The Day I Left The Womb - Escape The Fate

When simple guitar and good vocals meet crafty lyrics, you get a good song. And this is when you also get this song - which is good. The simple arrangement works. Ronnie's vocals always roll with me, so this might be biased, but it doesn't matter. So much emotion into his vocals, and well yeah, dunno what else could said, but yeah. xD

Eye of the Tiger - At Vance

I really am not keen on At Vance's songs in general, but they do absolutely fantastic covers. The vocalist (who keeps changing, so bugger if I know who it is in this song) is pretty good, and the song itself is a classic :ryan:

Charlie Simpson: Down Down Down

I'm absolutely loving this right now, only came across this today through another single of his, as it's single of the week on itunes, it's different to anything else he did in his bands, but I am a sucker for acoustic guitars, and I just love how it's implemented in this song!

If It Means A Lot To You by A Day To Remember

...I'm such a sucker for acoustic songs xP This happens to be one of my favorite songs by them. Great soft song with good vocals from Sierra Kusterbeck of VersaEmerge.

Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta

I actually think that more people thought that Green Day made this song back in the day than Harvey Danger. Then again, most people thought that the name of the song was "Paranoia" and not "Flagpole Sitta." Its become readily apparent that most people have no idea what they're talking about, but we all knew that already. As for the song, it's a frantic, fast-paced tune that's become rather well known due to its placement in like a thousand movies and TV shows. Sure, it's overplayed, but I still like it. I mean, who doesn't at one point or another feel like their paranoid and that everyone is out to get them?

Certainly not Harvey Danger, as everyone's coming to get Green Day instead since they apparently sung the song. D'oh!

Wish I Had An Angel - Nightwish

I remember the first time I heard this, it drew me right in from the start, and it's still one of my favourite songs. Nothing quite beats Marco Hietala screaming in your ears; he's just so unbelivably LOUD. xD

Better off this Way - A Day To Remember

Oh motherfuckingyes. I love this song. Jeremy McKinnon's vocals are great, and are a prime example of how his vocals can go from Pop-punk into strait on hardcore. His band is such a compliment everything. I just love how this song is one big example of how each band member work together in one cohesive unit.

Rock of Cashel - Edguy

From their latest album, which was released...today. Since it's been three years since Tinnitus Sanctus - which wasn't as good as Rocket Ride, but still good - I am understandably excited. xD

This song isn't too bad. A little slow maybe and not loud enough, but it has a nice chorus. Haven't really formed an opinion yet :hmmm:

Oasis - Supersonic

I make no bones about it. I love Oasis, and their first album "Definitely Maybe" is one of the top albums of the 1990's. It's a top ten album of the decade in my estimation easily. Supersonic is a single from that album, and friends, it is one kick-ass song. Liam Gallagher's vocals are bad-ass, Noel Gallagher's guitar in the song is bad-ass, and everything about the song just comes together perfectly. I'd say that it's my second favorite song off of the album, behind Live Forever, which MAY just be my favorite song of all time. Supersonic ranks behind it, but I still absolutely love it. Give it a listen, because, Hell, it's Oasis and they warrant it.

Vices - Silverstein

Not off their latest album, but the one before their latest, and I just love this song. It's part of Silverstein's first concept album which has you leading to a big-ass metaphor. This song specifically I believe has a great metaphor when it comes to the Vices in humans, and all the different kinds of temptations that come with them. If you like silverstein, then this song will knock your socks off. :yay:

Two Out Of Seven - Edguy

The first time I heard this, I had absolutely no idea what this song was about until it reached the end...I should have guessed, really. A lot of Edguy's songs are subtle and crude, which is perhaps one of the reasons I love them so much. At the moment, this is my favourite song off their latest album...it reminds me a lot of Dragonfly from their last album, which I didn't get immediately either.

Those Cannons Could Sink A Ship - A Skylit Drive

I was listening to this song earlier when I was working out, and then it became like the song that got stuck in my head. Dunno why, but I just love the lyrics to this song, and the tune to this song is pretty catchy. Micheal Jagmin's voice is great as always, but his voice in this song really shines. :ryan:

The Last Dance - Within Temptation

This song sounds like something from one of their earlier, pre-The Heart of Everything albums, and I quite like it because of it. I'm fond of Within Temptation regardless, but I much prefer their earlier songs from albums like The Silent Force and Mother Earth. Their songs over the last three years have been predominantly heavier in composition and louder, so it's nice to have a fairly unembellished one that focuses on how amazing Sharon's vocals are.

Avicii-Levels

I heard this on BPM and I was completely blown away. Penguin I really didn't care for so much, but this is utterly amazing. Avicii used to just do remixes of other people's songs but now that they are starting to branch out and do more of their own thing I'm loving it :ryan: This song just builds and builds until you think it can't possibly build anymore and then they add something else. Love this, this is THE summer dance song.

New Birds - Arab Strap

The album this song is described as Indie Rock, but I don't think that's anywhere near accurate. The music is simply sublime, it's beautiful and sounds absolutely lovely. They don't really have a singer as such as the lyrics are spoken. The lyrics are genuinely great. people often say that but more often than not they're talking shite, they perfectly create a mood and they help to paint a picture so that you can visualise what is being said. The song is about two ex-lovers meeting after a couple of years and at the same time remembering what first happened between them.

An Unreleased version of Vegeta's Theme Song by Bruce Faulconer

Good song to work out too. Gets me excited and in the mood.

Love songs that make me feel like breaking things.
