[V5] What are you currently listening to?

[RED SOIL by dir en grey]

Put the iTunes on Shuffle and Repeat ALL settings and this is what it gave me as like my seventh or so track. It's dir en grey so expect some unpredictability in terms of their marriage of sounds, vocalizations, and vile song content. They're in top form here, better than ever, a constant evolution, no track is the same. This one is heavy rock, hearkening back to 80s rock for me, sounds like something Metallica or Slayer would put out, and the death growls are as always superb. Kyo knows how to utilize his voice as an instrument, savagely growling one minute on this track, singing softly the next, crooning at another moment, and howling and shrieking unintelligibly and wildly the next. Love. This. Fucking. Band.

The Caribou -- "Land of Promise"

Another song from Sacred Spirits. I believe its from the second album, but I'm not entirely sure that's correct. Its been a while since I last checked...

Anyway, if anyone likes relaxing, peaceful songs that make you feel good, I would suggest listening to the Sacred Spirit albums and these song.

Unfortunately, even though I can repeat the lyrics, I can't seem to put it down in post for anyone, I might be typing them differently than they really are....

Britney Spears- Hold it against me

Freakin' awesome song! :gasp:

I've always loved Britney and this has made me love her even more! <3

Such a fantastic beat to this song. Perfect for club dancing and it actually has a really nice pretty feel to it when she sings the chorus as well.

Best of both worlds. <3

Paramore - The Only Exception

This is a nice little song and makes a change from the heavy sound you hear from them. It's an unusual love song since it's Paramore, but the soft sound to it is brilliant. The lyrics are quite deep and Hayley Williams has got the perfect voice for this. It's nice to see that you don't need to belt out your voice all the way through a love song. However, it's nice to see that the music picks up halfway through and reminds everyone it's still Paramore.

Mirrorthrone - A Scream To Express The Hate of A Race [click to listen]

Heard this on a death metal channel of live365.com. Let me just say, if you're an average normal person, this song will terrify you. If you're a metal-head but prefer sound over lyrics, you'll most likely like this song. However, if you're like me and like the sounds and the lyrics together, you'd think this is actually a beautifully expressed song. We've all had those moments where you just want to say every sick detail of what you think of a person, a group of people, or maybe all people. I have those moments all of the time, and hearing this song kind of makes me reflect on that. Whether if its past occurrences or events that led me to feel how I feel, this song reminds me that I'm not the only one out there that can feel the worldwide disturbance. I'm into all sorts of genres of music because I pay more attention to the mood and lyrics rather than the sound by itself, and I can proudly say this song has a vast passion within it .

Grim Goodbye - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus(Click for song)

Love every minute of this song. The rotation from clean vocals and unclean is why I love Post-Hardcore music :ryan:. But not only cause of that, I love the meaning in each song of this genre - this song is no different. The lyrics have a powerful meaning, and that is truly why I listen to it when I get the chance :ryan:.

Hellbent- Fast Cars

This song is the awesome sauce...a mix of the night rider theme with an electronic background. The song is obviously about fast cars...and cars that go BOOM! :awesome:

[Alone - Anathema]

Quiet, deeply moving, somber, and very haunting: this is a beautiful song either way you look at it. My only complaint was that it wasn't long enough. Lol.

The song of wolf

By now everyone must now I really like the music and if not, then you should know by this statement that I love this music. :x3:

There is a really good story that I feel is very important that people should read. It sorta goes with this song, the song of the Wolf.

An old Native American man is sitting at the fire place with his grand-son. It had become dark and the only sound you could hear was the crackling of the fire. After a while of silence the old man says: "Do you know how I feel sometimes? It's like there are two wolves in my heart, fighting against each other. The one is revengeful, aggressive and evil. The other one is loving, soft and caring."

"Which one will win the fight?" the boy asks.

And the old man says: "The one that I feed."
This song makes me think about how we kill these beautiful, majestic animals and remember that time in American History when all the wolves had been killed in Yellowstone park. It really makes me angry and really sad. I love the wolves, I love all animals and to know that we have and are doing this to animals is just cruel and sickening to the heart.

I personally like Wolf Song by Joseph Fire Crow better, but I have a feelings others wouldn't xD

10/10

I give it a perfect score because it feels a certain emotion or should I say emotions, very well.

Adele - Make You Feel My Love

This is such a beautiful love song. Adele's got such a soulful and emotional voice that fits the sad tone of it and the deep meaning behind the lyrics. It's certainly her best song to date. It made me well up the first time hearing it. It still does that to me now. The production of it all is soft and subtle, it's fantastic.

"Let me just be such a deep surprise . . .
As the world you knew begins to cry tonight
Just let it be, if you wanna grow and almost die
But sugar, we can come alive inside your dreams tonight
Live to believe you are the only one for me."

[Deep Surprise - Samantha James]

Samantha's voice is comparable to no other really, she's got this beautiful soothing voice. It leaves you warm and breathless and she has this way of plugging so much emotion into a song that it's almost addicting. I like this song of hers in particular because the production for it was effortless, nothing feels out of place, they fine tuned her voice with some auto tune, yes, but it doesn't obstruct from its original beauty. It's sensual and pretty and I like to listen to it when I need a break from the business and the loudness of the world.

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Pitbull - I Like It

It's such a fun song to listen to, especially when you're getting ready for a good night out. It was also nice to see that Enrique was slightly changing his sound and being a bit more fun, not that I'm fed up of him singing deep and meaningful songs. But Pitbull just still ruins the song for me. He can't rap to save his life and that's where the song loses a point, unfortunately.

Tor-Cheney-Nahana by Sacred Spirit

Tor-Cheney-Nahana means "Winter Ceremony" in Navajo, encase anyone was interested xD

Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out some parts of the lyrics, so I can't really post a translation. But the song is still beautiful either way. The album doesn't mention who it is singing in the video, or I would love to post the name. Well anyway, this is a chant and dance song, so maybe you should dance!

I love this song because it makes me feel like I'm in a wide, open field or prairie, though this is for a winter celebration. It also makes me want to go back in time to live during the time where there weren't so many buildings and roads around, when America was beautiful everywhere. :(

8.9/10

I don't give a full score because I don't know the lyrics, I can sing them, but I don't know the meaning behind it other than it being a celebration for winter xD

Ke$ha - We R Who We R

I originally liked the song for being so laidback and fun, but wasn't too sure about the concept. From seeing the video several times, I can now say I appreciate this song even more now. She might not have the best voice in the world, but at least she puts on a show for whatever kind of song she approaches and that works for me.

[Hustlers and Customers - Lupe Fiasco]

"Players who wanna profit and playas who wanna stop it . . .
Hustlers and customers . . .
"

This just proves it, even when Lupe's spitting out the so-called "gangsta rap" (might I mention that I find that shittiness of a genre to be deplorable?) he still slays it. Lil' Wayne and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em needs to take a hard ass schooling on what real hip-hop is about. God, this just officially severed me from ever listening to the radio, no more z100 and shit after I started discovering gems like this.

So Lupe's basically being a metaphorical genius, talking about how awesome he is ('cause he is), living in Chicago, hustlers, players, customers, staying alive, being a "gangsta", etc. There's deeper shit to it than just the surface shit I spewed out but that would take me a while to start dissecting, lyric by lyric. All you need to know is that this guy is a lyrical beast so give him respect where respect is due if you're into rap or hip-hop.

First State feat. Anita Kelsey- Falling

This is such a beautiful song. Elusive and seductive...the effects just leave you hanging on the edge for the entirety of the song. They also very tastefully incorporate piano and strings with a trance song. When I first got my hands on Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise 6 ...this is the song I would play over and over again. Now that I'm going through some of my old cd's I found it... and I'm addicted all over again.

Bang - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

So much passion, energy and sheer sex in this song. Her vocal delivery is awesome, and I love the raw sound of the drums and guitar. It's really catchy too, I'm going to be going around singing as a fuck son, you sucked all day :lew:

Mortal Kombat -- Halcyon and On and On

So, any of you remember this song? Mortal Kombat has a mega awesome soundtrack, which I'm gonna be sure to post a bit more of. I like the theme to the movie to, and Scorpion's song is awesome as well.

Well, I like this song for many reasons. It reminds me of the past, when movies had awesomeness in it, soundtracks to movies sound like this, games were awesome and actually worked on the fun factor and story factor. And finally, when Mortal Kombat's movies came out, of course. And let us not forget the Mortal Kombat games!

10/10

Brings back such fond memories....

I Just Had Sex by the lonely island feat. Akon
I'm not the kind of guy who listens to hip hop, but this song is the fucking awesome! I've already heard Jizz in My Pants before but this one's in a new level. Its been stuck in my head for a while now (my college professor heard me singing it once). The videos funny and the LYRICS too.

favorite stanza: When I had the sex
'Meant my penis felt great
And I called my parents right after I was done
