Playstation The Legend of Dragoon

I guess it was a game for the gamecube, but I never looked into it. I'm pretty sure it was real, but I may still be wrong.

I don't doubt that its real. I'm just saying that I've never heard of it.

I hope they dont cause as Vircon and Cardiac Kid have said, its been far too long. It was good for the time it was released. But 10 years on, its not the best choice. The game was a classic and should be left alone for old skool RPGers to love.

Nah...

I guess it was a game for the gamecube, but I never looked into it. I'm pretty sure it was real, but I may still be wrong.

It was a playstation game.
The graphics were very good..as good as anything on FF at the time.

That's why it was so well received.

The plot was also excellent.
The characters interesting and compelling.

One of the better rpgs ever made quite frankly.
Certainly better than the recent FFs we've had to tolerate.

I expect we'll see a sequel at some point.
Like I said we may hear something at the next major gaming convention.

You talking about the original ps1 game? Cuz I'm not, and it sounds like you are talking about that one. The one I'm talking about wasn't even like FF from what I hear (Not that I would know) :gasp:

It was a playstation game and it was like FF in numerous respects.

I have a copy of the game and yes I played it several years ago...
so I know about it and don't have to guess about it.

I don't know what the previous poster is talking about unless there's some fan made game that he knows about.
If there is a fan made sequel I have never played then so be it.

Well, like I said, I'm not talking about the playstation game when I say Game cube *points to my earlier posts in this thread*. :|

No, ANGRYWOLF....he was talking about the Purge Dragoon, not this one. He already knew that this was a PS1 game.

I wasn't aware of any gamecube version of the game.
If there is one it might be a player made rom or a hack of the original.
If it exist I don't know anything about it.

shrugs.

Earlier in this thread I even mentioned how I play through this game at leat once a year on my playstation. Of course, now I can't, because I don't have a game system anymore, but that's besides the point.

EDIT: Yeah, I never looked into what it even was :wacky:

This game has to be imo the best RPG that has been made, and that I've played. The characters are amazing, I love Lloyd as a villain. He's probably one of my favorites out of any game. There wasn't a single character I can say I don't like, great story. The graphics were beast for being made in 2000, the video's were great, additions were challenging and I found them to be very enjoyable. The only thing I have yet to accomplish is beat Melbu Frama, he kills me in his last form.

10/10

I hated the final boss. The whole boss was just one long and annoying fight in my opinion. I don't mind long boss fights as long as they're interesting. This one wasn't to be honest. Thankfully watching the ending was really worth it so I can live with it.

Hey I'm new here I've absolutly loved legend of dragoon I had bought it with my ps one when I was about ten but got stuck not very far in. But i picked it back up recently and I wish I hadnt gave up on it to begin with. I found theturn bassed système epic because of the adittions. it was tough to master alberts and i still avent i instead went and bought the wargods amulet wich autimatically does the addition for you. Also the storyline was amazing you realy connect with the carecters and you see their personnalities evolve during this story.

For those who have never played it I say their realy missing out.

I love that game. I remembered I first played it when I was like, 7, and my cousin had bought it so now and then I would play along once in a while. I got hooked, but unfortunately it was his and I only went to his house so often.
But then it was around the time when I was 13, and I was randomly browsing through Game Force, and I encountered it again and decided to buy it as my own. Since then, I beat it so many times. But yeah, this game is amazing, and I kind of wish it had a sequel - even though I heard rumors that there was one, unfortunately, there isn't. But yes, I'll never give up this game.

Legend of Dragoon was a masterpiece! The additions were awesome and challenging, and gave the 'turn based battlestyle' a completely new feel. The storyline and the characters all had depth in my opinion. The storyline was extremely well done, and thought out. It had a mystic and olden day feel to it, that I crave in an RPG based game.

The cutscenes to this day I still say look absolutely gorgeous. Even for being an old game, I prefer that kind of faded and game-like quality, rather than FMV's that looked like they were ripped from a movie. (My opinion)

I loved the love story also, not to sound cliche ;3

Legend of Dragoon, oh man I had so much fun with this game. I still have it for the Playstation of course. I was able to get as far as disc 2 (man was disc 1 long!) and some time after that I don't know what happen. Just started doing other things. I'm sure I still have my file saved but I'd probably have to replay it just to refresh my memory on the storyline if I ever played it again.

because i adore reviving dead threads. :B

this is probably one of my favorite games ever released along with star ocean the second story. those two were one of the first games i ever played when i was younger and i've loved them since then.

LoD has the best storyline i've ever seen in any game by far. not only that but it's just an all around masterpiece to me. ;-;
i could honestly replay it forever and never get tired of it.

......although, i always hated fighting Ooparts for money so i could get legendary casque for all my characters.
that shit always killed me. so much fucking work, jesus. :rage:

how i want to replay this now. :(

This game took me forever to beat!! It was mostly because of that damn re-occuring boss (I can't quite remember the name). It was an alright game, each stardust was pretty hard to find. I loved the idea of the Additions, I just wish they had more. I loved the castle theme, and Dart's theme, and the very great battle themes. The last battle was waaay to long, but the ending cutscene was worth it. They should make a another LOD, seems like it'd be a good idea
