneously coming at Julius' head horizontally.

"I am in a very bad mood, and your impertinence...-" Appears with a few scratches on his face, his clothes were barely ragged and he was partially covered in dust-"...is making.."- Julius deflects Hera Ledro's tail with the tip of his sword-"things a lot..." Julius dodges Hera Ledro's left hand blade and decides to parry Hera Ledro's right hand blade redirecting it towards the wall-"worse!!!!"-Julius then bent his knees and jumps high above Hera Ledro, landing behind the half man half dragon warrior. -"I'll cut that annoying tail of yours!!!"- Finally, Julius swung his blade horizontally from left to right aiming to Hera Ledro's tail.

Hera Ledro laughed, tugging his tail slightly out fo the blade's range as he sidestepped. "Imperinence? What impertinence? Surely you do not believe youself superior to me? Why don't I give you a glimpse of a fraction of my power, Silverwing..."

Stepping back, and clearing the cloud of dust with a wave of his hand, caling upon his Wind-Elemental power to blow it away. Now, his energy reserves were at less than half, but that was fine. It'll recharge after this, he thought.

"You seem to be harbouring the delusion that I am fighting...not so much at my best, but at a rate that would forego my true power. I'm not even close to my full power yet." Hera Ledro tensed his muscles slightly, and in a split second, a transformation ensued.

His hair, already spiky, stood up further on his head, adopting a golden sheen. His fur, due to the new energy charging it, shone a brilliant silver. His tail blade and nails changed to iridescent copper, blazing in the morning sun. Looking upwards, he noticed several boulders falling to the field, threatening to crush them.

Hera Ledro, with the doubled energy capacity and recharged by 75% of that new capacity (fully charged now), aimed his hand up at two of the boulders in turn, blasting them out of the sky with two well placed Energy Balls. The debris from the contact points caused the nearby boulders to breeak into small pieces, no longer a threat to them.

With Hera's strength and speed doubled, he looked at Silverwing with a humoured look on his face. "Where were we...ah yes." In what seemed to be no time at all, Hera Ledro was beside Silverwing with his blades swinging towards his head, in a pincer-like fashion. One from the left, one from the right...

Julius jumped away from Hera Ledro's, dodging the blades by mere inches. he landed safely next to a computer and extended his hands to activate something he had stored for Hera Ledro. -"You odious piece of good-for-nothing trash!! I had enough of your insolence!!"-Without removing his sight from Hera Ledro, Julius stroke the keys of the computer entering some sort of code. The computer accepted the password and suddenly a secret door was revealed behind the mad doctor. The doctor backed away from Hera Ledro while aiming his rapier to the dragon warrior. -"It's a shame this conversation had to end so abruptly, but there so many things to kill and so little time for me to do it. It's better to leave now and live to fight another day. This is not over Hera. Mark my words: I will not rest until I bring every single one being of that degenerate race of yours back to the hell where they belong."- Julius laughed as he closed the door before him, sealing the path between Hera Ledro and the mad doctor. The door was made of a nearly indestructible metal alloy that it would require an ferocious amount of strength to bring it down. As soon as the doctor's laughter faded away, the police and the rest of the reinforcements could be heard near Hera Ledro's location.

Daros was running up a large flight of stairs, getting tired rather quickly he breathed a sigh of relief when he reached the roof

Daros: now, where is the President?

A helicopter can be seen rising to Daros

Bush: we will meet back at the white house, just tell the guard that I sent you and show him this

Bush throws a strange metal disk roughly the size of a small dinner plate, completely unflawed and seemed to shine in the light

Daros: alright, do you get this sort of company often?

Bush: all shall be explained when you arrive.

And with that Bush closed the door and the Helicopter sped off

Daros: guess it is time for me to go..... I can't go down because of that.... thing and the doctor having a battle, guess my only option is to take the roof.

Daros ran to the edge of the roof and leapt, he could see some flagpoles which would slow his descent so he grabbed one, ripped the flag and grabbed the corners making a makeshift parachute.

Daros: that takes care of the descent, now how am I going to take care of getting to the white house? I guess I will have to improvise.

Daros flipped out of the makeshift parachute and hit the floor, as it was only a few feet drop it did not harm him, but he had to hurry as it was getting dark.

Hera Ledro looked in amusement at the door that Silverwing had closed behind him. Well, he thought. There are other ways out of here.

He turned calmly towards the door, where he had heard the sound of sirens and footsteps. Perfectly on cue, policemen and soldiers filed through the doorway, surrounding the Allsie on all sides.

Sighing, Hera looked at those that blocked the doorway, and looked up at the hole in the ceiling that the other person had made the boulders from, or so it had seemed at the time. Just as there were those lining the walls around Hera Ledro, so were there soldiers that were aiming rocket launchers and SMGs downwards. Looking at the soldiers on the same floor as him, Hera Ledro saw that they had moved away in such a radius that the shrapnel, upon reaching them, would deflect off of the shrapnel shields the policemen (and women) were now holding.

"It pains me to see you under the influence of Bush," said Hera Ledro, speaking to the collective, but staring at a single man, sweat pouring down the man's brow in petrification.

"Seriously, I do. I don't know how you guys have missed it, but he's been becoming steadily more brazen ever si-"

"FIRE!" a military commander yelled from above. Hera Ledro jumped as the soldiers cocked their weapons, and flew past the people above, watching as they hesitated to fire their missiles as he sped past them, right between all of them.

With his sword trailing behind him in the sheath on his back, Hera Ledro set a course south, away from the White House, where he would double back and go a different way to the White House. Looking behind, he saw that they had been sloppy.

There were no helicopters following him.

Hera Ledro landed on a rooftop, and sat there, waiting for Jake to communicate with him on his current situation.

It was really difficult to maintain his stay on the roof of the truck. But was was most dificult about the situation was that he had to carve a hole into the truck with bugs flying into his face at those high speeds. It was nigh unbearable for him. He could barely breathe without inhaling some manner of strange insect or another.

But when his tolerance for these conditions wore too thin, he simply carved a man-sized hole into the cargo area, slipping down as silently as he possibly could. He winced when the flap of metal that he carved out of the truck flew oof, smashing down onto the road behind them.

He needed to get to a civillization, and he prayed, that that was where he was going. THere were more strange souls in the world like the one that he had met before. He could feel it.

Nova was now alone in the basement, the book where the kiddy had picked it up from, and the only reason she knew she hadn’t been imagining it was when her sensor sweet piped down the data from orbit on “kiddymage”. A fat lotta good that was, because basically all the sensors came back with was “we have nu fucking clue how she did it” which she knew was data in and by its self but right now she needed something else… SLEEP!

Calling in from her car ride to the staff dorm she was out before her head hit the pillows, and the next morning at around 11. coming out of her bed she rolled out of her satin “Jammies” and walked into the bathroom, where she brushed her teeth and did all the other regular “early morning” things.

Walking out into her room she noticed she had made quite the mess last night all her clothing on the floor from the door inwards. She was lucky it had been close to 0530 when she had hit the sack or there would have been pictures online by now. And while she could get those removed easy enough she hated having to put up with her AI for when she needed things like that. He might have been coded for servitude that didn’t mean he wasn’t a complete fucking PITA when he felt like it. Hell he was worse then Ku at times. Well she had the ideal punishment all figured out now... She had always been a bit “odd” with punishments but the faculty tended not to care aslong as she returned the students in good shape…

Well she needed to be all stern and demeaning again, walking out the front door of her apartment she walked the mile to the primary school building, which took her a little longer then she liked, she’d need to start training again. Well she was still well on time in her office. Where she sat drinking a cup of good Italian Ristretto, Japanese coffee was better then the crap they served in America but still the Italians had it all figured out. Hell any country in which its considered “faux pas” to order the wrong kind of coffee at the wrong time was cool in her book. Well she was about to start o her second cup of the day while she was reading the Washington Post, Bush was going even more nuts now that he was “back home” and he was pretty bad back home. Well she hadn’t voted for the guy. When her 2 misbehaved students came in.

*Well well, if it isn’t Higa-chan and Sato-chan, have you 2 gotten some sleep? I do hope so ‘cause you 2 have some ‘splainin’ to do* Nova started *Well don’t just stand there, Sit… Want some coffee?* Nova continued while motioning to 2 chairs that stood in front of her desk. *Now you do know that the most you guys are to me is a troublesome menace, I mean if I want to find you I don’t care if your on the moon or something because I’ll find you…* Nova was in fact quite capable of tracking them on the moon which was of course unknown to the 2 students *So I think we’ll start with you telling me why you are so obsessed with the Liber Salus.*

*Well common, speak…*

At which point the 2 of them started to ease out a bit, they had heard some pretty intense stories about Nova’s punishments, and they started taking about a sick sister who was dying in a hospital bed somewhere and that modern medicine couldn’t help her anymore. At which point nova just piped the stream through to her AI for verification, it all seemed to check out, so they needed the book for a sick sister…

About a pot of coffee later they were done, and nova made them the offer. *Okay how is this? I know some people who can probably fix your sister but as usual theres a few strings attached, which are non conditional, A) you will never ask who, how, where, when or any of the sorts she leaves she gets better she gets back you don’t ask if you do ask we will find you and it wont be pretty, B) I will give you a little demonstration of how this finding will happen. I think you both took some of my classes? Then you should be farmiliar enough with the basic outlines. Here’s what we’ll do…* She said as she walked to one of her cupboards… getting out a few paintball markers, *I’ll loan the 2 of you these SL74 EGO paintball markers, these are state of the art, here’s some ammo and a pair of goggles and some chest protectors.* she said as she was walking to another cupboard. Those things fire off about 20 rounds per second and with all the mods on them you should be able to win versus little old me right, especially since I’ll be using this.* she said as she took out a rather pathetic looking pistol. I’ll give you ladies some privacy and I’ll see you in the park in 15, how’s that? Ooh there should be some t-shirts somewhere in that cupboard, the paint wont stain your clothing but it never hurts to be safe…

Nova walked out of the door and walked up to the park where she had agreed to meet them, she had gotten paintball written up on the curriculum and so they SHOULD be able to get at least some shots off before she found them. The part was more of a forest to be sure but still this was about as one sided as things got. A while later the 2 girls came walking up to her fully geared up and dressed for the occasion although the size O male shirts looked more like dresses on the rather petit Japanese girls. *Well here’s how we’ll do this, in this forest you gals can go and hide, I’ll give you half an hour to get ready for me and then I’ll come in after you. Remember each of you has well over 2 thousand rounds; (OT: yes there are paintballers who use this carry this kind of ammo don’t ask me why tho) while I have 8 rounds.* she said while sliding in the clip of her pistol.

*Time starts… Now*

OOC: Remember guys, check in the Discussion Thread. Even though it may say it hasn't been posted in, there could be edits, as edits don't show on the posting times...for some reason...

IC: Jake had to update Hera Ledro, and he knew it. Thinking on it, though, he wondered how Tai and the others were doing on the other planets. Hopefully they were doing well. He wanted to see Hunter and Brett gain, as well as the rest of the gang.

Taking his mind off that issue, he opened the link to Hera's mind, not without noticing the man dive into the inside of the truck. Hey, gramps.

He felt Hera pay close attention to him, and he started explaining promptly. I don't have much time. I've destroyed the site at Yucca Mountain. How did things go up there?

He felt Heras mind hesitate before replying. It seems as though our old friend, Julius A. Silverwing is back.

Apprehension and disgust shadowed Jake's face as he asked, Silverwing? What does he want?

He wants some weapon, I don't remember its name. Apparently, it can disable a Dragons ability. But that's not a huge problem, really. My powers don't depend on anything Dragonic about me, and it'll only disable your Dragon form. All that happens in your Dragon form is a strength increase, so it won't affect you really. It's the actual village of Dragons I'm worried about. They won't be able to use their elemental abilities to defend themselves, and they can only remain hidden so long.

However, when speaking of you, myself, my brothers, and our students, there is only one weapon that places him at an advantage over us. I've managed to hide it well, and destroyed its physical form. He won't be able to find it, ever, as only the pure of heart can obtain and use it, now.

Jake's mind betrayed his curiosity, even though he tried to hide it. Giving up his pretence, Jake asked, What weapon?

Soul Calibur, a weapon that was long ago hidden by myself and Seigfreid, and will remain hidden. But, why don't you have a lot of time?

Jake slapped himself in the head. Oh yeah! There's this guy that seems to have some power, and he seems pretty cool. I'm gonna see if I can get him to follow us. Now that Silverwing's back in action, we need all the help we can get, right?

We needed as much help as we could get before, Jake. But you're right, we need people. But, be careful. We can't afford to lose you, s if it turns nasty, get out of there.

Jake acknowledged and closed the link. Seeing the truck turn the corner to go to the next town, Jake ran after it. It was only moving at 60 kilometers per hour, so he was able to catch up to it fairly quickly.

Running alongside the back of the truck, Jake put on a burst of speed and jumped ont the roof. He swung into the hole and looked right at the man.

"So," he said. "You decided to follow me?"

OOC: I'm not bothering with seperate brackets for English and Japanese for now as all all spoken words are Japanese for now. I will when it starts to matter.
Also I don't have word on this PC she there are bount to be a lot spellings errors.

IC:
Ravona landed near an old factory site. Though the factory itself hadn't been used in years a small light burned inside. Looking at the light Ravona mumbled to herself:
"It seems they're still here."
Ravona walked towards the heavy metal door that lead into the factory hall. Though old and almost rusted shut the door opened itself after a single hand gesture from Ravona. As the loud noise of the rusted doors died out Ravona entered the building and two heads turned her way. Two young girls were sitting next to a small camp fire, the eldest of the two was 15, only 2 years younger then Ravona, while the other was 10.
"I see you are still here." Ravona spoke as she walked towards a metal staircase leading up.
The elder of the two sisters bowed and said: "I'm sorry, we'll leave as soon as possible."
Ravona turned her head away "I have no desire of chasing you out.... just don't die, having a couple of corpses would be annouying."
The elder sister looked a little pale, and replied with a single "Yes."

Ravona quickly assest the two from the corner of her eye as she climbed the stairs. The two sisters had come here yesterday, Ravona guessed they had run away from home or no longer had any, the elder sister looked pretty dependable while the younger seemed to rely solely on her sister.
Ravona had only spoken a few words with them when they arrived and only to tell them that could stay as long as they wouldn't come into the room Ravona had claimed for her own, a small room which was probably once used as a recreation room for the factory workers.

The two didn't seem to do as well as yesterday, they had come with a single bag of clothes for the two of them and no food or water. Ravona doubted they had money to buy anything today so probably they had not left these halls. If this continued they would die within two days. Ravona decided that for now it would be best if she herself rested and looked into this matter next morning.

Ravona reached the room, the door was locked from the inside and only Ravona who could move the handle with telekinesis was capable of entering without forcing the door. After entering Ravona closed the door securely behind her and lay down a the improvised bed made from a pile of blankets and clothing. With a few handmovements Ravona protected the area with magic and closed her eyes. Minutes afterwards she fell asleep.

Morning came and Ravona got out of bed, Ravona silently opened the door and walked downstairs. The metal stairs were even colder then before after the night though Ravona had gotten used to walking around barefoot so she no longer felt it. After reaching the end of the stairs she walked towards the two sisters that were laying on a think layer of clothes with their arms around each other in an attempt to fight the cold night.

Both were breathing though the younger sisters face was bright red. Without waking them up Ravona touched the younger sisters face, it felt like a fever. Though a fever was usually nothing someone should felt alarmed about the younger girl had not eaten and slept in the cold for two days. Her body was too weak at the moment and without medicine it could be fatal. Ravona looked at the older sister, the older sister seemed like she was doing fine. Because she was older her body was stronger and hence more resillient to the cold and nutricion.
Ravona reached into her cloak and took out half a bread as well as a bottle with water and lay it down next to the sisters. Though it wasn't even for the two of them Ravona didn't want to make them think she was looking after them rather then handing out scraps.

Then Ravona walked outside, she knew this world was more advanced then the ones she had been too before so perhaps they also had something to cure the fever, Ravona would have used magic if such thing had been possible but such magics were not possible with Ravona powers.

"Well, it's not everyday that I meet warriors like you than bring out my senses like that. But yeah, for some reason or another, I wound up in this crazy, confusing world. Plus, you don't seem to be a bad guy, but you do seem to need a bit of help. Though you're going to have to fill me in on things first."

He wouldn't be lying if he said that he was a little bit startled. Hudson found his hand instinctively on his blade. Hudson's sense were flaring up again. He couldn't help it, he just had to ask.

"There's more to you than my eyes can physically see right? Correct me if i'm wrong, but there just seems to be... something different about you. I an't help but feel it."

When He arrived in this cold world, he felt like his energy had been set back to square one again. But it turned out that every living thing on this planet had some sort of energy signature, that he felt inside of him. And when he closed his eyes, everyone had some sort of heat, some light. This one right here though, well, he had a very bright light.

But why couldn't he see his? Was he able to? Was he allowed to?

His mind wandered momentarily while still in conversation with his new visitor.

Jake watched intently as the man spoke.

Crazy, confusing world? Jake thought. I wonder if he's from this dimension. Heh, I wonder what he'd think if he found out that there's no such thing as a soul here, not an immortal one, anyways.

The man continued, speaking somewhat cautiously (Jake had noticed him place his hand on his blade).

"There's more to you than my eyes can physically see right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but there just seems to be... something different about you. I can't help but feel it."

Jake nodded. "Yeah, I'm very different." In a whirl of flame, Jake transformed into his Dragon form, more than six and a half feet tall, the black and gold patterns adorning his crimson scales flashing in the sunlight that came through the hole in the roof of the truck. His wings, inner membrane gold and outer membrane red, were lined with black scales along the limbs that held the membrane. His golden spines ran along his tail down to the black tip.

His voice unchanged (which could be slightly unsettling to some, considering the radical change in his body), he said, "I'm part of a resistance force, protecting others that have the same blood as me. Protecting the Dragons, and the rest of the world. I hope it doesn't come to it, but we may end up protecting the universe."

Jake leaned against the wall before continuing. "Right now, you're in the host country of a relatively-silent war that is being waged, the United States of America. Their president has declared war on the whole world, because most of the world was harboring Dragons without his knowledge. He didn't care that they didn't know they were harboring them, he just hated them. Either way, he's been looking for an excuse to try to take over the world anyways (kinda stereotypical of a world leader, huh?)."

"It's really only been going on for a couple months. We haven't gotten down to any real fighting, but we've already tried to stop them from moving any further. They control more than half the world, and our leader (and my grandfather), Hera Ledro, has had to relocate several Dragon populations to other parts of the world, some even to other planets. We've managed to keep the ones on Earth from being destroyed, but it's getting more and more difficult." Sighing, he said, almost in an undertone, "Man do we need help."

Shaking his head, and changing back into his human form, Jake looked up at the man, saying, "But I'm not here on a recruiting mission. I just came to introduce myself." He held out his hand. "My name's Jake, what's yours?"

Nova waited about 10 minutes before following the 2 of them into the forest, walking into it without even bothering to keep cover, if they beat her then she deserved to be hit in her book. After a few minutes she hunched down and took some time to check out the ground, it seemed they had done something smart, they had ditched there cleats which while providing plenty of traction also left a trail even a mole could follow. It seemed they had shifted to sneakers which were a lot harder to trail. Nova had never had the patience for tracking, so instead she searched back in her mind to what she still remembered from their tactics and deduced they’d head to the woodsball field she had made in the forest and try to get a defensible position in one of the bunkers. This would be fun because Nova was going to try to do this without “cheating”.

So she took one of the back roads to the field and sure enough a while later she saw them sitting in one of the bunkers, middle of the field with a decent view of the surrounding area. Nova would have to actually try this time. Checking her clip and her pressure she snuck around to behind the bunker. And then after tightening her laces and zipping up her shirt to keep “everything in place” -she really needed to get back into the habit of wearing sturdier underwear rather then the lacy “Agent Provocateur” kind, because while they were better for wearing as far as material was concerned they weren’t designed for the kind of abuse Nova habitually put them through. But anyways, after doing all the prep work she made a quick dash for the fort they were hiding in. With a bit of luck and a bit of skill she made it before they had seen her, since by now they were wondering if she was going to show up at all or some such. Hopping over the backside of the fort she was standing right behind them and then she breathed into Higa-chans ear “Got any last wishes??” while aiming her gun at Sato-chan. At which point they almost jumped out of there skin. Hell nova almost considered this punishment enough, *do you 2 want me to actually shoot you or will you yield?* It didn’t take much prompting for them to actually yield, point blank paintballs were very painful at the least, and could leave nasty bruises. *Okay now that we’ve proven we can get to you hear and that I have already had your sister relocated to the best hospital in the world proves I can get to you anywhere on the planet. I would rather have I didn’t have to do this again, as its rather troublesome.*

And with that said she turned around and left the 2 visibly shaken students in the fort in the woods before calling over her shoulder *I’d like my stuff back if you could drop that off on your way home…* she spend most of the rest of the day grading some papers and making some phonecalls to “her people” mostly about the surgery and with assorted branches requesting info on “kiddymage” as her file has been named and doing some other assorted work. On days like this she missed the field, she didn’t have the disposition for a fucking deskjob. Well she could always get back to the field anytime she wanted to, its not like this school could get back to her anyway. Well at around 1800 the call came, the surgery had been successful and the memory extraction had worked flawlessly, they had implanted a new set of memories involving County general hospital in Chicago where she had been operated on by Doctors John Carter, Mark Greene and Peter Benton, of which Nova could appreciate the irony as could any American kid from the 90ies as they were from the fictional series ER over which many a girl had dreamed, especially over Clooney as Dr. Ross and Wyle as Dr. Carter and just as she was about to hang up the 2 students seemed to have come into her office. *Good news the Hospital’s on the phone and they say everything is all right, Here talk to them* she said as she stuck the phone in the direction of Sato-chan.

Dr. Silverwing arrived to the Silverwing Research Center in Manhattan. They were expecting him after the incident where the rebels attacked and nearly killed the "good" doctor. Several units were placed under the command of Dr. Silverwing to protect the Research Center, and even accessing the lower levels of this underground facility were a difficult task. The laboratories consisted on eight ground levels, with nine sub-levels and two testing areas.

The doctor used his ID card to access the High Security Level in the fifth floor, and headed towards the laboratory in which they were experimenting on humans and dragons alike, making genetic crosses in an attempt to create the perfect soldier, one stronger than the other two races. Dr Silverwing was pleased, soon his experiments would be successful and he would find the way to strengthen himself and be as powerful as either Jake or Hera Ledro. The doctor sat on a chair and turned on his desktop computer. As he pressed the keys browsing through files and programs, he finally stumbled across the exact blood that could match with the blood of dragons. Miraculously, his own blood could fuse with the blood samples and DNA taken from the bones and corpses other dragons, one being an ancestor of Hera Ledro himself.

"Soon Hera Ledro, soon I'll make you pay for what you've done. This planet belongs to humans and not to dragons. Us humans are the dominant species of this world, and dragons belong and should stay in the past..."

As soon as he and Jake disconnected minds, Hera stopped mid-flight. He was going to be going to Washington, to intercept Bush, but he felt Silverwing's energy move elsewhere, towards New York.

As much as I hate to admit it, Hera thought. Silverwing is much more of a threat than the entire US army, I'd better follow him.

Hera turned his attention towards Manhattan, and shot off, feeling Silverwing's energy already in the city.

It only took him 20 minutes to arrive there, and he perched himself on the centre pole of the Empire State Building. He closed his eyes, and flared his mind, searching for Silverwing's energy. He found it, only a few miles north from where Hera was now perched.

Hera jumped from building to building, so fast that he was seen only by a few stray pigeons as he pushed off the rooftops.

He landed on a tall building a few moments later, and looked down. In the ground, not so much as 4 feet above it, was a building, constructed much like a bunker, in that the entrance dipped into the ground.

Making a foolish move, Hera jumped onto the top of the building, and an alarm sounded. Dammit, he thought.

Hera blasted a hole in the top of the roof with his energy, and the jumped off, hiding far above on another side of a building. He kept close watch, noticing several soldiers filing in through the hole and the entrances; and when the last soldier was about to go in, Hera jumped down and grabbed him, bringing the soldier back to the rooftop of the building he'd just been hiding behind.

Hera pinned the man's legs and arms against the wall with his long tail, and spoke directly to the man.

"Alright, human, speak. What is that building, and why is Julius' energy down there?"

The man said nothing, but once Hera brought his fingers towards the man's forehead, charging them with energy, he spat it out (even though Hera had no real intention of harming him).

"It's the Silverwing Research Institute! He's down there, studying Dragons!"

Silverwing Research Institute? thought Hera. Now they're naming research centres after this guy? What next. Returning to normal speech, Hera said, "How can he study Dragons if...Oh no..." Fearful that his suspicions were true Hera flared his mind again, delving into the energies deeper than the upper floor. He sensed several Dragons.

"Dammit!" he roared. He whacked the man across the head with the flat of his blade, knocking the soldier unconscious. Hera placed the man on the ground near the bunker, and jumped into the hole, dispatching several soldiers with his tail blade.

He ran along the hallways, his mind racing. Julius, he thought. You are SO dead now, how dare you experiment on Dragons!

"The name is Hudson. Hudson Ortusk. Pleased to meet you..."

Hudson's hand had retreated quickly after shiaking his. It was a bit much to take in all at once. It seemed fairly farfetched, yet gravely shocking; real. But hey, if he could get transported to an alternate world through a mysterious flame (which he thought had burned him), then he could certainly believe in dargons.

But there was one thing that jumped out in his mind. One thing that caught his attention, proving that what was happening was in fact real.

Hera Ledro

"Did you say Hera Ledro?"

"So it's true then... This isn't just some joke. My family line has a bit of a history with Hera Ledro. Sorta'... I'm not quite fully sure but there are stories about him. I don't suppoe that I could see him."

He was really intrigued now.

After countless experiments and extracting the DNA from the very core of the dragon's blood cells, Dr Silverwing was starting to feel the results of his experiments, the powers of the dragons flowing through him. He felt their anger, their sorrow, the endless tortures they were forced to endure in order to feed the mad doctor's ambitions. Now having control over the bodies of this mutated dragons, Silverwing was near fulfilling his dream. His right arm showed signs of mutations, scales covering his three finger clawed hand and his right eye turning yellow. The doctor's thirst for nourishment evolved into a deeper need, he had developed an unquenchable thirst for blood and souls of the dragons.

"Yes.....this is what I've been searching for...."
