What sort of scale are you talking about here? The 1000-9999 hp Mark? We are talking about when both characters have their stats pretty much, maxed out. Once that is done, you can then truly judge who is better. In this instance, Lulu is due to her multi-hit Overdrive. Kimahri fails to have one of these.

I rarely use Khimarhi, I barely used him at the start as I thought his overdrive was pants & considering how hard he looked, I found him to be quite weak. Obviously once you max the stats everyone prettymuch evens out if you use those extra slots and whatnot, but by then Id got used to not using him.....

Actually, I didn't like Kimarhi at first and went through the game with him as my second Black Mage... Didn't much care for him, because I could never pick which way I wanted him to go, and ended up wasting alot of his move thingies. XD
But now, he's actually pretty dag on good. I got him goin' down Wakka's path, and he knows alotta status-effectors. I also used special sphere stuff to make him learn Haste, and will soon lead him to Lulu's higher path with the big guns like Firaga. And I'm gonna use special spheres for healing. He's a pretty good all-round character, and I think that's what he was actually meant to be. I mean, come on, the Lancet attack proves he can use a wide variety of moves, why not take advantage of his position?

I made Kimarhi as a second Balck Mage the first time around, never again. Now I tend to have him follow Tidus or Aurons routes.

I enjoyed using his Ronso ability limit breaks, I had him as Tidus's grid and then teleported him to get some curative spells on Yuna's side.

i never used Kimahri but i had to use him now and then for the battle against his brothers later on and he needs Steal for lvl 3 spheres
Precisely... I hated when Yuna got taken away for awhile... that was one of the most excruciating part of the game, without the healing abilities.... I'm just weird though, I hate using items unless absolutely necessary... so Yuna ended up being necessary for my battles.
I used Kimahri, because sometimes I found Wakka equally useless. Besides, Auron and Tidus were my power characters and Yuna and was my defensive character so it never actually mattered at all.
Well, I think Wakka was kind of useful in the fact that his attack power evened out eventually, it's just that Kimahri had to leech into other people's sphere grid if he wanted to be useful. Kind of like those mimic fiends, only he had his own unique overdrive, which of course relied on fiends to be powerful.
It's a good character class idea, but I just don't think many gamers utilized it to realize it's fullest potential. I mean, if you could send Kimahri across and get the best skills/stats from each section of the sphere grid, he could be well-rounded and relatively lethal. It's just that no one cba to do that.

There really was no need for kimahri at all
there ws never that urge to put him in your battle line, like auron or lulu to spice things up a bit, or for extra power or jst 4 fun
He needs alot better overdrives, he only had like 3 useful ones like mighty guard or sunburst.
It feels like he ws thrown in as an afterthought, all the other characters are specialist and hes the only non human, they wer probs thinking oh no we are discriminating against our own created races better have a ronso in the party.
and if u train anyone up they become useful, even rikku and kimahri

Hey now, Rikku leveled up really fast in my game (I don't know how) and she became the second strongest (next to Tidus I think).
