Let's Play Final Fantasy 6!

I didn't mess around, no. Generally the longer I leave something the more likely I am to not do it at all. I have realised watching this walkthrough that I had actually heard Kefka's laugh a lot before in various places on YouTube, but didn't until today have a clue what it actually was. And Kefka's little tune is awesome. Think he's a bit of a fruit cake though... Thanks, Sprout!

Episode 10 - Kefka's Poisonous Plan

http://youtu.be/aK5SKoyfYhM

Hey all, here comes an episode where we control Cyan and try to protect Doma Castle! This samurai is incredibly powerful...but you just have to wait for his attacks to "load". Whether you want him to counter attack, half the enemy's health or just attack, he's gonna be great!

Unfortunately though, as soon as we grab Cyan, we lose Shadow :(. Still...Cyan is better.

Fiiinally, we make it to the Phantom Train, which is one of my favourite dungeons in the entire game :D. See you next time when we make our way through and take on the rather unique boss!

Thanks for watching :)

I just like to point out you don't always lose Shadow at that point. He can actually randomly leave you after any battle. Though usually I have been lucky enough to keep him through the phantom forest and train bit. If he sticks with you that long then no matter what, he will leave you at the upcoming part there.

Yeah, that's when I normally lose him. I wonder if it's based on number of battles before the forest?

I think it's money based like the more gil that you collect during that time the more likely he is to leave faster.

I usually try and lessen the battle so Shadow stays for the Phantom Train and makes things there a bit easier.

Episode 11 - Doomtrain's Relative

http://youtu.be/J4fvqo6cBmw

Hey all, are you ready for possibly my favourite dungeon in the game? The phantom train takes the dead to the afterlife...and it looks like we're trapped on it unless we can stop it!

Try grabbing a ghost to get him in your party. He's not permanent or anything...and he's pretty shit...but damn it! He can possess people and may actually be good for using items!

As for the boss:

------------------------------------------------

Phantom Train Strategy:

- Use Blitz with Sabin
- Wait for Cyan's level 3 attack, which will halve the enemy's current HP. Use this twice.
- Attack away with your best moves...but be quick about it!

------------------------------------------------

Ok, so that's another tough boss defeated! Only...we jump down a waterfall and face another! Just use Cyan's level 1 attack and Sabin blitz to make it through pretty easily though.

See you next time when we find out more about Gau and the Veldt! I wonder if we'll make it back to Narshe...

Thanks for watching! :)

You may want to add or go back and even say thought while it not guaranteed if you have enough and want to use some, that the phoenix down has a chance of kill the boss as well if it doesn't miss.

Hey about what I said the other day I'm sorry that if I hurt your feelings or anything. I just wanted to help. I see you as a good friend and I'll never try and hurt you on purpose or anything, just wanted to help.

Sorry.

Just about the Shadow thing, I had the SNES strategy guide somewhere that once said that it was your money and then it was also the more battles you do the more chances he would leave. Also if you get shadow on the Train he wont leave until after all that is done, and then if you keep him up to the waterfall that is when he will leave for this time around (y)

Daww I know that :lew: . I'll take any criticism etc and try to work with it. I'm not sure how these last 3 episodes turned out in terms of me trying to change them a bit to incorporate your advice, but I tried anyways :).

Episode 12 - Meeting The Blue Mage

http://youtu.be/8B5QOyJqqBU

Hello peoples, this episode is all about the Veldt and Gau. Learning moves with Gau is incredibly annoying...but isn't that always the case for the blue mages? I don't much like him in battle in general to be honest, 'cause to use him properly you have to lose all control of him. Oh wells...he's good enough for now ;).

However, I love his character! How he annoys everyone and really acts like a little kid...which I don't think he is anymore? Not if he can keep up with Sabin anyways ha.

Shall see you next time when we finish off Sabin Week (which I so did not make up right this moment rather than at the very start of the scenario)!

Thanks for watching :)

Episode 13 - Shiny Mr Thou!

http://youtu.be/0T3cmMubszA

Hey all, here comes the last of Sabin's Scenario! We get to check out the shiny shiny shiny thing as Mr Thou and also check out what was a pretty revolutionary bit of game design back in the days of the SNES.

I always find the underwater part to be pretty hard, but it's good for trying out Gau's rage commands so it's not all bad. Don't worry about which directions you choose under there...it doesn't make too much difference.

As for Nikeah, there are a few new pieces of equipment, but you won't really miss out on much if you skip the shops. You may still want to go for the elixir in the clock though?

And there we have it! I'll see you next time when we start on the next scenario which, whichever one we choose, will be much shorter than Sabin's.

Thank you for watching :)

P.S. Kupo

Episode 14 - Stop Rescuing Damsels, Boy!

http://youtu.be/nkhFD_XlryA

Hey all, here comes Locke's Scenario! This will only last for two episodes, so it's much shorter than Sabin's. It's pretty much one big puzzle-style trek back through South Figaro. Think stealth and you'll have a pretty good idea of what's coming.

We also gain a new character and I have to say that Celes is so close to being my favourite one in FF6! She just about gets beaten by Terra...just about! We'll find out more about her in the next episode...see you there!

Thanks for watching :)

P.S. I'll never fall asleep sir...

Also, I snipped the video well at the end, I did! : D

Episode 15 - One Final Obstacle

http://youtu.be/qe6u8LD5AvI

Hey all, this turned out to be a pretty short episode because of...a certain person (who shall remain nameless) getting lost. However! This means that we found a few hidden treasure chests and us gaining quite a few levels!

We make it back through a past cave too, which turns out to be pretty much the same, but with an added threat at the end:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Tunnel Armor Strategy:

- Use Rune with Celes every turn that both members have above about 100HP.
- Use Cure otherwise and quickly get Rune back up to absorb more magic.
- Just attack with Locke (maybe use a potion here and there if necessary).

-------------------------------------------------------------

And there we have it! Locke's scenario is completely done! It looks like even Mog is leveling up and is on his way to becoming SUPER MOG! Or...not :/

Thanks for watching folks! We'll go for Terra's scenario next time :)

P.S. This will be uploaded every other day from now on, with Rain filling in the gaps :)

Episode 16 - Protecting Banon

http://youtu.be/ZJEbKaoT2yU

Hey there folks, what we have here is all of Terra's scenario! There's not much to it really...just make sure to keep Banon alive at all costs! Just heal every turn with him and you'll be fine...it's not like he's much good for anything else anyway.

Will they make it out of Lethe River? Will they make it back to Narshe in one piece? Will they be welcomed back with open arms? Have a look see ;)

Thanks for watching folks! See you next time when we see what life after the scenarios is like

P.S. It looks like Kefka is still on the move...what was it we heard in Locke's Scenario? He's coming to invade Narshe? That can't be good...

Episode 17 - Bossed About By Kefka

http://youtu.be/6-da44htY74

Wooo, now that everyone's back together, it's time for us to have a huge war against Kefka! Remember back when we used all those moogles to defend Terra? Well this is similar but with proper characters.

Defending Narshe from a sadistic clown has never been so much fun! Of course, this means we also have to face him:

------------------------------------------------------------

Kefka Strategy:

- Take Celes and use Runic each turn that you aren't healing
- Use Cure with Terra if you ever need to. This will keep Celes free for more Runic.
- Take in two powerhouses (Cyan, Sabin, Edgar) to deal as much damage as possible with their unique abilities.
- That should be all that's needed!

------------------------------------------------------------

And after all that, we need to make a tough decision! What party should we take on our journey? I won't say what the journey is based on here in case of spoilers, but it's a right good twist :D. I always take Celes for Runic purposes (and magic), but otherwise it's not too important at this point.

Thanks for watching folks! :)

Episode 18 - The Witch's Trail

http://youtu.be/CoujdFAkm7g

Hey all, we actually play a sidequest today (along with plenty of mandatory stuff)! Take sabin and Edgar back to Figaro Castle (it may just be Sabin?) and you'll get some of their backstory. Really adds a little bit of depth to them, y'know?

Along with this, we head towards Kohlingen, which is is prettiful town full of new equipment. Fiiinally, we head towards the next town. That's right...plenty of world map wandering!

Thanks for watching folks! See you next time when we head towards the rain...

P.S. The thumbnail for this vid made me lol so damn hard :wacky:.

Episode 19 - Burmecia's Ugly Stepfather

http://youtu.be/g6aStM2raOU

Hey all, here comes our little journey through both Jidoor and Zozo! Jidoor is pretty generic and everything. We upgrade equipment a little bit, but it's only really useful to come here to find out where Terra flew off too. And that happens to be to Zozo in the mountains!

Sooo, off we go to Zozo! This place is like a mix between Burmecia and Treno from FF9. Rainy dungeon-town + thieves and liars = Zozo ;). We find the chainsaw tool, which is pretty tough to find imo, or at least time consuming (don't worry, it doesn't take long at all in the vid). It's not exactly a great move though.

We also make it to the boss of Zozo! See you next time when we check that out!

Thanks for watching :)

ugh i hate ZoZo.

The puzzle, dungeon thing is just so annoying and how the monster encounter rate just increases all of a sudden. The music is groovy though.

I would normally agree, but it's such a short dungeon that I don't really mind. If it were longer I'd want to rip my hair out, I'm sure :/.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Episode 20 - Terra's Predicament

http://youtu.be/6E7X7qUK4ns

Hey there everyone! Here comes the end of our search for Terra, who turns out to have a pretty huge problem. Unfortunately, we can't do anything for her yet, but Ramuh says that she will probably come around soon enough. Sooo...why don't we help the espers out at the Magitek Factory while waiting?

The only problem is that we need an airship to get there and that's where Setzer and the opera house comes in! We'll find out all about that next time, in the extra long episode made specifically for one of the best parts of the entire game ;)
Of course, we haven't spoken about the great Dadaluma yet...

-----------------------------------------------

Dadaluma Strategy:

- Use bushido level 1
- Use Drill
- Use Cure when necessary (which could be pretty often)
- Blitz away

-----------------------------------------------

Ok, I hope you've enjoyed this episode. There's been a bit of variety in it, from a boss, to story, to some exploration, so it's one of my favourites to date.

Thanks for watching folks! I hope my explanation of the new magic system was ok. I'm sure I'll explain it a bit at a time as we go along, when we get new espers etc :)
