If i'm correct, wasn't the first time you ever heard Dart's voice was on disc 3 when they are on the boat?

Yeah i finished game a long time ago too. My fav. character was Lavitz and Lloyd, then lloyd at the end of 1disc killed Lavitz and i was little and start crying you know xD (Lavitz was shown in disc 4 also -really sad cutscene) I loved fight with Lloyd on somekind of arena and you miss every time you want to hit him, and he still bother you will words: "Too slow, over here, miss" An epic game (it would be great if it would be avaible at PSN store)

And to Gotenks: i remember him sayin: "Black Monster!"in beginning of disc 2. You can hear his voice in battles too xD

I hated that fight in the arena. They make you go through all of that work and beat those guys just for you to lose in the end. When I first did it, I was like "dude, wtf? why cant i hit this guy?"

well sure, if u dont count him saying the additions it would be, but if u consider the additions, the first battle u can here him say "double Slash"

i play this game thru about once every year, i love this game, i even have attempted making a urpg based on it lol

for me, the easiest ppls additions were rose's alberts, and kongols. rose because if u watched her movements, it was predictable when she would attack next, albert cuz most of his moves were based on a 1-2-3 basis so the moves went 1-2-3---1-2-3---1-2---1-2-3 so it was like doing multiple additions at once, but not everyones mind can work like that, and kongol cuz he was so slow it was just paced at easy speeds.

my favorites were Dart (as fire, not divine, divine was over-rated) Miranda and Albert (shanna was a wimp, Lavitz was a big mammas boy)

and Lloyd was an awesome charecter as well
 
This was a complete epic.
I loved this game growing up and watching my dad play it. The beginning was sort of slow I thought but, the game is just awesome. I love everything about the game. It's different with the fighting style and the powers in which the Dragoon spirit has. Very interesting game and i'd play this game in a heartbeat. <3 fantastic. It was one of the few ps games that included voices??<--- correct me XD. I liked how everything just plays out. Shana was my least favorite though, couldn't stand her! She just was so hopeless >.< Rose was my favorite just because she was smart and strong. ^_^


This is on my list of my fave games fer sure<33
Overall, I wouldn't change a thing about the game i adored it xD
 
Aye Shanna was a bit helpless in every aspect, she was barely even mentally strong, Miranda ftw. My sisters favorite character is Rose as well. I played through it again after I had posted in this thread actually, and I didnt realize how short it is. Leveling is way harder than it should be, and with the game fresh in my mind, I have a few more notes to point out.

Lloyed was a total anti-hero in the beginning, but in the end, he was actyually a good guy. Notice I say anti-hero and not antagonist. H was not a bad guy at all, I mean it is arguable that he killed Lavitz would make him antagonistic, I admit it. However the way I see it, Lloyed was defending himself in an offensive manner. If he hadnt have killed lavitz, what would have happened? They makers simply had to mislead you to make you follow the story line and have unexpected twists.

Another point is the fact that Meru has no magic. I understand fully why they did not give her magic, but even as a youthfull and weakend wingly, she had no magic? I guess its ok for the gaming elements though...
 
Ohmigosh! Where did this thread come from? I love this game! but the sad part is, I never finished it....I'm on disk 4 where you have to
go in the city and fight the dragons. I'm training the characters there when I get the chance. And Im trying to get Dart to master his last addition which will be a while.
Does anyone know if I'm close to the end yet? I wonder if the boss is hard :hmmm: Anyways! I'm glad I found this thread! Yayses!

ps: Did anyone notice how Roses dragoon magic spells were kinda pervish? She peed and had a period! yuckses!

Yes Oliver, you are very close to the end. Disk four isn't very long at all if I remember correctly. Just keep at it, and honestly, you dont really have to level up, the game makes it really easy to beat it without taking time to level up to be honest. The final boss isn't too bad,, its just a really long battle. Either use Miranda or get yourself a lot of healing items, cuz like i said, it is an epicly long fight...

But.....Miranda cant become a level 3 dragoon yet.....I did poor in leveling her d level up...
 
Get all your dragoons up to level five, it will help you in the long run for all characters, especially Miranda, the dragoon abilities can really come in handy, and not to mention, she can very quickly build up SP
 
but just how do youlevel them all up? All I got to level 5 was, rose, that old lightning fellow, and Dart (they are my main team). For Albret and that girl I got to level 3 and Miranda comes in last at Level 2.....Congol is useless to me cause he cant do much...
 
OMFG, thought I posted in here! Totally epic game, still got my copy :) truly love it. Dart and Rose were my favs and I wept like mad when Lavitz died, he was cool. The story was just amazing and different, made a nice change. And the battle system was good too.

DONT use the dragoons to level them up. Gather a lot of sp even after it is fully charged. They level up by gathered sp and even after full this counts sp, so it will last longer. When a monster uses phys atk barrier, focus on that one, cuz it will still gather sp. It will make it go a lot quicker.

Another tip is to put on additions that gather the most sp in one go, so it will go even faster...
 
I played this game when I first got my PS2 :awesome: It was a great game. I don't remember much about it, but I do remember that the story was very fascinating and enthralling and the characters were each very unique. I remember this one part where a party member dies and then you have to fight their spirit to allow it to go on. That was a great thing to put in the game. Gave it a certain flair.

All in all, the game was great.
 
I am forced to play this game on my PSX. 3 of the 4 discs are scratched and disc 1 is really bad scratched. It still works, fine on the PSX, but it takes a longer time to go through disc 1 because of it's condition.

I am not going to buy a new copy of it until one of the discs fails to work anymore.
 
I love this game so much. The story, the gameplay, the addition system was fun. I loved Shana though, and was annoyed that Miranda took her place.

Also, was I the only one who had trouble using Lavitz/Albert's additions? The timing felt so off in comparison to the other characters.
 
I had trouble with those additions as well. It sucked when I would get Lavitz's down, then it switches to Albert, who is a bit faster on the additions. It takes me a while to get them down.

Has anyone managed to get the final addition for everyone? I managed to get it for Dart, Rose, and Albert, but not anyone else.
 
Those additions were simple really, People often think of them as a whole, but the trick is to separate the additions they have into parts. It goes on either a two hit basis, or a three hit basis. It is split into parts, and the parts are fast, but the transitions between parts is enough time to be ready. Tey takin this tip and see if it works for you, it always did for me at least.
 
I finally got another copy of this game. The original that belonged to a friend that I played had a scratch on disk three and I never got to finish it <.<

Well I love the game so far. I'm playing it correctly this time. When I first played way back when I thought the additions were too hard and never bothered with them.

My favorite character is Meru but I tend to like the hyper girls.

Shana on the other hand is really annoying me. It seems like her entire life revolves around Dart, and I hate characters whose entire life revolves around their love interest (and I don't care how badass or weak they are if this is the case). And he doesn't seem interested in her. I dont' know she comes off way to clingy and a bit of a burden on everyone else. When something happends, she seems to be involved. She sprained her ankle and Dart had to carry her across one screen. (He should have left her in the nearest town) Later when Dart and Rose fall into the ocean, I was extremely annoyed that she was crying about him in the hotel. And normally this wouldn't bother me because it's normal to mourn your lover, but I don't know... I think I found it annoying that she was crying over Dart but could have cared less that Rose could have died too. Maybe she's get better later in the game.
 
I know what you mean Rydia. Shana was almost stalker material. I think Dart pitys her or something cause no way would someone put up with that crap in real life. I agree with that characters whose soul life purpose is to follow their loved one around is frustrating. Hes not interested! GET OVER IT! Girl needs to be left behind somewhere.
