Let's Play Final Fantasy 6!

Episode 21 - Maria At The Opera

http://youtu.be/wgPaaAM8pNU

Hey all, here comes a slightly longer episode to showcase all of that opera scene! The opera is a way to get Setzer to kidnap Celes so that we have a way to reach the Magitek Factory, however...there's a problem or two along the way!

-------------------------------------------

Ultros Strategy:

- Burn him with fire! Again!
- Drill away!
- Bushido level 1
- Cure as often as necessary, with however many characters have cure.

-------------------------------------------

This was an easier boss than the first time we faced him, but we have more spells and did a bit of level grinding just now. Bye Uncle Ulty!

Thanks for watching folks! We'll find out just what the factory is like in the next episode...maybe? ;)

Episode 22 - Blackjack's Destination

http://youtu.be/CGOw5uOV4FQ

Hey all, here comes episode 22! The Blackjack is gonna take us on over to Albrook, where we can have a look around and upgrade ze equipment. There are a few other things to see there.

We also check out the imperial observation point and see what we can do there before we're supposed to head there...lol!

Finally, we make it to the magitek factory! Thanks for watching folks! We'll see what happens there next time! :)

Episode 23 - Willy Wonker's Magical Factory

http://youtu.be/lTDGHQbJIPk

Hey all, here comes the Magitek Research Factory! From the conveyor belts, to the mechanical beasts, there's something for everyone! Who can forget the appearance of Kefka too? There're loads of treasure chests as well, which contain some pretty great stuff (new weapons anyone?).

I guess we should mention the Empire's town (or one of them by this point) of Vector. Free healing if you know where to look...

P.S. Keep a look out for the man feigning mortal sickness. I almost lol'd that little bit too much the first time I saw the face :D

Thanks for watching folks! We'll check out a boss or two next episode! :)

Episode 24 - Gotta Catch 'em All!

http://youtu.be/ijjNBBwLlrA

Hey all, here comes a boss-filled episode within the magitek factory! Shiva and Ifrit are easy enough:

---------------------------------------------------

Shiva and Ifrit Strategy:

- Use Fire on Shiva (along with Drill and Bushido)
- Use Blizzard on Ifrit (along with Drill and Bushido)
- Use Cure with 2 characters each turn, if possible. If not, look out for opportunities to use potions.
- Don't bother with the likes of auto-crossbow or other spreadable moves...they're never gonna be in the battle at the same time anyway!

---------------------------------------------------

With those down, it's time to take on:

---------------------------------------------------

Number 024 Strategy:

- Drill
- Bushido
- Blitz
- Cure, Cure, Cure

---------------------------------------------------

A few easy enough bosses, but if you haven't been keeping up with learning with spells/leveling/equipment upgrading you may be in trouble. That could really be said about most bosses though, I guess.

And with Celes' great sacrifice, we need to escape with Cid! Thanks for watching folks! :)

I'm tempted to watch, Greens. Only because I haven't actually played FF6 fully yet. I've started a few times but halfway through it, I'll forget about it for months/years...so it'd be nice to see what the fuss is all about. At the same time, I'd really like to play this on my own without spoilers. We'll have to see. But if I do decide on Let's Play instead, you'll be my main source. :)

Thanks Mits! Yeah, I prefer to play a game and then watch an LP afterwards to see how I could have done it better (or worse, I'm sure :lew:). How far did you get before, by the way?

I believe the Waterfall Cavern. Is that half-way...? I don't even know, I just assumed. xD

Mitsuki - the only place I can think of like that is when you just get Gau (the little feral boy who uses blue magic/Rage). That's pretty close to the start :lew:.

Two episodes incoming! In all honesty, I uploaded one yesterday and forgot to post it. Eeep :/

----------------------------------------------

Episode 25 - Kefka's Cranes!

http://youtu.be/dday2SU1c-A

Hey all, here's the rest of the Magitek Research Factory! It may be short-lived, but it does include 2 bosses...

----------------------------------------------

Number 128:

- Use Auto-Crossbow to hot the 3 enemies
- Use Drill when only the main body is remaining
- Bushido Level 1
- Blitz
- Cure when needed

----------------------------------------------

Cranes:

- Avoid thunder moves
- Use any 2nd level magic you have (blizzara, fira)
- Heal often
- Use Drill on the same crane each turn to take one down quicker
- Bushido level 1

----------------------------------------------

We also grab Terra and find out what the hell she's all about! History lesson with the espers, folks!

Fiiinally, we get the Blackjack back. Thanks for watching :)

----------------------------------------------

Episode 26 - Sealed In Fire

http://youtu.be/b6z22bIuKk4

So it seems that we need the help of the espers to take down the empire, according to the Returners. In that case, we'd better head on over to the Sealed Cave!

This place is certainly the toughest area in the game so far, as is shown in the video, but maybe it's because I wasn't well prepared? Wait for the next episode and you'll see how to go about this place a bit better ;)

Thanks for watching! It's certainly nice to have Terra back :D.

Episode 27 - Esper Land?

http://youtu.be/I89e9RWzZyM

Hey everyone, it's time to finish off the Sealed Cave! Switches, bridges, espers, Kefkas, fires, gates...and more!
We also have an airship situation :/.

That's about all I can think of to say about this episode. Thanks for watching! :)

Episode 28 - The Banquet

http://youtu.be/vXQ3-pA7TW0

Hey all, here comes a different view of Vector! It's certainly changed since we've been away...loving the orange!

While we're here, we get to play a minigame; can we talk every soldier into joining our side? Or will they be too stuck in their empirical ways? Either way, it looks like Gestahl has had a change of heart (apologise, apologise, apologise!). We just need to stop the espers now...get them on our side, you know? That'll be what stops another war of the magi ;)

Thanks for watching! :)

Episode 29 - Sailing With Leo

http://youtu.be/YfPuVnl39-k

After an incredibly long and tiring day, I bring you episode 29! Forgive me for not giving a longer description or anything, but I'm absolutely knackered.

What I will say is that this is our journey towards Crescent Island, mainly by ship. We also regain a few characters that we haven't seen in a while.

Thanks for watching :)

You sound a bit upset in this video or is it just me ?

Are you okay buddy ?

No jokes, serious.

Aye I'm fine :). Probably just because I was tired ha. The next few episodes will be a bit quiet probably :wacky:.

Episode 30 - Strago's Struggles

http://youtu.be/2oUxZzEWwmY

Hey all, two new party members incoming! Thamasa is nothing special on the outside, but there's a secret afoot! The dungeon is pretty quick, but it's more to show off what Strago can do. His rods are pretty amazing if you're at the enemy's weakness :D.

--------------------------------------

Flame Eater Strategy:

- Blizzard/Blizzara with whoever possible.
- Strago's aqua spell would also be amazing. This kills off the balloons at the same time, so it's best kept for when the balloons are around.
- Don't use fire moves. It'll heal it!
- If you don't happen to have ice magic, go for drill/bushido/etc.
- Heal whenever necessary.

--------------------------------------

Thanks for watching folks! See you next time when we head through the Esper's Cave!

Episode 31 - Where Espers Hide

http://youtu.be/pDX7ViCBbCE

It looks like Crescent Island hides another dungeon for us, so let's head through! The Esper Caves are very straight forward and simple, so we make it most of the way through during this episode.

The one thing we need to look out for is the boss...

---------------------------------------------

Ultros Strategy:

- Use Fira/Fire
- Attack with Fire Rods if you have them
- Heal often
- Bushido/Drill etc
- At the end, use Sketch with Relm

---------------------------------------------

That's right, we gain another new party member this time around: Relm! Her Sketch ability isn't brilliant but meh. Her incredibly high magic stat more than makes up for it.

Thanks for watching! See you next time when we finish off the dungeon! :)

Episode 32 - Leo's Demise

http://youtu.be/VsO9BbrfzAQ

Hey all, here's a completely story-based episode! A tiny bit remaining of the Espers' Caves, but otherwise it's full of plot.

The espers seem to be hiding out, away from the humans. They will, however, trust Terra...considering what she is. However, maybe they shouldn't have trusted us...

The end of Leo is in this episode too, which is pretty sad :(.

Thanks for watching! The next episode will have more dungeony/battley stuffs I'm sure :)

Episode 33 - Ulty The Last

http://youtu.be/iUpIEJCkYMc

Hey all, this episode is pretty battle-heavy, which is a nice change after the last episode :D.

It's time for the world to start changing, but we won't see the real effects of that until...a little bit later on. For now, we need to stop Gestahl and Kefka!

In order to do that though, we need to make it through their defences:

-----------------------------------------

Ultros/Typhon Strategy:

- Typical strategy to be used on the Ultros section; Fira, Blitz etc.
- Typhon is slightly different though! Physical attacks and Drill are fine against him ;)

-----------------------------------------

With that done, we make it to the next dungeon!
...nah, not really ha!

-----------------------------------------

Air Force Strategy:

- Take down the two minor parts first. Focus on them one at a time.
- Drill, Thundara etc
- Do the same on the main guy.
- Keep your health up throughout!

-----------------------------------------

Now we're at the next dungeon!

Thanks for watching folks! We'll check it out next time :)

Episode 34 - The Ultimate Boss!

http://youtu.be/SmkA-CwiWtE

Hello everyone, here comes an episode that normally confuses me crapless, but it's not too bad this time, for some reason. The floating ruins/continent is unique in the sense that it's...floating.

Switches to lower and heighten the floor and walls, with treasures here and there. Warning: I don't collect all the treasures. I know I miss at least one in this area!

As for the boss...

-----------------------------------------------------

Ultima Weapon Strategy:

- Drill/Bushido etc
- Throw any Shurikens you have with Shadow. They're incredibly powerful!
- Spread Cura with a party member every turn !Important!
- Use Runic if you can see an opportunity. It's more important to heal, however.

-----------------------------------------------------

It's shocking seeing Ultima Weapon as a normal boss :/. He's normally optional and incredibly tough. He's certainly the toughest boss to date, mind you...but there's a reason for that! He's the mid-game boss, after all :D.

Thanks for watching folks! See you next time when we finish off this half of the game!
