[Real RP!] - Have Party, Will Travel

Ryan was still busy pestering Ty to get him to wake up. He grinned at Cerden like the whole thing was small potatoes...while pinching Ty's fuzzy cheeks a little and stretching them, giving the lycan a silly expression.

"Oh that? The dude's a water elemental, I think. Those guys are pretty much magic in corporeal form, it's real easy for infernal powers to infect them," he said casually, proceeding to beep Ty's nose repeatedly. "I just took out whatever corruption was left in him. Kissing's just one of the ways to get that done. I don't think you need it, so don't come asking me for smooches. You're an interesting dude, but I think I'm too young for you~"

He kept pestering Ty. "Come on my fuzzy friend, wakey wakey! We're all waiting on you to head to the duke's treasury! C'mon, wake up~ We can't stay in Morris forever you know!"

"If you're sure then..." Raz kept an eye on Tali as the mage slowly made her way over to her bear mount and got on. As the mage sighed and closed her eyes wearily, leaning against her mount, Raz offered some consolation, as bumbling and awkward as it was. "We should be outta here soon," she said.

Then she caught Ryan's words to the unconscious Ty. "After a little plundering it seems. But hey, you've got an advantage on us there. You got a giant bear to carry your loot for you." She grinned and nudged Tali with her elbow in a conspiratorial fashion.

Now Ryan was making ridiculous honking sounds to wake up the wolfman. Raz shook her canteen and found it sadly depleted. Oh well, so much for that id-- Wait. Did he say water elemental?

Raz glanced at the so called 'elemental'. "Hey, AquaMan, think you can douse Wolfy here and wake him up?

Cerden couldn’t tell which was more worse? Ryan kissing the mage or him hinting that Cerden was old. Even though he had gotten use to the sarcasm that Ryan bares with his personality, he still didn’t like being called old. But this was besides the point. He did mention that the mage was infected by some type of magic, and with Ryan being a hard-ass most of the time, Cerden admires what he did, but really? Kissing another guy?

“Pfft, you wish. I’m just too damn good-looking for you.” Cerden smirked then laughed.

He waved his hand in the air, and whistled twice. This was the signal for Gary to come down. Of the whole time this all has been going on, Cerden hasn’t officially introduced him to his partner, and best friend. “Yo ryan, I’d like you to meet one of the best creatures I’ve known, Gary my beloved Gryphon.” Gary had a low growl as he did not like the scent of Ryan.

Aaron Sohm

"Ugh man I should have closed my eyes..."Aaron spoke to himself, within a few minutes his vision and hearing completely come back to him he see's that the duke was dead his body became some kind of dust..."...Ok... I should remember not to piss Tali off anytime soon..."He figured she did that and looked over at her with fear in his eyes.

Shaking his head Aaron decided to stand up and dust himself off, picking up his sword from the ground. He wasn't sure on what to do now since the Duke was dead and everyone seemed to be talking..He wasn't really a part of their group and felt out of place,He saw Raz and decided to walk over to her since he got to know her and Tali the most out of the group.

As he approaches he speaks to Raz."Guess it's over huh..So what do we do now..?"He asked her, looking down he see's a man whose out cold."Uhh how long has he been out..?"

((Ty isn't a man, he's a werewolf! Learn your lycanthropes, I say!

AND ZOMG MY COURSE IS (temporarily) OVER SO I CAN HAZ POST!))

Tysorai didn't remember being knocked out cold. The last thing he remembered was yelling out to the elemental to drown the duke - it seemed the obvious solution! After that, though, it was hazy.

And then he woke to Ryan beeping his nose.

Tysorai waited until Ryan's hand moved closer, then shot his hand up and grabbed Ryan's thumb and bent it backwards. "Do that again," Ty growled, "and I'll break your thumb."

Tysorai released Ryan's thumb and pushed himself up, doing his level best to ignore the painful throbbing in his back. Nothing was broken - of that he was sure - but his entire back seemed to want to burst. Swelling and bruising; Tysorai would never see it, but under his fur his back was going to turn every colour under the sun. Tysorai bent over and grabbed his fallen dagger, sheathing it with his other one. He listened for a moment - ignoring the chattering of his 'allies' - before determining that in his incapacitation the group had proven victorious over the demon king. It helped that the smell of rotting demon brain permeated the air.

"Let's move on," Tysorai said bluntly. "He's dead, and I want my pay. Which way to the treasury?" Compliments could come afterward. Right now, all he wanted was the chinkle of gold, platinum, and rare gems.

He is a man-wolf, man can be the male of something you know ^^

Also, crappy post is crappy, at least I'm here! ^^
-----------------

As people started recovering, Seth started seeing the faces of the group outside a fight, something that was quite different. He overheard one of the men asking the blood bender about the kiss and got an answer according to what Seth expected.
Seth was called on, with the term ‘Aquaman’, he did not react instantly as this was not something he was quite used to but as his mind processed what it heard it became apparent that he was the only one that fit the description. Though as Seth were about to do as asked he were slightly reluctant as it sounded like an order instead of a request; or was that just his mind not remembering most ways of asking things? He had been ornamental to a lot of aristocrats and the like lately so it might just be that he was used to a higher class method of asking; something that sounded forced in itself if you thought about it. Though all this it ended up not needed of him as the canine had awoken by its own merit, an investigation of its eyes revealed that they were indeed covered by a black cloth; further supporting that the wolf was blind.
Simply standing there awaiting the next course of action, Seth took in the life these people spoke with, the energy in their words; this were so much better than the so called ‘better’ of the people.

Tali was pretty relieved to hear that they would be out of the castle soon. However, she was even more so relieved to hear that they would be getting to the treasure soon. Even though she was beyond exhausted, hearing the mere concept of large amounts of money perked her up just a bit. “Yes, let us please go. As you all well know, I am only here for the money.” Tali quickly sat back up and stretched a little bit. “If we stay here for too much longer, I am bound to pass out.”

She tried to suppress a yawn, but couldn’t quite manage it. So her yawn simply came out as a tiny squeak. Tali quickly blushed as she heard it. “C-can we go now?”

Raz shrugged at Aaron. "No idea." A moment later, after Ty woke up, she grinned and said, "Nevermind. We're looting the place. No fun pillaging until you get to plunder, right?"

Then she laughed at Tali's wry comment about only being here for the money. She had to stop herself from heartily slapping the elf on the back companionably. "Ha! A woman after my own heart. Have you ever considered the mercenary business by any chance?"

When Tali's yawn came out as a squeak, Raz was a model of self control by not laughing. She was in no position to make fun. She squeaked when she sneezed, a dainty little sound that Jazz always called 'cute'. She hated being called cute, and yet Jazz was the only one that could get away with it and not get his face punched in.

Raz turned to Ryan. "I wish I could tell you where the treasury is, but I have no idea. They never let us get near it. This is the second time I've been in the throne room." Raz scratched her head as she cast a skeptical look about her. "Not as impressive as I remembered."

(( OOC: :D well then friends, as the French say--ALLONS Y! ))

Ryan just grinned at Ty even though the lycan was close to breaking his finger--nothing new to the bard.

"Aw, I'm glad you're alright too, pooch," he said with a cooing voice and gave the werewolf a big 'ol pat on the back.

"No worries Raz, the soldier I threatened to sodomize before gave me directions. We're good. And ah...you better come with us, we're all in a bit of a mess right now. If we all get the hell out of dodge before the Dukedom's army has a chance to roll through or the Imperial Guard realizes what's happened, we'll be sparing ourselves a lot of paperwork," he said, sheathing his longsword after picking it up from the floor.

He moved over to the side and inspected a hanging tapestry. "By the way, what's your name, water elemental?" he asked, grabbing the ornate piece of cloth and giving it a strong yank.

It came down with a loud tearing sound, revealing a hidden door beneath it. It was barely visible as the masonry over it disguised it very well. "Oooh I've seen one of these before. Allow me."

Ryan manifested a couple of thin wires from the gauntlet that formed onto his arm again and carefully slid them in the crack of the wall. He fiddled around a bit, licking his lips absently and squinting some, then a loud click was heard. "Oho, there we are," he muttered and after a bit more fiddling the door suddenly opened inward with loud grinding noises, revealing a staircase heading down.

"Ty, mind doing me a favor and listening in while we go? You've got better ears, you're more likely to catch the sound of booby-traps," he said, eying the staircase. "Yo Raz, I saw a lit torch on that wall, bring it over," he added, picking up a torch that had gone out during the battle.

Tysorai snorted at Ryan. "What am I, your own personal trap-sniffer?" he replied. "It doesn't work that way, bloodbag. The best I can do is listen for clicks or smell for gas in the air. Don't you think that's a bit too reactive? Or don't you mind getting your manhood severed by a swinging pendulum?"

Tysorai walked up towards Ryan and gripped the tapestry. He gave it a quick sniff before turning to Ryan. "There's no trace of poison on this, though that doesn't make a difference here on out." He turned back and walked towards Raz. When he came up beside her he said, "Normally I don't trust people...but you and Ryan seem to have hit it off, and stupid though he may be he tends to have good gut instincts. I'm betting you can see. Do me a favour and keep an eye out for anything odd. My ears and nose can only get me so far." He turned towards the one called Cerden, or whose voice he had attributed with that name. "I'd like you to do the same, if you please."

With that, he turned to 'look' at all the other members this party had accrued, and began to get dizzy. He hadn't really noted it, but...there were lots of people. Too many to hope for any sort of stealth or subterfuge, though by now that was entirely unnecessary. That so many warriors of skill had come together, however, Ty found unlikely. A chance meeting with one or two others, perhaps, and even the water elemental didn't seem that far-off of a chance (however slim). Ty just shook his head and said to them, "Let's be on our way, shall we? The sooner we all get some money in our paws, the sooner we can leave."

Tysorai turned and walked back towards the passage Ryan had uncovered. He sniffed the passage a bit then turned back and pointed towards the one called Aaron. "You. You go in first. You haven't done any fighting, so if you want any share of the treasure then you'll have to do your part. I don't allow free rides." He turned to Ryan. "There's not a whiff of the duke's blood on the little bastard. He's first." Ty's tone brooked no argument.

It appeared Raz didn’t know where the treasury was. Which was a shame, Tali would have assumed she would have some kind of clue as to where it was. She turned towards Raz and sighed. “I suppose that is a shame. Well, as long as we get there eventually… before I pass out would be nice. And yes… I have thought about it, but I fear no one would take me seriously due to my size.” She paused for a brief second as she thought about it. “I suppose if I had someone like you standing next to me that it would not be much of a problem.”

Tali turned around when she heard Ryan and the others speaking. She wasn’t paying attention to the words as they were not speaking to her. However, she was watching Ryan’s movement rather closely. When he went to pull down the tapestry, she noticed it almost immediately. There was a door there. The masonry around it almost completely concealed it. Luckily, it seemed that Ryan was already working on getting the door open.

He formed some sort of gauntlet on his arm and something came out of it. She couldn’t see from her angle so she brought Berhu a little closer. Once she did so, he had the door open. From the looks of it, it led down some rather dark looking stairs. Ryan had mentioned something about a torch, but Tali had already brought up a familiar red light up on the end of her staff. “I can take care of the light; I am not that tired.”

Unfortunately, Berhu wasn’t good with going down stairs as he was going up them. “Sorry, Berhu… you will have to stay here.” She said. With a slight wince of pain she leapt off of Berhu and landed on her feet. It hurt, but she wasn’t going to let it stop her from getting treasure. Ty, the wolf had turned to Aaron after speaking to Raz somewhat and demanded the he go first. This gesture made Tali chuckle a little bit. He did prove rather useless in that last battle, after all.

“Hurry it up, I do not have all day.”

It seemed as Cerden’s attempt to get Ryan familiar to Gary was seen as nothing but an invisible approach, as Ryan not only ignored Gary, but also went on ahead to continue with the plans. Not like Cerden could be too mad, but still. The least Ryan could’ve done was point out that now wasn’t the time to do it.

It appeared what Ryan was doing was finding the secret hiding place where the Duke must’ve hidden the door to the treasury. It was behind an expensive-looking tapestry that had several shiny jewels imbedded into it as well as silk that looked be worth over one-hundred thousand gold coins. What Ryan did to get the door to reveal itself is that he gave the tapestry a big tug, which in response gave a real nice ripping sound that Cerden has come to like over the years. From that, Ryan proceeded to do some freaky magic thing with his blood power, and after some fiddling around, he got the door open. And now began the part everyone came here to do: get the treasure and amscray.

Before anyone could go through the door, down the stairs, and into the treasury, Ryan was sure there would be booby traps. So, in that the furry man came into action. He was a werewolf and in that notion, he had better hearing and other senses than anybody in the room. He took it upon himself to appoint Aaron as the test dummy. Since he practically did nothing throughout the whole fight.

Knowing that Gary wasn’t all that well in tight, closed spaces, he decided that Gary would stay put with the other pet that the elf girl decided to leave behind, by the looks of it, “Gary, stay here. I know you don’t like being in tight places.”

“Yes, let the joker go first. It’s time to put up or shut up, kidI” Cerden said loudly as he had his hands behind his head in butterfly wings fashion. “I’m going to get that precious ruby that was a family airloom to the duke, by the wayI” Cerden shouted once more, but this time to the whole group.

(( OOC: Woopsies, Sexy Beast you're right, I totally forgot about the introduction of Gary. My apologies. D: Also, I have Aaron's permission to play his character while he's absent. ^_^

And of course I do something bad to him. Hee~ ))

Aaron suddenly found himself being seized by arm from the bard, who was sporting a fangy grin and as Aaron just noticed properly, creepy red eyes.

"Oh yes, I completely agree with you, Ty. You're coming with me kid," Ryan said.

"Huh?!" he blurted. "Wait, I didn't--I mean, I can't...I can't be your meatshield here! Who knows what's in there!"

He didn't want to sound like a coward--and he wasn't--but just walking into a dark staircase that was definitely booby-trapped? That wasn't about cowardice or bravery, that was just plain stupid!

"Oh yes you are," Ryan said, still grinning in a manner that got increasingly creepy. "You and I are going to be the point guard in this little promenade. It'll be fun, don't worry! What' your name again?"

"Aaron," the swordsman blurted sheepishly.

With that, he was forced to walk with the bard as they descended into the dark staircase.

"Light it up whenever you're ready sweetheart," Ryan called to Tali.

Meanwhile, blood oozed out of the gauntlet he was still forming around his arm and a large glob of it formed into a mass of thick wires. They stretched ahead, tapping at the walls and feeling for any recesses, shelves or anything else suspicious.

"Mind where you step, Aaron," he told the kid warily. "If you feel anything give way under your foot or click, tell me and take a big step backwards."

Aaron nodded nervously. Never before had he been used as a scout for booby-traps.

"Now, the guard mentioned something about an automatic crossbow trap at the end of this..." Ryan muttered. "But there could be something along the walls. Hmm, we do need the light. My wires will trip anything ahead of us in case there's something unsavory."

(OOC: Sorry for the late reply guys, I was really busy all week! D:)

Raz turned back to Ryan and apologized for not handling the torch as he had asked. "Thought I heard something," she said. Ever the cautious soldier, she scanned the empty throne room again, red-black eyes expertly flicking from shadow to crevice to nook, prodding at all the places an enemy may be able to hide.

Shaking her head, she ran a hand through her black hair and grimaced at the feel of sticky blood there. She hated washing blood out of her hair. It took hours to get the stink of iron and copper out.

When Ty came up and spoke her her confidentially, she merely nodded once to show she understood. "I got your back," she said quietly.

At Tali's little comment about the mercenary business, Raz grinned. "Hey, I'm game for that. And actually, being short isn't all that bad. Makes enemies underestimate you then BAM -- lighting bolt in the face." She laughed as they advanced to follow Ryan and Aaron down the stairs. "Anyways, you'd probably be better than me at haggling out contracts. People look at me," she waved her arms to encompass her blood-covered form, "And tend to shy away. Don't know why..." she said dryly.

Tali made sure the light on the tip of her staff was bright enough so that everyone could see it. Just like before, it was the red light from the tunnel Raz and the rest of them were in earlier. That way, if they ran into a room with light their eyes would already be mostly adjusted to it. Ryan walked in front of them with his “wires” in front of him. He explained that they would (or should) trip any trap in front of them. Tali hoped so; she didn’t want to be on the wrong end of a trap.

“Hey, I’m game for that. And actually, being short isn’t all that bad. Makes enemies underestimate you then BAM – lightning bold in the face.” Raz replied. Tali was actually able to crack a smile at that as they slowly continued down the stairs. “Anyways, you’d probably be better than me at haggling out contracts. People look at me,” she continued as she waved her arms. “And tend to shy away. Don’t know why…

Thinking about it for a little bit, Tali couldn’t help but think it a good idea. She could be the brains and Raz; the muscle. It made perfect sense. While she could get the contracts and haggle, Raz could beat them into submission if they refused to pay or tried to get off light. The possibilities were plentiful. Not to mention while Raz was taking enemies out at close range, Tali could blast them from afar! “I think… I would rather like that, actually. Perhaps once all this is over we can go into the mercenary business together.”

She paused for a brief second. “Of course, you will have to handle all of the physical stuff. After all, you are much bigger than I am. Perhaps we can talk about it further over drinks at the tavern?”

OOC: sorry about delay, the email subscription failed and I have been super busy as of late...
---------------------

Seth was still somewhat out there; this was the closest to interaction he has had with anyone that took him for anything besides jewelry in quite the wile. As the bloodbender passed the elemental the question about a name came from his lips, a valid question.
“You can call me Seth…” the gem answered honestly, though the slight pause on the end of his answer dragged a little, as if he planned to give his last name but didn’t know what it was.

Standing there to think about this lack of knowledge, he did have a last name, no? Or were he only Seth from the beginning… He could swear that he had some millennia old memories of introducing himself as something more than Seth; writing it, being called it…

In his daze of memory searching, he followed the group into the hidden door and into the tunnel where a man could barely, barely walk past another. Not paying it any attention, and not picking up any notion of traps, trap-bunnies or tentacle-raping the walls to find triggers. He thought and though… His memories, he could see –or rather hear- in his head someone going *”Seth ---el”*, it ended on ‘el’? or was that just something else? The strangest thing was that the video that played though his head had a strange lack of audio once they mentioned his last name, and for some reason he could not read their lips in there either…

*Click*
The sound of a metal hook being released from a stone latch brought him back into reality, a split second of looking showed that he had managed to walk past everyone, including Mr. Minesweeper and the blood-octopus, and the fate-stamping click sound marked a stone slab on the floor that had suddenly sunk a quarter inch (~1cm) into the floor.
The sound of rusty metal against old and worked stone echoed across the tunnel and out to the room that marked the Duke’s end, large amounts of water found itself splattered across the ceiling, walls and running down mixing with the dirty stone. About a dozen iron spikes had impaled Seth from all directions, his torso, legs, arms even his head had been given holes in them that were currently occupied by rusty metal.
Seth’s body lost its physical form but it managed to maintain the humanoid shape.
“This was a surprise…” Seth muttered loud enough for the lot to hear as he took a few steps further, gliding though the metal –or rather the other way around- until he was on the other side of the spikes.
The water around in this room started to flow towards the humanoid blob of water as it entered Seth’s upstanding pool, the spikes retracted and the stone came back up to its normal height.
“It appears there is a trap on that rock, I recommend against stepping on it.” He stated as a strange blue glow surrounded Seth a split second after the remaining water got back to him; his body took back its physical form with clothes and everything. Not really reacting as if something special happened, everything done and said by the water elemental was with the same emotionless face as ever.
“If you wish I can take point. I cannot say for certain but I think the odds are slightly larger for me to survive traps like this than you people.” He did have a point, though he could still end up without water via a trap hitting the gem and forcing it out of the body; he would still not die from it as the others would.

Ryan took the torch from Raz with a word of thanks and pretty much dragged the very reluctant Aaron with him as they took point--although to be fair, Ryan did keep Aaron a step behind him. He was examining a suspicious looking brick on the wall when Seth (as the elemental called itself) sailed right past him without a care in the world...

...and promptly got epically shanked.

Ryan bit back a bit of a cackle as he watched the elemental sheepishly reform itself from the scattered water.

"Okay, trap number one found! If anybody wants to make a drinking game out of this or bet on the number of traps, now's a good time to start!" Ryan said cheekily as Aaron stared at the trap with a gaping mouth.

Ryan promptly bent over the booby-trapped rock and using wires and his armored arm, ripped it out of the floor. It made a clicking sound but the spikes only popped out half way, then receded back into the wall. Ryan broke the stone he was holding against the floor and used the two pieces to jam the pressure mechanism, rendering it harmless.

"I hope all the other traps are all this old school," he said. "If that's the case I can probably disable any ones we find."

He pondered a moment while continuing down the hallway. "Probably."

"At least we have the elemental here taking the brunt of them..." Aaron muttered, shrugging and almost sighing as he got dragged along by the bard.

"Oh cheer up, Seth's awfully kind to take point for us. You should thank him for that," Ryan dismissed Aaron politely.

The next few steps were safe, but then Ryan noted a very thin ray of light that seemed to come from above and diagonally. He thought it was probably just a crack in the castle wall but then it clicked into place in his head.

"Oh, Seth hold on, wait--" he blurted.

Too late.

When the elemental broke the thin line of light, a loud sound of cranks whirring shook the hallway and a series of clicks came from above.

"Look out!" Ryan blurted and backed against the wall, shoving Aaron against the other one as a steel ball the size of a bowling ball, dropped down like a lead weight and...promptly smashed Aaron on the foot.

Ryan was pretty sure they heard the kid's shout all the way to Valentia.

Before he could ask Aaron if anything was broken, a much louder thud came from in front of them and then he was soaked by a large splash of water, just as something zipped past his ear, whistling like a bolt. The projectile then wedged itself into the vaulted ceiling right overhead.

"Holy shit," Ryan blurted, wiping his face. "Aaron, you okay? Anything broken?"

"No, just my...dignity," Aaron grunted, leaning against the wall and holding his injured foot, biting his lower lip in pain. "I'm glad I bought such tough boots."

With a small nod of relief, Ryan looked at the massive anvil that had dropped from the ceiling moments after the smaller ball had. Other heavy objects had crashed down in front of them, but thankfully everybody else was a step or so behind, and avoided being hit completely. But water from the elemental had reached all the way back there too.

"Seth? Are you okay?" Ryan said, as the cranks whirred again, slower, and the chains attached to all the objects started pulling them upward.

Ryan manifested a one-hand axe in his hand and chopped at the chains. The thinner ones took a mere hit to cut, others needed up to three.

"I may need some help," came the elemental's voice from the ceiling.

Ryan chuckled. The gem was embedded into the ceiling, out of reach of any water. He was afraid the impact of the anvil might've shattered the gem and possibly killed the elemental, but it seemed that he was made of much sterner stuff. The impact had just managed to flatten his watery body and send the gem flying upwards like a bullet.

"Blimey Seth, you nearly took my head off," the bard cackled. "Aaron, see if you can get him down from there," he added, continuing to disable the trap. Cutting the weights off would make the trap a little more than an annoyance of dangling chains.

The swordsman grumbled a bit but using his sword, was able to dig the elemental out of the ceiling, and the gem tinked against the wet floor, bouncing down a few steps.

"Sorry," Aaron said sheepishly.

-------

((OOC: Of course I have permission to god-mod Seth a little. Red Fox gave it! It's all for the lulz! ))

Raz grinned and gave Tali a friendly slap on the back, being careful to make it gentle. She knew her strength got the better of her sometimes. "That sounds like a damn fine idea, Tali. Drinks are on me."

The first trap passed by rather uneventfully, though it was interesting to see the water elemental sheepishly reconstitute his body. But when Aaron had his foot smashed, Seth splashed everywhere, and now Ryan was whistling a tune as he hacked at the chains.... it was too much for Raz.

Raz started laughing her ass off. Her rich alto voice rebounded down the passageway as she laughed, shaking her head helplessly. In between fits of laughter, she nudged Tali and winked, pointing to Seth's gem embedded into the ceiling.

"Ha ha ha! It's the opposite! Hee hee, he shrunk outta the shower!"
Raz laughed heartily at this dirty joke. "Get it? No water, he shrinks? Must be a hit with the ladies! A 'swell' surprise! HA HA HA HA HA!" Unable to stand up straight any longer, Raz doubled over and braced her hands on her knees, laughing uncontrollably at the floor.

Lurching somewhat forward from Raz’s slap on the back, Tali replied.“Oh, good, I can save my money.” She was starting to believe having Raz on her side would be more than a great idea. Just from that pat on the back alone her back was on fire. Maybe it was because Tali was too small… or perhaps Raz too huge… Just immediately after she said that, Waterboy sprung a trap. It appeared that he managed to walk by everyone without a care in the world. Spikes impaled him all over from the wall. Unfortunately, he was still alive… very much so to the disappointment of Tali. Even with spikes going through him and his body now being liquid, he still sounded like a pompous ass. Tali couldn’t do anything else but roll her eyes. She sincerely hoped that he wouldn’t stay with the group after all was said and done.

But then again, she didn’t know if she would be staying with the group or not. As she pondered that, Waterboy came back with his physical body back apparently unharmed. Tali sighed and rolled her eyes at him. How can one learn from mistakes if he is too pompous to realize he made one and he cannot feel the pain from it? How stupid. Tali thought to herself. It wasn’t long after the first trap that he ran into a second one. Ryan had even attempted to warn him of it!

A large steel ball dropped down and apparently landed on the foot of Aaron. Tali instantly smiled to herself and placed her own back against the wall just in case anything else came flying. And then… water came from the Elemental’s direction. As she looked over to see Ryan heading that way, she noticed a gem embedded into the ceiling.

From behind her, she could hear Raz’s laugher echo in the hallway. She nudged Tali and pointed at the Waterboy in the ceiling. “Ha ha ha! It’s the opposite! Hee hee, he shrunk outta the shower! Get it? No water, he shrinks? Must be a hit with the ladies! A swell surprise! HA HA HA HA HA!” Raz promptly doubled over and started laughing with her hands on her knees. While typically, Tali was a pillar of self control… even she couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh come on… let us not think to… little of him. Hopefully his dignity is not on short supply.” Now, much like Raz, she couldn’t stop laughing either. A part of her wished that he was gone… but the other part wanted him around. After all, getting to make fun of someone like that was great.

Ty frowned. He hadn't thought of 'Seth' taking point. He had been more concerned with evenning the playing field than actually getting Aaron through the traps. He hated freeloaders. But, even as there was a rumble from the ground and a "shink!" of spikes impaling Seth's form, he had to admit that this was the most effective and logical solution. "Damned freeloaders," Ty groused, walking slightly behind Ryan.

Tysorai heard the trap spring before Ryan, and dodged to the side. As soon as there was a crash, Tysorai covered his ears and clenched his face in agony as the full force of Aaron's wail struck his ears. That sodding little git! Ty raged inwardly. Next time he screams like that, I'll rip his heart out! As Ryan tended to the wounded Aaron.

Tysorai could neither smell nor see the results of Seth's dilemma - but he had heard it. What annoyed him most was that Raz had attempted to make a joke...and it was terrible. Slapstick was unamusing to Tysorai - there was absolutely nothing funny about Seth's situation. In fact, if Ty were able to see and smell the gem, he would have leapt up there and dislodged Seth himself, but alas he could not. Which was fine in any case -

Because a small rock fell and bounced off his head.

Tysorai did not move, nor did he react initially. After a few seconds, Tysorai inhaled deeply and exhaled to suppress his mounting temper. Then he said, "Let's move on shall we?
