[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Leona Lewis - Brave

It's one of the more mystical and mysterious songs of Echo. It strangely reminds me of The Mummy films, but that could be down to the Egyptian-like music in the background. Pretty different song for her, but I really like it. It's one of my personal favourites from the second album.

Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go) - Garbage
I really like how the sound changes between the chorus and verses. Shirley's voice is brilliant in this song too, as it usually is.

Creed - Kryptonite.
This was the song that really got me into music. Of course i had liked artists and songs before this, but this song got me into a phase where music was my life, spent a ridiculus amount of money on music. I got a guitar and learned how to play. I guess i could say this song introduced me to the world of music. Guess that shows how young i am. :wacky:

I be currently listening to not just a single song but the whole lot of Eyes Set To Kills music. Although I am currently listening to Beauty Through Broken Glass. All in all I have to give this song 10/10 if it even needs to be rated.

Kid Rock FT Sheryl Crow- Picture

Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow are amazing in this song. It's a bittersweet song I think. I think they make a great duo and the lyrics of the song are perfect for each of them. They complete this song. Even though it's an old song, I really enjoy listening to it. Great song <3

Kid Rock:

Livin my life in a slow hell
Different girl every night at the hotel
I ain't seen the sunshine
In three damn days
Been fuelin'up on cocaine and whiskey
Wish I had a good girl to miss me
Lord I wonder if I'll ever change my ways
I put your picture away
Sat down and cried today
I can't look at you while I'm lying next to her
I put your picture away
Sat down and cried today
I can't look at you while I'm lying next to her

Sheryl Crow:

I called you last night in the hotel
Everyone knows but they won't tell
But their half-hearted smiles tell me somethin' just ain't right
I've been waitin' on you for a long time
Fuelin' up on heartaches and cheap wine
I ain't heard from you in three damn nights
I put your picture away
I wonder where you been
I can't look at you while I'm lyin' next to him
I put your picture away
I wonder where you been
I can't look at you while I'm lyin' next to him

Together:

I saw you yesterday with an old friend (Sheryl Crow)
It was the same old same how've you been? (Kid Rock)
Since you've been gone my worlds been dark and grey (Together)
You reminded me of brighter days (Kid Rock)
I hoped you were comin' home to stay (Sheryl Crow)
I was headed to church (Sheryl Crow)
I was off to drink you away (Kid Rock)

Together:

I thought about you for a long time
Can't seem to get you off my mind
I can't understand why we're living life this way
I found your picture today
I swear I'll change my ways
I just called to say I want you to come back home
I found your picture today
I swear I'll change my ways
I just called to say I want you to come back home
I just called to say I love you, come back home

In the Devil's Back Yard - Jon Amor
So much better live than his studio version, but I do like the backing singers this version has. I think the best thing about Amor are his lyrics.

"Shake it down, shake it dooooooown!"

Currently listening to AKINO's (she's from bless4, for those who haven't heard of 'em, they're originally from Utah but they're of Japanese descent. Sexy mofos.) lovely Yoko Kanno-infused 'Go Tight'. 'Go Tight's' the second opening for the anime, AQUARION, which is a full-mecha anime that pays homage to old time mecha classics like Gundam and shizz. Cool stuff. Sooo yeah, Yoko's awesome, I'd have her babies if I could but I lack a Moses staff, plus she's too old for meh. But yeaaaah her music does things to my brain and either makes me: zone out, chill out, freak out in happiness, or a combo of all three at some point. 'Go Tight' does the third one . . . persistently. I think it's the combination of Akino's lovely English skills (although more than 1/4 of the song is in Japanese) and that funky guitar instrumentation. It's so jazzy and upbeat. Looooooove. Yeah, 'kay I'm done. <3333

B.O.B ft. Eminem & Hayley Williams - Airplanes Pt.2

As much as I love (and am addicted to) Airplanes pt.1, I personally prefer having the extra rap section by Eminem. To me, Eminem 'completes' the song - there was something a bit missing and empty in the first version. Both B.O.B and Eminem do a fantastic job with their rapping as ever - though Eminem sounds like the better of the two. Hayley is as splendid as ever. Her voice is beautiful and she is very congruous in this song with the other two.

Blue - The Universal

Discovered this badn today while surfing youtube. Really caught my atention with the guitar and instruments. Haven't looked into too many other songs by them yet, but seems promising.

clare got me into this, as a general rule, i hate anything calre listens to, she has the worst taste in music EVER. but i really like this. It ace, and he sings with a very irish accent, which earns brownie points :8F:

White Sky - Vampire Weekend
I don't think they've released it as a single yet, so I'd say it'll be their next one. :hmmm: Really really nice stuff from then, with a chorus that just makes me smile.

Inside Of You - The Maine

I love this band. :lew: Jeff picked me up the 1st album in America seeing they didn't sell here. :andry: If they don't this time, I might consider the same thing. xD July 13th their new album is coming out. Really looking forward to some songs, specially Saving Grace. This is one they already released, from their up coming album Black & White. :ryan: I like how this song is so playful, and you can take it in a lot of ways. :lew: Stated is that it's getting inside of someone's heart though. :ryan:

I’m on a trip,
I can’t get off,
I can’t get over…
I want it all, I want it all
Inside of you…
I call you you up
You’re getting off I’m coming over
You’re 21
I see your eyes you’re barely sober
I hear your voice
You’re calling out
From me to you
I pour a drink
You move in quick, you’re moving forward
Then you said,
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna be inside of you
And I said,
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna see inside of you
Because, I know, I’m gonna fall
And you’ll be waiting for it all
Because, I know, I know, I know
I can’t get inside of you, inside of you.
This fragile game
It’s like a train that’s headed nowhere
It never stops
And I can’t see the exit sign
We’re headed North
I see the cliff we’re getting closer
So don’t say that you just want to run away
Replay all the things that I tried to say
I’m 21
So you’re getting off
I’m coming over
Then you said,
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna be inside of you
And I said,
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna see inside of you
Because, I know, I’m gonna fall
And you’ll be waiting for it all
Because, I know, I know, I know
I can’t get inside of you, inside of you.
I’m on a trip, I can’t get off,
I can’t get over…
I want it, I want it all
Inside of you
I call you up,
You’re getting off, I’m coming over
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna be inside of you
And I said,
Noooo, woahhhh
I’m never gonna see inside of you
Because, I know, I’m gonna fall
Because, I know, I know
I can’t get inside of you, inside of you.
I know, I’m gonna fall
And you’ll be waiting for it all
Because, I know, I know, I know
I can’t get inside of you, inside of you.
I’m on a trip, I can’t get off,
I can’t get over…
I want it, I want it all
Inside of you
I call you up,
You’re getting off, I’m coming over
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)

Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac

I've been loving the Tango In The Night album recently, and this is the best song on the album. It's such a wonderfully, unashamed, pop song. The vocal layering and the harmonies on the chorus work wonderfully. The chorus is just... huge. It hits you instantly and sticks in your head for hours. xD

Space Bound- Eminem

I'm like, so obsessed with this song I can't stop listening to it x]

Eminem has this way of... delivering. His flow is right on key and he's just
amazing I think <3 he's much better then thet other rappers out there.

His songs are addicting especially this one:-)

I just been listening to his new album non-stop I love it so much xD.

He's very talented and a great rapper hands down =)

Forces of Nature
After Life
Defiants Underground hip hip

Really underground camparing it to todays ainstream hip hop. It has more of an original feel to that alot of the big ones don't have. Keyboard and drum kicks=win. Really a great tune for any hip hop ans out there.

Crying Lightning - Arctic Monkeys
The only good song off their third album. It's not a bad one compared to their other stuff, but they've definitely lost what it was that made them so good in the first place. There's no more tongue-in-cheek about their music anymore.

Dixie Chicks - Travelin' Soldier

What a sad, love song. It's so beautiful. The meaningful lyrics and how they sing it really makes you feel for people that have gone through situations like this. It's as heartbreaking as it gets.

I'm also listening to it because it's the Fourth of July and I think it fits our day.

Rush Together - Quietdrive

Gorgeous song. The lyrics sites seem to be confused as far as the lyrics go, so I made my own little lyric sheet. x] Great song, and a very good band. Been listening to quite a lot of their songs, and this one in particular today. =)

They grew up in the same old town
Never knowing the other was around
Read from the same damn books
Never gave each other looks
But one day the sun will shine
I know
For their eyes have told me so
Chasing advice from those who say
I’ve lost my mind

Chorus
Rush together to find each other
Now it’s too late
You can never wait for luck
Forever bound
By the same instrument
We all adhere
That’s guilt

So that’s how the story goes
So far
I’ll tell you the rest
But now
I’m tired of what I think
A situation where I can’t sing
But I hate the vagrant life
I know
Nothing has been more sold
‘Til Now
Living my life after those who say I’ve lost my mind

Chorus

This is the end
Of the song
Where the facts are laid out for you
In a nice little line
But I’m trying
To portray my experiences
As clear as I can
In another day
At another time
We can stand
Hand in hand
In the end

So what do you say?
What do you say?
Can we turn this clock back
Thirteen years
And relate
I won’t mind
Can we stay?
Isn’t it fate?
Isn’t it fate?
That we spill our guts out
On this very day
I don’t mind
I want to
I want to
Stay
