[V5] What are you currently listening to?

The Wiseguys- Ooh La La

Can't believe I remembered this song...this has got to be old, but its so good :awesome: ...This always makes me want to dance whenever I hear it. Old school songs ftw! ^_^

Lady GaGa - Brown Eyes

It's different from her usual sound and I like it. It's slow and this allows her to show off her brilliant vocals. The lyrics are pretty dark and the production of the whole thing is brilliant. It's one of my favourites from The Fame and goes to show she doesn't always need a big show to make a good song.

Bastien Laval feat. Layla- Restlessness

This is such beautiful song...it makes me melt every time I hear it. It kind of reminds me of the lyrics of Breathe In by Frou Frou because they both sing about how you are hanging and waiting to be with the person you love... This of course has more of a beat and sounds a little more sultry.

Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes - Fall Out Boy

Looooove this song. It's so upbeat! I can't help but belt along and dance around the room when this song is on. Decided to put it on repeat while doing laundry. Laundry has never been this much fun. :wacky:

So booooooycott love, detox just to retox!
Nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy!

Radiohead- "How To Disappear Completely"

Kind of in a meh mood right now, so this song is perfect for it. Very mellow, you can kind of just put it on repeat and zone out to it for a while. 10/10.

That there
That's not me
I go
Where I please
I walk through walls
I float down the Liffey
I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

In a little while
I'll be gone
The moment's already passed
Yeah it's gone
And I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

Strobe lights and blown speakers
Fireworks and hurricanes
I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

Plastic Tree みらいいろ

Mike Posner- Please Don't Go

I don't know why I particularly like this song...but I do. Although its a little on the commercial side for my personal tastes. Still, the lyrics are really sweet...and the beat is very nice. I have it on repeat :gasp:

I cant seem to stop listening to "Wandering Flame" Disc 4, track 7 of the FFX soundtrack. 7 is my fav number too...it just captures me and I cant click off the repeat icon :(

A peaceful, relaxing and calming piece of music <3

Leona Lewis - Broken

This is such a beautiful song. It goes to prove that Leona Lewis doesn't need a big massive production to produce great music, her voice alone could do that. When the chorus kicks in, it's at its peak. However, the best bit comes out when she screams, "Save me!" near the end. It gets me every single time. It should've been released as a single.

I'm currently addicted to Nickelback so I am listening to most of their songs at the moment, the one that is currently playing is; Another Hole In The Head

cant really say much about this song as I have rarely listened to it, i have only just got most of their albums.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Gold Lion

This is one of my favourite songs from Show Your Bones. Karen O has this amazing voice and can scream so loudly at times. This is a nice laidback song I've had on repeat for sometime now. The production of this is so natural and smooth. Karen O's voice and the music go together brilliantly.

Fall From Grace - Stevie Nicks

I'm having a bit of a blah day, and this song is doing wonders in making me feel better. It's such a straightforward Rock song, I never get tired of it. Her lyrics are brilliant, and her vocal is really strong, one of her better rocking songs.

Rise Against - Swing Life Away

I never listened to their music before but I found this song by accident and now I can't stop replaying it, It has nice lyrics that are a bit calming and I really like the guitar in it as its simple and has a nice rhythm that suits the lyrics

Nick Cave- "O Children"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKnltLxXFZk

Probably have posted this one on here before, but it's the one from Harry Potter 7.1 film in the scene where
Harry dances with Hermione to try to cheer her up
, but the song ironically fits their situation perfectly. This is my new blah song, it's good to just zone out to when you've got 3 or 4 major things wrong that are going on and you just don't even feel like moving. 10/10.

Pass me that lovely little gun
My dear, my darling one
The cleaners are coming, one by one
You don't even want to let them start

They're knocking now upon your door
They measure the room, they know the score
They're mopping up the butcher's floor
Of your broken little heart

O children

Forgive us now for what we've done
It started out as a bit of fun
Here, take these before we run away
The keys to the gulag

O children
Lift up your voice, lift up your voice
Children
Rejoice, rejoice

Here comes Frank and poor old Jim
They're gathering round with all my friends
We're older now, the light is dim
And you are only just beginning

O children

We have the answer to all your fears
It's short, it's simple, it's crystal clear
It's round about, and it's somewhere here
Lost amongst our winnings

O children
Lift up your voice, lift up your voice
Children
Rejoice, rejoice

The cleaners have done their job on you
They're hip to it, man, they're in the groove
They've hosed you down, you're good as new
And they're lining up to inspect you

O children

Poor old Jim's white as a ghost
He's found the answer that we lost
We're all weeping now, weeping because
There ain't nothing we can do to protect you

O children
Lift up your voice, lift up your voice
Children
Rejoice, rejoice

Hey little train! We're jumping on
The train that goes to the Kingdom
We're happy, Ma, we're having fun
And the train ain't even left the station

Hey, little train! Wait for me!
I once was blind but now I see
Have you left a seat for me?
Is that such a stretch of the imagination?

Hey little train! Wait for me!
Was held in chains but now I'm free
I'm hanging in there, don't you see
In this process of elimination

Hey little train! We're jumping on
The train that goes to the Kingdom
We're happy, Ma, we're having fun
It's beyond my wildest expectation

Hey little train! We're jumping on
The train that goes to the Kingdom
We're happy, Ma, we're having fun
And the train ain't even left the station

The City Sleeps In Flames - Scary Kids Scaring Kids(Click for song)

  • This song is just as awesome as it is sad. From what I can gather from the lyrics, it's either about the guy telling the girl that he has given her everything, and yet she does not take him(or take him back), and that he feels that his life is at its end because he doesn't have her. Honestly, it's quite a sad song, but I feel like I can really relate to it.

The empire will fall like they planned on
can we even last through the night?
We watch as the skyscrapers crumble
under the burning blue sky,
THAT BLINDS OUR EYES!

THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE,
to make things right
OR WE'RE LOST FOREVER
tonight, tonight, tonight, TONIGHT

We'll try to find a place to sleep,
its going on days, THAT WE'VE BEEN AWAKE
A sadness that I've never seen
I said your name, and you looked the other way

Because these are my last words
and this is my last breath
I'd give you everything
If there was something left
I have nothing left to prove
and I will live with my regrets
I'd give you everything
If there was something LEFT!

The disconnecting count of days
are fading away, the lives that we made
Tear drops were spilled from your blue eyes
intentions were wrong, I apologize
The empire is falling
like they planned on and we lost it all
The city sleeps in flames

Lost..
Time..
Everything's gonna be fine. Right?
Everything's gonna be fine. Right?
Everything's gonna be fine. RIGHT?
I CAN'T FIND A WAY TO LIVE IN THIS LIFE!

The empire will fall like they planned on
can we even last through the night
we watch as the skyscrapers crumble
under the burning blue sky,
THAT BLINDS OUR EYES!

Because these are my last words
and this is my last breath
I'd give you everything
If there was something left
I have nothing left to prove
and I will live with my regrets
I'd give you everything
If there was something left

Because these are my last words
and this is my last breath
I'd give you everything
but I've got nothing left

Paramore - Decode

I dunno, I did used to like Paramore, but so did my ex, so when we split up I started hating the Band cos it reminded me of him, but now I'm starting to get into their music again, and I'm loving this song, it's kinda relaxing in a sense really, and it kinda relates to my ex, but not in a depressing way. :awesome:

Lost in Hollywood - System of a Down

I've always loved their music. Exploded from an age when "Parental Advisory" was just a poor excuse for depriving someone of good music.
