Land of Dragons

OOC: I hate to do this in here, but you do know that Hera's parents and sister have been dead for about 2 million years (let alone his ancestors), right Julius? And when are you gonna use your other character?

IC: Hera blasted a hole in the floor, and descended to the fourth floor, disabling the weapons of four soldiers with his sword before knocking them out with his tail blade.

He could feel Silverwing's power, it was growing. But, more than that, it was taking on a Dragonic identity, though it was a hybrid energy with his own, original energy.

What is he doing? thought Hera. Is he trying to fuse with a Dragon or something?

Hera blasted another hole in the floor, and descended to the fifth level: Silverwing's level.

Hera Ledro ran down the halls, stunned that there were no guards on this floor...

Finally, he felt Silverwing's power in a room at the end of the hall, and blasted down the door. Ignoring the scream of someone who was obviously behind the door, Hera bounded into the room, and came face to face with Silverwing. Hera's stomach clenched in revulsion.

Standing there was Silverwing, but different than the Silverwing he knew. Silverwing's whole right side appeared mutated; his arm bulged, showing scales and a three-clawed hand (Hera assumed that he had used a Japanese Long for his experiment), and his left eye changed to yellow, the pupil little more than a slit in the bright light of the room.

"What have you done, Silverwing?" Hera muttered. "You've damned yourself...you won't survive with that body..." Hera remembered the old attempts of a doctor who had tried the very same thing that Silverwing was now doing. "You will be unable to survive, the power will make your body explode, your thirst will become unquenchable..." In a flash, Hera split his blade and shot after Silverwing. "Because I won't let you sate it!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Jake nodded. "You'll probably be able to see him soon enough, we're kinda seperated now." Sitting on a case of beer (and looking at it in disgust), Jake looked straight at Hudson.

"Well, gramps and I can travel between dimensions, I wouldn't be surprised if you had a history with him. What kind of history, did he do something to you guys?"

"Ah you little know me...if I explode....I'll make sure to take down this planet to hell with me..."

Julius stood from his armchair and turned to face Hera Ledro. The mad doctor thought that the blood he found was from Hera Ledro's ancestors, but he was wrong, something more caused this sudden mutation and the key to this enigma lied within Julius' own blood. As soon as Julius sensed Hera's sword getting closer, the mad doctor used his newly deformed arm and with his claw he grabbed and stopped the sword. Julius smirked as he struggle to keep the blade away from his face. The mad doctor then slightly pushed the sword and backed away from it, dodging Hera Ledro by mere inches.

"Fool, I have no need for dragon's blood to sustain my life, but I need it to gain the power I seek." -Julius closed his eyes and smiled sarcastically, as he then opened his eyes and fixed them on Hera Ledro- "It's just that I find a grim satisfaction on how it feels to feed on your brothers and sisters...."

Julius transformed his mutated right forearm into an arm sword, as hard and strong as the hardest of steels. The blade was three feet long and one foot wide, it resemblances a giant spearhead with dark red edges. The mad doctor aimed his arm sword to Hera Ledro.

"I once though that humans were the future and I was wrong. I am the future. I am the next step of evolution! As for you and the humans, evolution has its dead ends. You shall perish. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Jake's genetic code as soon as I find him...."-In a burst of a demonic laughter, Julius dashed forward and swung his blade in downward arc to Hera Ledro's head.

Ravona looked at the three men laying at her feet. After finding out that there were medicine in the places called hospitals Ravona decided to visit one. Finding one had been easy enough but when people at the reception were unwilling to simply give her the medicine Ravona had decided to simply take them herself.<o:p></o:p>
Something that apparently didn’t go well with the security. Still the three men that had tried to restrain her had simply been slammed into the ground by an invisible force. Ravona turned away and started opening one door after an other while patients and staff were backing off. After a few doors Ravona heard lots of footsteps coming towards her, Ravona looked at the direction and saw more security guards however these seemed to be armed with weapons similar in design to what the girl she met last had carried.<o:p></o:p>
Ravona erected a force field as the guards released a warning shot. Unlike gun Ravona saw yesterday these weren’t enhanced through magic and therefore not even worth a second look. With a single gesture the newly arrived guards were scattered around the corridor.<o:p></o:p>
Opening an other door Ravona found a locked door that didn’t prove to be an obstacle either. After blowing the door away with her mind Ravona stepped inside and guessed she had found what she had been looking for. There were many shelves filled with bottles and packages. In the corner of the room a white coated man was cowering away.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
As Ravona came closer the man seemed more and more afraid. Ravona grabbed the mans head with hands and forced him to look at her: “What medicine are against fevers?”<o:p></o:p>
The doctors eyes were filled with fear but still he managed to sputter a few words: “Fe-Fever? Anti-bi-bi-otics I-I guess.”<o:p></o:p>
“Antibiotics? Where are those.”<o:p></o:p>
“Over th-there.” The doctor pointed at a certain shelf “3rd row second from the right.”<o:p></o:p>
Ravona let the man go and he sank to the ground. Ravona looked down on him and before she walked away she remarked: “You seem to be in dire need of new pants.” After that walked to the medicine, there were dozens of bottles. Ravona didn’t know how much she would need but simply took 4 bottles with her before creating a portal and stepping through.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
A moment later Ravona found herself back in her sanctuary. Ravona left her room and walked downstairs where she found the older sister placing a wet towel on the younger sisters head. As Ravona came down the older sister quickly turned her head towards Ravona and apparently surprised at her presence.<o:p></o:p>
“Ah it’s you.” The girl turned her head back to her sister. “Thank you for the food. Still I don’t think that alone will be enough to save her.”<o:p></o:p>
Ravona felt the bottles in her pocket but decided to try and find out a little bit more before giving it to her.<o:p></o:p>
“Isn’t there anyone you know who can help her?” Ravona sat down on the last step of the stairs.<o:p></o:p>
“We had… problems.. with our step-father. So we ran away, but if I ask anyone I know my father will immediately find out.”<o:p></o:p>
“How about your mother?”<o:p></o:p>
“Mother won’t don’t anything. She wouldn’t dare to defy him. We’re completely alone.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
“Then let me ask you something else. What do you plan to do now? Will you just rot away here?”<o:p></o:p>
The sister didn’t look up. “As long as she lives and becomes happy I don’t care what happens to me.”<o:p></o:p>
Ravona smirked: “How foolish. If that’s what you really think you’re a bigger idiot of a sister then she deserves.”<o:p></o:p>
Seemingly agitated the older sister turned her head and shouted: “What’s that supposed to mean?!”<o:p></o:p>
Ravona’s demeanour didn’t show any emotion: “What I mean is that if you’re dead there will be no happiness for either of you. Your first thoughts should be on how to survive with the two of you. And happiness is not something that will come easily. To become happy you mustn’t wait but grab it with your own hands and keep hold of it.”<o:p></o:p>
The girl was silent for a few moments and then asked: “Are you saying you are happy? Living like this?”<o:p></o:p>
“Hmm. Good question. I definitely not dislike my current live. Compared to before this is heaven. I have no fears, few desires and as long as they don’t try to hurt me I don’t mind anyone coming here.”<o:p></o:p>
“You’re satisfied with living from the scraps of what others eat? Begging for things others take for granted?”<o:p></o:p>
“It seems you are misunderstanding something. I’ve only once begged, and that was for my life. If I want something I simply take it.”<o:p></o:p>
“You mean steal it? But that’s..”<o:p></o:p>
“Bad? Do you really think it’s bad to simply take something you need? Especially if they don’t? With such logic you may just as well think taking the life of animals to eat is bad as well.”<o:p></o:p>
“That…. that’s… different.”<o:p></o:p>
“Really? How about this?” Ravona took out one of the bottles from her pocket and threw it towards the girl who caught it and looked at the label.<o:p></o:p>
“This? How?”<o:p></o:p>
“I took it.” Ravona said “It should help your sister right? Will you use it or shall I bring it back?”<o:p></o:p>
“This… this…” The girl was obviously struggling with the idea of using stolen goods but in this case it was to save her sister. After a few seconds she opened the bottle and took out a pill and gave it to her sister with some water. When she was done Ravona said: “I’m glad we agree. Well I have things do so try to think about how you want to survive for now.”<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
With that Ravona head back upstairs.<o:p></o:p>

Hera Ledro felt something familiar about Julius, as though his change in power was similar to someone he already knew, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Hera sidestepped as his blade missed, and he turned around to face Silverwing.

"Fool, I have no need for dragon's blood to sustain my life, but I need it to gain the power I seek. It's just that I find a grim satisfaction on how it feels to feed on your brothers and sisters...."

Hera Ledro would have laughed, had Silverwing not just insulted the ones he'd long since vowed to protect.

Almost in an undertone, Hera said, "You don't actually think that they are blood related to me, do you? Oh Silverwing, there are so many errors in your theories.

"I once though that humans were the future and I was wrong. I am the future. I am the next step of evolution! As for you and the humans, evolution has its dead ends. You shall perish. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Jake's genetic code as soon as I find him...."

Before Hera could reply, Silverwing let out a horrible, demonic laugh, and lunged for Hera.

Now, Hera was pissed. He'd threatened Jake, and that was not going to happen. Now, Silverwing would know what it was he truly faced.

Hera stepped to the side, parrying Silverwing's blade, and turning around to face him, eyes closed.

"You know, Silverwing," he said, voice shaking with hatred. "You should count yourself lucky: you're one of the few who has actually driven me to take this transformation. Don't flatter yourself either, you're hardly strong enough to really warrant this; you've just pissed me off so much that I'm not going to fool around." Hera's eyes flared open and he tensed his body, becoming a Ledrai Allsie.

"So, why don't I turn this up a notch." Hera held his right arm at his side, dangling but flexed as he began his transformation.

But, in the instant it began, it was over. In a split second, a huge plume of fire-like golden energy rose from around Hera's body, temporarily blocking him from view, and causing dust and stone to float in the air from the sheer power he now held.

When the dust cleared, a different Hera Ledro was standing there.

The colouration of his fur, hair, nails, and tail blade had not changed from that of a Ledrai Allsie, but he was even fiercer than before. A lightning-like aura charged around him, electrical energy that was so great in his nervous system, that it actually sparked around the air in front of him at random intervals.

His hair had lengthened somewhat, and become much sharper and more defined, giving him a fierce look that coincided with his now-sharper, yet much leaner, figure; his muscles lean, but even more powerful than before.

With his Dragon Blade split, held in both hands, and with this transformation, Hera was even fiercer, and much stronger than before. Now, he was thrice the power he was normally, and he would soon show Silverwing what it meant to anger an Allsie.

Hera Ledro's voice, now deeper, though curiously smoother than before, spoke from between the lips so alien to Silverwing. "Let's go."

In what was little more than an instant, Hera Ledro was behind Julius, his tail curled around, sharp end of the blade thrusting for the head of Julius A. Silverwing.

"Yes, draw more of that power. The stronger you become, the richer your blood will taste...."

With great effort and almost failing to block Hera Ledro's attacks by mere inches, Julius was able to parry Hera's blades with two swift movements of his arm sword. The battle became fiercer as the swords of these men clashed countlessly against each other, and shards of steel flew away. In the midst of battle, while Julius sensed Hera Ledro's right hand sword dangerously getting closer and closer, the mad doctor dodged the attack with much difficulty. It was clear that, even though he gained an amazing physical enhancement, Julius' powers weren't enough to keep an even battle with Hera Ledro and the mad doctor would be easily beaten. The mad doctor, trying to catch a breath, was panting and sweating as he stared to the newly transformed Hera Ledro.

"You...may have gained the upper hand this time....but hear this! You have not seen the last of me....farewell Hera...and watch out....Uncle Julius is coming for little Jake...hahahahaha...catch me if you can."

After bursting in a demonic laughter, Julius used his arm to unleash a beam of energy to the roof, destroying it and leaving a huge hole leading to the surface. Two huge wings sprouted from Julius' back, and the mad doctor flew away through the new exit he recently opened.

Hera was effortlessly toying with Silverwing, allowing him the chances to escape his blade. Hera's blade flashed through the battle, always moving slow enough to give Julius a chance to dodge it. Now Hera was just being sadistic: that was an effect of the transformation, that the user becomes significantly more cocky, possibly even somewhat arrogant. However, instead of arrogance, Hera would adopt a more...playful attitude in fights.

Finally, Julius seemed to be tiring out. He knew he was no match for Hera on an even battlefield, and Hera could notice Julius panting.

"You...may have gained the upper hand this time....but hear this! You have not seen the last of me....farewell Hera...and watch out....Uncle Julius is coming for little Jake...hahahahaha...catch me if you can."

Hera looked unconcerned as Silverwing blasted a beam of energy through the roof, and took off, unfurling a new pair of Dragon-like wings, though they seemed different, also familiar to Hera, as though they were part of the same creature that gave Silverwing the differing power signature.

Hera crouched and then took off after Silverwing, folding his wings around his body to give him less wind resistance as he flashed through the air. He easily caught up to Silverwing, and flew upside down underneath the monster.

"You know," Hera said softly. "You really shouldn't make threats to people who are more powerful than you. The real kicker is, no matter how powerful I am, and I haven't even begun to show you my real power, Jake is significantly stronger than me." Without warning, Hera unfurled his wings and slashed diagonally, straight for Silverwing's head.

Hera's attack past closely to Julius' head, leaving a deep scar on his forehead. Julius brought his hands to his forehead and yelled in agony as his face was bathed in his own blood. As he hovered in mid air, Julius' eyes stared from behind his hands to the dragon champion. He began to smirk, then gave faint laughs until he was possessed by a burst of laughter. As he revealed his face to Hera Ledro, something unbelievable happened: Julius' wound healed significantly fast similar to when Hera uses his regenerative abilities. The mad doctor's eyes were closed while he kept laughing, until he suddenly stopped and opened his eyes, the expression of Silverwing's face was of complete disgust towards Hera Ledro. -"You are so arrogant, yet in your mightiness I see a slight ignorance which makes you vulnerable. Your status makes you underestimate your opponents...something you should not do and you will learn now...- Julius's eyes turned bright red, his hair rose and changed to silver and his whole body was engulfed in a fiery aura of shadows and flames.-"The hard way!!!!"-The mad doctor underwent a powerful transformation as fearsome flames enveloped his deformed right arm. -"Soul collector!!!"-He rose his right claw and opened it wide revealing one of the sources of his power: the Divine Dragon orb. This orb allowed him to channel the energies of fallen dragons as use it as nourishment. As Julius summoned forth the souls of all those dragons that were victims of his vile experiments, he absorbed their essences, and his power was boosted significantly. Julius then closed his claw tightly and lowered his right arm as he pointed it to Hera Ledro. His arm then morphed into a wide sword, the voices of Hera's friends could be seen screaming and echoing within the newly created weapon. In mere seconds, Julius dashed towards Hera and aimed his attacks to Hera's left shoulder.

Daros was navigating the dark streets in pursuit on the helicopter, seeing Bush was going there it only made sense to follow, when the helicopter started to overlap buildings it was clear he would have to gain altitude.

"How am I going to get up there? ah, I will just have to go through the front door of a tall building" Daros headed over to a nearby building that stretched high enough to gain height, he walked over to the door but it was locked, quite obvious considering how dark it was outside. "I will have to find another way in, or, I could just bust in, what the hell!" Daros took out his Mageblade and imbuing it with earth he created a small tunnel inside.

The interior wa not too grand, it contained a few shops for gardening and other outside items, he took an elevator at the other end of the hallway he pressed the button for the roof, it seemed odd that security had not stopped him, but no matter, at least he was inside.

From the roof he could see that the helicopter was almost out of eyeshot so he quickly ran and started to jump across the buildings using flips, jumps, climbing and other skills, when he had caught up to the helicopter he jumped to it and grabbed the bars on the bottom and held on until they reached the white house.

Sunday morning was a good time, sleeping in she had most of her grading done. So she was sleeping in when all of a sudden she got a message from someone “higher up in the food chain” if she was available for some “problem solving” apparently 2 high power reality deviant were duking it out in downtown New York which would require some mediation since one of them had been employed by the primogenitors and seemed to have jumped the fence. Before she had finished reading the message she was up and about and getting dressed. Her shower and makeup would have to wait. She was lucky her spaceship was about to cross the horizon for <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:State> so she’d be there in about 35 seconds. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
34.6 seconds later she was standing on top of the Chrysler building and was assembling her C-20a canister rifle. She had also noticed that they were in the process of field-testing the c-25a, she’d need to look in on that when she had some time. Finding the two of them wasn’t a big problem they were lighting up the sky like a Christmas tree. So taking aim she lined up a shot and was more then a little supprised when one of them was Hera, she had read his file and found it odd that he seemed to be struggling. Well she had her orders regarding him he was not to be touched until he had outlived his usefulness. Loading a round of Gauss ammo she took aim for the traitor. “May god have mercy on your soul for we won’t.” She said as she squeezed of the round and sent it flying for his head. The round would take out a rather large part of his cerebral cortex which should be sufficient to end the fight or relocate to a less obvious location. I mean they were working very hard to make sure no one bothered them and then a bunch of fucking hot headed idiots seem to feel the need to fuck up their plans. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
OOC: Let’s see if we can get this showboat moving along a bit. <o:p></o:p>

Hera Ledro, startled by the appearance of Silverwing's new weapon, Hera Ledro rolled quickly to the side. He didn't fold his left wing in time, though, and the blade ran along his membrane, leaving two folds of membrane limp.

Hera grunted in pain. It wasn't that he didn't feel it, it hurt like hell. However, he couldn't allow his pain to distract him from the fight; it was a part of the doctrine of Allsie fighting.

Hera was extremely disconcerted by Silverwing's healing abilities: they were identical to those of one with Allsie blood. Hera was really wondering if Julius had used the blood of a Dragon now, Dragons could not heal that quickly, regardles that their healing was indeed quicker than that of a normal creature's.

Hera positioned himself a few feet above Silverwing, and shot off the the side, drawing his hands behind him.

With his power charged, Hera floated beside Silverwing (so as not to damage the Earth with his attack), and thrust his hands towards the abomination, the energy it took blocking out his sensors, so he only managed to see the bullet whizzing past his head. Hera paid it no mind, though, and focused on the task at hand, performing the attack that had killed many.

"Dragon Cannon!" Hera roared, blasting a huge beam of energy, the tip of which had the head of a Dragon, opening it's maw to consume the abomination in a blaze of Chi.

Upon reaching her room Ravona closed the door and took out a silver bowl. The bowl, inscribed with magical symbols was carefully placed in the middle of the room before Ravona filled it with water she kept in a special flask.<o:p></o:p>
Ravona sat down in front of the bowl with her legs folded beneath her and she closed her eyes. When she opened them again they were glowing with a feint blue light. Ravona held the bowl in her hands and the water rippled and images started to show on the surface. Even though the none of the images seemed to appear for more then a fraction of a second Ravona could still see their meaning through her enhanced senses, in fact without the support of magic one would need years to understand their meaning. After a few minutes Ravona let go and the images disappeared, with the images still in her mind Ravona went to bed and meditated on the things she had learned.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
The images had shown Ravona many things of importance, amongst them the important forces of this world. Ravona had seen people who held power that most mortals couldn’t even dream off. Beings that could change the fate of this world were hiding from the public face as well as each other. Even though Ravona had learned many things she knew not all of the images could be trusted, for such divinations included present, past and future in no particular order. She had seen people who fought each other in one image being allies in an other and visa versa, and these had seemingly been very close to each other seeing how Ravona couldn’t determine how far away they were. Still learning about the Alsies, the technocrats as well as Bush had given Ravona some insight on what needed to be done on this world.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
This world was rotten, the moral decline that society was experiencing was not something that had happened in one day. Probably thousands of years ago this world had been abandoned by the gods and other forces that controlled the universe. Instead seeds had been left so that the people on this world would eventually destroy themselves, though some would argue that it would be easier to just burn the entire surface of the world. For gods whether it would take an instant or a few thousand years didn’t really matter. After all both were a blink of an eye for them.<o:p></o:p>
Still the people of this world didn’t seem to notice the darkness that was left here, they continued with their lives while the circle of decline slowly sped up, if Ravona was correct this world would be beyond saving within a few centuries.<o:p></o:p>
Still this didn’t need to be so, though abandoned within the absence of gods and being on the path of destruction Ravona could see endless possibilities. There were several creatures on this world with power that could measure up to some of the stronger beings in this existence. If she could gather these people and use their power to a single goal Ravona might be able to avert this fate. Of course to fully make this happen Ravona would pretty much need to control the entire world, and from what Ravona had seen that would not be easy. Many country’s, cities and regions had at least one creature of considerable power that would not like to give up his position to anyone. And even if they knew many wouldn’t care about this worlds decline, some were even aware already and just had been infected so much that they could no longer care.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
After thinking a little more Ravona decided that the first thing she would need to do was convincing at least some of the ruling entities in the world to work for her. Once she had gathered a little more power she could making more elaborate plans. Besides gathering servants Ravona would need to increase her own power as well. Though she was skilled in the magics she specialized in these were not helpful for controlling the world.<o:p></o:p>
Controlling the world would require mind magic, she knew there were spells that were capable of effecting large numbers of people when used properly. And though total mind control was impossible simply shifting their attitude a little in her favour shouldn’t be too hard, providing she could find suitable spells.<o:p></o:p>
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p>
Fortunately Ravona had also found an answer to that, somewhere on this world lay a ancient tomb, within in it lay a key that lead to the ‘infinite library’, a place which was said to contain all the knowledge of the universe. Ravona had some vague leads on it’s location unfortunately she had little time to spare at the moment.<o:p></o:p>
Tomorrow she would first deal with the forces that ruled the country of Japan. Afterwards she would need to deal with the technocracy as well as trying to figure out a way to keep the war between Bush and the other countries on this world going. Though Ravona disliked war, turmoil would make things easier for Ravona to reach her goals.<o:p></o:p>

"Well, you should ask him then. Ask him if he knows a guy by the name of Macon Bright..."

A small grin spread across his face from ear to ear. And then he chulcked lightly.

"It's a small universe isn't it?"

His laughter grew a bit louder.

"Because I think, that my other cousin knows you. Nova is his name."

His laughter died, and he wiped his eyes. It was simply an amazing existanance wasn't it? To be that closely related to those two.

"Anyways, where are we headed and who're the bad guys? I haven't had a scrap in quite a while."

With his power charged, Hera floated beside Silverwing (so as not to damage the Earth with his attack), and thrust his hands towards the abomination.
"Dragon Cannon!" Hera roared, blasting a huge beam of energy, the tip of which had the head of a Dragon, opening it's maw to consume the abomination in a blaze of Chi.

"Impossible!!! Hear their screams for their souls belong to me!!" As the ferocious burst of hatred infusing Hera's Dragon Cannon, Julius realized it was too late for him to dodge the attack and instead he sought to endure it with every single ounce of his strength. Th flames of the Dragon Cannon struck Silverwing, a direct hit to the chest greatly weakening the abomination that men's ambition has created. Blood bathed the mad doctor, deep cuts all over his chest and left shoulder. Soon the blackness enshrouded his sight, and he felt himself falling to the dark ocean that welcomed him to his watery grave. Was this the end of Julius? One could never tell now for sure, for his body was lost among the waves of a once tranquil Ocean now infuriated by the toxic monstrosity that was cast in its waters. Hera Ledro could now finally rest, Julius' menecing power was halted by Hera's iron will, or was it merely postponed?

Hera Ledro's body burned from the energy he'd put into the attack; though it was not enough to make him tired. He knew something was wrong, from the moment Silverwing had absorbed the hit. It just didn't seem right that it could end so quickly, especially with an attack like the Dragon Cannon. He stared at the ripples in the water where Julius had submerged. Though he could sense no distinctive energy, it was hardly reminiscent of anything; people could hide their signatures if they had the willpower.

Hera though about blasting, just to make sure, but immediately discounted the thought. He'd never be so dishonourable to strike a foe, no matter how evil, when they were incapacitated like that. It was one of the few things that set him aside from all the despots out there like Sukani.

And then it clicked. Hera flew off towards Jake, moving westwards from the ocean down to Texas. It was where Jake had contacted him last, and Hera wasn't too keen on opening his mind so that others could delve into it, just to contact Jake. This idea was supported further by the fact that the information he had to deliver was so important.

Silverwing hadn't received the blood of a Dragon, it was the blood of an Allsie. Hera knew that there was something familiar about the change in signature, and now he realized that it was blood that Sukani had planted, with Silverwing taking the bait and thinking it was Dragon's blood.

It explained why he regenerated so quickly, regeneration was due to a powerful dominant gene in Allsie cells, and why he'd been able to transmute his claw, it was an odd ability that Sukani himself had altered his genetic structure for.

Why Sukani had done this, Hera had no idea. However, he did know that it must have had something to do with taking over the universe. It had been going on for millennia, and wouldn't stop now.

Hera came within Texas shortly, and immediately sensed Jake's power. Hera shot off towards it, and came across a truck, apparently one Jake and another person were hiding out in. The distinctive hole in the top was rather betraying.

Hera landed on the roof and folded his wings, jumping down into the hold (which smelled of it's cargo, beer), and, landing beside Jake, said, "So, what's going on?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The names Macon and Nova floated in Jake's head, like a half remembered melody that he just couldn't finger. "I know I've heard those names somewhere before," Jake said. "I just can't put my finger on where. Maybe it was from Hera, maybe not."

Jake looked at Hudson, but grinned when he'd asked about a fight. "Well," Jake said, grinning even wider. "You could fight me. It's been a while since I've had a good match, and you seem like you might be strong -" Jake yelped in surprise as a winged figure landed right beside him, through the hole he'd blasted in the roof. Unfurling it's wings, the creature said, "So, what's up?"

Jake looked at the figure and cried out in joy. It was Hera, but as a Ledrai Allsie 2. Jake's grandfather reverted back to normal, from silver fur and gold hair to blue fur and black hair again, and smiled.

"Gramps!" he said loudly, "What happened?" There were scars all over Hera's body, and a big one right between two of the bones on the wing membrane, betrayed by the lighter colour of brown from the rest of the wing.

Waving his hand lightly, Hera said, "I got into a fight with Silverwing. He's gone now, I just don't know for how long. It seemed too easy to kill him, and he can regenerate like us now. I'm sure his wounds will -" Hera broke off, and looked at Hudson. "Who's this, anyways?" Hera's nose moved slightly as he sniffed the air. "He smells human, but he doesn't seem like a human from around here. Whats your name?"

After tumbling, and falling deep down into the abyssmal waters of the untamable Ocean, Julius's Allsie blood began to slowly regenerate his body. The wounds slowly started to heal as he regained his consciousness and found a small ounce of energy to swim all the way to the surface. While searching for a place to rest, Julius swam to what it seemed to be....the Dragon Graveyard, and island long forgotten since the end of the Age of Dragons. Fort Dragonia stood ominously above a clouded mountain, even though it was reduced to ruins and ridden of all its former glory, yet it was enough for Julius' weakened state.

After reaching the beach and literalily tossing his blood stained body on the sand, Julius sighed and took a deep breath as he stared to the clouded blue sky. He thought about how his pride nearly cost him his life when Hera Ledro stroke him down, and swore not to allow himself to be caught off guard ever again. Suddenly, as he kept gazing upon the island's beautiful sea, Julius heard a strange voice echoing within his mind. The voice kept telling him to raise up and start a great war against both dragons and humans, and to reclaim the right to rule over all creation. This served to feed and encourage Julius' hunger for unlimited power, and so he gave in to the darkness that became his newest ally. The black monster's name was: Sukani.

"Hera....Ledro...."

"Well that's interesting and disappointing, 'cause my cousins can't seem to forget about you. Hell, they wouldn't stop raving about how good you two were as fighters. Hell, they wouldn't stop telling me about you two."

Hudson took a look at his strange company, and by the process of elimination, deduced that his new company was Hera Ledro. The Hera Ledro. The ones who had his cousins, respectively the best fights they had had since the last time they sparred each other.

"Err, you both fought them... for fun or something like that."

His left hand slowly reached for his blade, meaning that somebody wasn't covering up their killing intent. But he realized the neither of them had any time to fight. Apparently he was being hipped to the world needing saving... or something to that effect.

Jake quickly explained to Hera that this was Hudson, the person he'd gone to follow. When Jake mentioned that Hudson knew a Macon and Nova, Hera's eyes lit up with a happy gleam.

"I remember them," Hera said. "You should too, Jake. We had one hell of a match with them. It's been ages since I've had a match like that."

Hera turned to Hudson. "I was unaware of the fact that we were in the presence of one related to ones with such power. If ever we get the chance, we'll have to meet up with them, but for now we have work to do." Turning to Jake, he quickly recounted how things had gone down with Silverwing, and Jake frowned.

"No, he's way too stubborn to die from something like that, especially if he can regenerate now." Jake sighed. "Well, that's just one more thing for us to take down, but he's not too much of a threat, especially if you beat him as a Ledrai Allsie 2."

Hera Ledro nodded slightly, but looked unconvinced. "No, he's not as big a threat as Sukani would be, but don't underestimate him, Jake; he's grown very powerful, much more than what I ever expected him to in such a short time. We have to be much more careful. I wonder if we can recruit people from different dimensions...I'll have to think about it."

"What do you think, Hudson?" Jake asked.

As the helicopter neared the white house Daros released himself from the helicopter, when the helicopter blades had ceased spinning he waited for everyone to disembark and they all entered the white house. When they all entered the white house and the door was shut he tried to identify George Bush from the crowd. After a quick search through the heads of the crowd he pinpointed Bush and approached him, he tapped his shoulder to get his attention. "Now that we have time why is it that you requested my aid?" Daros asked. "We need your elemental powers, not many grow to your level of ability, consider yourself lucky, you were hard to locate though, for a powerful mage you sure like to remain invisible". Bush answered. "You still haven't answered my question, why do you need my help?" Daros said. "That will soon be revealed, be patient and all will be explained" Bush answered, Bush was being strangely mysterious, this was probably how he gained so much power to begin with.

They all proceeded through a mixture of doors which eventually lead to a basement, after they had entered here they were faced with a dead end, a man in a dark blue suit walked forwards and operated a small panel on the far right, when this was pushed into the wall a large column of the wall rose to reveal a different room. It was completely white and had several parallel glass panels scattered across the ceiling and the back of the room. It was completely empty however apart from a door on the left and right, they took the door on the right and inside was a large array of test tubes filled with a strange liquid. "This is what we need you for." Bush stated.

After spending countless days on self repairing, Julius finally recovered his power and much more, he discovered after noticing his amazing regenerative ability that he, too, had the blood of an Allsie. His eyes gazed all around him, for he realized now that he was standing in the very place where ancient battles of dragons and humans took place hundreds, perhaps thousands of years ago. The remains of an ancient race have witnessed the changes of this world, and now Julius was standing before them. Not a few days ago, he had experienced many visions of himself and another character, named "Sukani". It seemed that the essence of this monster was passed on to Julius along with the massive blood transfusion. Julius felt, how his power level grew while he developed a second conscience, deep within his mind and soul, but, could it be Sukani? Julius kept wondering that himself too. Nevertheless, he did not have the time to stand wondering things that he doesn't know for sure, so he concentrated on his main objective: taking down both Hera Ledro and Jake.

In order to bring them here, where he could prepare an ambush, Julius Silverwing rose his Chi energy on purpose in order draw their attention.

Daros faced Bush, a few men in Dark blue suits and black shades encircle the two.
"We need you for our HYBRID project." Bush announced. "HYBRID?" Daros questioned. "Yes, HYBRID is a combination of magic, power and defence, the ultimate soldier, by combining your DNA with the DNA inside these tubes we will have a weapon nearly as powerful as the one we are currently trying to create." Bush said. The men started to lead Daros to a chair with manacles attached to the arms, legs and the neck area, it was steel in appearance and had a mechanical helmet above it which was connected to the tubes, it had a semi-large needle at it's base and seemed too large for Daros' head and seemed unadjustable. When Daros was seated into the chair and locked into place the helmet began to lower itself onto his head and the needle, almost with a will of it's own started to snake it's way down to Daros' lower torso. "You shall become our salvation" Bush said.
