"Tch! What foolishness is this?!" Emperor Thelmacain IX exclaimed standing upright from his throne chair.

He strode out of the room and into his quarters thinking quickly as he went. What on Earth kind of magic had that woman just unleashed? How could she have caused him to break his connection to the corpse? WHAT KIND OF POWER WAS THIS?! The Emperor was angry and fuming as he strode over to the Thelma Capital's private castle library. Thousands of years of knowledge of mana and power and he had not obtained this kind of power, the power to summon Daos back into this world!

The Emperor fumed as he had never heard of something such as this, a mere Magicked filth summoning a Daos for aid, or maybe the Daos was protecting her? The Emperor craved this power and began to look it up in his study. He would want this power of mana for himself. The power to enslave a Daos or maybe obtain one for his own personal use would make him very powerful indeed.

Revilo Green

The room reeked of dead flesh and Revilo managed to turn himself over. It seemed as though a powerful being had come to protect them, but from what he saw, more specifically it was protecting Akira. She must have had a similar power to his own. The summoned creature looked about the same as the summoned creature he had seen before in Hautou. The man managed to sit up, if only for a few moments before seeing that Mary and Akira were not harmed. A small wave of relief had washed over him, but it quickly left, as he remembered they were still in the castle.

He gripped a nearby bookshelf and tried to hist himself up to be able to stand. His torso felt hot and the pain it delivered became aggravating with time. It seemed that the Daos woman entity was still there and she seemed to give a comforting presence to the place.
"Is everyone alright?"

Escape the castle - [Revilo][Mary][Akira]
- All is clear! Your opportunity to escape is now!

Meet the others - [Rune]
- You have caused your distraction as promised but will you meet the rest of the team?

Mary was still in surprise at the creature as the monster just...blew itself to oblivion. She put the bow around her shoulder and clutched her side. It was still stained in blood, but she would survive. She couldn't move much, letting herself lean on the wall. Revilo was slowly picking himself off the ground after suffering such injury. "Is everyone alright?"

"I'm fine." Mary said, as calmly as possible, with pain in her voice. "Is...Is that monster dead?" Mary added, turning towards Akira and the creature she summoned. It was beautiful, and yet deadly at the same time.

OOC: So... should she just disappear with a cryptic answer? Or do you have something for her set up Oli?

Akira

Akira felt like just rolling over and dieing. Her body was kicking and screaming at her like a spoilt child, with perfect reasons to. From the assassination till now, Akira had been belting the heck out of her body with little time for rest besides that when she was on horseback and that barely counts. On top of the recent beatdown she just went through, the recent summon of this magical being made her feel almost like a corpse. Her stomach felt wretched, as if she had emptied everything, even her organs, but even then, she as still grateful as she was alive.

"Is everyone alright?"

"I'm fine. Is...Is that monster dead?"

The two voices she heard meant that her travelling companions were also still of this realm. All she could remember was Revilo and Mary jumping in to her aid and getting brutally battered around. Taking another few seconds of rest, Akira struggled to her feet, first using the rubble around her, then her sword as a cane. One hand clutched the side of her head, eyes wincing at the pain that coursed through her body. Before she could look to see if the monster was dead, an unearthly, beautiful voice filled the air. No matter how entrancing it was, it was clear that it was not human.

Ah~~~~ And here i thought he was something special. In the end, i guess i should have just dealt with it with my fan.

The being sat afloat in the air as if there was an invisible chair under her. Her fan was still covering her lower face as if she was trying not breath in any of the air. She ignored the three humans that were alive as if they were an afterthought before turning her eyes towards them.

Oh my~~~ You three do look worse for wear. Mayhaps i should have appeared earlier...

Akira stood defiant in her presence, but it was taking her all to not crumble at her knees.., and it was not due to fatigue.

I thank you for your assistance, but... what are you....? Why did you help us?

OOC: Oli, imma gonna slight time skip Remus and Reyu onto the Southern Continent. So by the time we post that the trio escape, they'll be in the same timeline, give or take a few hours.

Remus

Remus had crouched low, his cloak still draped over his armour. Althea had not made a peep since she had been tied down and was in fact, curled up and sleeping. His beloved mount needed it after what she had gone through recently. Taking off his helm, Remus continued to scan the horizon in a 360 degree sweep. He had taken the rudder, steering the small ship towards the Southern Continent. A slight feeling of unease boiled below. Truthfully, he has never been to the Southern Continent much to have remembered the layout of the land by memory. All he had was topographical maps, but nothing in detail. He just hoped Reyu has a better idea.

Several hours of slowy gliding across the water and the duo plus bird bumped quietly into the sand of a secluded beach. The sun was soon going to rise and it was best for them to go and hide out. As quietly as possible, Remus let Althea off the boat and onto the sand before stashing the boat in a small alcove to the side of the beach. Trekking inland, Remus did an internal jump for joy. An abandoned farmhouse with a barn stood not too far from the beach. The house was in pieces with charred wood still sticking out like a skeleton, but hte barn still had its roof.

Sorry Reyu, but Althea has had it. I don't think she can continue on without rest. Let us hide out in that barn for a bit.

Reyu was a bit reluctant to take a rest so soon after hitting land and was about to complain before she saw how agitated Althea was. The bird was pawing away at the ground and shaking its head impatiently. It would be a bad idea to force Remus to keep going. If his precious mount died because of her, she didn't think a simple sorry would cut it, especially not after seeing how much he cared for it.

Fine i guess.... But only for a short while.

Thanks...

Within minutes, they had settled down in the barn. Remus climped up into the loft and sat near the window as look out.

OOC: Disappearance with a cryptic answer will be fine for now. I'll try and get the time moving along from here. Also I think some of these characters need some well earned rest! I apologize for being so late, I've recently become much busier than normal.

Chief Tallock

The gates to the grounds of Relfthia castle were heavily guarded and closed shut. Within those gates women, men, children and demon kind alike were banded together on the castle grounds and inside of the castle wondering what could possibly be happening. Chief Tallock of the demon tribe stood about the grounds watching the bloodied bunch of innocents huddled together in fear. So far the mysterious fog had rolled about outside the castle.

The screams of others from outside the sealed castle gates no longer echoed out. Instead sounds of beasts roamed about on the other side. "Sir, we've got a survivor who claims to have spotted the enemy." came one of the Demon warriors.

"Take me to him." The chief replied following hurriedly behind his soldier as he went.

"The man was rescued just outside the west gate entrance. He claims to know what these beasts are." spoke the soldier as he led the demon chief towards a spot near the castle entrance.

A human soldier had sat near the entrance looking exhausted. He looked as if he belonged to the last of the Thelma soldiers who put up little resistance when the demons had invaded. "What kind of monster are we dealing with?" chief Tallock asked at once as he saw the man.

The tired human soldier just looked up and spoke with a sense of absent hope. "It looked like beasts. Like giant humanoid monsters, like one of your kind."

There were a series of snarls from the demon warriors as they heard the man's insulting association. "I doubt this is the work of our 'kind'." the chief spoke.

"Their strength is somewhat beastly. They came with the fog that surrounded the place. And they smell aweful, but you demons should be used to-"

"How about we just use this one as bait to escape?" the feline demon warrior spoke with a sense of dislike. "It's his kind that has forced us to take action in the first place."

"We cannot just abandon all of these people to save our own lives." Chief Tallock spoke before an echoing moan came flooding the grounds from the West gate of the castle.

Demon and Thelmacain soldiers gathered at the gate to investigate at once the strange beast that was trying to emerge. The moan resounded once more as a harsh bang upon the castle gate went on repeatedly. "Get prepared for battle." the old demon chief commanded his soldiers as he took up his own battle axe.

"Get all of the innocent's into the castle." he spoke to the Thelmacain soldier as he rushed toward the gate.

Warriors stood gathering around the place as the banging upon the gate continued loudly.

Ms. Meira Veska

The scientist walked toward the castle of the Thelmicain Emperor. She had taken pride in her own work but questioned herself on her decision to work with the Emperor. It was always best to work on his side, but for a long while she knew nothing of his intentions. Veska knew nothing but the instructions she had been given to build and expand upon the technology of the Empire, but she couldn't figure out why.

Nevertheless she enjoyed her job very much and had gotten the chance to dabble in experimenting all about technology and medical drugs. The new opportunity that the new Thelmacain King had given her was something very few would get to dabble with. Nearing the end of the corridor where the entrance to the Emperor's room resided Veska entered quickly, maintaining a calm expression upon her face so as to contain her excitement. "You called for me sir?"

Emperor Thelma IX looked up from his seat in the small circular library room in which he sat. He seemed slightly insulted at not being addressed properly but Veska paid no attention. "Yes please come in. I'd like to talk to you about the new technologies you have created and the new gadgets you shall be creating in the future."

Veska took a nearby chair and sat at the small rectangular table the man sat at. "A new material recovered from the Magicked caverns is being shipped here as we speak." Thelma IX spoke as he glanced at her for a second before looking back down into his own book.

"May i ask what we need this material for?" Veska asked staring at the man intensely.

"There are troublemakers who may try and rise against all that I have built and all that my fathers have built. With the trouble our way of life is facing it is only necessary to resort to such measures."

"Does this mean that the mighty Thelmacain Empire actually has a chance at being threatened by those 'Bithians' and Demons?" Veska spoke with a mocking shocked tone. "Sure they may have seized the other kingdoms but I doubt they would be clueless enough to keep advancing assuming there is no retaliation?"

The Emperor looked up at the woman's eyes; they flashed brown in her serious facial expression. "Of course Bithian's and Demons aren't a challenge for myself however it's the beasts that fly the skies that pose more of a threat if anything."

Veska's eyes and brain lit up in an instance. "So you're thinking there must be a way to defeat them using a mana infused material?" Veska mumbled aloud allowing her mind to wander.

She had created tools that could render the use of magic spells obsolete. This time she would be doing the same on a much bigger scale.

Laleth Aires

Laleth lay in bed with her eyes open. She stared out of the window of what belonged to her father's bedroom. The morning looked like it would be a gray one. She slowly watched the sun rise until it finally gave light to the clouds crowding the sky. Laleth rose at that point, there was no reason for her to lay there if she wasn't going to rest. Her mind had begun to wander to what the others were doing at this moment.

She felt as though maybe Revilo would probably be off exploring and learning about Demons with Mary. She tried to picture what kinds of culture or situations the other two would have gotten into but just couldn't bring herself to. She began to slowly dress herself as she stared out of the humongous window beside her wardrobe. She couldn't help but spot many people, looking like ant from her height, pouring in the city of Idunblim. After the flying beasts had destroyed her father the city had done a decent job of rebuilding itself and maintaining structure. So far nothing but refugees and survivors from other cities had managed to create a stir in Idunblim.

All was quiet outside of Laleth's door which surprised her as she stepped through the exit of the room. The castle corridors were chilly as even the castle guards seemed to decrease in number. It was odd to Laleth but she returned to the room where she had previously slept in on her last visit to Idublim Castle to meet her father. The girl entered to hollow room which was full of the dresses and other useless things she had stacked it with before she left the castle. Laleth preferred this room more, for she knew the rumor of it very well. The rumor of her mother's suicide as she jumped out of it's window and toward her death. A rumor of which Laleth held close to her.

She didn't know why her life had become the way it was. She had been raised as an orphan in a church and to become a princess and now a queen was a transition that was so quick it almost sickened her. And only one woman had been by her side the whole time and yet Laleth heard nothing of her since she had returned. Upon this thought she froze. "Melissa? She must still be here!" Laleth spoke aloud rushing out of the room to find out where her personal maiden and former nun had gone.

Chief Tallock

The beast had burst forth through the Relfthia castle west gate. Cheif Tallock stood his ground, his battle axe ready to encounter whatever would come through. A beast in the shape of a man that stood twenty feet tall and possessed twice the muscle of the demon tribe's six best warriors came slowly walking through. It's face looked hideous and it seemed to wear no clothes. One eye could be seen through a fold in the creature's seemingly melting face.

The Tallock took up his battle axe and charged toward it as the creature let out an ear splitting cry. A feline demon warrior charged from behind he chief and a dog warrior beside her. A pale demon woman warrior with wings stood as backup to support her colleagues in case they needed it. Tallock swung his axe downwards towards the creature's stomach. The smell and flesh ripped off was sickening to say the least but the creature swung back at the chief with pure might.

Tallock dodged smoothly as he spun to the side in an evasive maneuver. Other two demon warriors left up to the beasts' head brandishing share clubs, axes and swords. In a matter of seconds the creature was finished. The old chief took in a sigh of relief for the moment as he hadn't fought a battle in a long while. He, nor the other beasts saw the axe that came flying through the air from the other side of the gate that was so sharp and quick it sliced the chief cleanly in half. None of the soldiers inside the gate had a chance to react; for a large number of similar beasts like the one before had come charging through the castle gates with battle axes and clubs. These creatures were less ugly than the first and were much more brutal and powerful when it came to battle.

We all do foolish things for the people and places we care about. The price we paid didn't seem fair at the time. The war between our world had just gotten started and the beginning casualties of this war had all gone down in seemingly unjust ways. All we could have done at that point was either to keep on fighting or to give up.

Chapter 4

Revilo Green

Revilo stood up, clutching his own ribs. A medic of any sorts or a specialist in healing spells would have been a great help to them all. Luckily for him his legs worked perfectly. He took Saksore in hand and put it away searching around. "I don't think we have time to stay." He spoke softly staring at Akira and then the Deity looking creature in the room.

He walked slowly wincing toward the two women, just in case they would need assistance. He then turned to Akira.
"I don't meant to take advantage of it's kindness...But do you think this thing could help us get out of here?"(OOC: Free reign if you want to let the Daos help us by healing or creating an escape, etc before she vanishes Tipsy.)

~~~
Reyu
Reyu opened her eyes slowly as she felt a warm beam upon her face. It seemed the sun was about to rise and she sat up and felt aching in her legs which days of fleeing had led to. She took a glance at Althea before lying down once more. Maybe resting was a good idea for now. She figured if they were being followed by soldiers they group definitely would have been caught by now.
So it was with a heavy sigh of relief that Reyu rested her head back down and closed her eyes as the relief of freedom was over for now.
OOC: God... an entire 3 weeks. Akira is one said person. She has basically been going from the assassination, back to the Bithian Village, to the tower, and rode all the way to demon village and then to here and just got her arse handed to her. Im pretty sure that qualifies for some r and r
Akira
I thank you for your assistance, but... what are you....? Why did you help us?
Akira was curious. The being was obviously beyond her, or anyone present, power. She dealt with the monster that all three of them was almost killed by with almost no effort. There must be some ulterior motivw behind her sudden appearance.
Why you ask...? Well, i was strolling around my plain and i happened to come by this interesting in my domain and i went "Hey, wonder what this is?". So i......
The Daos glanced sideways and noticed the overly serious face of the girl that had posed her the question. Nadesico eyes narrowed slightly and covered her lower face with her fan once more.
Let's just say that I am inextricably tied up with you, little girl. You and that eye.....
I don't think we have time to stay.I don't meant to take advantage of it's kindness...But do you think this thing could help us get out of here?
Her answer only provided more questions, confusing Akira more than before. However, Revilio was right. There was no time to hang around and talk or interrogate. Akira nodded in acknowledgement and made to turn towards the exit before her knees gave out on her. There was so much damage done to her body that it was close to impossible to escape without trouble. All three of them were incapacitated to some degree. Nadesico sighed and snapped her fan shut before floating over in between Revilio and Mary.
Well... here....
With a soft tap to their forehead with her fan, a glow emitted from their body before healing almost all wounds. It was like before they entered into the town. Nadesico glided over towards Akira and did the same, albeit a bit harder, drawing a sharp gasp from the Bithian.
Gah....
That was for your cheek.
Cheek?! What are you talking about? i did not even talk!
No, but i could read what you thought
. In any case, this should be enough to get you out of here... on your own power. I can't be spoon feeding you your entire life, so i will be departing for now.
Their wounds were indeed healed and Akira felt like she could take another shot at the monster. The woman gave her a cryptic smile before disappearing, her mouth being last, just like a cheshire cat.
Damnation... that left more questions than answers. Whatever, let us exit from this area. Someone is bound to ahve heard that ruckus we made.
Rune strolled about, a calm figure standing out amidst the sea of chaos. The city was panicked by the string of events that were transpiring, and more so with the intentional distraction that her subordinates were carrying out. Still, her goal was far from met.
With every passing second, her pulse seem to quicken. Not because the guards were starting to become more aware of a foreign presence that should not be present, but because her part of the deal may have been compromised. Who knows what the group had found after all?
Whatever it was, Rune hoped not to lose out on it.
So she walks, evading the panicked crowd that were streaming in the opposite direction. Progress was slow, but cannot be helped. Peering over the crowd, Rune sighed on seeing yet another squad of guards blocking her way. Snapping her fingers, she ignited a house nearby, and screamed," FIRE!"
The guards turned to see the flames and were promptly on to the burning house while Rune hurriedly made her way through. By now, she was completely clueless as to where she was, though she knew she was getting close to her destination.
Staring up at the castle, Rune half-smiled to herself as she continued on her way.
Mary slowly got herself to her feet and looked at her body after the...creature tapped her lightly on the head, all her wounds were healed, she was not feeling any pain at all. Looking at her, she seemed to be a creature of great beauty and grace, but all it did was raise a lot of questions.
In any case, this should be enough to get you out of here... on your own power. I can't be spoon feeding you your entire life, so i will be departing for now.
With that she disappeared, leaving Akira to comment, Damnation... that left more questions than answers. Whatever, let us exit from this area. Someone is bound to have heard that ruckus we made.
Mary nodded in agreement, although there was still so much to be done still, none of them were willing to take on the entire Thelmacain Army, it would be suicide, plain and simple.
"Right, let us leave as quickly as possible."
Revilo Green
Damnation... that left more questions than answers. Whatever, let us exit from this area. Someone is bound to ahve heard that ruckus we made.
Revilo let out a sigh as the pain in his ribs had left. It was almost as if his injuries had left completely.
"Right, let us leave as quickly as possible."
The man couldn't complain with either of them. He stood tall and with a blink of his eye took a quick survey of the mess they had made. He grabbed the Saksore firmly and gripped it. "I guess we head back to Idunblim for now." He spoke.
The three of them had been through more than enough in the past few days but as numb as his body was the will to revive Sophia was all that drove him to keep moving forward. A sound of gunfire echoed very far in the distance. Revilo turned his eyes to the door. He didn't say it but the thought of Rune actually helping him just this once would mean that they would have a chance to escape.
Revilo strode to the door fast. "Rune..." he mumbled. "I think our cue to leave is right on time."
With that he motioned for Akira and Mary to follow. He knew that if anything worse were to happen at this moment he would have to let the girls go on. Luckily it seemed that the steps from the lower level were empty. The castle halls seemed to echo and tiny smears of blood could be seen on the walls and floor. yet the castle seemed quiet. The only sound came from the large open doors of Earoke.
From what Revilo could see the town below the castle was in full panic mode. But in the midst of all of the chaos he spotted one woman slowly making her way closer. Rune had come for them like she said, but it still did not extinguish his anger for her and her meaningless violence.
---------------------------------------------------
Kethos
The southern continent was something odd. For one it seemed a bit colder in climate and also it was unusually filled with soldiers of the Thelmacain empire. These soldiers however seemed completely different. They were dressed in armor that looked more like natural clothing. It was odd how the white helmets covered their heads also. They also held weapons like his rifle, only theirs looked much more polished and seemed to give off a blue/green glow at the ends.
Whatever it was about these men Kethos did not feel comfortable. He knew that King Thelma would be searching for his him dead or alive. His sister Alissa seemed to pay the strange soldiers no mind. She had plans of her own, but Kethos knew nothing of them. All he knew was that the Empire of which he put so much trust and belief in were now his enemy. Finally he could see Remus and Reyu over a field. He approached from behind along with Alissa beside him. "Remus, Reyu."
As expected Reyu turned ready to attack with her nunchaku waiting to blind him. He barely escaped with a swift dodge. However Alissa just watched in a dreamlike trance. "We should hurry." she spoke softly. "The king might beat us to it."
Before he could answer "To what?" Kethos could see Reyu's facial expression. This girl had the look of someone who had emotionally changed. He could also see that Remus and Althea also looked like they had come a long way. "We're here in peace." Kethos spoke putting both hands in the air as if to surrender. "I refused the order to kill you."
"What?" Reyu spoke in disbelief knowing the great trouble this would cause the empire.
"But in spite of that there is something else we must do and quickly."
The castle was dark and gloomy with the scent of blood and sweat lingering in the air. No one was alive, nor could anyone be. The cold-blooded figure stalks her prey with no hesitation. With one strike of magic, that person was down.
Rune ambled on into the castle compound. Unlike the castle from her memory, this one was filled with medics tending to the wounded. Looking up at the many buildings that the castle comprised, she noticed a familiar pair of eyes glaring down at her.
"Why, hello there..."
She chuckles to herself as she smiled and waved to her partner-in-crime. His anger and hatred were evident but it made her more amused than distressed. Nevertheless, whether there is hatred or not matters little in the face of current events. A powerful artifact that was promised to be shared with her awaits.
Rune ignores the cacophony of the medics and their patients around her as she silently enters the building Revilo was in.
Akira
"Right, let us leave as quickly as possible."
Indeed. Even though the being had taken away my injuries, im afraid fatigue is catching up on me...
"I guess we head back to Idunblim for now."
As they advanced through the dark corridors once more, the noise of gunfire ricochet off the stone walls. That meant that the fort city itself was under attack and considering the health of the Bithian faction right now, it could only be Rune and her band. It was a s good a time as any to flee now while using Rune's attack as a distraction. Going through the thankfully empty corridors and before long, the trio had emerged from the depths of the castle into the open. The town below was in an uproar and Akira's heart sank when she saw what Revilio was staring at. Rune, and she was heading towards them.
Revilo. What now? Rune is approaching and the town is in full chaos. Do we flee or stay to see what she has to say?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Remus

Remus was busy tending to Althea when he made the mistake of not setting someone to watch. From behind, he heard his ex superior's voice call out to them. For all he knew, he could have an entire band of soldiers, ready to pounce on them again. And this time, Remus was not sure if he could escape with Reyu, particularly since in all directions, it was open field.

"Remus, Reyu."

Just as Reyu had lashed out instantly with her nunchucks, Adelaide came swinging out with retentive ease and pointed straight at Kethos. There was a woman behind Kethos and no soliders, but Kethos didn't get to his position by being stupid. The man was not stupid. However, the woman did seem oddly familiar. He was sure he has never seen her before, but Remus was sure he knew her somehow.

We're here in peace. I refused the order to kill you."

I apologise if i may seem rude, but trust lost through betrayal is hard to earn back....

"What?"

Reyu on the other hand, was more receptive than he was. Remus could not blame her. She had, just a few days ago, idolised Kethos. Remus was a bit more immune to that. He had never had the grace of many of the nobles in the Capital.

"But in spite of that there is something else we must do and quickly."

And i assume you will just believe us to drop our arms and follow you blindly? Why should we trust you?

Taking a few more steps forward so he was closer to Reyu, Remus kept his blade pointed at Kethos. Just in case the girl breaks down again, he can grab her and throw her onto Althea.

Revilo. What now? Rune is approaching and the town is in full chaos. Do we flee or stay to see what she has to say?

Mary herself wondered what Rune could want at this time. Her facial expression was that of annoyance and of forlorn worry. She had already suffered enough stress over what happened today, she did not need the additional trouble of a murderous wench getting in the way of her intentions. The fact that she was heading towards her made her look away with her arms folded and her eyes closed. Whatever Revilo's intent was, she would follow no matter the case. But Mary did not want to have any part of it.
