[RP] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra

OOC: Okay, private time over, let us move back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Annelise Steiner

Anne had to lean a bit far, but she eventually made her mark, her lips locking with Ricard's. She felt like it was the right thing, and as she opened her eyes, she saw the surprise of her friends face, which in turn caused her to feel her heart sink with embarrassment. Her face red, she stammered, "Uh...ah...I'm...going to bed." She quickly got off of Ricard's bed and briskly walked back to her room.

Back in her room, she looked to see both Lucia and Twinsword asleep on the bed, the former embracing the latter's chest for some odd, yet Lucia-like reason. Shutting the door behind her, she moved to find a soft place to rest, settling for a small recliner-like chair. Sitting down on the chair, she leaned back and closed her eyes, embarrassed...yet a bit happy "I...I kissed Ricard...and...I kind of like it."

----
The Brandish

The rowboat moved past several cliffs, during the early hours of the morning. It was still dark, yet she would be able to...at least as her other persona, be able to pass through the guards that were guarding Lindblum Harbor, whilst still keeping the rocks a viable optional route up.

The boat rested on the dock and the Lord-General exited from the boat, catching the eye of the two Lindblum guards.

"Halt, identify yourself!!" One of the guards spoke.

The cloaked woman showed the guards her badge as an Alexandrian officer, "My name is Gisale Wettin, General of the Royal Alexandrian Army. I have come upon request by a Lindblumite noble by the name of Sir Reginald. I'm also considering participating in the Festival of the Hunt as well." After saying this, she showed the guards the letter made by the noble. There was a Sir Reginald, but in reality, he was but a facade, as the real Reginald died a few days ago under the watchful eye of various agents and rakes within the city itself. The real Reginald was buried while a fake version of the man was walking around, getting to know of Lindblum's military and society.

"Okay, everything checks out. Welcome to Lindblum, Lady Gisale."
The guards stepped aside, allowing the Brandish to enter the Grand Castle. There she would lay low until the time of the operation, but hopefully she would see the enemy spy again. "Heh, didn't even get the kids name." Gisale thought to herself.

Annelise Steiner & The Twinsword
March 17, 1817-The Next Day

Annelise slowly opened her eyes to the bright and beautiful day out. It was not often that the city had a break in the rain, but it was comfortable enough to look out and see everything in order.

While her two roommates were still asleep, Anne took off her nightgown and replaced it with her armor, her brigadine, chainmail and cuirass, as well as various other armor pieces for her arms and legs. Picking up her sword, she slowly started to walk out the door as the ex-Lord General stirred. As Twinsword opened her eyes, and looked in horror as she saw her chest being fondled, she looked behind to see Lucia being the culprit. "GET OFF OF ME, WOMAN!!!" Twinsword moved to pull Lucia's hands off and push the Genome off the bed, to the amusement of the Alexandrian Knight.

Feeling their lips connect Ricard felt, once more confused. All the discipline and training he had recieved over the years left him little experience in feelings, much less so in women. Yet something felt different as Annelise kissed him, before he could question this Annelise promptly left the room, leaving Ricard at quite a loss. Deciding against pursuing her at this time he decided to go to sleep.

-----------------------------------------------

Having a fairly snug sleep for the first time in a while, Lucia was awoke to the furious voice of Twin Sword, mentally laughing she made her grip slightly tighter, squeezing moreso on her chest before whispering in her ear "Now that's not very cute is it? Not that I don't like your wild side" Lucia then, completely against Twin Sword's will moved her hands to Twin Sword's stomach and lifted her up as Lucia stood up. She then wrapped up Twin Sword in her hooded robe "Don't want anyone seeing the bed hair ruin your pretty face now, do we?" at that she released Twin Sword as she left the room and stretched her arms.

Spotting Annelise Lucia grabbed her arm and took her out of earshot of the others and whispered "So, how did it go?"

---------------------------------------

Waking up, Ricard felt rather refreshed for the first time in a while, putting off last night as a crazy dream he had he got dressed and picked up his Katana. Once he was satisfied with his appearance he left the room, spotting Annelise he tried to push the thoughts of last night from his mind, muttering a small "Hello" before walking outside to get some air.

Lan Ester

The sunlight shined brightly on Lan's face as he woke up. Yawning while getting out of bed, his escort guard walked up to him from the stairs.

"What's up?" Lan asked.

"Regent Cid and Princess Ekio are waiting for you." the guard said.

"About time. Let's go." Lan muttered as his escort guard led the genome back to the elevator. A few minutes later, Lan finds himself infront of a large door with two guards waiting out in front of it.

"I will announce your presence." the escort guard muttered as he entered the throne room.

------------
Remilia Oveilia.

It was a nice morning as Remilia woke up and for the first time in a long while, she felt refreshed.

"That was a great sleep. I wonder how the others are?" Remilia wondered as she grabbed her staff and the napsack with the green robe and old Cats Claw. Exiting the Inn, Remilia walked back to see Ricard standing outside. The summoner smiled as she walked over to Ricard.

"Morning there. Did Anne and the strange woman keep you busy?" Remilia called out with a friendly wave.

Trying to gather his thoughts on what happened last night Ricard heard the footsteps of someone approaching, looking up he recognised her as the woman from yesterday, though he only caught a glimpse of her through all the combat he had a clearer image in this more peaceful time.

"Morning there. Did Anne and the strange woman keep you busy?"

Ricard scratched the back of his head before he made a reply "Well, you could say that..." approaching the woman he then offered his hand to shake "you must be... Remilia I think?"

Aaron Sohm
Burmecia-The Cresent's Home

Aaron slept quietly and soundly through the night it has been the first time he's gotten a full night's sleep in day's,before he knows it,it becomes morning he still sleeps but his ears Twitch as he hears the front door close which wake's him up,he sits up and yawns.

Aaron:....That was a good sleep felt like I haven't rested in forever...

Aaron unties the blindfold and look's around the brightened room, seeing only the sunlight hit the room at first,he sits up and stretches out, slightly blinded he see's no one in the room and changes back into his dried clothing.

Aaron:Wonder how everyone else slept..

He walk's over to the couch again and sits down with and yawn's once more waiting on someone to wake up and talk to.

Remilia Oveilia

"you must be... Remilia I think?"

"Yup. Remilia Oveilia. Ex Oeilvert Solider and summoner to boot." Remilia said with a smile as she shook Ricard's hand. Looking at the guy, Remilia laughed.

"You really aren't a morning person are you? In any case, is anyone up? I wanna show them this green robe I found." Remilia said as she dropped the knapsack and pulled out Lan's green robe just so Ricard can see it.

"Well I only saw Annelise and Lucia awake when I left so you have those two at least" Remilia did have a point in her morning person comment, for some reason Ricard felt drained despite his good sleep, he'd have to confirm this as an ailment when they reach Lindblum.

"Anyway i'll see you around, I have... Something to do"
this of course being a lie to get some time to think, Ricard walked past her and went for a walk around the town, already repairs were underway, such resilience was enviable.

Robert Crescent
Freya Crescent
Sir Fratley

Robert woke up to the sound of Twinswords yelling in the room below him. "Could you keep it down please?!" Robert shouted at his floor before he got himself onto his feet. This was going to be a long, very long, journey with all of the drama going on around. Still, once could simply say there wasn't going to be a dull moment. That much was sure.

After getting dressed, Robert exited his room. Freya and Fratley also came out of their room, and both looked rather hurriedly dressed. Freya fixed up her outfit while Fratley put on his hat. "Well, good morning everyone. Ready to go get some breakfast?" Freya asked as she looked at those who were up and out of their respective rooms.

"I'll go ahead to the tavern so I can get Farah to reserve our tables and the food." Fratley spoke before he headed out into the very light misting rain. Once Fratley arrived at the tavern, he'd pay the owner to open up early and prepare several plates of scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and coffee for the full group.

"Well, with any luck that airship might be up and running. If it is, you can all take it to Lindblum. If not, I'm sure I can let you guys borrow some of our chocobo mounts." Freya spoke to the group.

Popo's Heights: Mutatsu's Shack

A warm, dim light illuminated the small table where Mutatsu was busy at work. The smear of elegantly brushed katakana characters filled the parchment, rhythmically followed by sounds of the dip and subsequent dripping of ink. Ever so often a fierce battle-cry pierced the veil of silence around the area, followed by a gust of wind quickly doused, yet growing stronger.

“He learns at a remarkable rate. Rarely has there been a practitioner so naturally adept at their craft. The clan back home would have loved to accept him into the village.”

A heavy sigh left his lips, filling the room with a longing regret. Gently wrapping up the parchment into a small scroll, he places it in a pile with a few other finished ones.

Mutatsu removed his vest to reveal a battle-scarred body. His chest was riddled with slashes and foreign marks, the proud insignias of victory in battle. But now, all they brought him were memories of something he wish was gone long ago.

Sliding a tatami door open to a vacant room, Mutatsu laid down and closed his eyes. Silently he waited for sleep and soon enough; he found his consciousness drifting in and out of reality.

???

“It's been a while. I've kept your promise.”

“I'm glad. I see much of the boy in you. Just as eager to prove himself as someone was his age.”

“Hmph, don't patronize me.”

“Serious as always. You never did fit in very much with the rest of them. Such an uncanny devotion to power.”

“It was the only thing I was good at. Still is.”

“Nonsense. You were always kind to a fault, and much too hard on yourself. Those who stand stronger than the rest always have all the reason in the world to breakdown, but you did not. Whether you acknowledge it or not, the people did look up to you. Right to the very end.”

“I'll believe it when I see it.”

“You're impossible.”

“As are you.”

The two shared a warm laugh into the echoing abyss.

“Teach him well. He'll go on to do big things.”

“I shall not fail you, nor the clan.”

“Then this is goodbye. I have reason no longer to disturb your sleep.”

“On the contrary, you've kept the nightmares away. But I will persevere.”

Popo's Heights: Mutatsu's Shack

As the sun crept up from the far reaches of the mountains, the plains had begun to fill with life. Feeling a firm shake, Noah bolted up from the floor, wearing nothing but a white hakama. Rustling his hair with his left hand, he let out a mighty yawn and stretched out, only to be greeted by the tanned chest of his instructor.

"What the!?"

“Show me what you've learned. We've got work to do if we're to be on time for the Festival of the Hunt.”

"Do me a favor and get some clothes on first!"

Alleria woke up fairly earlier than the others, suffering the full effects of sleeping in such a haphazard manner on the cold, hard floor. She was aching all over as she struggled to get up. In fact, she was aching so much she had to sit on the bed to massage her legs before she could finally stand up. It was then she realized she had stumbled into someone's bedroom, and she never got to knew if there was anyone using it.

What is done is done, though, so Alleria headed out of the house with her weapon. It was raining as usual, though it had died down to a drizzle as opposed to the heavier rain from yesterday. Making her way to the back of the house, where it is quieter, she drew her sword and began to take practice swings with it.

As she swung her blade, she took the opportunity to run through the events of the previous day, and the events that may happen in the near future. From what she understood, their next destination was Lindblum. Perhaps, after the trip there, she would be able to part ways - or not. She would need an airship, and to get that, she would need Ipsen to send one to retrieve her.

On that line of thought, she started to fear Ipsen may never actually send her back. Clang!

Alleria startled herself with her blade hitting the walls of the house. Quickly sheathing her blade, she abruptly stopped her practice as she re-entered the house, passing Remilia silently. She was just in time to see Fratley leave, and Freya address the group,"Well, with any luck that airship might be up and running. If it is, you can all take it to Lindblum. If not, I'm sure I can let you guys borrow some of our chocobo mounts."

She had to struggle to hold back an exasperated sigh. Suddenly, the notion of her being a teacher of the arts of swordsmanship was not such a bad idea. Standing beside the door silently, she decided she would wait for the group before following them to wherever they would lead her. Her expression was sullen, but indistinguishable from fatigue.

Aaron Sohm
Burmecia-Cresent's Home

"Well, good morning everyone. Ready to go get some breakfast?"

Aaron:I'm up for it Lady Freya,I'd kill for a decent meal,When can we go!?

Aaron show's his hunger with some slight drool,as it has been a day or so since he's had a good meal aside from some jerky.

"Well, with any luck that airship might be up and running. If it is, you can all take it to Lindblum. If not, I'm sure I can let you guys borrow some of our chocobo mounts."

Aaron:Well I do hope we can ride in a Airship,I'm not quite used to Chocobo mount's yet,I'm always afraid that they'll turn on me and bite.

Remember's when he first rode on one with Gafgarion,as he dismounted his bird the bird turned on him and bit his ear's chasing him for hour's before Gafgarion stopped laughing long enough to stop the Chocobo.

He show's his fear and nervousness as he rub's his Cat like Ear's.

((OOC:Short post x.x; ))

OOC: Still feeling depressed, but a bit better for me to force out a post.

IC:

Annelise Steiner

"So, how did it go?"

"Well..." Anne started to say, her face a bit red. "...it was...awkward, but..."

"Hello"

The sound of Ricard's greeting scared Anne stiff, her face turning red with embarrassment, as he walked off, Anne said to Lucia, "Uh...I think...we kind of...kissed. Do you think I might have come on a bit too strong?"

Whether or not Lucia responded, she heard Freya and Fratley speak.

"Well, good morning everyone. Ready to go get some breakfast?"

Anne nodded in response to Freya's question. She indeed worked up an appetite and never did get much to eat yesterday, if at all.

"I'll go ahead to the tavern so I can get Farah to reserve our tables and the food."

"Well, with any luck that airship might be up and running. If it is, you can all take it to Lindblum. If not, I'm sure I can let you guys borrow some of our chocobo mounts."

Watching Sir Fratley leave, the Alexandrian Knight turned towards Freya. "Well hopefully we won't get shot down by any more summoners. I don't think I feel for falling off again."

----
Regent Cid IX of Lindblum

"Lord Regent, Lady Hilda, Princess Eiko!"
The guard saluted as the three of them were enjoying their breakfast.

The Regent turned towards the guard, Seventeen years have passed and yet the years were kind to him. His hair and mustache was completely grey, yet his face remained unchanged from the years of rule. "Yes, what is it?"

"A Sir Lan Ester wishes to make an audience with you, your highness."

"I understand. Bring him in, there is still plenty of breakfast to go around."
The Queen said.

"Uh...I think...we kind of...kissed. Do you think I might have come on a bit too strong?"

"If you really want to know, why not ask him?" Lucia gave her a playful nudge in the arm before sitting down on the couch. "I'm sure you can find a way to get him alone"

-------------------------------------

Walking through the town some more, Ricard saw a flash of Lucia's robe rounding a corner, deciding to follow after her he managed to catch up in an alleyway, she looked somewhat shorter than usual, putting that aside he addressed her. "What are you doing now?"

As the figure turned around, he found the face recognisable, it was only when she leapt into his arms that he knew who it was "Twin Sword? What are you doing here?"

Robert Crescent
Freya Crescent
Sir Fratley

Freya gave a nod to Annelise's concern. "Yes, well we will send some Black Mages and a cleric with you all to protect against an Eidolon attack. It'd be nice to send them on a bit of a vacation from here anyways." Freya responded before she headed out to the tavern.

Fratley would be waiting at the table as Farah, Robert's sister, would be placing the empty plates on the table. Along the center of the table would be the larger plates with all of the food laid upon each plate, so that everyone could grab from those plates to fill up their own. Pitchers of Orange Juice and cow's milk would be set up with them along with wooden mugs.

Robert took a seat next to his father and mother while Farah took a seat across from them. However, one other person was going to join the breakfast meal that was not expected. Queen Lilly walked in and took a seat next to her older sister and smiled to the group. "I hope you don't mind. I saw everyone coming in here while I was going out for a stroll." Lilly spoke with a smile.

Robert smiled to his sister and shook his head. "Not at all sis. It might be a while before we all see each other again." Robert said with a smile. Once everyone else had arrived at the tavern, the Crescent family would start filling up their plates and mugs.

Remilia Oveilia

Remilia put the robe away as she saw Alleria walk into the house. Following after Alleria, Remilia saw Freya talking to everyone at the time.

"Well, with any luck that airship might be up and running. If it is, you can all take it to Lindblum. If not, I'm sure I can let you guys borrow some of our chocobo mounts."

With that on her mind, Remilia left the house and followed Robert down to the pub where she saw him with the remainder of his family. Taking a seat, the summoner looked around the pub while waiting for the rest of the group to come into the pub.

----------------
Lan Ester

Lan stood around the hallway near the throne room, examining the structure while hanging from his tail. Down below, several guards called up to him telling him to get down before something broke. It was that scene that his escort guard came out to.

"Sir Lan Ester. The Regent, Queen Hilda, and Princess Eiko are waiting for you now." the escort guard muttered.

"Ok." Lan muttered as he dropped and landed on the ground beside the escort guard. Opening the doors, Lan entered the throne room to see a table set with food. At the head of the table sat a grey haired man. To his right, an adult lady that looked like she was in her fifties while on his left, sat a younger lady in her thirties.

"I take it you must be Regent Cid, the queen and Princess Eiko." Lan muttered as he bowed.

Straightening up Lan looked at Cid.

"I have two things I want to say. One. An infiltration team from Oeilvert is currently coming to Lindblum. I suggest you increase guards to your key locations as well as around the Mirrors. Two. I want to sign up for the Festival of the Hunt and I was wondering if the Royal Family can spare some money for me to prepare." Lan muttered while ignoring the food at the table, despite his growing hunger.

Cid IX of Lindblum

"I take it you must be Regent Cid, the queen and Princess Eiko."

"That we may, what is it that you make request?" The Regent spoke to the individual. His hand was on his chin, looking at his attire then, back to his face.

"I have two things I want to say. One. An infiltration team from Oeilvert is currently coming to Lindblum. I suggest you increase guards to your key locations as well as around the Mirrors. Two. I want to sign up for the Festival of the Hunt and I was wondering if the Royal Family can spare some money for me to prepare."

Hilda put her utensils down and looked at the child when she heard the word 'mirror.' "Lad, how do you know about the mirrors?"

----
Annelise Steiner

"If you really want to know, why not ask him? I'm sure you can find a way to get him alone"

"Yes...maybe I could." Annelise Steiner said before she followed Robert to the inn where his sister, Farah owned and worked in. She took a seat next to Lady Freya as she looked at all the food that was on the table. She decided on waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, restraining herself as much as she could before they all arrived.

----
The Twinsword

"Twin Sword? What are you doing here?"

"To walk you over to breakfast, silly!" Twinsword said before grabbing Ricard's hand. and walking with him over to follow the group as well, much to the anxiety of Anne. She too followed Robert to the inn and took a seat opposite of Anne, next to the Burmecian Queen. This proved to be a nerve-ending idea as she didn't know what she would think of having a defected enemy general sitting beside her.

OOC: Short post due to lack of time... :sad3:

Lan Ester

"Lad, how do you know about the mirrors?"

"That's because I am the person who rescued Samuel from Clerya. He mentioned Mirrors during the escape. I then questioned Freya and she told me about the secondary abilities of the Mirrors. It was while I went undercover in Oeilvert's army that I heard about the plan and rushed over to let you know. Not only that but I am a spy for Burmeica undercover in the Oeilvert Army and one of the participating member of the infilitration. I am can to make sure that Oeilvert's lord and generals die." Lan muttered as he looked at the queen.

------------------------

Remilia Oveilia

Remilia saw Anne enter the pub and smiled a bit. She got up and pulled out Lan's green robe and walked over to Anne.

"Hey Anne. You recognize this robe? I found this in the inn I was sleeping at along with a bag of stuff." Remilia muttered as she held up the green robe so Anne can get a good look at it.

Alleria followed Annelise to the tavern, taking a seat beside latter. She was immediately deep in thought as Remilia came in to speak to Annelise. Her feeling were rather messed up at this point in time, and thinking about it only aggravated this inner chaos. Sighing softly, she looked up to see the Crescent family around the table, then to the others - leading her to realize that not everyone was here yet.

In any case, what they would do after the food was what encouraged her to stay cool and composed. Surely they would be on an airship ride away from this land of perpetual rain. Although it was a somewhat pretty sight in the beginning, Alleria was already sick of it.

She decided not to wait for the rest as she reached out to scoop some meat onto her plate.

"To walk you over to breakfast, silly!"

Before Ricard could protest he found himself getting dragged to the pub, not a type of place he often ventured to. Twi nSword then sat down and forced Ricard to sit next to her, still not releasing her grip on his hand, seeing Annelise opposite him he somewhat shyly turned his head away while trying to shake his hand free from Twin Sword's in vain.

"Twin Sword, I am going to have to eat at some point you know"

"That's fine, i'll just feed you" before Ricard could protest, Twin Sword landed a kiss on his cheek, predicting Annelise's reaction to be a negative one he turned away, still trying to free his hand.

-------------------------------------------

As everyone left to go to the pub, Lucia jogged after them with an apparent spring in her step, being a sailor the pub was something of her favourite place to be. As she entered she found Annelise sandwiched between Freya and Alleria, choosing between them Lucia decided to sit next to Alleria.

Half for fun and half hoping to get her spot next to Annelise Lucia placed both of her hands on Alleria's shoulder "Hey good looking, how're you this fine day?" edging her head ever so closer as her tail began to lift itself up, somewhat cat-like.

Cid IX of Lindblum

"Alright, we'll follow your advice and defend the castle like a fortress. We will also provide some funds for you to participate in the Festival of the Hunt."

"Hey!" Eiko spoke up, the first time since eating some oatmeal. "Aren't you gonna stay for dinner?"

----

Annelise Steiner

"Hey Anne. You recognize this robe? I found this in the inn I was sleeping at along with a bag of stuff."

Anne looked at the familiar green robe before giving Remilla an answer, "That belongs to Lan. I would suggest you bring that with you so when we see him again, we can give it to him." Anne then turned around, and with everyone seated, she began piling some food on her plate before looking at Twinsword and Ricard flirting...well more Twinsword than Ricard. Seeing the two together made the Alexandrian Knight both embarrassed and angry at her. Just seeing the ex-Oeilvert General act like that in front of her just made her blood boil.

Anne sighed before whispering to herself, "Relax, relax...no need to make a scene."
