[V5] What are you currently listening to?

The Cure -- Just Like Heaven

Emo oldies? English rockers with accents and worse fashion sense than me, yay. :ohshit: I wonder if men were considered more or less effeminate during the 1980's when they wore lipstick and mascara? Probably less effeminate, I would guess... :argor:

Shadows - Warpaint

It takes a while to get really started. The opening riff is a bit boring, but once it gets going it is lovely. What they do really well is mix the sounds of the instruments together so that they compliment each other. They have quite a dark aesthetic, the vocals suit the sound, but they're not as dark. I do love female singers though, I prefer them to male singers, they bring a different value to rock music which is male dominated.

Neon Hitch- Get Over U

Can't stop listening to this!

It's so good! I love the girls voice! I first heard her in Gym Class Heroes: Ass Back Home ft. Neon Hitch and now she's quickly becoming my favourite. <3 Such a lovely voice.

I can't believe her real name is actually Neon. At first I thought it was a stage name but nope. Her parents actually named her Neon! Pretty cool!

10/10

I've just finished watching The Swan Princess and this just is just beautiful! Heartfelt lyrics well sung to a gorgeous, simple and clean arrangement. :)

I always find the love songs in these movies beautiful. :)

Star Trek Girl by artist unknown

This song is cheese to the 10th power. I don't know why I haven't deleted it.

You never saw me associated with this song, btw. :ohshit:

It makes me cry every time. <3

Nickelback - When We Stand Together

Omg I love this song! One of their new singles!

It's funny, I just searched Nickelback in Youtube to listen to some of their stuff and then found out that they're releasing their new album Here and Now on the 21st of November!

I especially love the lyric music video. <3 It gave me goosebumps watching it and made me get all emotional. XD

10/10

Monsoon - Tokio Hotel

Haven't really heard much from these guys in a while, but remembering my time in high school brought me back to them, and well let's just say that this song brought back good memories. I love this song, not really high on the voice of the singer, but it's not all bad. xD

I was going to try and think of something very hipsterish to say. But I just think it's a very good song really.

Majesty - Warpaint

I like Warpaint, two great albums with so many fantastic songs on them. I can't believe I didn't recognise how great this song was the first time I heard it. Superb vocals and great drums. They are quickly becoming one of my favourite bands.

Dad composing!

He's retired now and spends most of his time composing music. Recently, he's also been putting some Christmas arrangements together. Pretty sure he's currently working on something original though. :)

The National - Racing Like a Pro

When I was introduced to them for the second time, this is the first song I heard that I really really liked. I have been listening to their album 'Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers' for the past few weeks, so I decided to listen to some of their other stuff finally. The lyrics of this song remind me of something Elliott smith would write, which is always nice.

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

I was listening to this song on YouTube the other day and didn't really think much of it. Then I heard it on the radio and I got really into it.

It's very trippy and relaxing.

Lovely song. <3

Foster The People :ohoho: You should hear Helena Beat and Houdini, Kandy. I'm sure you'll like them as well. :ryan:

Frou Frou - Let Go

I don't even know how this got into my hard drive but the first time I heard it, 45 seconds in, I was hooked. This was just a few minutes ago. :wacky: Never heard of this artist/band but I'm definitely going to check it out now. The violin part gives me the chills. ♥

Heads Will Roll - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Lately I've been listening to the 'It's Blitz!' album from the Yeah yeah yeahs. It's not their best albums but I've been listening to Heads Will Roll a lot. I'm not a fan of the music video too much but it's a really fun track to listen to and I love Karen O's voice in it a lot <3 8/10

Dragon Queen - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Another song from the Album I've been even more addicted to is Dragon Queen. Some say the songs's terrible but I really like how it has a sort of blues/jam vibe and manages to be sexy at the same time. I'm also really addicted to the opening melody but anyway I think the song is really fun. 9/10

deadly sinners - seven inches of blood

I used to listen to this song all the time in high school. Its not bad I guess, but it's not really one of my favorite tunes anymore.

Vato Gonzalez ft Foreign Beggars - 'Badman Riddim (Jump)'

-----Sry, coulden't get the youtube function to work  -----

I was driving my car and then this song was played in the radio :sup:
