[V5] What are you currently listening to?

I'm currently listening to Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory (Foster The People Remix).I never usually listen to remixes of any artist I like, so this is weird for me. I really like this actually - it's refreshing to hear a half decent remix for me these days. They manage to make the song sound even better (to me anyways, depending on what kind of mood I'm in). Foster The People are pretty good like that though.

I haven't heard much Paramore, but I absolutely love this song at the moment! ^_^ The arrangement's gentle, slightly dreamy, and the lyrics are beautiful! I love it when songs tell a story...particularly those in which people connect with one another and one person changes the life of another for the better. I'm such a sentimentalist. :lew:

(Don't Fear) The Reaper - The Blue Öyster Cult.

I always listen to this song when I go out with my girlfriend, and I just got home from a day. I guess it's kind of "our song".

Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor - Atreyu

I absolutely love this album. The best one by far in my opinion.

Unsolved Ideas of a Distorted Guest - Unexpect

Very fun band. The album I have makes me think of A Nightmare before Christmas.

I come across this weirdest shit ... and by weird I just mean really obscure shit that none of my friends listen to.

Yeah ... check out this soulful Swedish duo Quadron.

I don't even understand the lyrics ... the context is lost on me. It must be a language thing ... or maybe it's much deeper than I think it is. I definitely find myself coming back to this song because it's so ... different. My musical preferences constantly evolve and mature as I get older. I think some of the stuff I listen to is far more appropriate for like a 40-something year old; most twenty-somethings wouldn't dig this. Anyway I like this, the girl's got this smoky, youthful, and girlish voice. The instrumentation which is done by the Swedish guy who's the other half of the duo, is top-notch. You've got some weird synthesizer thing coming in at around 0:43 which is just wild! Again, like "Morena" from Freddie Joachim, I start thinking of the tropics and vacationing and shit. Maybe I just really, really want to travel for the summer, lol, but that's what the lush instrumentation of this track puts me in the mood for. Anyway, if you guys are curious, then feel free to watch the youtube video I embedded.

suicidal tendencies - come alive

i am gonna post the video.. i laugh every time lead singer mike muer makes one of those faces.. its freaking hilarious to me

Nujabes, Fat Jon - 1st Samurai

Still love the Samurai Champloo soundtrack.

This song isn't quite as beautiful as Eyes on Me, Melodies of Life or Suteki Da Ne, but I think the lyrics still send out a positive, tender message from someone's who's found independence, inspired by the love of another. :lew: It's more positive than Kiss Me Goodbye! :lew: and better than My Hands...:wacky:
