That's the last title with HUGE in it, I swear! That's because this is the last part where we have to focus on huge materia. I mean...there'll be literally like 2 seconds later on too where we get the optional one. But still.

Cid's dream finally being realised with Shinra's help is pretty odd, but brilliant to see. Shera is around too, naturally.

I almost forgot to mention the boss! Just take out our favourite Turks with any powerful moves. They shouldn't pose any sort of problem by this point ;).

Part 40: Bugenhagen's Holiday

Hey all, here's an episode that showcases pretty much everything you can do in the submarine. The location of the optional huge materia is shown, along with the gelnika location (actual dungeon is in a bonus episode...look out for it), the key of the ancients and Lucrecia's Cave (more on this one later).

Of course, we stopped outside Cosmo Canyon last time, so we check out what Bugenhagen has to say and keep the huge materia there. Because we got the 3 huge materia, we grab ourselves Bahamut Zero! Sehr nice ;).

Finally, we take our Bugen on holiday over at the sleeping city, where we have a load of plot explaining Aeris' motives and why she was so willing to sacrifice herself.

Part 40b: The Lovely Gelnika

Welcome one and all to a wee bonus episode that showcases the optional dungeon: the Gelnika. There's so much going on here that it can be a bit intimidating, but at least the place is small.

The turks are easy enough...we've fought them enough to know that they aren't a threat. Just keep healed up and use your best moves. The save point is great for restoring that lost mp afterwards.

Loads of items onboard, including: Yuffie's ultimate weapon, the Hades summon (amazing cinematic), Cid's ultimate limit break, 2xCut (also amazing) and plenty of other stuff.

Hey all, just a quick description today. The main thing is that Diamond Weapon has arrived and is ready for a good beating by both us and Shinra!

Diamond Weapon Strategy:

- Don't use physical attacks! It'll do nout! ;)
- Use your most powerful summons and spells.
- Keep healed up and still use limits. Those still damage him somehow.

Hello peoples, here's our raid on Midgar to take down the great Shinra corporation!

For some reason, that whole parachute scene always stood out to me, along with the bosses within. Boss number 1 is optional and I'm surprised we had it considering we've fought the Turks every step of the way. This time around, Elena is sticking around to fight...

Turks Strategy (Final Time!):

- Take down Elena as soon as possible. Her confuse attack can really be nasty, no matter what your level is.
- Otherwise, just use a few summons that deal no elemental damage (just in case!).
- Heal, limits, haste, regen, barrier etc

Wooo, they're down for the final time! Next up, after the dungeon, is Heideggar and Scarlet's secret weapon.

Proud Clod Strategy:

- Destroy the armour first to make the rest of the fight so much easier.
- Otherwise, go all out. This guy has tonnes of health. Limits, status boosts and healing all the way :).

You've probably noticed that the bosses now don't require too much strategy. It's really about going all out and trying not to heal them with the wrong elements.

Hello all, here's that last of disc 2, in the form of finishing off the last remaining member of Shinra: Hojo!

Hojo Strategy:

- Phase 1: Focus entirely on Hojo and ignore the enemies. He goes down quickly enough anyways.
- Phase 2: Same again. Focus solely on the main body...the arms respawn regardless.
- Phase 3: Just go all out. Use all of your mp...but avoid using Earth moves. They'll miss.

The rest is plot and all about how the party members wander off to say goodbye to their loved ones etc. Secsi scene between Cloud and Tifa!

And here's the last of the bonus eps! The Ancient Forest is full of puzzles, insects, frogs, beehives and other stuff. The rewards? Some decent stuff, but there's only one great thing here for this point in the game: Slash-All. This allows you to attack all enemies at once! Woooo!

Also: we grab ourselves the Typoon summon materia! This'll be our last summon in the game and it's a 2 headed wind beast (with a face on his arse that blows wind???). Anyways, that summon is shown here too ;).

Part 44: Sephiroth's Lair

There are so many different ways to go along the way down, with a tonne of great items (plenty of stat boosting sources etc).

We actually make it through this dungeon pretty darn quickly, I thought. Just remember to keep your save crystal until the very end (where I use it in the vid) :).

P.S. Was anyone else disappointed by the final dungeon music? FF normally has amazing music for the last dungeons (Ultimecia's Castle being a stand out one imo).
 
Part 45: Jenova's Bizarro Wing

Hello one and all! I put in an extra oomph of effort for this one, to showcase the different songs for the 3 final bosses! I made sure to let you listen to the tracks before we got going, because everyone loves these songs.

Jenova Synthesis Strategy:

- Use summons and attacks that hit all enemies. The tentacles can be a pain by absorbing your health so taking them down quickly is important.
- Slash-All is great for this boss.
- Haste/regen/wall etc.
- Go all out with your MP. There's a chance to use items etc after this boss anyway.

Bizarro Sephiroth Strategy:

- Use your best summons again. This will kill off the multiple parts. If any survive other than the core and main body, then continue with moves that hit multiple enemies. Again: Slash All is great.
- One every other body part is gone, take down the core part. This loses its defence when the other parts are gone.
- Finally, destroy the main body. This should go down pretty quickly anyway by now.
- Be quick! Haste on everyone will be grand.

Safer Sephiroth Strategy:

- Esuna-All is amazing here. Ribbon is also pretty much needed on a character (the one with esuna-all preferably!).
- He can deal huge damage. Make sure to have regen on everyone, along with haste and wall. HP Pluses from Cosmo Canyon really help a lot too!
- Otherwise, hack away but play a bit conservatively. Keep your health up before dealing damage imo.

Remember, if you have Knights of the Round, you can beat any of these bosses with a single summon. If you don't fancy the challenge.

Hey all, welcome to the end! We check out the end cinematics and the credits here. We also take on the final boss, who happens to be more of a plot device than an actual boss (think Yu Yevon from FF10). There's also a bit of a review of sorts while the credits are rolling.

Thanks so much for those of you who stuck with me throughout the series. It had its bumps along the way, but we made it! :)

The next series will be starting on the weekend now, I reckon. It's something a little bit different from back in the N64 era. Something that I absolutely loved as a kid. See you around? :)
