A mixture. His appareance and 'personality' is that off a wolf. By that i mean he howls. But he is very agile like cats...so i guess we can say he is a mix.

IU'd say hes more like a wolf than anything else, although he is slightly Lion-ish so maybe hes a mixture of both? after all it is called final FANTASY

Cosmo Canyon/Nanaki has a destinctly native american feel about it, this culture has a lot of connections with wolves but none with big cats, which are African.

And I've seen the word "chupacabra" more than 10 times, I'm sure. LOL.
