[V5] What are you currently listening to?

The Naked and Famous- "Young Blood"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O4VkujgHIw

This is the first new song I've heard on the regular radio that I've liked for about three years or so :lew: Very good, they sound kind of like MGMT and this song is really catchy, I've been listening to it over and over again all week now. 9.8/10

Loser - Beck

... Well, I did say that was my 'craze'. I'm currently trying to grasp the meaning of the music video. Apparently produced with a mere budget of $300... Though whether it was a significant sum in that era is another matter altogether... This video borders on weird if you ask me.

Whenever the chorus plays, these two girls appear, and start dancing... And I think their dance's pretty funny in itself. Looks more like aerobics to me. And the whole time, it's a lot of random imagery popping up.

And this stop motion effect on a coffin, having it move around the place...

Well. Weird or not, it's made with a rather small budget. And the music's nice... So fine. LOL

Slip Inside This House - Primal Scream

This is quite a lovely song to some extent, it's cheering me up slightly from my annoyed state. His voice is a delight to listen to and he's very different from other singers that have come out of the Madchester scene. It's the cheesy kind of pop song with the cheesy lyrics and such, but it's one of those ones that puts a lovely smile on your face.

Please Forgive Me - Bryan Adams

I heard this on sirius love the other night, and ever since I've had a sudden urge to listen to music from that genre, which is Lovey-dovey rock with those men who have deep voices. Anywhooo, love this song, and that's that. :mokken:

Interrupted by Fireworks - FFVII OST

So soothing.

MOD EDIT: Can you please add a little more content to your post? This is a spam post in a post count section. Tell us more about the song and what you like/dislike about it. Thank you.

NANCY AJRAM - ENTA EIH
I first heard this song in early 2008 after me and my sister decided to google "Arabic music" we'll, after listening to another singer called Haifa I continued to look for more. The next day I heard Enta Eih, and I was sold. It was my first song that I ever truly just loved that was in Arabic.

The thing I love about this song is how sad it sounds. The way she's vocalizing almost sounds like she's crying from heartbreak. The lyrics are so sad, as well. But another fav part of mine is the cool guitaring in it. But also, the video is very sad to watch.

She's just such an amazing artist. My ultimate favorite female singer of all time. :ryan:

Ferry Corsten - Fire

I realize that this song is old by a couple of years. . .but I had listened to it for the first time a few days ago when my cousin played it for me as recommended. I had immediately got into the beat of the tune that played. :ryan: When I found out that he was a DJ from the UK, it kind of made me realize how a lot of UK artists are a lot better than most American artists. I can't stop listening to this song ~ :yay:

Loser - Beck

Lol. Third post running with the same song.

I did say I have a craze... And well, I've been playing this song repeatedly on replay for almost a week now... Still haven't got sick of it. Soon, maybe. Either way, I guess Beck's really got it going for him to have a song like this created.

According to man himself, it had been said that he was quite down and out back then - so down and out that he had to perform wherever people would listen. To capture the attention of those people, he came up with really, really weird lyrics...

... Like in this song. I'm not so sure if it has a logical flow, really. I doubt it though. If it does have some logical flow... Man, that has got to be some genius explaining. I'm too lazy to think about it more. Soy un perdedor!

To Be Loved-Papa Roach

I have heard this song on the radio a few times, but never knew who it was by, or anything else. Just started listening to it today while listening to other random crap I have, and was like "hey, I know this song. :hmmm:" Got a good beat to it, if I do say so.

I'm listening to the entire Beatles catalog in order, from"Love Me Do"to"The End".

It's been said before, but the degree to which they changed over the course of just seven years is truly amazing;it's interesting to listen in order, then,so you can really hear it.

Still in love with you - Thin Lizzy

Foolishly I dedicated this song to Captain Cadet and then I had to listen to it, I'll have to listen in Dancing in the moonlight next. But it's a great song, Gary Moore on guitar. It's a rock ballad. It is good. Should I post the lyrics? That's what people usually do in this thread.

Incomplete - Backstreet boys

So yea, I know many of you are thinking, "OH MY GOD, NOOOOO! NOT THE BACKSTREETBOYS" Well, I actually love their music. I honestly don't know what got me listening to them so much lately, but I started having flashbacks from my childhood, and good part of it musically, was due to them. As for this song specifically, I love it due to the fact that it has more of a pop-rock feel, and not what they usually do. I believe it's due to the fact that most of them are in late-20s to mid-30s. I also believe that they have matured their sound to make it what it still is.

Anywhoo, I love this song, and that's that.

Starfucker - German Love

Just expanding my interests, I liked the opening of it... I'm not sure how I feel about the rest of the song since I'm listening to it right now. I think I might like it if I come back around to it later.

Private Life - Oingo Boingo

If ever there was a song written for me, it's this one. This song basically sums up how I feel on a daily basis. A sense of feeling trapped and in a constant cycle of the same thing over and over again.

... Well.

I'm still listening to the same song, so I figure rather than talk about it again, I may as well talk about another song, so...

Mozart's Piano Sonata no.8 in A Minor, Movement III, Presto

I never heard this movement before. When I was first introduced to the sonata, it was in the Japanese animation movie, Piano Forest, where the characters participating in the competition played the first movement.

Embarrassingly, I thought the movement was 'lively'. A quick reference to Wikipedia told me otherwise. 'One of the darkest'; 'the final movement' was 'haunting'... Lol. I felt kind of silly then, and also, I didn't know about the traditional sonata arrangement yet, so I thought the first movement's final segment was supposed to be 'repetitive', and 'haunting' - though I can't seem to think so.

It was only recently I chanced upon this one. I then listened to the full sonata, all movements... And I must say, even if it's haunting and all. This third movement is dramatically intense - not that it's bad per se, rather, it's just the way I like it... Dramatic.

Also a way to re-affirm my passion for learning the instrument hm? After listening to the movement, I suddenly reignited the fire, lol.

Still in love with you - Thin Lizzy

thin lizzy <3

I'd briefly glanced over some of this particular Guitarist's work very briefly, but this is my first time really listening to it. It's actually not as lame as I thought it would be, I really like it.

The Black Rainbow - Coheed And Cambria

Great song. Loving how the beginning starts with a tender feel, and as the song progresses, it increases the climate by going into a more rockish feel. Definitely one of my favorites of the album. :ryan:
