[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Flo Rida - Right Round

Haha every time I hear this song I think of the last part in 'The Hangover' with all the photos they took on the night that they couldn't remember. XD

I love this cover of the original. It is by far the best.

10/10

Thats a great song :ryan:

The strokes - you only live once

Just another great song by an amzing band. Its been ages since ilistened to them, i really need to start again. Theyre a band i can listen to no matter what my mood is and right now its making me feel nice and calm =]

Wild Heart - Stevie Nicks

It's an epic song and the perfect way to open up the album. The lyrics are really interesting and the chorus is catchy. The last minute building up to that final wail is incredible, really atmospheric. What I love about this song is that she shows vocals that weren't seen before or since, she really takes a dare here.

At the Drive in - Cosmonaut

Great song, by a great band. I love the overall intensity of it and the rhythm work is great. I'd probably rate it as my favourite 'At the Drive in' song and one of my favourite songs in general at the moment.

Johann Strauss II- Auf De Jagd op 373. (Polka. On The Hunt)

Hm, my Chinese Orchestra's performing a rather poor rendition of this piece. After realizing the song we were going to perform is a western piece, I went on to listen to the original... And am horrified to find out that our version has a thoroughly different feel... Or at least, for our instrument's segment only. I'll have to listen to the entire group effort in order to find out if it would really be as bad as I think it will be.

However, for now, I'm listening to it again for fun :D

Sun Kil Moon - Heron Blue

Gears of War 3 trailer music. Epic is all that needs to be said. It has a calming yet mysterious feeling to it, I love the vocals though, they kind of sound like Viggo Mortensen is singing it. The overall song is just mesmerising. Fantastic.

Yuna Ito - Precious (but it's crap so...turned it off.)

Diana Vickers - Once

That's more like it. It's one of my favourite songs, and it's so beautiful. She sings amazingly. Not many people like her voice, but it's like marmite. I really think she should cover Zombie by the Cranberries :awesome:

Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95 - "From the New World": IV. Allegro con fuoco - London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Colin Davis (Dvorák: Symphony No. 9 - "From the New World")

...meh, I'm in a classical mood, and this is one of my favourite longer pieces. Listening to classical music helps relieve my headaches, as well, and I have a splitting one at the moment ><

Love, Love, Love (Love, Love) by As Tall As Lions
The titles pretty dumb but NEVER judge a book by its cover. Drum beats are soothing, lyrics are catchy, what else will you ask for? All I gotta say is.. it's a good song ^^

Number Five With A Bullet - Taking Back Sunday

Nice, and catchy song. One line was stuck in my head all day, and I couldn't put my finger on what song it was. I love Google. xD

Looked up the song on my computer and has been on repeat for quite a while. :awesome:

♪ We've been there once or twice, and you still don't like it! ♫

White Trash Party - The Afghan Whigs

Unusual song. Up in it, isn't a particularly good album, it's quite good in places, but this song isn't that good. Musically the Afghan Whigs can be far better, lyrically it's quite unusual, it's a song from the perspective of a black girl going to a lynching to be lynched. The lynching is the White Trash Party of title.

The Countours - Do You Love Me

I started listening to this and immediately wanted to watchy Dirty Dancing. XD

I love this song. <3

It's one of those songs that will never get old for me and I always enjoy listening to it. It has a nice happy feeling about it. <3

Charles Grounod- Le Reine De Saba

Just listening again to some of the concert pieces that my orchestra will be playing. For this particular piece, it would be a song that only our section in the orchestra would play, along with cello and bass. FYI, my section is called 'Xuan Yue', which directly translates into 'string music', though it really means the oriental string instruments that are played like the violin- meaning, with that whatever you call it and a string... >_>

We're supposed to play this song in the most 'Western-like' way possible. Considering our habit of playing in a too 'oriental-like manner', as our conductor calls it, this is quite a challenge, but I think we're doing quite a good job so far.

All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret

First heard this from She's The Man and thought it was a pretty good song! It's got a catchy chorus that'll keep anyone hooked to it and I love the theme how it's about keeping secrets from everyone. The lead singer's also got a decent voice as well.

10/10

Revis- "Living Rooms"

This band has a very unusual writing style imo--it's mainstream rock I suppose, but their melodies are very unique and for some reason the album as a whole makes me think of visiting a deserted city on some other planet, even though the lyrics aren't about that at all :hmmm: Although I think part of it may be that when I first got the CD I played it constantly while reading the book "Momo" by Michael Ende, the author of the Neverending Story, and in it there's some imagery of a deserted amphitheater in the middle of an old city, as well as several other unusual fantasy elements. Anyway, it's a great song, and I love the solo/bridge, it's really cool :D

Like A Prayer - Glee

I love this show, and I love this song anyways. Together, they're amazing. I love how most members of the Glee club have their own little solo too, Kurt and Mercedes sound amazing too. I love how Mercedes has a load of vocal runs at the end of the song too, she really shows off her voice.

Rachel as always is fantastic, she's such an irritating character, but what a voice!
