The Devil May Care (Mum and Dad Don't) - The Brian Jonestown Massacre

I like BJM's style of psychedelia, it's not overt it's their own take on it, I don't like modern bands who try to capture that sound by adding every psychedelic influence they can think of. I find their music quite relaxing a lot of the time too, it has quite a timeless feel to it. It's about 6 minutes long and only has one verse, maybe two, but it feels much shorter than that.

Destructo- Technology

I heard this on XM on my way to work this morning...and it got me pumped for my day :lew: I've never heard of this group before...but I like their style and I hope I hear more than just this one good song from them. So many dj's have one hit wonders it seems :sad3: ...anyways. This has a killer beat and awesome effects. I think I'm in love :inlove:

Don't Go - Bring Me The Horizon Feat. LIGHTS

I was quite hesitant when my friend told me to check these guys out as I don't really like Deathcore, but I took it upon myself to forget about what I thought about the genre and check them out. To my surprise, I saw they had a few songs with LIGHTS, so I checked out this one, and I must say I was surprised. Not only did I like it, but I like it alot. Her innocent vocals really went with this song, and also really her vocals complimented Oliver's vocals.

Oh My, What a Fine Day-Behind Sapphire

It's such a beautiful song, with a beautiful music video to match. The video stars Jodelle Ferland (Case 39, Silent Hill, Twilight:Breaking Dawn).

Watch if you have a soul! :D

A Sailorman's Hymn - Kamelot

Not keen on The Fourth Legacy as an album, but this is a nice, relaxing song for this time of the morning. I forgot that Roy Khan was actually capable of singing softly (or seriously, thank you very much Sultan) for a while, actually.

Masterpiece Theatre Pt. 1 - Marianas Trench

Love this band. They have three of these songs on their newest album, and it's basically just a medley kinda version of the whole album, it's friggin' awesome, I absolutely love it.

Can't wait for the 21st, new album, Ever After comes out! :kira:

Step On - Happy Mondays

I like the Happy Mondays quite a lot. Only they could take a song about apartheid and turn into a song about nothing. Paul Ryder can barely sing, Bez does nothing but the rest of the band are very good. They keyboard opening and closing is very good and the drums and the bass and the guitar seem perfectly matched.

Rusted from the Rain - Billy Talent

Not a bad track... It's on random... Time to skip I think...

Phlex - Blindspott

That's much better :)

Old Stone - Laura Marling

I think she wrote this when she was eighteen, which I find quite impressive. She uses a lot of heavy and evocative symobolism in her music, but this song is much simpler. I like the bold but slow tune, the lyrics are complex but not overly-weighty or verbose. The song has some nice comparative imagery regarding the titular 'Old Stone'. I won't go into what I think it's about, as I'm sure some cretin is giggling over the word 'titular'

Blood Brothers - Manowar

As Manowar fans know, all of their songs revolve around Norse Mythology, mainly revolving around Odin and the like. However, this song specifically tells me of a tale of how true friends are there to the end, even through thick or thin. Though that might be a bit cheese and/or corny to some, that is what I believe. On the flip-side, I love Eric Adams' voice in this song; it's tender yet tasteful. I could relate to this song, and I believe that's why I love it so much. It gets a 10/10 from me. :ryan:

Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) - MIKA

Urrrgh, why why WHY am I listening to this?! This is so far outside my preferred genre of music that it's freakin' subterranean. Yet for some reason, I quite like it. A few MIKA songs have this effect on me...probably because they remind me of the pop songs I used to listen to when I was younger, and mother was free to offload her music taste on me without complaint. The lyrics aren't painfully stereotypical, either.

Rebellion

Song #1

One of my favorite songs of all time. Really good song.

Better than the original(by Grave Digger).

Love the use of bagpipes before the end of the song(nice touch).

Song #2

love it because the guitar parts in this song are just really freaking epic.
Plus its about 2 of my favorite subjects of all time (the Vikings and Norse mythology)

Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) - My Chemical Romance

Oh my god, this is one of the most catchiest songs I've heard. A total different direction for My Chemical Romance. REally upbeat, and just totally awesome all the way through. People can hate on them, but they cant deny that MCR has true musical talent; they always try to innovate their sound into something better. Plus, Gerard Way has a great voice. :jay:

Build God, then We'll Talk by Panic! at The Disco

I love this entire album but when this song plays it really sets into me how awesome they are and were back in there "Fever you can't sweat out" days.
The orchestra in this song is so stunning and the play on an old song in its lyrics and beat I am always finding so catchy. Definitely one of Panic!'s best songs.

Separate Ways - A Skylit Drive; Journey Cover

Off of the Punk Goes...Classic Rock album and probably my favorite track from that album. I love how there's a mix of alternative, electronica, and the overall Post-Hardcore genre that ASD seem to be total masters at. It's weird, though...Micheal's voice doesn't at all sound like it regularly does. Usually it's more high-pitched, but in this song it's more mid-range - almost grunge. Either way, it's a fantastic cover. :ryan:

Nicki Minaj - Super Bass

You're like slicker than the guy with the thing on his eye, oh

I love that line. XD

I love this song. I wasn't really a fan of her when she first came out but now I love her.

Her facial expressions are so funny and I like how she doesn't try to be like, 'Oh look at me I'm so sexy.' all the time like other artists. She just looks like she's having fun.

10/10

Little Adolf - Bo Burnham

You know those comedy artists who do really offensive songs? Well, Bo Burnham is one of those, and this is his song about Hitler, but in toddler form. I just laugh so fucking hard when I hear this song. It's highly offensive, and just so wrong, but I just love it so much. :wacky:

Sisely Treasure- That You Like (Kemal Golden Extended Mix)

This is such a lovely song. I've been listening to this all day. The lyrics are so pretty...they talk about how people can be pretty wicked in relationships...but if you meet the right person, a good person...you'll meet up and it'll be love. You just have to go happen to be there at the right place at the right time :lew: I especially like the "Ever met a sweet girl? One that treats you just right?" part...its so me :sad3: Anyways :wacky:
