Let's Play Final Fantasy 6!

Episode 52 - Sand On Our Boots!

http://youtu.be/10_9KpZjwXY

We thought we were done with Figaro Castle...but no! We've now gotten ourselves stuck beneath the sands and need to explore the new dungeon(s). The cave section is pretty typical of every other cave in the game. There are some great items and a certain tough monster in a box there though.

Theeeen there's the castle (last) section. All we check out for now is the monster in a box (another tough one!), which gives us a relic that allows us to attack 4 times in one attack (like 4xCut in FF7). Only problem is that it splits our attack power for each attack...it may be useful when mixed with another relic or something though?

Thanks for watching folks! We'll see if we can help Odin next time :D

P.S. Excuse the cut at the start and any awkward comments that may come from it. Wrong way Greeny! :/

Episode 53 - Supersoft?

http://youtu.be/MCBuyfFPOHo

Hey all, this episode is cram packed full of stuff! Naturally, we start off by finishing off the castle under the sand (where we find the blue dragon! Thundaga or Ultima to beat it!). We also grab Odin and transform him into a better esper.

Next up, we head on back to Terra's Orphanage, where we beat Humbaba. Yay, we've got Terra back! :D

Lastly, we face Leviathan as an optional boss and get him as an esper! He's a tough as hell boss...but fortunately we can absorb water damage :D. Thundaga is good once again for this one.

Thanks for watching folks! :)

Ok, here are the episodes from today and yesterday. I uploaded a bit late and didn't post the eps. Sorry :(

Episode 54 - I'm A Fan!

http://youtu.be/J8qgzFkKlvc

Right sooooo the Fanatics Tower is incoming! It's not so bad with Mog's Charm to prevent battles. Without that, you'd better have prepared and leveled loads :D. You can only use magic here. No physical attacks :(. This doesn't make the Holy Dragon any harder though, 'cause ultima is the way to go anyways.

Once you reach the top however, you'll need to have prepared well to beat this guy! The Magic Master is a tough boss, mainly because of his spells. Fortunately, cast berserk on him and you're safe for the most part. Make sure to have reraise on someone before the battle ends though, 'cause he ends on a powerful spell that can't be blocked.

The reward is amazing for all this though! Not only is another dragon down, but we also grab a relic that allows us to cast two spells in one turn! Mix this with the Gold Hairpin, which reduces mp costs by half, and you're away! Double ultima/double arise!

Thanks for watching folks. Oh! We also got Strago back! Forgot about him lmao. We'll see more of his backstory next time...

--------------------------------------------------

Episode 55 - So Full Of Energy!

http://youtu.be/q-Pl0LnP8ME

Right! Let's check out all of Strago's backstory shall we? Ebot's Rock is a puzzle-y little dungeon with randomly generated rooms. It also includes one of my favourite npc's in the game, for he is a hungry chest! I love the randomness of it all...who ever knew chests need coral to survive? :D
21 coral pieces later, we face Hidon: ultima away! It'll hit the little enemies at the same time. I feel like I'm repeating myself too much with this strategy...but there's really no better alternative :/.

Finally, we take on the Earth Dragon, which is the last one we'll be fighting until the last dungeon (where the last two are). This little guy is found in the opera house of old ;). Just use ultima and maybe some form of float.

Thanks for watching! :)

Episode 56 - Zone Eater's Belly

http://youtu.be/fJpcnzQCDZo

Hey all, here comes a new dimension! The Zone Eater is a unique enemy that eats you and sends you to a dungeon where we can find Gogo, a new character! He's nothing great, in my opinion, but it's nice to have him along.

We also grab Gau over on the Veldt, but that one's much quicker and easier. We also see all of Gau's backstory...it's time to meet his father!

Thanks for watching! We'll go for the last character next time :)

Episode 57 - Shadow Boxing

http://youtu.be/rQ59O5ZdvnY

Hey all, it's time for us to grab our last party member! Shadow is easy enough to get; it just requires you to go to a few different places. First up is the cave on the veldt, which is really short (remember to grab the ichigeki on your way through!). Then we head off to the coliseum to meet him again!

Thanks for watching all! We'll wrap up some little things next time and then head onto the final mandatory dungeon: Kefka's Tower! :)

Episode 58 - Planning For The End

http://youtu.be/eLrjL_jA8E0

Hey all, here comes the last leg before we head to Kefka's Tower! We grab ourselves a new esper (Gigantuar), which is done by killing off 10 regular cactuars in the shown desert. We also prepare for the last mandatory dungeon. The best AP and EXP locations are shown. Be warned, I'm going up to level 70 in case we head for the optional dungeon that was added to the GBA version. That place almost requires some high levels :).

Thanks for watching! See you next time when we make a start on Kefka's Tower! :)

Episode 59 - That Infernal Ultima Buster!

http://youtu.be/gR_egB9xPdA

That's right, we're finally making a start on the last dungeon! Kefka's Tower is easy enough to navigate, but it takes a bit of leveling and preparation for the bosses/random encounters. Follow along to see the Ultima Buster and Inferno bosses! Both of these can be taken down easily with your most powerful moves. I find it a waste of time to type the strategies up now that pretty much any of the better moves work well against the bosses.

Thanks for watching! We'll make it to the end of the dungeon next episode! Pretty much! :)

Episode 60 - The Warring Triad

http://youtu.be/1DVZtl9Ti7w

Hello everyone! Let's beat a bunch of bosses including: Skull Dragon, Gold Dragon, Guardian, Demon, Fiend and Goddess. The two dragons there are the last in the main game while Demon, Fiend and Goddess are the warring triad bosses. Once the dragons are dead, you can enter an optional dungeon after the main game (only on the GBA version).

Now that the warring triad bosses are down though, we can head for Kefka! See you next time when we do just that...it'll be the last episode of the main series folks! Hasn't it gone quick? :/

P.S. For all those bosses, ultima works fine. Guardian can be taken down with Thundaga too, if you wanna save a wee bit of MP :)

Episode 61! - Kefka's Demise

http://youtu.be/u8kucB-_7qM

Welcome to the last main episode of FF6 folks! Yep, it's a biggy, but it includes all of Kefka's boss forms as well as the credits, last bits of story etc.
I've gotta say that these credits are actually pretty entertaining for a change. I'm not normally a fan of waiting for the staff to scroll by.

I hope you've enjoyed this series guys and gals! There'll be 5 bonus episodes incoming, all of which take place inside the specially added dungeon for the GBA version of FF6. See you there :)

Bonus Episode 1 - Entering The Dragons' Den

http://youtu.be/aewHTWYeHnk

Hello one and all! This dungeon is unique to the GBA version and is veeery complicated imo. It's pretty huge and the fact that you have to keep track of 3 parties and everything...nightmare! This episode goes quite well though. Pretty streamlined and all that. It's when more paths open up later on that the problems begin...

The ice dragon is tough and it's only the first boss! He actually multiplies and you have to face 4 of him, but only one can be killed at a time! The storm dragon is much easier though. Firaga is the answer to the ice dragon, while ultima is good for the storm dragon.

Thanks for watching folks! :)

-----------------------------------------------------

Bonus Episode 2 - Fire, Water And Earth

http://youtu.be/dgvH_pKFu6o

Here we go again folks! Three more dragons taken care of this time around:

Earth Dragon - Auto-float relics/earth absorbing equipment are almost a must for this guy. Huge damage incoming otherwise! The toughest dragon to date imo.

Blue Dragon - Easiest dragon to date. Thundaga will get you through.

Red Dragon - Hard until you know the trick. Just survive for ages and you win. Autolife and Arise are essential. Possibly regen and haste too?

Thanks for watching folks! We'll take on some more of the dungeon tomorrow! :)

Bonus 3 - Holy Golden Skulls

http://youtu.be/IzPORuUtePE

Hey all, it's time to take down the last 3 dragons! The skull dragon is up first and there's a trick to beating him. No, you don't just you a phoenix down, but that would have been nice! What you need to do is keep using Rasp to reduce his mp to 0. He won't be dying otherwise :D.

Next up is the holy dragon, which is possibly the toughest of the dungeon. Just...pray that you beat him with your ultimas/arises etc. No one will blame you if you use a megaelixir or two! Casting reflect on him may help...

Lastly is the gold dragon. This guy's a bit easier. He'll use thunder attacks, so see if you can avoid those with equipment.

Thanks for watching! Next time we'll make our way to the end of the dungeon! See you there :)

-------------------------------------------------

Bonus 4 - Journey To The End

http://youtu.be/elfbHKUQ8c0

Here comes the trek to the last dragon folks! This dragon will be unlike any other that we've seen and will more than likely be extremely tough.
As for this episode, we just waddle on over there with our three parties. It's a tough part imo, but I cut it all down and put it into a short, little package. I never thought it'd end up this short considering it was about half hour long before the cutting lmao.

Thanks for watching! See you next time for the series finale :)

Bonus 5 - Thanks For Watching! ~FIN~

http://youtu.be/wGXZqMzkxlo

Hey all, here comes the very last episode of the series! The Kaiser Dragon has an awesome design and the music is as amazing as it ever was. The fight is a little bit long, but what can you expect for a boss that takes this long to get to? Ultima, Reraise, Hast and Arise are the way to go with this boss folks. Use up all your best items if you like.

The reward for this huge dungeon? A magicite that boosts your HP by loooooooads! It's pretty useless by this point though, considering there's only one more thing you can really do in the advanced version. I won't be doing that though (I think it's like a sequence of regular battles or something?).

Thanks for watching this series peoples. It's strange that it's ending now, but it has lasted a long, long time so we had a good run. Hope you enjoyed and maybe I'll see you over on the Super Mario Sunshine side? :)

~FIN~

Any comments etc will be greatly appreciated and I'll still be around to answer any questions you may have :)
