Enigma -- Following the Sun

Another Enigma song that I happen to enjoy very much. I haven't listened to it in a long time, so I decided to play it.

Its not my favorite (that would go to "Return to Innocence"), but its still very nice. I can't put a finger on what it reminds me of, but its still -- to me -- beautiful. I pay more attention to the background than the lyrics though xD

Speak of the Devil - A Day to Remember

This song has so many meanings to different people, and it can be interpreted in such many ways. The sound of it is just so great, and love the Chorus :x3:

I'm on the edge of the rooftop thinking nobody will ever know.
I hope that you want to be
the one to see the distance from the road.

Adele - Rolling In The Deep

This is such a fantastic song. Her voice is so soulful and it goes to prove she doesn't need a big production or video to make it brilliant. Her voice alone can do just that. It's a big step up from her last album that had the likes of Chasing Pavements and Make You Feel My Love. I'm loving this new direction for Adele and this song, as well as Someone Like You, has done so well worldwide.

Tegan and Sara- Alligator (Morgan Page Remix)

I've been listening to this song for awhile now...since I heard it on BPM about a year ago. I loooove Morgan Page's remixes, they are nothing short of amazing. They make a song so much more relaxing. This song is about crying fake tears over someone you used to love.

The Black Keys - You're The One

This band I recently discovered and I've just fallen in love. They are the most amazing rock band I've heard from my time. The singer, Dan, in my opinion, sounds kinda like Jimi Hendrix. And his style of guitaring is just so classic rock, it's as if I'm listening to a rock band from the 60s or 70s. And the drummer... he's VERY talented. And their lyrics are just so... epic. I just love what they write about. It's a shame I never knew of them before now, but now that I know them I'm never letting go of 'em.

I LOVE this band!

No Doubt -- Just a girl

I just love No Doubt (and Gwen's separate band-thing!). Her voice, her beat, her songs, her band's tough-rockish-dance songs. Absolutely awesome! When I play a No Doubt song, I have to play it just once more...or maybe three more times!

Gwen & Co. have released many a songs that I have heard countless times on the radio. I think this and Keep Dancing was the most played...I think. :h,m:

I don't think this is my favorite -- though I love it -- but I was listening to it first, so the other No Doubt songs will have to wait xD

On The Floor - Jennifer Lopez Ft. Pitbull

I love this song! It's so danceable, it's just such a fun song to listen to. I just wish it was longer, I'm sick of having to repeat it :lew: The chorus is fantastic, and those repeated "la la la la"s is so catchy. Stupid, but catchy. I actually like Pitbull in this song too, he adds to it, rather than seeming pointless.

Baby Bash feat. Frankie J -- Suga Suga

If there is one song that could make me think of the past, of the early 2000s and of a better time, it would be this song. Suga Suga is the first song that pops into my head (that's not dance music like C+C Factory xD) when I think of the of greater music, when music was actually that -- music. I think 2003/2004 was the end of the finer music :(

It reminds me of when my parents would drive us to the lake or to the parks, or someplace else, in our Grand Prix and they would turn on the radio. During those times, it was peaceful for me. I suppose growing up will take some of that peace away....

Reel around the fountain - The Smiths

Oh I do like this song. I think only The Smiths are capable of songs like this, such a unusual and very possibly twisted love song. About the loss of innocence, giving away control and liking it. It's possible to interpret in a way that hints at child abuse, deliberately so, I don't think it's possible to write this song without thinking that it could be interpreted in that way. But it's The Smiths, so it's ridiculously easy to read things that aren't there.

Maaark, I hate you. :rage:

Jennifer Lopez Feat. Pitbull - On The Floor

I believe this would be at least the thirtieth time I've played this since Mark sent it to me last night. It's such a catchy song and I'm hopelessly hooked. Her vocals haven't faltered in the years she's been away from music and even though I usually despise Pitbull, he does well here as a wanted addition. The la la la's are so addictive and I do hope this gets a good chart position. It reeeally deserves the recognition it gets.

A Reason For Broken Wings - A Skylit Drive

So, I pretty much love this song. The guitars, drums - everything is so great. The combo of unclean vocals and death growls work perfectly, and the lyrics are just great. Amazing song is amazing. :ryan:

The battle loves to choose its fights
Collapse the sight of soldiers eyes
Bombs cascading over me
May my body rest in pieces

Spring morning rain
Heal the wounds in me
On me
The battle is won
I'm not coming home

Spring morning rain
Stitch me up with strings of symphonies
On me

The battle is won
Close your eyes just dream
I'm not coming home
The battle is won
Close your eyes just...

Dream of me, locked inside your mind I'll hide
Scream my name, feel me breathe along your thighs
Close your eyes just dream

Grasping of your sheets
Turn out the lights
Holding on to memories
Never felt so right

Shaking, squirming in your skin tonight
Oh my Marie, oh my Marie

This is a reason for broken wings

Spring morning rain
Heal the wounds in me
On me

The battle is won
Close your eyes just dream
I'm not coming home
The battle is won
Close your eyes just...

Dream of me, locked inside your mind I'll hide
Scream my name, feel me breathe along your thighs
Close your eyes just dream
Close your eyes just dream
Close your eyes just dream
Close your eyes just dream
Close your eyes just dream

Camp Rock II (Demi Lovato) -- Can't Back Down

Don't knock it till ya try it! :3

I remember the first Camp Rock and the commercials. I saw Demi and thought "another Cyrus" but I was actually really surprised that Demi could actually sing. She has a very beautiful voice, especially when she sings the American Anthem.

Anyways...and then Camp Rock II comes out and I was like "oh great, ruin her why don't you?" and then a week before it aired on TV, I heard this song on Disney (was watching Wizards of Waverly Place xD) and instantly liked it. I dunno, maybe I'm the only one who finds it incredibly catchy and really good? xD

(I also like Its On. xD)

Within Temptation - Forsaken

This is definitely one of their best songs (thanks to Mark for introducing it to me!). It's got this apocalyptic kind of feel and it makes for such good inspiration. I love the classical and symphonic rock mix of sound blending in together. Shannon's voice is incredible, she can convey such different emotions and I love that in any singer.

The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up

It's a very good song, it's often overshadowed by the music video which is very good and the supposed misogyny of the title. It's actually got a very good beat with some seamless sampling in it. It's more than just a rave track, the way all the layers and different sounds are brought together to create a sound is very clever.

Your Mistake - A Skylit Drive

I'm like...so in love with this song. It's been in my head for the past week, and it's just awesome in every way. The band as a whole is simply awesome, and that's why this song is epic. :ryan:

I’ll show you places that you cannot go
That you cannot hold
It reminds me of being in my head
A few steps from being alone
Not to place the blame on you, bit this is what you do
Take a few steps back, and you’ll see
I wanted you to be near

Let your body leave
Let your body turn itself inside out
Let your body leave
This reality isn’t enough for me now

You’re not the last one, but you’re on top of me now
I’ll never miss a thing when you believe
Turn your back away
We can be angels above the sun
A few steps from being alone
You sold your soul to be the one
Oh, god, what have we done?

Take a few steps back, and you’ll see
I wanted you to be near

Let your body leave
Let your body turn itself inside out
Let your body leave
This reality isn’t enough for me now

You’re not the last one, but you’re on top of me now
I’ll never miss a thing when you believe
Don’t you tell me about the times
Don’t you tell me about the lies, oh all lies
Don’t you tell me about the times

I admit to you, I was used like you
I’m a liar and you already knew it
Knew it would be like this
And you give and you give when I take
Take it and run

Let me be your mistake, and turn your back away
You’re not the last one, but you’re on top of me now
I’ll never miss a thing
When you believe
Don’t you tell me about the times
I’ve heard enough from you now
Don’t you tell me about the lies, oh all the lies
I’ve heard enough from you now.

Fatboy Slim -- Right here, Right now

I had it stuck in my head after hearing it for 20 seconds at the end on TV. I couldn't get the video to play all day for some reason. Now it loads, but slowly >.<

I very much like Fatboy Slim (this isn't my favorite song...or maybe it is? lol) and this song has a very awesome beat. I like how actually matches the video belonging to it.

Plus, Fatboy Slim never fails to make cool songs like this or songs that get stuck in your head xD

Jessie J Feat. B.o.B - Price Tag

After the atrocity of Do It Like A Dude, I've finally acquired a love for a song that Jessie J sings. I do like the lyrics since they're so reflective on today's society. The chorus is ridiculously addictive and she's got a really neat voice here. She's better singing than rapping in my opinion. Adding in B.o.B is a bonus since I've really grown on him since he's come out. The lyric of "Why is everyone so serious?" really struck a chord with me.

10/10

The Stooges - Raw Power

I really like the main riff to this song, I've had it stuck in my head all night. It isn't the most complex riff in the world, but its simplicity kind of works as a driving force for the song. The song itself is great too.

Plumb - Cut

This is honestly one of the most beautiful romantic songs I've ever heard. Her voice is one of those types that cuts right through your very soul. The production of it is so soft to keep in with the romantic theme. I adore the piano playing in the background and when her voice hits those high notes towards the end, you can really believe her when she's singing the lyrics.

One Day as a Lion - One Day As a Lion

I'm growing more and more fond of the drumming in this song. I think the tone to it is great, a lot of emphasis has been placed on it and it's really hard hitting as a result. I particularly like the breakdown towards the end. Zack's rapping is great too, I think the lyrics are particularly good in this song.
