X men

10/10

One of my favourite movies of all time. I was so happy when I was channel flicking and caught it on Sky 1. It has a little too much Wolverine, and not enough Jean or Cyclops for my liking, but it's still a brilliant movie. Magneto, in particular is amazing, all of his scenes are just full of energy - particularly the scene with all the policemen.

I wish Storm didn't have the African accent though, especially since she drops it in later films.

LOTR, the first one.

Watching it for English class anyway, no harm in rewatching. Legolaa- -shot-
Ehm. People tend to laugh at it for some reason, but I actually think it's very well done, a good representation of the books :-)

Comments: I love this movie!

"Eat your vegetables!" XD

I love it when he says that after shoving a carrot through some guys eye or through the back of his mouth. >_< Gross but funny.

The scene where he has sex with his prostitute 'friend' was kinda like, "Hmm. How can you tell if she's really enjoying it or not?"

I mean she is after all a prostitute. Every man would get the same reaction from her you'd think. XD What makes this guy so special. XD

Nah she was hot, and so was he. Glad that they got together in the end. XD

Score: 5/5 stars or 10/10 points.

Eat your vegetables. Watch below!

Movie: 10,000 B.C.

Comments: Oh my gosh this is one of my favourite movies ever! I love movies that don't have well known actors but that can most certainly act. Lets just say it'd be weird seeing Cameron Diaz in this kind of movie.

Anyway, I enjoyed every part of it and the outfit that Evolet wears at the end of the movie is freaking gorgeous!!! I wish I had it for my fancy dress party now. >_<

It's pretty much about villages getting attacked by 'four legged demons', that are really horses with evil men riding them.

The main character D'Leh is the hero who goes to save his people who were taken away to work for the people they believed to be 'Gods'. One of those people included his beloved Evolet.

Score: 5/5 Stars

Amen! I always hear bad things about this movie, but I absolutely love it. I don't get the criticism because I think it developed the characters well, had a good plot (Although unoriginal i.e. Apocalyptica) and good acting. Like I just mentioned, people say it was too similar to Apocalyptica, but every movie somewhat copies another novel or movie anyways. I don't know, I loved it.

Star Trek

8/10

I went and saw this movie Friday with a group of friends, and overall, I thought it was pretty good. It's easy to get lost in some parts though if you don't have any general knowledge of the show and characters, but I still enjoyed it. I never was a big fan of Chris Pine, the new Captain Kirk, but he delivered an exceptional performance that was extremely humorous and fun to watch. This movie will never be on my favorites list, but I enjoyed it enough to follow the franchise, wherever they may take it.

Angels and Demons 9/10

To be honest, regardless of what critics say, it was a great film. My only annoyance was at the beginning was when Vittoria found the guy in the film instead of the President of CERN who then phones Robert Langdon and Vittoria as Vittoria is in the Pacific/Mediterranean or summat like that in the book, which was annoying because the tension occurs in those few beginnning scenes in the book and makes the relationship between Langdon and Vittoria...in which those scenes weren't even in the film! -__-

Other than that I have no faults, I thought the acting was tremendous, the stroyline and the way it was put across was amazing, the graphical aspects of the film were amazing and overall it was a solid film. If the beginning scenes had followed the book I'd have given it 10 >.>

Comments: It was pretty hilarious.

I think that it could have been funnier though. It seemed to be jam-packed with laughter in the ads, but the actual movie didn't have as much as I expected.

Though it was still an awesome movie and I especially love the boss in the bank. XD

I couldn't tell if he was Aussie or Kiwi sometimes though. o_0

Score: 4/5 stars or 8/10 points.

Star Trek

8/10

I saw this yesterday for my friend's birthday, and despite never seeing anything Star Trek related before, I thought it was great. For some odd reason, we had to see the one with sub-titles, and that made it so funny :wacky: "Soft Orchestral Music plays" xD

I thought it was the perfect mix of action and emotion. All the characters were well played, and the special effects were to die for.

The Butterfly Effect 3

Twas a pretty shit movie. But I wasn't expecting too much after seeing the second "Butterfly effect" movie. It was just a dodgy thriller with time travelling and shit. The acting was pretty lame and they over did the gore in some scenes too.

5/10

I'd recommend people watch the first "Butterfly Effect" but don't bother with the other two films.

Movie: Babylon AD

Comments: One of the weirdest movies I've seen in a while to be honest.

It didn't really explain itself very well and when you finally got the gist of it, you kinda went, "Is that it?"

It was very long and felt like it was just trying to fill in time. I don't like Vin Diesel as an actor either so points were lost there. <_<

Points to the girl who had an awesome accent! XD

Score: 1/5 stars or 2/10 points.

Movie: Balls Out

Comments: Yet another weird movie.

Seann William Scott is great as always, though I don't think he does very well in movies as the main character.

He needs to either be the side kick who is always the comedy relief or he needs another main character along side him the entire way.

He isn't that great that he can keep my attention for that long unfortunately.

This movie wasn't constructed very well. Felt like an amateur directed it.

It had its funny moments though!

Score: 2/5 stars or 4/10 points.

Movie Title: 200 Pounds Beauty
Rating: PG
Comments: A rising Korean comedy. A bit cheesy, but the story is pretty cute. The theme is mainly self confidence, accepting yourself for who you are, how far you're willing to go for beauty, all that stuff. It really puts all that into perspective. Although I felt the characters weren't portrayed as well as they could have been, I would still recommend this movie.
Score: 3.5/5 Stars

The Last movie I have seen is Righteous Kill. I have got to say this movie is really gay and I hated it. 2 cops but one is a serial killer who killed 14 people. Ugh 1 out of 10. Gayy

The Mummy 3: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

7/10...

It was ok. Fairly entertaining and that. Wasn't keen on the new girl in the role of Evie, but thats probably just because its a different actress pretending to be someone else and perhaps overdoing that a bit, so it felt a little bit forced and odd.

I wasn't sure about how I'd like it being in China, being a franchise based solely on Egypt, however felt it was alright.

Some of the comedy elements were, as usual, ok, like some Jonathan's (John Hannah) lines etc, but not as much as in the previous films, and not brilliant on the whole.

One thing I felt was just totally random and shoved in there for little reason was this yak called Geraldine :wacky:. They just randomly had it on the plane with them probably purely for the "the yak yakked" joke when it threw up, and then another scene with Jonathan talking to it. Other than that its existance, and why the heck it was in the small plane for, wasn't really explained. :monster: Bit of a forced joke, but ah well. I was rooting for Geraldine and I hope
she got down the mountain safely before the avalanche when they set her free..

In short, ok film but not as good as the first movie, and not as good as the second either.

Ocean Eleven, bout a guy name Danny Ocean (i think) whom hires a team of 11 associates in an attempt to steal 150 million dollars from an underground vault in a Las Vegas Casino.

I reconized alot of the actors instantly, George Clooney (Danny Ocean), Bernie Mac and Brad Pit are a few of them.

Very Good! I was ROFL at the end.

10/10 GO SEE IT NOWWW! :)

Deliverance

Not bad, it's a classic from the 70's. It seemed to progress really slowly, so that got a little annoying and there were a few key parts which I couldn't see properly due to the camera angle. But as a whole I enjoyed it. The "Squeal like a pig" scene had me in stitches xD.

Comments: I really enjoyed this movie. The little boy was a really good actor!
It wasn't what I thought the movie was going to be about but it was still awesome!

I didn't like Nicole Kidman's acting in it though. =/ Usually she's pretty good but she overdid the whole English posh thing in my opinion. =/

Points taken off for that.

Score: 4/5 stars or 8/10 points.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian - 8/10

I hate that Darth Vader had little screentime.

More effort in your post please, tell us what you thought about the film, it cant have been THAT disappointing not to have much Darth Vader in it for you to give it a rating of 8. Ta

Green Mile
10/10

After much arguing with Dave, I convinced him to watch this, because he'd never seen it before, so I stuck it on too

BRILLIANT film, it's gripping pretty much from start to finish, I love how it starts and if you have no idea what its about you're just like....wot? when he spits the 'badness' out and he's doing al that healy shit

It's so so sad though, not a predictable film by any length either which makes it even better!
