[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Ooh this is for all of those hot and heavy lovers raging on hormones and kinky, naughty lil' thoughts.

'Just let me go, go, go, go, gooo, gooo, gooo, gooo
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
'

Really, really hot vocals from Marsha here, her voice can send chills down your spine. She has a way of drawing out sensuality from you and pure emotion, plus that vibrato is to kill for. Very addictive slow burning number here. Lovin' it. I'm definitely raping the 'replay' button on Youtube for this one.

Cellar Door - Escape the Fate

It's a shame that Ronnie had to leave ETF due to him going to jail. He's the best vocalist they had. Though, Craig isn't bad, Ronnie's better. :griin:. As for this song, it's one of my favorite, and has a definite atmosphere to it that makes you really think bout shit. :hmmm:

So, yes this is a song that is a must listen. :ryan:

Some good old Barenaked Ladies. Been in love with this album since I was just a kid. I usually play it on days I feel depressed while not particularly amused. it's a great album.

Thanks to my sisters, who I will punish with some Sacred Spirit songs, I decided to play this:

Cage the Elephant -- Shake me Down

I don't really know why I liked the song, but oh well. I often hear my sister's songs/playlists back then (and now most of the time xD) and it just sounds like noise to me. A lot of modern music sounds like noise to me. I prefer classical, romantic pieces and baroque...music like that as it doesn't sound like noise xD

But now I have this song playing in my head and I don't even know what it means! :C

Rebecca Black - Friday

I never quite did the song justice by not actually listening to the full song before giving my personal critique, no? So I figured I may as well listen to the real deal, and all of it.

It wasn't a nightmare, but it was something close to it. I find it hard to believe that the song's apparently selling out well on iTunes, but hey, I guess there aren't many songs that doesn't sing about sex, love and all that.

Guess a bit of change is refreshing... Or did they think she sounded good?

Crush Me - Eyeshine

So, the first song I've listened to that is not "A Skylit Drive" or "Alesana" :lew:. This song has a nice sound to it, and it's sort of edgy, and that is what I like most about it. It's definitely one of their better songs. :ryan:

Bloc Party - Halo

The infectious guitar riff, the pounding drums, Okereke's vocals - this song is so good I'm not even mildly bothered by the crappy production.

How Could I Just Kill a Man (live) - Rage Against the Machine and B-Real & Sen Dog

I think the RATM cover is a lot better than the original, but I like this version more than the studio version. I think the two guys from Cypress Hill make it better. The bass and the guitar in this are great. I think this is as close to rap as Rage Against the Machine get, it's not better than what they usually do, but it is different, which is nice.

Build a Bridge by Limp Bizkit

I've always liked 90's grunge. It's the music I grew up with, after all. Limp Bizkit is one of those bands I'll always be a fan of, since it's what I've grown up with and it's the music I relate to the most.

Is that one on Tone of Echoes? I think it's the only album of theirs I don't have .__.

Map of the World - Plain White T's

What to say about this song?
Well, I love the overall meaning to it, and definitely gets you to a place in your mind that really makes you think. It's just one of those songs, I guess. :lew:. It's a nice, simple song with easy-to-hear sounds, and lyrics that are amazing. :ryan:

Nah. It's on My Paper Kingdom.

Weird Al - Hardware Store

I'm in the mood for some good comedic music, and it doesn't get better than Weird Al :ryan:

<Decode> by Paramore

Apparently, this is one of the songs in Twilight, the movie. I'm not sure exactly which of the series... But hey, I did hear this song pretty often, especially the chorus. I was thinking 'it sounded really good', and 'who sang it'?

But no one knew, and I never did until now.

Kinda renews a Paramore fandom in me, realizing this song was actually sung by this epic group.

Chipmunk Feat. Chris Brown - Champion

Got round to finally listening to this and I have to admit, it's a pretty good song. I'm not really a big fan of Chipmunk since I can't bear his intolerable rapping, but he's not too bad here. You hear more of Chris Brown and I love the agony in his voice when he sings the chorus. It's such a wonderful song about looking back and starting again.

Pretty awesome last battle theme. I miss the age of the PS2, where good music and amazing gameplay wasn't a completely foreign fucking concept -__________-

<Can't Lose> by We Are Scientists

I chanced upon this song when seeking out some kind of theme song for a role play character. This song turned out a lot better than I expected, with a sort of tune that I particularly enjoy.

Personally, I think it's the singer's voice in this particular song that has the greatest appeal. This sort of voice seems rather similar, if I must compare, to Savior by Rise Against. It's the sort of ah-I-can-relate-to-that sort. More so with the generally clear enunciation of the lyrics.

... Lyrics. I cannot help but wonder about 'Friday'.

This OST is just so good. I wish I had a good game to play on my Xbox though, I love how I can play my own music during videogames. I'm pretty sure I'm going to renew my GameFly subscription pretty soon, so maybe I'll see what's out.

Taio Cruz Feat. Kylie Minogue - Higher

I'm glad they really hooked up for this because the song is awesome. Kylie's vocals are spectacular here and her voice blends in well with Taio's. The beat of this song is ridiculously catchy and it's one of those songs that you could hate at first, but grow to love in time. The lyrics are so effective and unusual, but catchy just like other things. Definitely one of Taio Cruz's stronger songs that he's released.

Afrobeta- Play House

This song is totally the awesome sauce. I heard this on the way into class and it got my totally pumped to take a couple of my tests. The bass and beat are killer but the best part is the sassy lyrics. "You wanna play house.... and make babies. You must be crazy... what you thinkin' baby?" <3 :inlove: This isn't the version I'm listening to..but they only have crappy versions on YTube so this was the best I could do.

Breaking Benjamin - Simple Design

Loving it. I can't believe this song was never released as a single. Heavy yet a melodic chorus and bridge. The only bad thing about the song is probably the melody in the bridge could have been a cracking guitar solo but instead it is more of a few second instrumental before the chorus starts up. Lyrically it seems to be about someone who is in a relationship that was going a long find but this person is more focused on something else (possibly career, lifestyle etc) but he/she is obviously will not stop for his/her partner. I like this line in the chorus, "I'm living it up while I'm falling from grace. There's no way, there's no way that I'm running away."

Art Of Dying - Completely

This song has been around for awhile but Art Of Dying have released their "major label" debut and some of their songs have been reworked and this one included. It has a slightly heavier sound than the original and the vocals have a more rock vibe than before. The main difference is some of the lyrics have been reworked. Trying to make sense of the old and new lyrics but what I think when I hear this song is a relationship that is about to end. Their partner hasn't been honest with him/her and at the end of it he/she is contemplating suicide. These examples is what give me this impression. "Watch what you wish for you know you might just get it" then the chorus starts with "Completely with out me. What's in your head is on your hands." Overall it is a good heavy rock song.

<Mine> by Taylor Swift

Yet another amazing song by this great singer. It was this particular song that pulled me into fandom. Before this song, I heard only four of her songs. One, the popular 'Teardrops on my Guitar', then the two hits 'You Belong With Me', and 'Love Story'. Subsequently, I wondered if all her songs were that nice.

I tried 'Fifteen' and it was just as good.

I was thinking, 'is it really true that all her songs are that nice'?

I actually liked how her voice sounds, so I tried another song. A random pick gave me 'Mine', and hoo hoo. This one even made me vote for it in the Kid's Choice awards. The lyrics are so meaningful, the sort that I imagine would be my life in the future - well, except I'll be the 'you' in the song, of course.
