I most likely will, but when I do is dependent on reviews of the game, if it improves on what Final Fantasy XIII severely lacked then I'd be more than likely to pick it up quite early, however, if the reviews are mediocre then I'll just wait for the second week to come around and pick it up for £15.

If I'm happy with the trailer, gameplay, graphics, and plot summary, I may buy it. But I'm not entirely sure if I'll do that or rent it. I haven't even finished the first XIII yet, mainly because I haven't had the time to play any of my consoles, but also because I'm not super hooked on it. When I'm hooked on a game, I could play it every day no matter what my schedule is - but XIII doesn't give me that same vibe - not implying that I don't like it, though. Hopefully it won't be a large unexpected distinction like there was with X and X-2 .

Yes, though I feel awesome is an overstatement, is was an enjoyable experience nonetheless. The story had me captivated, as did the characters and the voice acting was superb. The graphics were awesome as well, but the gameplay got a bit too eh after a point, and it coulda done with the towns. The linearity...I thought it'd bug me, but tbh, I got so into the story that it went over my head until I got to end-game.

If they ditch the linearity and add towns mind, they can fix where XIII allegedly went wrong. I can see them adding outposts, though, unless they've decided to make parts of Pulse we didn't get the chance to explore occupied.

I liked 13, it was not the best game in the world, but it was okay. Thinking back, man it frustrated me, but it was okay. I would get the next one just because I've played this one, and I would kinda be curious about what's to happen next. And I'm a gamer, I love playing games-especially adventure games (well, this is sort of more than an adventure game...probably more actiony rpg), so why not?

Of course I will be buying it as I didnt think Final Fantasy XIII was that bad as some people claim. I did get 100% in Final Fantasy XIII and I plan to do it again with Final Fantasy XIII-2. I am Very interested to see what Square Enix wil do with the battle system. Also FF XIII took really long to develop and this is just 1 year.. Well we will see is all I can say. The darker storyline no doubt intrigues me. They will evolve FF XIII-2 in every possible way. I just hope they will and not make it a disappointment..

I plan on buying it, I always love FF games though I'd be more excited about buying it if I knew that any of the other original characters would be playable too.

Final Fantasy XIII, to me, was good and bad. It was a great JRPG that was almost an Action Adventure, but not necessarily an efficient Final Fantasy title. The storyline and characters were Final Fantasy-worthy, but the gameplay strayed a little too far from the original formula, so yes, I enjoyed it. I do plan on playing the sequel.

But I am frightened due to the fact it's been under construction for a little more than a year (apparently) and the original took like 5 years. HOW is this going to prove itself? But either way, this will be an interesting experience and I will probably preorder.

I'll probably rent/borrow it. Yes, I'm still scarred after the horror that was X-2 and I am very tentative about going out and buying a game I'm not sure of at full price...I really liked FFXIII, I found the story engaging, good voice acting and I enjoyed the battle system. I just hope XIII-2 is not going to try "sex-ify" Lightning.

I'm not expecting much from it but I'll probably get it anyway, yes it's mindless consumerism but I could care less. I reckon I will find at least something enjoyable about it. XIII wasn't that great, but I still enjoyed it. I wouldn't rate XIII as the worst FF.

I didn't really enjoy Final Fantasy XIII all that much personally, say with the exception of a few characters. At the most I may rent it just to see if they've somehow improved with the sequel but I don't have much expectations at this point.

I will buy it yes but not on the opening day Like I did with 13... I brought 13 just to find out it wasn't amazing.... i'm not doing the same with 13-2... also if it gonna be the same as 10-2 then there's no chance of me buying it :mokken:

If one of the trailers displays Lightning jumping up into the air screaming, "FAR OUT!" and high fiving another woman and giggling then we'll know, the shark has been jumped, my faithful friends. It has been jumped, shot, killed, raped wash, rinse, repeat with eleven more sharks.

They would have to make major changes for me to buy this game. The original got me so tight.

I enjoyed FFXIII in most ways because I blanked my mind of it being a FF title but I found it a good JRPG to me, and well if they can improve the battle system to allow you to do more, and make it far less linear (even putting some towns in it) I will most certainly pick it up, if it doesn't I will still buy it but far later.

I am definitely gonna buy FF13-2. FF13 was a great story and sure love to see a continuation of it. It's just like when I played Final Fantasy X back in 2002. Then once I heard about FFX-2 a year later, I had fallen in love with that game.

Now, I will be setting sights on getting that game. :) *Playing FFXIII for the second time* :)

Well based on the past. SE makes pretty shitty sequals. Although I would be interested in knowing how the people from cocoon make new lives on pulse. I think I might buy it. Don't really know. I mean XIII had a good storyline, but I don't think they can do much more with it. Look at X for example. One of the best stories ever, ruined by the sequel. I guess I'll have to wait for the reviews.

Definitely.

I liked Lightning and the other charaters a lot. I also heard there would be cities to explore and NPCs to interact with. Since those were the things I missed most in XIII, I can't wait to play this game:cheers:

Why not? I loved FFXIII, even though some characters were annoying as hell...*coughSnowcough* but yeah. The game honestly wasn't what I expected, and I was a bit let down, but you can't blame SE for experimenting. And besides, FFXIII-2 looks more medieval, so SE is probably going back in time, but I'm guessing more for the plotline than the gameplay itself.
