[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Tick Tick Boom - The Hives
I'd completely forgotten they even existed until I randomly remembered Hate to Say I Told You So a couple of days ago. Fantastic band.

Snow Patrol - Run

A very fitting song for a dark mood. The lead vocal's definitely got the emotion in his voice. I very much admire the band for making this song because it's done well for itself, especially since Leona Lewis covered it and that prompted the original version to return bac into the charts. I especially love the guitar solo in the middle, it's very moving.

10/10

Are You With Me Now - The Dykeenies
Listening to their newer stuff that I hadn't heard before. It's not all that great really, they've gone for a much more synth'd sound than with their album and I don't think it suits them, and the vocals are trying to be too melodic.

Timbaland Feat. OneRepublic - Apologize

I much prefer OneRepublic's version to the one I originally heard when it was released. It's so much calmer and love the piano playing throughout, along with the violins that appear occasionally. Ryan Tedder's got a very good voice and can definitely hold his own. I love the realistic side to the lyrics and how people can relate to them.

9/10

Better Than Love [Live] - Griffin House
A really nice acoustic band who really should be bigger than they are. The general feel of the song is really beautiful.

The Saturdays - Ego

Their best song yet and I love how it's about guys who seem to have an ego. The girls' vocals are on their strongest points here and the music blends well around them. It's a shame it didn't get a high chart position, though.

9/10

Urban symphony- Païkese poole

9/10

Since eurosong contest 2010 is next week I started listening to a contestant from last year. Urban symphony from Estonia. I really loved their song and was lucky to find a now song from them. I really love it, I think it's even better than their song contest song. I just love the sound of the violins and the singer's voice is amazing.

Man From Milwaukee - Hanson

:lew: This song is my second favourite by them. They're a band you either like or don't like. I remember back ages ago, I grew up listening to the song Mmmmbop. xD That's still my definitely favourite, but this one is coming up close behind.

Warbs just sent me this acoustic/live album, and it's great, it has my two favourites on it, and the other songs on it aren't half bad. I've never been a fan of this band, but hell they have some catchy tunes, and aren't half bad. :D

10/10. Along with Mmmbop, this song doesn't fail to cheer me up. =)

Hanging Around - The Stranglers

One of the few punk/new wave bands to have a keyboard. Which makes their music fairly unique and very recognisable. The bridge is sublime, it's unusual for the bass, guitar and keyboard to feature equally.
Nice lyrics too.

Lady Gaga - Alejandro

I wasn't a real fan of this song when I first heard it but after a few plays I've gotten to really like it.

It's meant to be her next single but I've not seen a music video for it as yet.

I did see a video of her live on stage singing it and she sounds really out of tune though. 0_o They always sound shit on stage.

Glad I didn't pay to see her live.

10/10 for the CD version

^ That's my favourite song of theirs. ^^

3OH!3 - STARSTRUKK ft. Katy Perry

Awesome song! It just has a really fantastic catchy beat and 3OH!3 always look so funny in their video clips. XD

Katy Perry is just stunning in this one too.

Great combination of artists in my opinion.

10/10

some mariachi band a few houses down and the game that wiznos is playing on my PSP... i dont understand a damn word the band is singing

Song:The Cats Pajamas
Band: Iwrestledabearonce

i seriously cannot explain this song:x3:
all i can say is that a random Youtube user called teenrebel94 has summed up this song and IWABO perfectly

teenrebel94 said:
iwabo is beautifully hardcore, to the extreme

truly is one of the most amazing voices i have heard so soft yet so powerful

11/10

Dragging Me Down - Inspiral Carpets

A fantastic, perhaps even sublime opening 30 seconds, unfortunately it falls a little bit flat after the great opening. The lyrics aren't particularly good and they're fairly repititive too. The song is fairly average except for the opening 30 or so seconds, but they're good enough to justify listening to the song.

Creed - six feet from the edge. :awesome:

This song is by far one of their best songs. They sing about life, and maybe death isn't that bad. This song helped me out a bit when i was young.
