Redlight King - Something for the Pain

He and I were born in the same country. Does that count for anything, Seddy?

gotthard - remember me

its the newest single from the band with a new vocalist. their original vocalist died in 2010 in a motorcycle accident. this guy is spot on in matching his voice though..

Karma - Kamelot

I'm supposed to be doing a cover of this on drums with one of my friends playing guitar. Can't wait to record it.

i dig eyeshine a lot a friend got me hooked on them when i first met her.

flyleaf - this close

because my whole life is just that ....this close..

Seether - Break Down

Seddy got me into Seether hard core awhile back. Love the hell out of them now!

Oum Kolthoum - enta omri (can be translated to "You're my life")
A very classic Arabic song, and prolly one of the best Arabic songs I've ever heard, the difference between the present and the past songs is astronomical. (I know it's a very long song)

Morena by Freddie Joachim

Freddie Joachim is a very underground producer. He's been dj'ing since the mid 90's but of course he was very obscure and he didn't break out into the musical scene until 2008. In With Time was the first record I was able to listen to (no, I didn't buy it). I pretty much found out about him by accident by browsing through Youtube. He remixes a lot of artists that I'm familiar with: Clara Hill, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Floetry, and Litttle Dragon amongst a slew of others. Freddie typically blends nu-jazz elements with hip-hop, bossa-nova, samba, and hints of electronic synthesized elements into his instrumentals. Whatever he touches becomes gold. I really can't tell you which track I loathe or dislike more than others. Every song I've heard so far has a special place for me.

Anyway Morena has this smooth Brazilian samba sample (is it really samba? I don't know. Maybe some other music connoisseur can fetch the exact sample of me) with these sensual female vocals. He backs it with his dark bassline and it's just powerful and hot. This song makes me think of the tropics or just vacationing somewhere exotic ... like in the Amazon. It's hot. 10/10.

hasan salaam - musical chairs

he is a nj based rapper, very good, very real his music has a point. he often talks to kids at schools about his lyrics and even performed over in africa.

Rammstein - Reise Reise

I WAS going to see them live on May 4th, but apparently I am going to prom instead. Not sure if I win or lose this one.

Quoth the Raven by Eluveitie

Great, great band. Love the male vocals as well as the female. You can't beat a metal band with a hurdy-gurdy, whistles, flute, and bagpipes!

Trust - Neon Trees

Their new album comes out in a few days, so they've been streaming a new song every day from it up until it comes out. So far this happens to be one of my favorites. It's kind of a softer song with a nice beat and sound to it. I'm pretty excited for this album because it sounds like it'll be miles better than their last album which I only really liked about 2 or 3 of the 8 songs on it.

Pure Evil - Eyes of the Dead

Seen these guys live a few times. This song isn't on any album, but on their Evil EP. They were giving it away at the concert I went to where they opened up for Motograter.
