What are you currently reading?

Finished off Ian Irvine's The Curse of the Chosen which was pretty good although not at the same level as his previous works. Now going through Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Supremecy, pretty good so far and like Identity it's got an almost completely different story.

"Nightfall" - by Isaac Asimov & Robert Silverberg and

"Secrets, lies and democracy" - Noam Chomsky

Both pretty good pieces...

Trying to read Stardust by Neil Gaiman. I want to finish reading it before I watch the film...

I'm reading a teen fiction novel (even though I'm not teen anymore but I bought that book several years ago and then I just forgot about it) called Artemis Fowl. Written by an Irish lad about and Irish lad who meets a real fairy. A drunken fairy :monster:

I love that book. The first one is easily the best imho.

I'm reading
1) The Redemption of Althalus by David and Leigh Eddings
2) Regeneration by Pat Barker
3) Magician by Raymond E. Feist

Blah, at the moment I simply don't have time to read real books, so all my friends and I have started reading Manga xD I'm collecting the Dragonball ones =] re-reading the 4th one again ^__^

I finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest a couple weeks ago, and it was pretty good. I also finished Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare, and am currently rereading it for a worksheet, an essay, and a music project. It's probably my favorite Shakespearean play next to Hamlet.
thats really good, and its sad at the end dont you think?

i prefer othello to hamlet, but thats because i love Iago:wacky: i know a certain person disagrees with me on this, but Iago is made of win imo

I've stopped reading the castle for the moment, as its a hard book to read, and have started cancer ward by solzhenitsyn, which sounds good, though i havent read much

Taking a writing class I have a few I'm reading for that and then one for myself.

Class:
12 Short Stories and Their Making: Paul Mandelbaum
Turning Life into Fiction: Robin Hemley
The Story Behind the Story: Peter Turchi

Personal:
Trickster Makes this World: Lewis Hyde
A New Earth: Eckhart Tolle

I am reading The Book of the Dead by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. It's the third book in a trilogy, a thriller/murder kind of book. I'm rather hooked on it and it's going to be greatly disappointing when I do.

Bridget Jones : The Edge of Reason.

Hilarious book, I've been gripped to it all day. Cannot imagine why I hated it and its prequel before I re-read them this week :|

Northern Lights - Philip Pullman

I have the trilogy but never got round to reading them, but it's been recommended that I read them now. >.< So that's what I'm doing, and so far I'm liking it... well, I'm on page 1 but it's an oh-so gripping page. >_>

The Subtle Knife - Philip Pullman
Started to read this finally and enjoying it so far, liking how it's started with the introduction with Will and hoping that it'll continue the high standard set in the first book.

^ Very good book. I read it a few years back, and I absolutely loved it.

Under the Jolly Roger- L.A. Meyer

A book about this orphan girl who disguises herself as a boy and ends up on a British Warship called the Dolphin. She keeps her identity a secret, calling it the "deception", but when puberty hits she is almost found out. Also, the fact that she has fallen in love with another boy onboard doesn't help matters. It's actually the third book in a 7 book series, and it's a really entertaining read. I still have some more books to go, but so far they're all wonderful.

Trying to read Hamlet right now. I've heard some really good things about it, although my friend tells me it's horrible, so I'll just have to see. It'll probably take me some time to understand it though... it's the first Shakespeare play I've read without the help of notes or a teacher... or a film adaptation. :wacky: I've also not seen it in theatre either, which usually helps.. ah well.

Currently reading "Across The Nightingale Floor" by Lian Hearn. Its the first part out of three which takes place during the time of the samurai.

I really like it, Lian Hearn really manages to describe everything well, and you can almost see it all as if you were there. Which some authors lack.

am reading a manga called!!!

cli-max

Mod Edit: Please add a bit more effort to your post. Thank you.

After loosing my copy of Totally Frank (Lampards auto-biography) i decided to read Lewis Hamilton's Auto-biography, which after deciding to read i realised that my dad stole it from me like 2 weeks after christmas day (when i was given it by my sister) so i couldn't read that so i decided to read A Child called it (Again) it is possibly the only book i have read cover to cover that wasn't for school it is a great book (although it is about child abuse) it is well written and depicts a horrific story, the only book that has ever brought a tear to my eye

Now reading The Amber Spyglass by Phillip Pullman and about 100 pages through it now. Glad that Iorek is back in the story again and Will is proving to be a pretty cool character as well. The developments in the story have been really good as well and has brought that epic feeling that was missing in The Subtle Knife and should prove to be another awesome read.
