[V5] What are you currently listening to?

michale graves - nobody thinks about me. the song was written about the colombine massacre that took place on april 20, 1999.

This guy called "Clams Casino," he's this Italian-American dude he produces some chill ass beats using some unconventional samples.
This song has been on almost non-stop replay along with the sampled sample version, "I'm the Devil."

He sampled Imogen Heap's song, "Just for Now," and it's never sounded more ethereal and upbeat until now. "I'm the Devil," has been re-sampled: chopped and screwed almost beyond immediate recognition and it does sound darker and grittier. I love 'em both.

A Gilded Masquerade - Alesana

One of their better tracks off of their A Place Where The Sun is Silent. I will admit that their latest release is their weakest yet, but doesn't mean there isn't a few good tracks off of it. This song is one of those songs. Really has a nice, alternative rock sound mixed in with the softer natures of Post-Hardcore.

I'd advise you to not watch this is you have a sick stomach.
Throw back track of the week for me: Obscure by the wonderful, amazing, lovely band Dir en grey.
These guys are up there, as much as I love Ruki from the GazettE and all, he just can't compare to Kyo.
Sorry Ruki. This videeeeeoooooo omg, this video just unf it's so crazy and disgusting and filthy but I love it.
Definitely one of my favorite songs from DeG's album, "Vulgar."

the newest single from those metal heads from canada threat signal. the song is called uncensored. these guys are like fear factory meets meshuggah. very good band musically

On my Drake flow while I break out the books and study and fill out my job apllication.
Hard core studying day for the next three days.

Good Ones Go - Drake [Interlude off of the "Take Care" album]

I wanna say that The Weeknd is featured as a backing vocalist along with Drake; cause it sounds like he's harmonizing with him around the 2:15ish mark. Anyway this is a pretty atmospheric track and even though it's just an interlude on Drake's "Take Care" album, part of me wishes he could've expanded it and released it as a single. I mean, as much as I adore "Take Care," I just feel like this interlude speaks volumes. Drake's so talking about losing out on an awesome ass chick. Hasn't every guy felt that way before? Letting a girl slip past their fingers and feeling like shit even though they're focusing on their own "shit," making their steady paper? Like they feel sort of regretful and shit because they waited out too long on this good chick--hence Drake lamenting, "but the good ones go, the good ones go, if you wait too long."

Yet he also says, "Don't you go getting married, don't you go get engaged, I know you're getting older, don't have no time to waste ... I shouldn't be much longer but you shouldn't have to wait, Can't lose you, can't help it, I'm so sorry, I'm so selfish." That line in particular speaks volumes--he's basically saying that this girl shouldn't have to wait on him to get his act together and then come over and talk to her all proper like. She shouldn't have to wait, she should just move on while she still has time and get on her own grind. Keep at it. Still, he feels like a right douche because he's being selfish and not giving her what she deserves and is guaranteed. He also feels selfish 'cause he doesn't want this girl's eyes to wander and for her to move on from him; he wants her all to himself. He doesn't want her to get older and start contemplating marriage 'cause he'll feel like he'll miss out.

Oh Drake, you poor sap.

10/10 'cause I felt like rating it and it has a high replay value to me right now.

I've actually heard this song before, but at that time for some reason, it didn't really get my attention. But today I thought about how it could be a good song to hoop to, and eventually thought about a possible routine in my head as the song played. Up to now, it is stuck in my head. :wacky: But that tends to happen when I think about songs that I could hula hoop or fire spin to - I end up imagining a choreography to go along with it several times. I think this is a beautiful song . :griin:

Messages From You - Drake

Eep I'm obsessed with Drake now. It's official. Something about the way he sleepily drones almost in a laconic manner just puts me in a trance--pair that with the dreamy beat and it's heaven. All of his best songs are supremely short, it's like he wants to tease his fanbase with these addictive little "bite-sized" songs, leaving us salivating and wanting more. This song's pretty self-explanatory and soul-baring: Drake's not over his ex and swore he was when he was chatting it up with "Lorraine." Lorraine noticed that his attitude changed; before he was all vibrant and talkative and as soon as his ex texted him his attitude just went down south. She realized something was off. Drake basically admits that he hates the shit his ex pulls, texting him that she misses him and wants to be with him. They're like on and off. He can't leave her and he hates it 'cause he swore he could move on from her but he obviously can't for what ever stupid reason. He hates it when his ex says that she should've stayed, obviously he wanted her to stay but she left and didn't, now she's crying him a river through text messages and saying how she should've stayed and wants him back. Her messages fuck up Drake's poor mind and in the end he ends up texting her back "I miss you too." For shame, Drake.

10/10 'cause most of us have been through that ish. :awesome:
And I've totally played the role of "the ex" in this song, obviously I'm over it now but at the time my ex hated it because it screwed with his head. Soooo 10/10 for the accuracy and heart-felt explanations.

coal chamber - bradley of their first album. i think its cool, that rez, reformed the band, they were a decent band from the 1990's :)

Still on Drake's proverbial penorz. :awesome:

Unnnf I love the beats of his tracks and shit. Omg, 10/10 just because it's THAT addictive of a track. I can't even analyze it, I'm too busy dancing to this ish. :inlove:

Tool - Vicarious

One of my favorite Tool songs (not my favorite, Hooker with a Penis owns that spot). While the song is fantastic and all, I really enjoy the music video. One thing Maynard has always been able to do is come up with the strangest music videos ever. Watching them in 1080p is a must. The song is basically about how society sits back on the couch and watches tragic events on the TV with smiles on our faces because we all like to watch things die.

{She says kiss me like you miss me, Censored like you hate me
And when you're censoring someone else, just censor her like she ain't me
Damn, those words are scary, those words are Virgin Mary scary
I just tell her to spare me}

I Hate Sleeping Alone by Drake

10 out of 10 because it's Drake and Drake is l<3ve.
