[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Taio Cruz Feat. Ke$ha - Dirty Picture

Despite the surprising duet, I really like this song. Their voices blend in ell together and they seem like the kind of artists that do similar songs to one another. Ke$ha fits right in with this song, probably more than Taio Cruz. A very well produced song and the video's quite good as well.

Fyfe Dangerfield - She's Always a Woman

This came up on my friend's iPod when I was borrowing it for a listen. Apparently it's popped up in an advert for John Lewis, the department store, but I haven't really seen it. Still, it's a beautiful cover of the song and touching to listen to. I quite like his voice - admittedly it's not spectacular in my opinion, but I suppose if I listen to him or the Guillemots more, I'll probably like it more.

Lady GaGa Feat. Beyonce - Telephone

Very addictive song, though I'd been listening to it MONTHS before the actual single and video were released. I love how GaGa and Beyonce's voice blend in well together. No matter how much you could hate this song, it's very catchy and you can't help listening to it. I really hope they both do another song together in the near future because this was a great success for me.

What I Heard [Live 2010] - Blondie

She may be closer to 70 than 60, but Debbie Harry still sounds fantastic. Great energy in the song, her vocals sound hot, and the music is catchy. Really excited to hear a studio version of this when Blondie's new album comes out!

[Lifted - LEMONADE (Le Chev Tour Remix)

Whereas the original was all sunshines, laughter (literally; they inserted a laugh track to lace in with the random happy pops and crazy, childlike instrumentation (i.e.: water drops, xylophones, and steel pounding cuteness) accompanying you for the ride, and summer haziness . . . the remix is darker, club-inspired, Air-esque orgasmic-ness. You have the vocalist pull off a wonderful dreamy impression of Bjork throughout the song--that is, if Bjork dropped the Icelandic accent and developed a manlier sound. Yeah, if Bjork sounded well American--more like North Californian-American and less Icelandic, then yeah this would so be how she'd sound, particularly around 3.30 with that climatic howl. The remix is just hotter, it makes you think of sweat, too much alcohol, hotly pressed bodies, and a unified need to dance all night 'till you pass out from heat exhaustion. My pick? Le Chev Tour Remix. Duh.

The Fire Theft- "Heaven"

This band is essentially Sunny Day Real Estate without one of the original songwriters/guitarists, so naturally I love these guys too :yay: This song has been kind of helping me mellow out today, I had kind of a rough day and this really helped. It's sort of a love song, but also a song about being troubled in general, which I've been generally troubled today. Anyway, it's got a very nice melody, Jeremy Enigk always has amazing lyrics that make just enough sense to get by, and I will give this song 10/10. And ideally these are the right lyrics, because it's 4:38am and I have only 3 hours to sleep now before going to work.

heaven
are you really waiting outside the door
never though i'd hear the words before the road
sever
it's the simple things that are so hard to grasp
can't find myself in all the days that passed
but i can feel it when it shines
nevermind i'm falling in love with you
can't find the road that runs though
falling love with you
heaven
are you really waiting outside the door
never thought i'd hear the words before the road
sever
it's the simple things that are so hard to grasp
can't find myself in all these days that pass
but i can find feel it when it shines
nevermind the way they shy
turning around along the trail
my whole world is falling in love with you
can't find the road that runs through
falling in love with you
can't find the road that gets through

Ragnarok Online 2 OST - Din Don Dan Dan Fo

I really love Yoko Kanno's works on Cowboy Bebop. So when I heard they would be making the OST to Ragnarok Online 2... I downloaded it instantly. I really love this one due to the violins. Also, this is the song that plays when you're in battle. Shit is awesome. Can't wait for a full release of the game.

Pule Ultra - Never the Culprit

Excellent band, AMAZING band, god I miss them. This is exactly what religious folks should understand.. it might be propaganda but damnit this stuff is right.

You feel hate to give you purpose
Lost yourself in a larger cause
Step outside your
righteous pose
Your beliefs are not the laws
I hope I'm there when
there's nothing left to hate

Full Lyrics:

We are never the culprits
We are always the victims

Blind yourselves
with indignation
Feed the mass a vengeful elation
Enjoy the last era you
ignorant hate machine
enjoy the last era you
ignorant pride machine
Incite the mass to hate our brothers
Feed the mass a justified murder

We are never the culprits
In this world
We are always the victims
Who will fold

You act as if our hands were spotless
Facts are picked to suit our own causes
Enjoy the last era you
pathetic propaganda whore
When will you realize
there's nothing worth dying for
And now you've wasted your existence
To feed the mass a justified murder

We are never the culprits
In this world
We are always the victims
Who will fold
We are never the culprits
In this world
We are always the victims
Who will fold

You feel hate to give you purpose
Lost yourself in a larger cause
Step outside your
righteous pose
Your beliefs are not the laws
I hope I'm there when
there's nothing left to hate

We never the culprits
In this world
We are always the victims
Who will fold

WITH ME, DON'T FORGET THAT PART :griin: AND ON MY BIRTHDAY TOO!

James - Crazy

I looove this song, I think it's my favourite off the album. I really like the lyrics in this one and the tune as well, I like a good song I can sing along to badly, and James pretty much always deliver, even some of their deeper songs sound upbeat xD That is why they will always be my favourite band :rage:

I cant wait til december :rage:

Ooh Dr Hellier just came on...:8F:

Three Days Grace - The Good Life

I love this band. I've recently just been listening to all their music <3

I'm a huge fan of these guys and this song is an great example off of their newest album

This song gets my pumped xD.

Idunno, I really enjoy this song.

Amazing band.

Let's bring back some RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGEEEE :rage:

RATM - Testify

Amazing song... straight up banging with them lyrics. I hope they put out more music, I heard they got back together, but for how long who knows.

I'm Outta Time - Oasis
I've started rating Dig Out Your Soul a bit more as an album now. It's still nowhere near as good as their proper greats like Definitely Maybe, but I don't think I've given it enough credit. This is a really nice slow song.

Northern Star - Melanie C

Love this song. I remember when I was 14, :hmmm: I got the album for Christmas. Best present ever. Just love the album so much. This song is absolutely gorgeous though. Love the lyrics, the music, and Mel's voice. Always been a fan of her music. =)

They buy your dreams, so they can sell your soul...

They tried to catch a falling star.
Thinking that she had gone too far.
She did but kept it hidden well.
Until she cracked and then she fell.

If all the history is true.
She's gonna end up just like you.
You made it to the other side.
But tell me who will be my guide.

They build you up so they can tear you down.
Trust the ocean you'll never drown.
Who is next? Who's gonna steal your crown?
You'll see.

I have learnt my lesson well.
The truth is out there I can tell.
Don't look back and don't give in to their lies and goodbyes.
Northern Star.

Fulfil the longing in your heart.
Then we will never be apart.
And if they dare to question you.
Just tell them that our love is true.

They buy your dreams so they can sell your soul.
Is it any wonder we've lost control?
Feelings come, feelings go.

I have learnt my lesson well.
The truth is out there I can tell.
Don't look back and don't succumb to their lies and goodbyes.
Live your life without regret.
Don't be someone who they forget.
When you're lost reach out for me.
And you'll see she's not far.
Northern Star.
Northern Star.

Northern Star.

Colours, Mel C's a fantastic singer. Glad to see someone else loves her!

Melanie C - I Turn To You

First heard it on Bend It Like Beckham and I've loved it ever since. It's a very clubby song, but Melanie perfects it with her smooth and strong vocals. This is such a classic of the early twenty-first century in the clubland scene and I'll still love it in years to come.

Nas-NY State Of Mind Rating: 10/10

This single was from the album Illmatic by Nas

One of the best albums ever in rap and music history..............

That says it all!

I can't say much about it, other than it is probably the best cover song done by any band.

Eddie Vedder's voice just "owns" it, so to speak. It is a very sad song, but an exceptionally good cover recording.

Blackout - Muse
An excellent song about moving on to new things. The strings are something quite different for Muse at the time, and it's one of the most interesting songs on Absolution.

counting crows - raining in baltimore

i pretty much love the entire album (august and everything after). its easy listening and quite relaxing. nothing much more to say about it :ryan:

3OH!3 FT Katy Perry- Starstrukk

I freakin' love these guys XD.

Katy Perry isn't all that bad either :hmmm:

This song just makes me laugh-- the lyrics xD and the whistling 'tis funny.

Its a very catchy song as well.

I'm not so sure about the part when Katy does her thing solo during this song but, other then that great song! xD
