L.P. - Into the Wild

I love this song. :ryan: It's really inspiring to me. Makes me want to travel. I usually love this sort of indie rock sounding music and I think this is just a very unique singer. Very gentle and nice song.

"Gyal mi wan fi hold yuh ..."

Ah memories with this song ... I love dancehall. I love the smoothness of the beat and Gyptian's voice; this is such an intimate and loving song. It's not all nasty and worthy of skin on skin contact. It's not crass. It's nice and sweet; it's the sort of song where you hold that special person close to you and just dance with them. You went to be tender and show them how much they mean to you -- that's basically what Gyptian's talking about in this song. But then of course, true to the fashion of our awesome culture he goes into something rather direct: having a good ol' sexual time with this girl. Nothing wrong with that. He says he needs a girl that can care for him and dance well with him (and on him): "Mi waan a girl who will tek care, mi wan a girl dat can wine pon mi".

He wants her to show him that she's worth the sexual conquest: "Wid it good an mek mi feel it, show me dat yuh can girl." Anyway regardless of the content (because I known dancehall music reflects our culture and we love to dance and have a good time and such), sexual or no, I love the song. This is just a nice song with a nice beat, it really makes you want to dance. You have to dance to this, no ifs, buts, or ands about it.

Lot of Big K.R.I.T, J cole etc.
Hiphop shit that a lot here dont listen too unfortunately :(

Drank in my cup. Massive beat..shame of the auto tune but Kirko does it well I have to say.

^ I actually like the original song, it's pretty damn nice.

Real underground shit. I doubt many people here know about Murs (at all). He's this West Coast rapper from Altadena. One of the songs he has that I love and might listen to later 'cause it's replaying in my head is "Bad Man!" That song has a sample from "Illiteracy" by the Mighty Diamonds. Yeah I look for samples. Aaaaanyway this song by Kendrick Lamar features Murs and Dom Kennedy. I'm not a huge fan of Dom Kennedy at all, I honestly listened to this remix for Murs and Kendrick. They're both extremely talented and capable artists. I respect their artistry.

She Needs Me (remix) - Kendrick Lamar feat. Murs and Dom Kennedy

seether - tonite

this song has recently become one of my favorites. i love seether in general but this song stands out just like when they re-did broken with amy lee for the punisher soundtrack

props to you for eyeshine!!!!

as for me. i was just bumping some black stone cherry - i roll

sometimes you need to just pop in some good ol' stripped down rock n roll!

I didn't initially care all too much for her back when Shu posted her video for Good Intent in the shoutbox a month or so a go :hmmm: But then it popped back in my head and I had to go listen to more songs by her :gonk: I really like her voice  Especially in the live sideshow alley version of Wandering Limbs. :ryan:

Florence and the Machine: No Light, No Light

I can't get enough of this song, but I can't pinpoint what I like about it. I think it's just how much effort she puts into it and some of those notes seem pretty impossible to reach :/

Heart on Loan by Lostprophets.
This is the only song I really really like at the moment from 'Weapons'; their new album, out yesterday. I do like their more sensitive stuff the most; their other stuff can grate me after a while - but so far I am really enjoying this one and is yet to annoy me in any way.

first amour, i like your status thingy "a dream is a wish your heart makes" i really dig that

now for my song.. just off youtube now. the band Of Monsters and Men - little talks

i was scouring for new music toplay on my radio show i do online here and came across these guys. impressive and different. kinda like deertick, the decemberists and mumford & sons

Jeremy Soule (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim) -- Dragonborn (full length)

Probably my favorite of the soundtrack -- which is all amazing! --, it brings the best out of a real old age fantasy game and sounds like something that would come from a real epic tale, much like the rest of the soundtrack, particularly Frostfall's song, which sounds like it came out of Lord of the Rings' movies, which I also love. Another great part about the song is that it is sung entirely in the language of the dragons (the Dovah), a conlang! And man do I LOVE conlangs! :laugh

I always say music can really bring your world to life, and this definitely brings Skyrim to life. I hope to hear more of Jeremy Soule, he is fantastic.

10/10

Thanks, hun.

Anyways, right now I'm listening to 'I'm Not a Thief, I'm a Treasure Hunter' by A Skylit Drive. I downloaded it for a friend to listen to on my iPod Touch a while back and I've been giving it a few listens. It's pretty cool. I also like their cover of 'Love The Way You Lie' on Punk Goes Pop vol 4, that's a real guilty pleasure track for me. Prefer it to the original anyway.

Depths of Hell - Iced Earth

Off of the The Dark Saga album. It's one of my favorite albums from Iced Earth, and even more so, I love this song. Pretty kick ass song, if I do say so myself. :griin:

Very good choice, Ken. :joey:

Right now, I'm listening to Lying Lies and Dirty Secrets of Miss Erica Court by Coheed and Cambria. (Don't ask how the fuck they came up with this song name) Has a good beat to it, but is shorter than most (including me) like.

i just bumped the new dragonforce - cry thunder

dragon force has returned with a new lead singer and a new album. first release in 4 years. in 2010 their singer ZP Theart left the band..and well he was big shoes to fill but i feel they managed it well with this choice!

Dance For You by my girl, Beyonce.

Oi, she makes me go through mood swings with her music. One minute she'll irritate me when she continuously releases singles, like damn take a break girl! Then she'll release something so fucking awesome and sensual and sweet that I'll have to replay it. She'll make me love her all over her again with her awesome tunes and undeniably amazing vocals. She's good. Beyonce's got it and she knows it. This song reminds me of her older stuff and she just overtakes the beat with her voice, especially around 2:06 where she just belts out how much she appreciates her man. She makes me want to dance and that's a very, very good thing. I especially heart these lyrics:

"You'll never need 2 'cause I will be your number 1
Them other chicks are superficial
But I know you know I'm the one
That's why I'm all into you
'Cause I can recognize that you know that
That's why I'm backing this thing back
Pop-popping this thing back
Drop, drop, drop-dropping this thing back"

Yeeeeah this song is hot and sensual. I freaking absolutely love it.

Oooh, almost forgot ... for anyone who wants to see Bey dancing with a gawjus lace-front and ish in the official video:
