Lulu's overdrive

average i get all the time is 8-9.
I use my palm not my thumbs. lol. i remember doing that in naruto games. ahaha. highest ive got so far is 11.
btw. you'll do more damage with lulu with doublecast>demi
than use fury>demi.
doublecast is also faster than her fury.
 
Have any of you tried using the palm of your hand rather than your thumb? It helps. But for me, it too me forever to figure out Lulu's Overdrive when I first played it ages ago. Also, think of it this way, would you rather have short Fury overdrives (5-8) rather than hoping for something larger and have to sit there and watch it over and over again til it finishes (12+)? That's just my thinking, tho.
 
The highest I got was an eleven, and it still brings tears to my eyes when I remember that day, because I broke my first controller and still have a slight indentation on the palm of my hand where I pressed it so hard.

So all in all it was quite a good overdrive if you had either a superfast hand or like my cousin super cheated magick damage.
 
8 is my maximum! Used to really hurt my hand :-(
And yeah I agree with the other posters about using your palm, it's much less painful! Whoever said they got to 11... man... did your hand drop off after?!
 
No my hands still attached but it is still rather limp XD
I cant get a very good grip with it anymore for some reason, which my doctor cant give me a reason for. So I may have to make up some new condition to get out of my fitness lessons.

The worst damage I have caused playing a game is breaking my playstation 1 (old school!), I think I was playing FF7 and it kept crashing so I opened the lid then slammed it down as hard as I could... it gave a little whimper then died, and it never worked again :-( Maybe I can sue squaresoft too for causing me rage and kiling my poor PS!
Finfantasitous sounds pretty believable to me, try it out haha!
 
At first i didn't know that you had to use the right analog stick so i was so confused o_O even though im sure it said something at the top of it but me.. well i don't read XD.
My max i think.... was 8 or 9 o_O can't remember. But it hurt my hand.
I used my palm like Raven said it's much easier to get more furries XD.
It was cool but it hurt like hell for my poor hand the first few times i tried getting the max.. then i realized that well i suck so fuck it...

*looks at her right hand* I think when I used my palm, it wasn't directly in the middle of my palm. I think it was more down a bit near the wrist and under the pinky finger. Just on that cushion area. If it's right on your palm it will hurt after a while.
 
Hi guys, on Lulu's overdrive Fury, regardless of spell... what's the highest number anyone has got?

I was looking around and couldn't really see much higher than 8 /9, but I was playing FFX earlier and got 12! So thought I'd ask on who got what :P
 
Think my highest was 13 if I remember correctly. I have not played in a really long time so It could be incorrect. But yeah I remember it doing a crazy amount of damage and hitting like 13 ish times. It is hard though. D=.

Same here. My hands always start to really hurt after around 9-10 times so 13 was pushing it.
 
I think the higher the spell, like the -Aga's, the harder it is for you to get the number count up.

The highest with any spell I think i have gotten up to 8 or 9. My hands are just hurting by the time I get done. haha. I rarely use her overdrive just because of that.
 
12! Even that doesn't grant a "great" and its taken me frikkin ages to be able to do that. It should be made easier though. Like "press square" however many times you can manage in the time limit... that would be better :)

I think the highest I got on this overdrive was like around 12. Lulu's overdrive, the hardest in the game, is also my least favorite. Lulu is still the most interesting character though.:sup:
 
My average is 8-ish,but I think the highest I ever got was 11 or 12...It's the least useful overdrive in the game,to me;it's either a lot weaker than you would have expected or annoyingly long,in the case of spells like ultima;plus,it gives you carpal tunnel syndrome.:hmph:
 
My best was 8 on her highest magic at that point, and 12 on her first magics when she had firaga etc and was really high in the sphere grid, but I still didn't get a great

Also, people use their thumbs? I use the flat palm of my hand, it seems to get it much faster for me, if I use the thumb I'm lucky if I get three...
 
Nope, 8 is the magic number for me too, and that's using the more effective method of using the palm of my hand.

I think Jailie89's idea is cool. Maybe couple it with the rotate the R-stick thing, so that multiple presses of square give small casts (but are more numerous), and rotations of the R-stick give more powerful casts.

...or something. :P
 
Yeah, but we all did the button bashing in VIII- this makes it more interesting. If they'd made Lulu's overdrive a button basher, a lot of people may have gone "oh, god, another button basher. Can't we have something different?"

Or something...
