[SU/D] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra (Remake)

@Shace The Great: Your Bio is accepted, Looking to see what Mr. 1000 learns through his travels.

Anyway, here's the last of the three player characters I will be using. The RP will begin Thursday, March 28.
----
Name:
Gisale Augusta Wettin-Gesalios (aka the Brandish)

Age:
30

Date of Birth:
1 October 1786

Race:
Genome

Gender:
Female

Appearance:
images

Gisale is a tall and imposing figure, standing in at 6 feet tall. She has long platinum blonde hair extending down to her waist. Her eyes are silvery grey in color, giving her a title amongst some circles as "The Silver-Eyed Witch." Like many of her race, she has a prehensile monkey's tail, with platinum blonde fur. Gisale has a pale complexion, but not too the point of it being completely white.

Her attire consists of a lightweight, almost skintight white suit underneath some light armor on her legs in the form of greaves, and on her arms in the form of gauntlets. She wears a billowing white cape with the emblem of the Blue Winged Knights, a company that she herself leads. Later during the RP, her white cape will be replaced with a black poncho-type cloak with a hood, to better hide her face from those that she wishes not to be found out.

Personality:
Gisale is a calm and collected knight, and one who is usually insightful about peoples faults and does her best to correct them. Her calmness in a serious situation is matched with her almost tranquil fury in battle. She is honorable and well-intentioned, despite an aura of sadness that prevails over her, and almost never smiles at any situation, thus giving her another moniker, "The Maiden of the Faint Smile." In a sense, she almost seems like she seeks to die in battle, though her intentions are unknown.

Class:
Knight

Abilities:
Erde Arm: Attacks with powerful physical strikes with both her sword and her hands and legs.

Erde Arm:
-Bardiche: Swings her sword downward on the opponent with the flat end of the sword.
-Climhazzard: Strikes her opponent with an explosive slash, followed by a kick to the face.
-Dragon's Wrath: A Defensive feint move, Gisale swings her blade with such force that it could destroy or damage low-grade blades.
-Cross-Slash: Gisale strikes her opponent with three powerful swings followed by an elbow to the face.
-Octa-Slash: Gisale swings her blade seven times before launching a final upwards slash.

Trance:
In Trance mode, Gisale's clothes become tattered and her hair and irises turns red. In this form, Gisale's strength is doubled.

Weapon:
Gisale's weapon is a Greatsword known as "Antares." Named after the star in the southern sky, Antares is a great sword 5 feet long and nearly a foot wide and is ordained with an emblem of a Scorpion on both sides of the hilt. Due to its immense size, it is a weapon only Gisale can manage to wield. Her ability to use it effectively for heavy blows, yet able to use it as if it was somewhat of a light weapon is a feat no other individual in Gaia knows of.

History:
Gisale was one of two twin Genomes created by Garland in Terra. Because she and her twin were created without souls, they lacked any sort of emotion and feeling, the only thing on their mind being the restoration of Terra by assimilating Gaia. That all changed when Kuja arrived and destroyed Terra, forcing Gisale, among many others of her kind, to flee to the Black Mage Village.

Her life spent in Gaia was filled with learning and finding a new purpose in life, a fact that would be defined with the Terran Spring and the incorporation of emotions and feeling as a result of an (to this day) unknown and unexpected phenomenon. Gisale would spent the next 3 years living and continuing to learn from within the safe confines of the Black Mage Village before she left with her twin brother Alphonse to the Outer Continent. It would be there that the Genomes would settle in Ipsen's Castle, with Alphonse, their leader, becoming the King of the nascent new nation.

During her travels, she met a young and rambunctious adventuerer named Cyril Gesalios. The two became fast friends as they trekked across Continents and braved seas on the road to Ipsen. Soon their friendship blossomed into romance and the two were married on September 3, 1803, choosing to abandon her newly established royal lineage to live with her new husband. Together they set off to find their own adventures, traveling around the world and exploring Gaia as they saw fit. A year later, on May 18, 1804. Gisale gave birth to their son, Émile.

The Gesalios family, after years of travel, finally decided to settle down in the newly established Kingdom of Oeilvert. Their time of peace and tranquility however came to an end with the Oeilvert Civil War, which began three years later. Her family, fearing for their safety, chose to side with one of Cyril's close friends and a claimant for the vacant Oeilvertian Imperial throne, Louis de Gaul.

However the claimant was sickly, and near death despite his successes. Because he had no heir, Louis feared that his men would lose direction and be slaughtered by his rivals. As a result, he chose Cyril to become the heir to the throne, thus putting Gisale once again at the seat of royal prerogative once more.

Gisale took a semi-active role in the Civil War. Not only leading troops to battle, but also spending time with her son Émile, to try and shelter him from the war. So far, it seemed to work, and as Cyril was already close to becoming King, Gisale would be by his side, helping to set up government and create Oeilvert to ensure a lasting peace.

It was on one fateful day, on December 11, 1813, a group of assailants barged into the Imperial palace of Oeilvert, with the intent to assassinate Cyril and his family, and thus continue the civil war. The fighting was fierce and there were many casualties, but in the end, it was Cyril and Gisale who managed to overpower and defeat his assailants. It would come at a terrible price however, as in the confused fighting, Émile got caught in the crossfire and was found dead, to the grief of both parents. The day heralded the descent of Cyril into madness, and was evident over the following weeks and into the sixth year of the civil war when he began ordering his soldiers to actively kill civilians and soldiers alike, initiating dangerous experiments on others and doing what he could to bring his son back.

Gisale, distraught at what Cyril was starting to become decided to confront him, in an attempt to bring some reason back into him. What came as a result was a brutal battle between husband and wife all across the castle. The two warriors were evenly matched, despite every cut, bruise or magical damage inflicted on each other. Finally, after an excrutiating 45 minutes of battle, Cyril managed to barely come out on top, using a powerful spell to send Gisale crashing through a window and right to the outskirts of the palace, thus terminating their marriage and, as Cyril believed, her life.

But Gisale survived the encounter, barely clinging to life. She managed to flee Oeilvert, heading northward to her brother's homeland of Ipsen. Braving the elements and the creatures, she would trek for three days before she would arrive at the gates of Ipsen's castle, only to collapse there. Fortunately, many of the people, as well as the arrival of King Alphonse von Wettin, saw her arrival and helped to nurse her body back to health, an arduous process that took her many weeks.

It was as she was being healed that she would meet with General Beatrix Steiner, serving as liaison for Ipsen from Alexandria. Because Beatrix would be retiring soon, she needed someone to lead the Blue Winged Knights, a soldier group she herself created, and also to help train her young daughter Annelise in the ways of the warrior. Gisale accepted the offer, and Beatrix would take Gisale with her to Alexandria, where she was promptly introduced to Queen Garnet XVII and King-consort Zidane. Gaining their support and the friendship of many in Alexandria's court and Parliament, she was appointed as Commanding Officer of the Blue Winged Knights.

Now she stands at the forefront, the crossroads of destiny. Would she be able to turn her blade once more against the man she once loved?

Fate was born shortly before the "Mist Continent War" His farther was a great Dragoon, but his father would tell him stories of the famous Fratley. Fate decided he would want to be a great hero like Fratley. When the "Mist Continent War" began, his father was killed while protecting Cleyra and his mother was able to escape with Fate to Lindblum. While there his mother was killed by the Alexandria army. He became one of many orphans from Burmecia or Cleyra.

One day many of the adults from Burmecia or Cleyra gathered all the orphan kids together and brought them back to the city of Burmecia. Here Fate helped rebuild the country, and also at the same time began to train as a Dragoon. Fate was able to become a great Dragoon, and was also able to be promoted to a captain of the city guards. Fate also learned to master riding a chocobo, and introduced them to as part of the Burmecia army.

Fate always feared that his strength would never be enough to protect Burmecia if another threat was to come. He would start to train every second he could, trying to get stronger, when he wasn't protecting on the city, or summoned to other places by the king. This led to him wondering if he would ever be strong enough to protect the city if the time ever came, but he refused to ever leave the city on a journey, for fear that if he left that the city would be attacked, so he would train himself outside the city and make sure no monsters would ever come close to the city.

Name: Mathais Bartlet

Age: 42

Race: Summoner

Gender: Male

Appearance: (See attached)

Personality: Cold, calculating and loveless. Not having lived in this new world long, Mathais can be slightly tactless but not deliberately. Not willing to fall to the 'dark side' nor wanting to be the heroic paladin that saves everyone, Mathais looks out for himself, seeing his own well being above that of everyone else’s. But when the time comes to protect himself, Mathais will fight to the last breath, never giving in or up. But Mathais has deep passion for books, especially those from the Outer Continent.

Class: Summoner

Abilities:
Summon:
Scinfaxi - Lord of the Sea (Learnt from the Blaze gem)
Arkbird - Lord of the Sky (Learnt from the Cipher gem)
Excalibur - Sword of the Land (Learnt from the Pixy gem)
Solg - The Star of War (Learnt from the Talisman gem)
Razgriz - Lord of Darkness (Learnt from the Wardog gem)
Razgriz Returns - Lord of Light (Learnt from the Razgriz gem)
Megalith - Guardian of Gaia (Learnt from the Mobius gem)
Sky Fortress - The Dark Construct (Learnt from the Gryphus gem)

Black Magic: All the standard spells (Fira, Bilzzara, Thundaga) but instead of Metor Mathais has Ulysses- similar but does more damage to one enemy than to all enemies. Mathais can also learn Ultimia at the very end (the VERY end) of his skill set.

Trance: World Without Boundaries - Unleashing an unbelievable amount of power, decimating enemies in the area. As Mathais gets stronger, so does the attack.

Weapon: Mathais uses a set of staffs for summoners. They are usually long staffs (about 10') but some can be as short as 5' (Diamond Rod). In order of power: Mage Staff, Fullmetal Staff, Mythril Staff, Golden Staff, Rune Staff, Diamond Rod, Nirvana, Princess Guard, Sage Staff, High Mage Staff, Hresveglr

Bio: Mathais was an orphan, his parents died when he was young and no-body in the was willing to look after the young boy. But he befriended a young girl, around his age, whose name was Jane. Jane was too an orphan, looking out for herself. Upon the two children meeting, they mis-trusted each other, not seeing any reason to befriend each other. But they eventually came to rely on each other, sharing food and water when they could. It was not until their teen years that their lives took on any change.

Mathais, as a teenager, became an exceptional summoner. When he was 12 he found a small gem stone tucked away in the corner of an alley way. Upon this discovery, Jane insisted that he sell it, giving them more than enough money to live for a month. But Mathais could not, the gem seemed to speak to him, call to him, as if there was a being inside. Mathais kept the gem close by him at all times, not wanting it to leave him.

It was shortly afterwards that Mathais found the true value of the jem. Mathais and Jane had just speant the morning searching for scraps of food, having no luck as usual. They walked down the alley to their make shift cabin, as they usually did, tucked away at the end of the narrow passage way. However, someone was waiting for them. Grabacr was an unpleasent man, always sneering at Jane. He still had a large scratch down his face from the time Jane had clawed him. Mathais had been absent from the encounter but Jane refused to talk about it. But there he was. They had only rounded the corner when Grabacr pounced on Jane. Mathais was knocked to the side and forgotten about by Grabacr, his concentration focused on Jane. But then the gem began to glow. Becoming bright very quickly, a large eidolon materialised into existence- Scinfaxi, Lord of the Sea. Grabacr was stunned by the demon that had been presented before him, as was Mathais. Grabacr eventually regained his senses, leaving before Scinfaxi attacked. But Mathais collapsed next to Jane, who had passed out from having her head hit against the ground.

Jane and Mathais awoke in a lavishly decorated home, a far cry from the makeshift cabin. Standing over them was a tall, muscular boy who couldn't have been older than 15. He explained that he had found the two of them in the alley after Scinfaxi was summoned. He had seen the event from afar, thinking that Scinfaxi might have been Leviathan. But no, it was Scinfaxi, a very rare and un heard of summon. Mathais thanked the boy, asking when they could leave. Jane seemed less willing to leave, wanting to stay close to her saviour. Mathais was not allowed leave, however, the young saviour wanting to teach Mathais how to control his summons and equally teach Jane the same. Mathais agreed and allowed the boy to teach them. This boy was Henry.

Many years later, when Mathais reached the age of twenty, Jane and Henry wished to be wed. Mathais had grown envious of Henry, Mathais always wishing to marry Jane himself. But Mathais could not bring himself to complain, wanting Jane to be happy. Jane and Henry were married in the local custom, their love being enternal and true. It was one evening (after Jane and Henry had been married for 5 years) that Jane gave birth to a daughter. But Henry and Jane could not decide on a name. They argued for a long while, not knowing what to call their child. It was Mathais who eventually came up with a name to suit them both- Sarah.

Later still, Henry asked Mathais 'one last favour'. Mathais was now a well known summoner, and a skilled one. Henry and Jane were also competent summoners but not to the skill of Mathais. The favour that Henry asked of Mathais was unusual, and its purpose was a mystery to Mathais. In the dead of night, Mathais and Henry snuck out into the dark to the great wall near the centre of the town. There Mathais helped Henry leave messages for his daughter and wife. The next day Henry was missing from the town.

Mathais looked for Henry constantly. Jane couldn’t leave her daughter to go looking herself so Mathais went in her stead. In the impossibly large tree that was near the edge of the continent, Mathais found Henry- dead. Mathais had been several minutes too late, witnessing a battle of Eidolons from afar. Standing over Henry’s dead body was an all too familiar face- Grabacr. It would be much later that Mathais would learn the full extent of their plans but in a fit of rage, Mathais summoned Scinfaxi, killing Grabacr. Mathais took the body of his dead friend back to town, were he was laid to rest in front of a grieving wife.

It was too soon after that their home town was destroyed. Jane brought up Sarah with the help of Mathais. But Mathais suffered from bad dreams- unreal dreams. While everyone suffers from the occasional nightmare, Mathais's dreams brought visions of the future, dark visions. He saw a tree, not unlike the one were he had found Henry, in flames. He saw a great land ravaged by war. But most terrifing of all, he saw his town's destruction. Something pulled him to the tree. He hadn't visited it since he had found Henry. But he went, leaving Jane and Sarah in the town. At the tree he was confronted by Grabacr, who talked maniacally about the 'Grey Men'. Grabacr fell down on his knees before Mathais, asking for a favour. Mathais nearly killed Grabacr there and then but something stopped him, something Grabacr said. Grabacr cried something about the end of the town, or his people. Grabacr lead Mathais into the very core of the tree and was met with a sight that he did not believe. There was Soulcage. This mockery of a tree was surrounded by worshipers, people from the town. The worshipers fled at the sight of Mathais, scared of his powers. But Soulcage was not so easily frightned. Mathais questioned Soulcage on its purpose, and it could not lie. But Soulcage would not be responsible for the death of his village, that would be another enemy. So Mathais left the Soulcage and its worshipers, going to warn the people of the village about the danger. But he was too late.

Mathais arrived at a scene of devestation, his entire home town on fire, an ominous red eye in the sky. Mathais ran into the village, desperate to find Jane and Sarah. He found them both hidding in their home, terrified on the eye. Mathais brought them too the docks, giving them a boat to escape on. Jane pleaded that Mathais join them but he refused. Mathais went back to the village, hoping to stop the eye causing anymore damage. Mathais unleashed all of his power, sending the Demon Lord Razgriz into the fray, hoping to take the eye down. But it was not to be and Mathais was killed.

Or so everyone thought. Mathais was found by a the Carols, neighbours of Jane and Sarah. Mathais was nursed back to health and in a few short days he left the village for good. At the top of a mountian pass, Mathais looked down upon the town of Maiden Sari for what he thought would be the last time.

At the Iifa tree, Mathais confronted the Soulcage again, demanding to know who destroyed the village. The question angered the beast, causing a fight to ensue. Mathais won, his Eidolons easily defeating the undead creature. Mathais asked the Soulcage again and it replied, Terra. Mathais was taken aback- Terra was a word that frequently came in to him in dreams. The Soulcage saw its chance, Mathais thinking about Terra. Mathais was abosrbed into the Soulcage, becoming part of it. Their Mathais would remain for 27 years, watching everything happen in the world and have no power to stop it.

After Zidane and party defeated Soulcage 17 years ago, Mathais too control of the body of Soulcage. Slowly and over 17 years, Mathais managed to seperate his own body with that of the Soulcage using a set of extremly dangerous magic. But it came at a terrible price. Mathais lost his entire memory, forgetting his entire life in Maiden Sari. All he could remember, the only image he had was that of the great red eye.

Heh, I've never seen so many references to Ace Combat in one character in any RP I've ever been in. And I should know, I was the only Ace Combat fan in the site for some time now. :lew:

Looking forward to your second bio Mobius.

Name: Berserker

Age: 19

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Neptuniav15-1-.jpg

Personality: A fairly stoic and bookwormy girl, when left alone she'd sooner keep her nose in a book than associate with other people, she can be quiet and rather snarky with people who irritate her. She also possesses an extremely short fuse, seeing her jump to violence over the slightest disturbance is not unheard of, especially if one pokes at her insecurities over her size or does something to disturb her reading. Despite her angry demeanor she is a very caring person and will go out of her way to help other people, this especially counts for people in her care.

Class: Warrior / Berserker

Abilities: Hammer Arts: Uses the size and force of her strikes to deal excessive damage to her opponents and the surroundings, upgraded to Axe Arts in Trance

Trance: Transforms her body, gaining a white armoured bodysuit and weilds a giant axe several times her size with effortless ease. She also has limited flight ability and gains an incredibly high boost to her physical strength and endurance.

Trance Appearance: http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1359527?tags=white_heart

Weapon: A large hammer roughly the same size as her, made completely of metal it's head is silvery in colour aside from the front, which has a yellow outer ring with a blue colour over the striking part. It possesses enough weight to heavily damage armour, and worse to unarmoured targets.

Bio: Berserker, in her early years in Oeilvert took interest in the scholarly arts, never one with a love of battle she was rather dismissive of the soldiers there. Through her work with the research teams she became aquainted with one of the few White Mages of Oeilvert at the time, with so many finding interest in attacking arts his presence interested her. Her largest fascination was in his non indulgent take on combat itself. Taking interest in him she started choosing to work closely with him, despite her field of learning and his field of research she still enjoyed his company. It didn't take too long before she realised she was developing feelings for him, someone who, to her was a rarity in this country. It was then that she heard about the Bodily Fusion Project, an experiment to combine two people to absorb their individual strengths as well as to increase life expectancy, though she was human Berserker saw it almost like the human concept of marriage, especially in genome society where reproduction isn't highly practiced among their race.

Enlisting herself in the project, she specified her desire to be fused with White Mage, the one she had fallen in love with. Combined with him, she could be with him forever and once the project was begun things went dark for what felt like an eternity. When she awoke she felt herself looking through another's eyes, like a spectator of another's body, had the plan succeeded? Before she could speak out and confirm she felt her stamina drain instantaneously.

Battle Theme:

----------------------------------------

Name: White Mage

Age: 18

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1353718?tags=1boy+staff

Personality: A fairly deadpan and forward young man, he has minimal experience of the world around him and is naive of the social norms, usually to the embarassment of others, outside of speaking to other people he spends a lot of his independant time conversing with the other inhabitant of the body, being Berserker who he treats as a sister. White Mage is not an agressive fighter, favouring defense and defense oriented spells in combat.

White Mage has limited experience with people, only knowing those who performed experiments on him through way of eavesdropping, it also leaves him unable to understand when a person feels emotion, only knowing the expressions from an analytical point of view. This leaves him rather calm minded, only ever being stirred when his 'sister' is threatened.

Class: White Mage/Paladin

Abilities: White Magic: Covers the traditional curative white magic spells, as well as the use of the defensive spells. Such spells including Protect (temporary repelling barrier to physical strikes) and Haste/Slow (speed up/slow down the target's movement speed)

Trance: Gives all of his white magic Area of Effect properties, allowing any ordinary spell to affect far off targets as well as the intended target. He also gains automatic boosts of Protect, Shell, Bravery, Faith, Haste, Regenerate and places a barrier around the blade of his weapon, removing it's killing ability in favour of a significant boost in force in strikes.

Weapon: A shamanistic staff which has been modified to contain a spearhead in the top part (when removed) and a long blade along the entirety of the shaft which can be removed in a similar fashion. This enables it to be used as a staff, spear and two handed longsword on the fly.

Bio: During his childhood, White Mage was groomed to follow through his family's footsteps, he was the son of a family of doctors and as such was naturally gifted in healing arts. What set him apart from them however was how expansive his abilities became, he was unrestricted to simply healing and ailment restoration and as such was seen to be a strong example of his family's work. Despite these expectations, he didn't possess a particularly competitive edge, choosing instead to remain humble in his abilities. This decision kept him inclined more to pursue non violent methods of application of his abilities and sought a way to extend this viewpoint to the military.

Due to his youth, such a view and goal in mind gained him much curiosity as he climbed through the academia, in particular one young girl became rather close to him, at least professionally though rumours circulated that after hours she had habits of watching him or outright working overtime when he was staying behind, naturally these evolved into rumours of her having a crush on him. To some degree he began to grow suspicious that these rumours may hold truth when he volunteered for the Bodily Fusion Project, seeing it as one step in removing a need for any bloodshed if they could become more worthy of human interest, as well as to give themselves a greater efficiency in their lives. White Mage however was not told who his partner would be due to the selection being made at the last moment.

When he found darkness engulf him for the Project's start he felt oddly at peace and when he awoke, he felt something missing in his mind, almost like he was a stranger. He felt some memories missing and upon observing his surroundings he found himself in some kind of mountain region, it seemed peaceful enough but he knew this was not somewhere he was familiar with. Finding a staff cast near his body he picked it up and began using it as a crutch, his body still quite drained and began to walk to try and find where he was.

He studied the arts of swordsmanship and magic before becoming an Oracle. He eventually left and started to search for his own life. Now, Panda usually spends his time around moogles. Not much is known about Panda, but he is noted to be seen at various places. Rumors have it that Madain Sari now has a casino built next to the ruins towards the side of the ocean. Panda can be found sometimes standing on an upper level looking down at the casino floor.

The RP will be starting shortly, for those who has already created characters but have not finished, you have until April 30, for those who still wish to join, you have until April 8.
Kyreaan & Mobius64: Please be more descriptive about your weapon choice.

Kyreaan's weapon seems to be more original, therefore I want to know what the weapon is in terms of how it looks.

Mobius is your staff the same basic staff at the start of the games, or is it a quarterstaff? Please elaborate as to what type of staff, and add a little description please.
Shace The Great: Very interesting take on the "Dragoon" in military terms. Is he going to be using different lances throughout like Mr. 1000 with his staves? (and other weapons if he comes across them and learns how to use them) Or just one?

Noblesse Oblige He will only be using one I will put the looks and which one in the profile in a second (y)

Oh, I thought I might say that I won't be able to post until the 3rd of 4th or 5th of April (it's one of the dates, I just don't know what one). Sorry for the inconvience. If my characters are needed to do anything then feel free to use them (within the profile obviously) until I get back. Thanks.

Very well Mobius.

The RP has begun, unlike the first go around however, the RP remake will begin a day prior to the original, and there will be a lot of changes compared to the original RP as it already has.

Kevin who will be controlling the characters like Garnet, Zidane, Freya, etc etc

Anyone and everyone can have the opportunity to control NPC's. The only exceptions to the rule is Cyril and the Six Lord-Generals.

Ehh I'm gonna stick to my original idea and try to become a Knight of Alexandria, so my first post will be to ask for a audience with Garnet or Zidane if possible Noblesse Oblige I'll ask the castle gatekeepers and I'll let you decide if I get a audience or not xD

awesome, I have something planned with my character and the way she ends up in alexanderia xP

anyway, i'm going to do my opening post tomorrow morning, looking forward to this :D

:gasp: How did I miss this? I'mma dig up Luca's bio and plug in here and jump in a little late-ish.

:hmmm: Forgot I was using Amarant last time too, so I miiiiiiiiiiight double dip.

Here's Amarant's bio.

Name: Amarant Coral

Age: 43

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Amarant is a large, imposing figure. He stands over six feet tall, and has a strong, muscular build. His trademark is his long dreadlocked red hair. His skin is tinged slightly blue, and he sports a few tattoos on his upper arms. He prefers to wear light cloth shirts and trousers, generally green in color. His boots are of a generic, plain brown light leather. His hair obscures much of his face, but what facial features can be seen are very angular. He also sports a red goatee.

Personality: Amarant is very standoff-ish and aloof. He is confident in his own abilities, to the point of arrogance, and he carries a disdain for and distrust of the abilities of others. He is very much a loner because of this attitude, preferring to do things on his own, and often scoffing at the necessity of others to form groups. His main goal is self-preservation, and often only takes others' needs into account if they also serve his own purposes.

Class: Monk

Abilities: Throw / Flair. Will use the same general Flair abilities that are used in IX, scaled for RP purposes.

Trance: Flair becomes Elan, and affects multiple targets at a time.

Weapon: Fist Weapons, will start with Cat's Claws. Throwing Weapons, will start with Pinwheels (20).

Bio: Events as they unfurled in IX. Following that, Amarant virtually disappeared from the face of Gaia for several years. He would be seen randomly in places such as Alexandria, Daguerreo, the Black Mage Village, and even Oeilvert. But he was never seen for more than a day or two at a time, even by his old friends. Eventually, tales of the Flaming Amarant became little more than legend and whispers. But within the last two years, Amarant has made his presence more known, specifically in Oeilvert, though he has spent time in Alexandria and Lindblum as well, acting as a bodyguard for Zidane and Garnet.
